How To Dye A Lacrosse Head Black At Home
The sport of lacrosse is an exciting game but known to many as an expensive sport. To play this game, an individual needs a lacrosse stick to which the lacrosse head is attached. Since lacrosse gears are relatively costly, those who own them ensure proper care.
One of the fantastic things about having a lacrosse stick is that you can have the lacrosse head dyed at any time. Different people dye their lacrosse heads for various reasons. The main one is to make it distinct and appealing to their preference.
There are many kinds of dyes to choose from when looking to dye the lacrosse head. The easier way would be to spray-paint the lacrosse head; however, it is best to use RIT dye for better and satisfactory results.
Are you looking to dye your lacrosse head at home? Easy. The supplies needed for the dyeing process are black RIT dye, goof off liquid, dish liquid preferably dawn, brushes, and sponges. For those that would love to use the decals, a decal transfer paper, and a decal vinyl sheet is essential.
Dyeing your lacrosse head can be expensive as the process requires a lot of attention to be done right, especially when there is a mix-up of colors and when using decals. Getting a solid black dye is easier. Dyeing at home is less expensive hence preferred by many.
Here is a detailed, step-by-step process on how to dye your lacrosse head black at home.
1. Since you need the lacrosse head only dyed, remove the lacrosse strings from the head and set them aside, preventing the strings from getting dyed.
2. Use a sponge to clean the lacrosse head with the dawn and cool, clean water. It is essential to remove any dirt on the lacrosse head before starting the dyeing process.
3. Let the head dry after cleaning.
4. Cut and remove the vinyl decals. This step is for those using decals to decorate the head.
5. Use the transfer paper to apply the decals to the head. Once you stick the decals on the areas you want to decorate, use a little heat to ensure the decals stick well on the lacrosse head and prevent dye bleeding.
6. Get a heat-proof pot and boil 2-3 liters of water. Hit this to 180 degrees. A lot of water is needed to ensure it covers the whole lacrosse head when dipped in the water.
7. Pour in the black dye, carefully stir to get a soup form, and then dip the lacrosse head. Leave it for some time, preferably 10 minutes, for a darker shade. Getting a dark dye may not be easy; that is why an individual should ensure that they leave the head in the dye for many minutes.
8. Once the head is fully dyed, remove it from the pot and transfer it to a sink.
9. Rinse the head with cool water, spray goof off and scrub using the brush. Putting enough goof off will help in removing excess dye and keep the stick clean.
10. If you have decals, pill them off and do a quick wash to ensure there are no pieces of the decals left.
11. Put the head in a freezer for 2-3 minutes to stiffen the dye. This step is not a must-do step. It, however, helps make sure the dye sinks in the lacrosse head well.
Conclusion
Dyeing your lacrosse head can be fun and often gives satisfactory results because of the customization to fit individuals’ needs. However, continuous dyeing of the lacrosse head weakens the plastic used to make the head, which is quite annoying and negative to many. Therefore, it is vital to ensure you care for your lacrosse head, dyeing once in a while, to avoid the tedious dyeing process.

Goalkeeper equipment: helmet
Becoming a goalkeeper is one of the most exciting challenges for a hockey player. Despite the fact that the goalkeeper cannot boast of long distance on the ice, or spectacular shots, he occupies the most difficult position. The goalkeeper’s play must be flawless, but it often comes with difficult challenges. To keep them to a minimum, the player is provided with the best equipment possible. And as many know, in order to avoid injury, it is better to pay due attention to the correct selection of protective elements. One of these is the helmet.
A little background
On January 13, 1968, Minnesota North Stars rookie center Billy Masterton just passed the puck to teammate Wayne Connelly. Two defenders of the Oakland Seals suddenly appeared out of nowhere and stopped Masterton. He immediately lost his balance and fell backward, hitting his head on the hard ice. 30 hours later, Masterton died of a head injury. Since that fateful day, at least eight players have died from injuries on the ice.Fast forward 50 years when hockey players wear some of the most technologically advanced helmets that have saved countless lives.
In the early days of hockey, there were no helmets, masks or any kind of protective equipment, because this was not a priority. It is therefore not surprising that lacerations to the face, concussions and other head injuries were fairly common. In those days, it was rare to see a hockey player whose front teeth remained intact. The first hockey player to wear a helmet regularly was George Owen when he played for the Boston Bruins from 1928 to 1929.At that time, helmets and protective equipment were not required to play. In fact, due to peer and fan pressure, many players felt ridiculed and ashamed to wear a helmet.
For those brave souls who valued their safety, helmets and other protective equipment were made with their own hands, because there were no standards. They took strips of soft leather and sewed them together to form a very rough beanie with a chin strap. He offered little in terms of personal protection, but at least he could potentially soften the blow of a direct puck hit.Despite repeated injuries, lacerations, concussions and knocked out teeth, most hockey players refused to wear protective clothing for the next 40 years, until an incident in the late 1960s changed the way people view hockey safety.
Styles and functionality of the helmet
With the development of technology, equipment for athletes has improved. As concussions and lingering head injuries become an increasingly serious problem for players over the course of their careers and even after retirement, helmets remain an important part of the game.
All helmets NHL and KHL are made according to the specified standards and requirements: they must have a rigid outer shell made of durable plastic and other composite materials, several layers of protective foam padding designed to cushion the head in the event of an impact. They also feature strategically positioned cooling vents and adjustable chin straps for a snug, snug fit. All junior hockey players must wear a helmet that is surrounded by an all-metal cage with a visor.
What is the difference between a goalkeeper’s helmet and a field player?
By the way, a goalkeeper’s helmet is seriously different from a field player’s helmet, since the former must additionally provide neck protection and have a greater degree of strength in the face area. This is why goalkeepers are prohibited from wearing visors or hybrid masks. The face should be completely covered by the lattice cage.
Players are now choosing the best protective gear on the market, and advances in technology have made players more protected than ever.
Wire cage.
Wire cage (lattice) – The wire cage is made of very durable aluminum, steel or titanium and is the most popular form of protection for players. While it provides the most protection available, it can reduce vision as the wires are directly in the player’s field of vision. Some players paint their squares white to make the black puck more visible.
There are several other types of helmets, but these days they are rarely used in official matches. For example, a classic mask that completely covers the face and has small slits for the eyes and mouth. Such equipment can often be seen in the movies.
The rules of modern hockey do not prohibit goalkeepers from decorating their helmets with bright and colorful airbrushing, and the design itself may differ from the standard one. Often, viewers are delighted with natural works of art, which give their owners extra confidence. For some players, such decoration of equipment becomes a hallmark that emphasizes their individuality and personal preferences.
How to choose a helmet for a goalkeeper in hockey?
If you are just starting out in the goalkeeper area, you need to determine the size of your court. If you plan to go out on non-standard ice, then the equipment will be appropriate. Almost all helmets have many modifications that you need to familiarize yourself with before buying.Studying the specifications of standard or custom equipment is the main nuance when choosing a helmet.
For those interested in ordering standard goalkeeper equipment, reviewing the available specifications is optional. The main thing is that the helmet fits in size and does not cause discomfort, is light and durable. There should be an additional layer of soft material under the base material of durable plastic to dissipate the force of the puck’s impact. Manufacturers of goalkeeper pads produce both standard and special pads.Professional hockey players pay special attention to this.
A good helmet is essential. In fact, if you are using a non-certified product, you will not be able to participate in any ice hockey competition. You must also use a certified safety cage, which is an integral part of the entire structure. A plastic neck protector will need to be matched to each helmet. These protectors are usually attached directly to a helmet or cage.
One of the most common goalkeeping mask myths is that the heavier the mask, the better the protection.
The best goalkeeper helmets in hockey
Before we get to the list of the best equipment, remember that this is the most important investment, not only for the goalkeeper position, but for any hockey player. Appreciate your health and do not choose those things that are offered without an appropriate certificate.
Remember that all goalkeeper helmets must meet safety requirements and be certified. This means that the protective equipment is subjected to certain tests for durability and functionality. Minimum requirements include: coverage area, field of view, chin strap strength and elongation, face mask impact resistance, and impact absorption by the helmet liner.
The helmet and mask combination is attached to the headform under test to simulate real world conditions as accurately as possible. The headgear must provide adequate coverage and field of view. An imitation club blade is used to prevent contact with the face through the holes in the face mask. The equipment is then cold conditioned for a puck impact test. The puck is launched into a specific area of the mask at maximum speed. After that, the degree of damage to the structure is assessed. The blows are applied to the center of the eye, mouth and lower part of the face.
Impact absorption is tested by dropping the helmet (with the headform inside) on a flat, hard surface. When falling on it, simulation is carried out using computer programs. With their help, you can determine the impact force transmitted through the helmet directly to the dummy head. This test is performed at normal ambient temperatures, hot and cold conditions. In each of these conditions, the helmet must absorb the minimum amount of energy to meet the requirements of the standard.
The Three Best Goalkeeper Helmets of 2021:
- Bauer 960 XPM / Bauer NME VTX (Best Overall Helmet Series). Many professionals prefer this particular outfit. But here it is worth noting the fact that the Bauer 960 XPM are standard helmets with an appropriate selection of sizes. For a wider head, consider the Bauer NME VTX.
- Warrior Ritual F1 Pro
- CCM Axis Pro
Decent, time-tested options:
- Vaughn Pros Choice
- SportMask T3
- Warwick
- Bauer NME IX
- Coveted 906
- Bauer 950
For young hockey players, special series of helmets from well-known manufacturers are better suited:
- Bauer 940X
- CCM Axis 1.50 (Youth)
- Bauer NME 4 (Youth)
- CCM Carbon 1.5 (Youth)
The price of youth goalkeeper masks has increased in recent years, but this is not an element to save on. Your child should be protected as much as possible not only from a flying puck, but also from accidental blows with a club and a blade between the bars of the net.

Graphite what color is it for eyebrows
what tone it is, what it looks like
One of the color options for coloring is graphite for eyebrows. The shade has become popular with young girls and women. Its difference is that it is suitable for almost any color type and face shape. This shade is often confused with gray hair. However, it resembles the dark pigment of a pencil lead.
It looks like a black shade with a silver sheen, like wet asphalt.Depending on the intensity of application, it is suitable for dark and light hair. However, it should not be used if the skin is unhealthy, or it has imperfections, irregularities. A color mixture can be prepared from several pigments depending on the desired result.
Features of graphite color: in contrast to black
@ vorontsova.makeup
Graphite brows involve the application of a cool shade of gray. This color often looks like pencil lead or asphalt. The tone may contain shades of blue or black palette, which gives additional volume to the hair. Most often, a dark shade is used for ash, black or light brown hair. For a cold blonde, light gray tones are selected.
@refectocil_international
Since the range of shades is significant, graphite is considered universal. The shade is chosen depending on the tone of the hair and the density of its lines. Gray tones are used with cold shades in appearance. The saturation of the pigment depends on how long the dye will stay on the hair. For blondes, the holding time of the paint is minimal.
An allergy test is done at home before applying the paint. Before staining, the shape is corrected in advance. Graphite is popular for blondes, the gray tone visually increases the density of the lines.
There are some differences from the black tone. Black pigment includes shades of the same scale, the result is a uniform black color that does not change with the direction of light. Graphite dyes include several tones – grayish, blue, black.Saturation can vary.
Top paints in graphite color
@sferakosmetiki
Graphite eyebrow color can be obtained by using the color of the desired shade. A large palette of graphite colors for eyebrows and hair is offered. Before choosing a tone, you need to pay attention to the parameters of the paint.
Basic rules for selection and use:
- The dye must be safe – there are certification marks on it.
- The product must be free of allergens.
- The expiry date should be checked.
- The box must contain a colorant, a container for mixing substances, an oxidizing agent, a brush for application, instructions.
- It is recommended to use caring agents to restore the skin.
- The oxidant is sold in various concentrations. The higher it is, the more resistant the pigment will be.
One of the products from the professional line is Estel dye.
@natasha_dovgal
It has a standard filling of the package. With constant use, the paint is enough for up to six months. The dye is washed out slowly, about a month. Skin marks, according to reviews, can be easily removed with a makeup remover.
Another composition for professional painting – RefectoCil.
@refectocil_international
Apply when gray hair is present. It lasts for about a month and a half, after which it is gradually washed out. On average, the substance is enough for 20 stains. To get the most effective shade, you can first lighten your brows with a paste of the same brand.
One of the safest paint products is henna.
@browhenna
It contains natural ingredients, rarely leads to allergic reactions. A little powder is diluted and applied for 10-15 minutes, after which it is washed off. Natural components from henna contain the product Godefroy, which is produced in the USA. Features of its use – contains natural substances, is available in capsules. Coloring is done quickly, but the disadvantage is the high price.
To see if this shade suits your face, you can first use rinse-off makeup. It includes shadows, pencil, tint gel. If graphite is combined with skin and hair tones, you can color them for a longer period.
Matching graphite eyebrows
@refectocil_international
Grayish graphite eyebrows are often made with light hair. For blondes with a warm tone, light brown or beige colors are suitable. If the shade is cold, a cold tone is chosen – grayish. With light hair, dark eyebrows should not be done, it looks unnatural. The dye on the eyebrows should be no more than 1-2 tones different from the hair.
Grayish color suitable for light brown hair with a cold tone.
@refectocil_international
Graphite pigment is not suitable for red hair and brown hair. Black or graphite or brownish tones are most popular for brunettes.
Graphite tone is considered almost universal and suits different types of appearance. It makes the eyes more expressive and visually increases the density.Painting can be done for a long time with professional dyes, or you can use a cosmetic pencil, shadows, mascara.
Making graphite eyebrows (paint, tattooing)
@refectocil_international
Choose the option of coloring in a graphite tone, taking into account the characteristics of the body. Coloring with paint involves dyeing only the hair; the pigment is quickly washed off the skin. If there are bald spots and gaps, you can get a tattoo.
When tinting is applied:
- Invisible eyebrows.
- Lines burn out quickly.
- Thick eyebrows, but the shade does not match the hair.
There are some contraindications for implementation. The main one is allergy to paint, as well as irritation and damage to the skin, some eye diseases. The plus is that there are few restrictions after the action, the result lasts for about a month. The downside is that periodically you need to perform a new procedure.
Tattooing involves the introduction of paint under the skin. Due to this, the lines visually look more voluminous, the shade changes.Distinguish between the technique of drawing hairs and shading.
@nanobrovi
The plus of the performance is that in the future you do not need to apply makeup on the eyebrows. The tattoo is not erased or washed off with water, it lasts up to 3 years.
The disadvantage of performing is that there are many contraindications, healing after performing is long. If you want to get rid of the pigment, you can only remove it with a remover or laser.
Tips for choosing the best eyebrow color
Q: Which shade of eyebrow powder is right for me?
A: This can vary depending on how much eyebrow hair you have.If you have a lot of eyebrow hair, we recommend trying to match the color as accurately as possible. If you have sparse hair, we usually recommend:
- dark-haired people should be one or two shades lighter than head hair
- blond hair two shades darker than head hair
The rules are just “conventional wisdom” and may not be the best option for you.
We have found that most of our clients prefer eyebrow powder and say it is very soft and natural looking.
Many African American and Latina women report that dark brown powder works exceptionally well (although we have some who say black is best). Asian women tell us that soft black and soft charcoal make them look beautiful.

Eyebrow tinting at home? – 5 best DIY eyebrow tinting tools
Eyebrow dyeing conquered the world, and how!
Gone are the days of the pale models of the Renaissance. Runways around the world are now taking on a sharper and bolder image, personified by characters like Cara Delevingne, She-of-the-Gorgeous-Arches, spawning a fashion trend that drives women between the ages of sixteen and sixty to rush to their homes. close.beauty salons.
But if you look at how most salons charge somewhere over $ 25 (and these are the simplest) for one seat tiny , which lasts only 10 minutes, for a fix that will barely last you a month, you will master the art of Eyebrow tinting DIY is more of a responsibility than a choice, I mean think about it – 25 times 12 (for every month you need to go back to the salon for touch-up) works up to $ 300 freaking! And as the saying goes, “every dollar saved is a dollar earned”!
So let’s get into hacking?
How to prepare eyebrows before coloring?
There are many reasons why you might want to tint your eyebrows (or consider tint if you are not already on this tripping). While the most obvious reason is that the color pays off, especially if you have pale skin and light eyebrows, dark-skinned people can also tint their eyebrows for a fuller look. In fact, whatever your skin, if sparse eyebrows are headaches. pain you would rather deal with than , toning is the miracle you’ve been waiting for your whole life.
First, let’s remember a few key points.
- To color the eyebrows, apply the color to the hair on the eyebrows. This means you will get it on the skin. Now, whether you use a chemical or plant dye, different people are known to react differently to dyes, which is why it is highly recommended to use the patch test.
To administer the patch test, apply a small amount of the dye of your choice to the inside of your wrist or upper arm. Leave the paint on for a while and then wash off with water. Wait for the next 48 hours to see if the paint is irritating your skin in any way.If not, go ahead.
- Avoid plucking / plucking / flossing for a week before dyeing your eyebrows, as these processes tend to irritate and inflame the skin.
- For to choose the right color for your skin tone , we recommend matching your darkest strands of hair, or making it one or two shades darker than your natural color. This means if you are blonde, go for a light brown. , dirty blonde / dark brown, etc.D.
Contrast brows are trending now, so if you are adventurous you can opt for contrast as well. Black eyebrows on blond hair and the like.
- Cleanse eyebrows to make sure there are no products or dirt on them.
For this, you can use either a damp cotton pad, a swab, or a soft dry cotton cloth. Make sure your eyebrows are completely dry before you start touching up, as the dye may not adhere well to damp hair.
- To avoid the appearance of color on the skin around the eyebrows, use a cotton swab dampened with petroleum jelly or any other petroleum jelly. Lightly lubricate the skin around the eyebrows with petroleum jelly, being careful not to get on the eyebrow itself.
You are now ready to start.
How to tint eyebrows at home?
The following 5 simple and best ways to tint your eyebrows yourself at home.
Method 1: For a simple shade
You will need
- Coil / Clean Mascara Stick
- Eyebrow Tint Kit of your choice
- Stopwatch / Timer on phone
- Cotton pads / paper towels
- Shampoo
- Cleanser / Toner
Step by Step Guide
Step 1.Run Spoolie / Clean Mascara Wand
Gently swipe the mascara / clean mascara stick over your brows to start. Make sure your brows are clean and completely dry before dyeing. Vaseline, if applied, should only be applied to the area surrounding the brow, not to it.
Step 2: Prepare the paste
Remove the kit. You will find that the kit consists of a bottle / tube of shade (color), another bottle / tube of developer cream, a tray / tiny bowl, and a small wooden stick.Since we are going to make a simple shade, add equal amounts of color and developer to the bowl and mix with the included stick to make it a thick paste.
Step 3. Apply the paste
(Note – for convenience we will work on one brow at a time)
Using the provided stick, start applying the paste to the brow starting from the inner corner (side to nose) and work outward. Alternatively, you can also use a cotton swab for this step.
For a natural look, do not dip the stick in fresh paste when applying to the outer corners. Instead, use the leftover paint on the stick / bud to cover the outer corner and debris (if any).
Step 4: Leave it on for a few minutes
The time it takes to leave the color depends on the manufacturer. Follow the instructions in your kit. It usually takes about 10 minutes. Take your phone or stopwatch to keep track of the time.
Step 5. Cleanse your brows
When the time is up, use a damp cotton pad to gently rub off the color. If you find it difficult to remove all the color, use a mild shampoo solution in water to cleanse your eyebrows.
Step 6: repeat on the second eyebrow
Repeat the process on the second eyebrow. Wait the same amount of time as on the first eyebrow before blending the color.
Step 7: Final Look
When your eyebrows are dry, you can admire your new look in the mirror! In addition, you can now pluck / pluck / wax / string your eyebrows at will to give them the shape you want.
Bonus tip – for better control over the shade
(If you don’t like leaving the result to fate)
For more control over the eyebrow color, we are going to change the time limit according to our needs.
- Set the stopwatch to three minutes after applying the paste. After three minutes, use a DRY cotton swab or paper towel to remove the color. If you’re happy with the shade that appears, stop now.If you want a darker shade, reapply the paste as described above. Reapply the shade and remove it every three minutes until you achieve the desired color. Make sure you only use dry cotton swabs.
- When the shade is satisfactory, use a damp cotton pad to gently rub off the color. If you find it difficult to get all the colors, use a mild shampoo solution in water to cleanse your eyebrows.
- Repeat the process for the second eyebrow.Make sure you apply the paste exactly the same number of times (and in three minute periods) as on the first brow to get an even tint on both brows.
- Done! Now you can pluck / pluck / wax / string the eyebrows as you wish to give them the shape you want.
P.S. – In case the color is too dark for your taste, follow the advice in the Tips and Precautions section below!
Method 2 – If plucking or plucking is absolutely essential
As previously mentioned, plucking / plucking / threading is strictly prohibited for at least a week before tinting eyebrows, at home or in the salon. However, in the rare situation where it is absolutely unavoidable, here’s what you do:
Step 1: Mark your eyebrows with a pen
Draw an imaginary line, or better yet, pull out a pen and mark two points at the extreme ends of your eyebrow – one in the innermost corner (near the nose), and the other in the farthest corner (towards the scalp). Connect the two dots.
The area bounded by the line connecting the two points and the arch of the eyebrow (the highest point of the eyebrow) should roughly form a triangle. This is an area that CANNOT be plucked or plucked until the stain is complete. However, feel free to remove any hair loss outside of this area.
Step 2: Follow these steps one by one
(The steps below are the same as those used in method 1)
- The general rule is to make sure your eyebrows are clean and dry before you start coloring. Start by gently brushing the mascara / clean mascara spatula over your brows. As I mentioned earlier, if you are using petroleum jelly to avoid skin discoloration, make sure you limit it to that area and not the brows that need to be dyed.
- It’s time to take a look at the kit. It will include a bottle / tube of shade (color), another bottle / tube of developer cream, a tray / tiny bowl, and a small wooden stick. Add equal amounts of dye and developer to the bowl and mix with a stick. You should have a thick, pasty consistency.
- (Note – let’s take our time and work on one eyebrow at a time)
Using a cotton swab or swab, apply the paste to the eyebrow – start at the inner corner (side towards your nose) and work your way out.
For a natural finish, do not immerse the stick in fresh paste when applying to outside corners. Instead, you can use the leftover paint on a stick to hide the street kids (if any) and the outer corner.
- So how long you keep it to get the shade you want depends a lot on the product. Just read the instructions on the kit. The standard time is about 10 minutes. Turn on the timer to keep track of Tim e.
- Using a damp cloth or cotton pad, gently wipe off the color when the time is up.If you find any traces of color, you can probably wash them off with a mild shampoo.
- Repeat steps also for the second eyebrow. But make sure you leave it on for the same length of time as the first eyebrow so the color looks the same.
- It’s time to take a look at your new image in the mirror! Do you want to make it attractive? Feel free to use tongs / tweezers / wax / thread to give it the shape you want.

Method 3 – Eyebrow Dyeing with Coffee
For those who think that there is no “too much coffee”, and for those who think coffee is great, but coffee doesn’t matter.(Even if the laws of your country apply.)
Yes, you understood me correctly. Coloring your eyebrows with coffee is as easy as drinking it. What’s more, if you are already a coffee drinker, chances are you already have all the ingredients you need right in your cup of coffee! But whether you are a coffee lover or not, coffee brow tinting is definitely a must for anyone looking to correct their brows in a completely natural way. Plus, the subtle color pays off, which you get with the coffee grounds (in case you’re not looking for a shade many shades darker than your original color) – another important argument in favor of coffee.
You will need
- Coffee grounds
- Cocoa powder
- Coconut oil
- Honey
- Spoolie / Clean mascara stick
- Stopwatch / Timer on phone
- Cotton pads / paper towels
Step
by Step Tutorial
Step 1
Add two tablespoons of coffee grounds along with a teaspoon of cocoa powder to a bowl.Mix well. Add two tablespoons of coconut oil and a tablespoon of honey to this mixture, and let the mixture stand. The final mixture should have a paste consistency and should not be too runny.
Step 2
Start by gently brushing the mascara / clean mascara spatula over your brows. As I mentioned earlier, your eyebrows must be completely clean and dry before you start coloring.
Since coffee is a natural ingredient, there is no need to worry about it staining your skin. Therefore, applying petroleum jelly to the area around the eyebrows (as indicated in Method 1) is an optional step.
Step 3
(Note – we will work on one brow to make it easier for you)
Apply the paste to the brow starting from the inner corner (side to nose) and work outward with the applicator with a flat brush or cotton sticks.
Step 4
Leave the coffee paste on for half an hour. If you want a darker shade, leave the paste for longer for your convenience.
Step 5
When the time is up, use a damp cotton pad to gently rub off the color.
Step 6
Do the same with the second eyebrow. Wait the same amount of time as on the first eyebrow before blending the color.
Step 7
Once your brows are dry, you’re ready to wah-wah!
NOTE: This method is a great option for people who have just waxed or plucked their eyebrows, as the chances of inflammation or irritation of open follicles from drinking coffee are practically nil.Anyway, a mixture of coffee, coconut oil and honey will only help soothe the skin.
A win-win, I said?
Method 4 – Eyebrow Dyeing with Henna
People have been using henna to dye their hair for centuries, and it was only a matter of time before someone applied it as an eyebrow dye! A natural alternative to most over-the-counter staining kits, henna is safe, affordable and readily available.
But keep in mind that henna eyebrow dyeing is not for everyone. Since henna has an orange tint, we think it is better for people with reddish or reddish brown hair, natural or dyed. But hey, personal opinions differ, and if you still want to try, then you have more strength!
You will need
- Organic Henna Powder
- Indigo Powder (optional)
- Vaseline
- Spoolie / Clean Mascara Stick
- Stopwatch / Timer on Phone
- Cotton Pads / Paper Towels
manual
Step 1
Take two tablespoons of organic henna powder in a bowl and add a little water to it.Stir well to remove any lumps from the mixture. The resulting consistency should be a paste and should not be too wet.
If one wishes for a brown / burgundy hue, indigo powder can be added in appropriate proportions.
Step 2
First, sweep the coil over clean, dry eyebrows. Apply petroleum jelly to the area around your eyebrows to avoid henna stains on your skin. Do not let the petroleum jelly get on the eyebrows themselves, as this will slow down the coloring process.
Step 3
(Note – let’s work on one brow at a time)
Using a cotton swab or flat brush applicator, apply the paste to the brow starting from the inside. corner (side to nose) and work your way out.
Step 4
Henna paste, if left outdoors it can dry out and flake off. To protect the shade, cover the henna-coated eyebrow with food-grade dressing. Spread the bandage around your eyebrow to remove any air bubbles.
Step 5
Leave the adhesive on and tint for about three hours for a decent color. If the henna is left on for a longer time, the color will become darker.
Step 6
After the set time, remove the cling film and wash your eyebrows with warm water. If you find it difficult to get all the colors, use a mild shampoo solution in water to cleanse your eyebrows.
Step 7
Now do the same with the second eyebrow. Before applying the color, make sure you leave it on for the same time as the first eyebrow.
Done!

Method 5 – Brow Tinting with Pencil / Powder / Eyebrow Gel
Yes, that’s not all. The style fairy feels especially cute today!
Many of us may be just starting out on our eyebrows but are not yet looking for more permanent options (like the ones discussed above). If you count yourself in this crowd, then pencils, powders and eyebrow gels make a huge difference to you. While longevity is definitely an issue for them, these little charms can help you experiment with your look before you choose one with which want to run. Darken, fill, lengthen – the world is your playground with these little ones.
You will need
- Eyebrow Powder
- Eyebrow Pencil
- Clean Mascara Stick
- Mirror
- A steady hand.
Step By Step Tutorial
Step 1
Gently sweep the mascara stick onto cleansed and dried brows.
Step 2
Using an eyebrow pencil, mark two points at the outer ends of the eyebrow – one in the inner corner (near the nose) and the other in the outer corner (extending to the scalp). Connect the two points along the natural curve of the brow as you do. If you really have nothing to talk about, just connect the two points with a straight or curved line, depending on your choice.
Step 3
In the same way, outline the top of the brow until you should have a roughly triangular outline to represent your brow. Fill in this triangle with an eyebrow pencil.
You can also use eyebrow powder in combination with a pencil as shown below.
Step 4
Apply brow powder to brows with an brow brush. Start at the inner corner of your eyebrow and work your way outward. For a more natural effect, keep fresh powder off the brush.Instead, apply the rest of the product to the brush to tint the outside of the brows.
Step 5
Blend the powder along the pencil line to assimilate. Also cover all visible areas of the skin.
Step 6
To highlight the arches, apply a small amount of bronzer to the area under the arches.
Step 7
If you strive for naturalness, this is where your routine ends.
However, if you are looking for an expressive look, you can reshape your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil, especially at the corners and at the base.
Step 8
To remove the tint, use make-up wipes or wash with water and makeup remover / cleanser.

How to remove semi-permanent tint from eyebrows?
While it is usually sufficient to use a damp cotton pad to gently wipe off the color, you can also use a mild shampoo solution in water to cleanse your brows if you find it difficult to remove all of the color.
However, if you find that your eyebrows are too dark for your taste, mix equal parts of baking soda and your regular shampoo in a bowl and rinse with this solution to remove excess color.
You can also use your regular cleanser / toner to lighten the shade.
Tips and Precautions to Follow When Dyeing Eyebrows
- For a more sophisticated look, brush your brows with Mascara after each application of the paste. This prevents clumping and evens out the shade.
- To keep your brows healthy and luscious, rub a few drops of castor oil into them every night before going to bed. Rinse off the next morning with cold water.
- While most paints will last up to 6 weeks, most will last only three to four weeks before another round of tinting is required. This is because while the color wears off over time, the lifespan of eyebrow hair is also roughly 4-6 weeks. As new hair grows to its natural color, consider retouching the roots with the special root correction kits available from several pharmacies for a longer lasting effect.
- Never dye your eyebrows with hair dye . The chemicals used in scalp hair dyes are corrosive and can damage the skin and facial hair. However, beard and mustache dyes can be used by women to color their eyebrows without any problem.
- Avoid contact with eyes as it can cause blindness. But if you accidentally do this, flush your eyes with copious amounts of cold water to wash away the chemicals. See your doctor immediately if there is inflammation or redness.
Cosmetic fixes are a dime a dozen. While some of them are fads that come and go over time, some have truly revolutionized our approach to makeup and beauty.Eyebrow tinting finds its place in this coveted section. An affordable, time-saving option that virtually guarantees a natural flawless look, toning isn’t going anywhere. The only question is, are you still addicted to eyebrow dyeing?

Faq – Graphite
What is graphite?
Graphite is a highly scalable real-time graphics system. As a user, you are writing an application that collects numerical time series data that you want to display as graphs and send it to the Graphite processing backend, carbon, which stores the data in a specialized Graphite database. The data can then be visualized through graphite web interfaces.
Who Should Use Graphite?
Graphite is actually a kind of niche application, in particular, it is intended for processing numerical time series data. For example, Graphite is good for charting stock prices because they are numbers that change over time. However, Graphite is a complex system, and if you only have a few hundred different things that you want to display (stock prices in the S&P 500), then Graphite is likely to be overkill. But if you need to depict a lot of different things (like dozens of performance metrics from thousands of servers) and you don’t necessarily know the names of those things in advance (who wants to support such a huge configuration?), Then Graphite is for you.
How scalable is graphite?
From a CPU perspective, Graphite scales horizontally on both the front and back end, which means you can simply add more machines to the mix to increase throughput. It is also fault tolerant in the sense that losing a server machine will result in a minimum amount of data loss (regardless of what that machine has cached in memory) and will not disrupt the system as long as you have enough resources left to handle the load.
From an I / O point of view, Graphite is very fast at doing many tiny I / O operations on a lot of different files under load, because every single metric sent to Graphite is stored in its own database file, like how many tools (drraw, Cacti, Centreon, etc.)Built on top of RRDs work. In fact, Graphite originally used RRD for storage until fundamental constraints arose that required a new storage engine.
Large capacity (several thousand different metrics are updated every minute) requires a good RAID array to a large extent. The Graphite back end caches incoming data if the disks cannot handle the large number of small writes being performed (each data point is only a few bytes long, but most disks cannot handle more than a few thousand IOPS, even if they are tiny). When this happens, the Graphite database engine, “whisper”, allows Carbon to write multiple data points at once, thereby increasing the overall throughput just by storing redundant data in the in-memory cache until it is written. …
How Real-Time Graphics?
Very. Even under heavy load, where the number of metrics arriving at each time slot is much higher than the rate at which your storage system can perform I / O, and many data points are cached in the storage pipeline (see below).See previous question for explanation. ), Graphite still draws graphs in real time. The trick is that when the Graphite web app receives a graph request, it fetches data from disk at the same time, as well as from the prestore cache (which can be allocated if you multiple back-end servers) and combines the two data sources to generate a real-time graph.
Who already uses graphite?
Graphite was developed internally by Orbitz.com where it is used to visualize a variety of critical data including application metrics, database metrics, sales, and more. At the time of this writing, the Orbitz production system could handle approximately 160,000 different metrics per minute across two Sun niagra-2 servers on a very fast SAN.
What is graphite written on?
Python. The Graphite web app is built on the Django web framework and uses the ExtJS javascript GUI toolbox. The graphs are rendered using the Cairo graphics library. The backend and database are written in pure Python.
Who writes and maintains Graphite?
Graphite was originally developed by Chris Davis at Orbitz.com. Orbitz has long been part of the open source community and has published several other proprietary products. Orbitz is still actively developing Graphite and will continue to provide community improvements.
Under what license is Graphite released?
Apache 2.0 license. See here for details.
Does Graphite use RRDtool?
No, since Graphite was first written in 2006. Graphite has its own dedicated database library called Whper, which is very similar in design to RRD, but has a subtle but fundamentally important difference that Graphite requires. Whisper was created for two reasons. The first reason is that the RRD is designed with the assumption that data will always be inserted into the database on a regular basis, and this assumption leads to undesirable behavior of the RRD when outputting irregular data.Graphite was created to make it easier to visualize various metrics in your application that don’t always occur regularly, such as when an unusual request is processed, latency is measured, and sent to Graphite. Using RRD, the data is placed in a temporary area within the database where it is not available until the current time interval has passed _and_ another value is inserted into the database for the next interval. If this does not happen within the allotted time period, the original data point will be overwritten and lost. Now, for some metrics, the absence of a value can be correctly interpreted as a value of zero, however this is not the case for metrics such as latency, because zero means that the work was done in zero time, which is different from saying that the work was not done. … made. Assuming zero latency also interferes with analysis such as calculating average latency, etc.
The second reason for writing whispers is performance. RRDtool is very fast, in fact much faster than whispering. But the problem with RRD (at the time the whisper was written) was that RRD only allows you to insert one value into the database at a time, while the whisper was written so that multiple data points could be inserted at once by compressing them into a single write operation. The reason this dramatically improves performance under high load is because Graphite works on many files, and when doing such small operations (write a few bytes here, a few there, etc.)The bottleneck is caused by * the number of I / O operations. O Operation * Consider a scenario where Graphite gets 100,000 different metric values every minute, to handle this load, Graphite needs to be able to write that many data points to disk every minute. But let’s say your underlying storage can only handle 20,000 IOPS. With RRD (at that time they wrote in a whisper) there was no chance of keeping up. But with a whisper, we can continue to cache incoming data until we have accumulated, say, 10 minutes of data for a given metric, and then instead of doing 10 I / O to write those 10 data points, a whisper can do it in 1 operation. The reason I keep mentioning “whispering while writing” is because RRD now supports this behavior. However, Graphite will continue to use whisper as long as the first issue exists.
