If you are dyeing gray hair for the first time or decided to change the usual dye, it is advisable to first test it on a separate gray strand. This will help to assess how the pigment interacts with the fragile structure of gray hair and if it does not give any undesirable shade.

Remember that henna, basma and other natural dyes can enter into the most unusual reactions with the chemical components of industrial paints.

It is not so important whether you want to paint with a “natural” paint over a chemical one or vice versa – it is still better to test the paint on some invisible strand of hair first.
