At Xcelerate Nike Lacrosse Camps, our goal is to bring out the very best in every player we coach. Xcelerate Lacrosse offers a specialized Shooting-Dodging clinic and LSM-Defensive clinic from 1:30pm-4:30pm on the first day of camp. Clinic check-in is at 1:00pm with dinner at approximately 5:00pm. The clinics will be taught by top players and coaches.

Saint Louis University – Girls Lacrosse Overnight & Day Camp
Due to local and state regulations, we anticipate having to reduce our enrollment numbers significantly this year.
As a result, we expect a high demand for these first-come-first-serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.
This summer, we are offering one session of Overnight with Extended Day Camp (9:00AM to 9:00PM) and Day Camp (9:00AM to 4:00PM) options available.
At Xcelerate Nike Lacrosse Camps, our goal is to bring out the very best in every player we coach. In doing so, we focus our energies on building confidence and improving skills through innovative drills, small-sided games, position-specific training, and team driven competition. We encourage our campers to play hard, be creative, and have fun! At the end of the week, our campers leave with a higher lacrosse IQ, an enhanced skill set, new role models, new friends, and a true love of the game!

A detailed camper registration packet containing check-in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers prior to camp. Our health and release forms do not require a doctor’s signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.

SUPERVISION
Campers are supervised 24 hours a day. The staff live in the dormitories with the campers and participate in evening activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.

DAILY SCHEDULE
We have three sessions per day. A great deal of instruction takes place in the early part of the day, demonstrations and instruction mid-day, and games during the evening session. We also like to throw in a number of ‘fun’ activities like our fastest shot contest, freestyle/skills competition, talent show, rec time, and camper vs. coach game.

All these more than wealthy people, multimillionaires, many of whom could afford to live even in Monaco, even in Beverly Hills, completely voluntarily made this relatively small city on the banks of the Mississippi River their main home.

For those who come to St. Louis on business, this is at first difficult to believe.The business center of the city, in which the home arena “Blues” is located and in which we, the journalists sent by the league, will spend all our time, does not at all give the impression of a place where you want to stay at least a little longer. There are few pedestrians here even in the daytime, but with the onset of darkness it becomes completely deserted. And it’s understandable why: According to the official FBI Crime Index annually, St. Louis is by far the highest average violent crime rate in the United States.
But as soon as you start asking about the city of the veterans living in it, their eyes light up, and there are notes of sincere gratitude and love in their voice.

The shop, located at 721 Old Frontenac Square has expanded its store, its services and now offers an online shop at http://www.stickstop.com. The Stickstop is the only retail store in Missouri that completely services the lacrosse and field hockey communities and has been in business since 2004.
“After going live with our e-commerce site in 2009 we quickly realized that our old name, Stickhead Lacrosse, was interfering with our growth,” said Carolyn Freeman, partner. “We did not own that domain name and therefore we were confusing our customers daily. Our previous mark did not include field hockey in its name, which wasn’t representative of our services. Amanda and I felt like it was time to create our own identity and honor our field hockey and lacrosse players equally. Saint Louis University – Girls Lacrosse Overnight & Day Camp
Due to local and state regulations, we anticipate having to reduce our enrollment numbers significantly this year. As a result, we expect a high demand for these first-come-first-serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.
This summer, we are offering one session of Overnight with Extended Day Camp (9:00AM to 9:00PM) and Day Camp (9:00AM to 4:00PM) options available.
At Xcelerate Nike Lacrosse Camps, our goal is to bring out the very best in every player we coach. In doing so, we focus our energies on building confidence and improving skills through innovative drills, small-sided games, position-specific training, and team driven competition. We encourage our campers to play hard, be creative, and have fun! At the end of the week, our campers leave with a higher lacrosse IQ, an enhanced skill set, new role models, new friends, and a true love of the game!

SUPERVISION
Campers are supervised 24 hours a day. The staff live in the dormitories with the campers and participate in evening activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.

We also like to throw in a number of ‘fun’ activities like our fastest shot contest, freestyle/skills competition, talent show, rec time, and camper vs. coach game.

Bigfoot Lacrosse Is Closing, But That Doesn’t Mean It’s Gone
Jonathan Stevens, owner of Bigfoot Lacrosse, has been a staple in the state of Oregon for more than 20 years. But this summer, he will be looking forward to a new chapter in his life.
“Honestly, I never expected to [own Bigfoot] this long,” Stevens said.
This month, Bigfoot Lacrosse will leave its physical location to be replaced by Lacrosse Northwest, which will use the space as a lacrosse training facility and retail store. It will conclude more than 15 years of Bigfoot Lacrosse operating a storefront.
Stevens has been the man behind Bigfoot the entire time, and we all know him as its owner, but who is Jon Stevens?
“I’m just a boy who refuses to grow up,” he explained.
Stevens discovered lacrosse at age 12 in Pittsford, New York. One day after track practice, he walked into the gym and saw some kids playing with a weird-looking stick.
“I saw them playing with a stick, and I decided to start playing in ninth grade,” he said, “and like most people who see or pick up their first stick, its over.”
He fell in love with the game.
“The coolest part was where it came from…the Creator…playing to appease a higher power, that’s what makes lacrosse so different and special,” Stevens said.
While attending Syracuse, he was in awe of the Gait brothers.
“People say the St. Louis Rams were the greatest show on turf, but [the Gait brothers] were the greatest show on turf,” he explained.
After walking out of the Dome one day after a game, he promised his friend that if he ever went into business, it would be to open a lacrosse store.
Years later and after moving to Oregon, he realized there wasn’t a place where players could easily go get gear, and he knew lacrosse would take off. Stevens still had the idea of moving back home to New York and opening a store, but that eventually evolved.
“Why be the third guy in Upstate New York with a store when I could be the first in Oregon?” he said.
With Oregon being Sasquatch central, he figured Bigfoot would be a great name for the store. It helped that he already had an idea for the logo, too.
Over the last 20 years, Stevens has seen the sport grow to new heights in the state, and the rest of lacrosse in the country is taking notice, too.
“Oregon isn’t Long Island or Baltimore, but Oregon kids are making impacts at high-level programs,” Stevens said. “These kids aren’t just on rosters. Tucker Dordevic is the star midfielder at Syracuse, Ross Scott was starting as a freshman at Rutgers…Oregon is on the map.”
Since its inception, Bigfoot Lacrosse has been a huge part of the lacrosse community in Oregon. Not only has Stevens had Bigfoot, but he has also been a coach and was even a part of the Portland LumberJax TV broadcast. But its the coaching and storefront where he has truly left his mark.
“I think Jon has been one of the most influential people in the state for the growth of lacrosse,” said Whipsnakes defender Colin Squires, who hails from The Beaver State. “Jon always has a smile on his face and is truly passionate about growing the game. I’m not sure where the sport in Oregon would be without the decades of service he put in at Bigfoot.”
Even though he receives high praise from the local community, Stevens knows it’s not all his doing.
“I deflect to the coaches who are out there making it happen,” he explained. “The growth of the game came from [the coaches] who stuck it out.”
One thing Stevens will surely miss is the relationships over the years Bigfoot Lacrosse has created. Even with all the struggles owning a business can have, there were plenty of moments that made it all worth it.
“I am never going to remember the financials,” he said. “What I’ll remember is the kids; watching them not know how to pick up a ground ball as a kid to making varsity and going to play in college. My manager started at 16 and is now 34 with two kids. He went from a troubled kid to one of the most respected coaches in the state of Oregon. This game put him on the right track. I watched it happen with several kids.”
The memory of Bigfoot Lacrosse won’t disappear. The store will have new ownership and be under a different name, but the Bigfoot brand will live on. Stevens still plans on making merchandise with the Bigfoot logo – it will just have a different purpose.
“Formerly a retail outlet, currently a vibe,” Stevens remarked as of his ideas for the brand.
Stevens looks forward to his next challenge in life. He’s always had the desire to take on a bigger role in coaching.
“The appeal of taking on the challenge as a head coach has always been on my mind, and it’s hard to do that as an owner of a store,” he explained.
He knows that he can truly have a bigger impact on the game now that he will have more time on his hands. He hopes to be coaching and running camps to help grow the game to new heights, or maybe it’s traveling the country and writing about lacrosse as writing has always been a hobby of his.
“I loved Anthony Bourdain,” Stevens said. “I could be [him] in lacrosse, riding my motorcycle and telling stories about the game.”

They parked Goodman’s car at the top of the hill outside Seattle and decided they would not move until they came up with an idea for a new company. Four hours later, the concept was found: high quality team socks for lacrosse players – a team game in which two teams try to hit the opponent’s goal with a rubber ball. the ball is caught, carried and thrown at the opponent’s goal.
Taking the $ 1400 they received from their parents at their prom, the friends used Tradekey.com and Alibaba.com to gauge the demand for socks they designed with Microsoft Paint. One of the most beautiful California missions, San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, was founded by Father Junipero Serra in 1772 and dedicated to Saint Louis, Bishop of Toulouse in France.The modern building dates back to 1793. The Spanish missionaries who arrived here called the area “La Canada de Los Osos” (“Bear Canyon”) because the grizzly bear is native to the area. Serra’s father decided that La Canada de Los Osos would be the ideal location for his mission due to its mild climate, abundant fresh water and food (including bear meat). Another advantage was that the local Chumash (Indian) tribe was missionary friendly.
Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa is a large complex overlooking San Luis Creek and Mission Square in a quiet countryside setting.Typical for Spanish missions, the building was built of clay and has ported arcades. A lush garden is planted at the back of the courtyard. Mission Church is one of the most decorative historic missions in California. With a simple altar and high ceilings supported by wooden beams, the sanctuary has a tranquil atmosphere. A brightly colored floral pattern along the walls and arches gives the church interior a cheerful look.
