- Light and stiff construction for consistent performance
- Forgiving face shape to aid in possession
- Rounded scoop for confident ground ball retrieval
- Available in black and white color options
Does the StringKing Mark 2D live up to its promises? Based on player feedback and expert analysis, the answer is a resounding yes. The head’s design excels in blocking passes, pushing transition play, and attacking ground balls – all essential skills for a defensive player.
Understanding the Mark 2D’s Design Philosophy
StringKing has put considerable thought into the design of the Mark 2D, focusing on the specific needs of defensive players in women’s lacrosse. The moderate face profile is a standout feature, striking a balance between ball control and maneuverability.
Why is the face profile so important? A moderate profile allows players to pick up ground balls confidently from various angles, a crucial skill in defensive play. Additionally, this design facilitates batting down passes, creating opportunities for transition offense.
The Impact of Material Choice
The Mark 2D’s light and stiff construction is no accident. StringKing has carefully selected materials that provide the optimal balance of weight and rigidity. This combination ensures that players can maintain control during intense gameplay without feeling weighed down.
How does this material choice affect performance? The stiffness of the head allows for more accurate checks and better ball control, while the lightweight nature enables quicker movements and reduces player fatigue over the course of a game.
Optimizing Performance: The Mark 2D’s Mesh System
One of the standout features of the StringKing Mark 2D is its Type 4 Mesh. This advanced mesh system is designed to provide superior ball control and consistency, crucial factors in defensive play.
What makes Type 4 Mesh different from other options? This mesh offers a unique balance of hold and release, allowing players to maintain possession when needed but also make quick, accurate passes to transition into offense.
Stringing Options and Customization
While the Mark 2D comes pre-strung with Type 4 Mesh, it’s worth noting that the head is designed to accommodate various stringing styles. This flexibility allows players to customize their pocket to suit their individual playing style and preferences.
- Multiple top string holes for diverse pocket styles
- Ample sidewall holes for fine-tuning pocket depth and shape
- Compatible with both mesh and traditional stringing methods
Can players easily customize the Mark 2D themselves? Absolutely. The head’s design is stringing-friendly, allowing both novice and experienced players to adjust their pocket as needed.
The Mark 2D in Action: On-Field Performance
Theory and design are important, but how does the StringKing Mark 2D perform on the field? Players and coaches alike have praised the head’s versatility and reliability in game situations.
The rounded scoop, a key feature of the Mark 2D, has proven particularly effective in real-world play. It allows defenders to confidently attack loose ground balls from any angle, a crucial skill in maintaining possession and initiating transitions.
Defensive Capabilities
In terms of pure defensive play, the Mark 2D excels in several areas:
- Checking: The stiff construction allows for precise and powerful checks.
- Interceptions: The moderate face shape aids in snagging passes out of the air.
- Ground Balls: The rounded scoop facilitates quick and easy ground ball pickups.
- Clearing: The light weight and balanced design enable smooth clearing passes.
Is the Mark 2D suitable for all defensive playing styles? While it’s designed to be versatile, it particularly shines in aggressive, transition-oriented defensive schemes.
Durability and Longevity: Investing in the Mark 2D
When investing in lacrosse equipment, durability is a key consideration. The StringKing Mark 2D is built to withstand the rigors of intense gameplay and practice sessions.
The head’s stiff construction not only aids in performance but also contributes to its longevity. Players report that the Mark 2D maintains its shape and stiffness even after extended use, a testament to its quality construction.
Warranty and Customer Support
StringKing stands behind the Mark 2D with a comprehensive warranty and excellent customer support. This commitment to quality and customer satisfaction adds value to the investment in this lacrosse head.
Are there any common issues with the Mark 2D? While the head is generally well-received, some players have noted that the stiffness can take some getting used to, especially for those transitioning from more flexible heads.
Comparing the Mark 2D to Competitors
To truly understand the value of the StringKing Mark 2D, it’s essential to compare it to other defensive heads on the market. How does it stack up against established competitors?
The Mark 2D’s combination of lightweight construction and stiffness sets it apart from many competitors. While some heads may excel in one area or the other, the Mark 2D strikes a balance that many players find ideal.
Price Point and Value
In terms of pricing, the Mark 2D falls into the mid-to-high range for defensive lacrosse heads. However, many players feel that its performance and durability justify the investment.
Is the Mark 2D worth the price? For serious players looking for a high-performance defensive head, the consensus is that the Mark 2D offers excellent value for money.
The Future of Defensive Play: Mark 2D’s Impact on the Game

Choosing the right lacrosse head is a personal decision that depends on various factors, including playing style, position, and level of play. The StringKing Mark 2D offers a compelling package for defensive players, but it’s essential to consider your individual needs.
Who is the ideal player for the Mark 2D? This head is well-suited for aggressive defenders who prioritize ground ball control, quick transitions, and a stiff feel for checking and interceptions.
Factors to Consider

- Budget: Is the Mark 2D’s price point within your equipment budget?

StringKing Legend Senior Overview | Inside Lacrosse
In November, StringKing Lacrosse announced the release of their first generation of intermediate level lacrosse heads. The Legend Senior provides players with an expert level head at a much lower price point. StringKing states the head is designed for 15 and up. This makes the head more accessible to newer players as well as older high school level players just getting into the game but are not yet fully committed to investing in top of the line gear.
The legend Sr. isn’t an entirely new design, but StringKing has been producing lacrosse heads for a few years now and they have a clear aesthetic. They have found a design that works well and is visually appealing. The SK Legend line is a fusion of sleek and simplistic elements that retains many features from their very successful Mark 2 head series.
The face shape and overall design of the Legend Senior is most similar to the Mark 2v. The head has a really nice balanced face shape; it’s not to narrow or wide, so the Legend Sr. should give players a good balance between catching and ball control. StringKing has also retained a similar scoop design with the Legend Senior as it offers an excellent angle of attack with a soft curve on the top lip, making the Legend Sr. an excellent choice for getting ground balls on the run or at awkward angles.
Just like the entire Mark 2 head series, the Legend Sr. provides a great platform when it comes to stringing. It has six top string holes, four bottom string holes, and a whopping 29 sidewall holes. Both experienced and newer stringers should have no trouble achieving their desired pocket in the head. With the top and bottom string holes being slightly enlarged, it also makes it viable choice for those looking to use it with a traditional pocket.
The StringKing Legend Sr. comes in the two standard monochromatic colors: white and black. The Legend Sr. is available now through String King authorized dealers, both in store and online. The unstrung head itself has an MSRP of $70 and a $99 MSRP for the head factory strung with StringKing 3X or 3S.
Overall, I think the Legend Sr. is an excellent offering. It’s currently one of the best bang-for-your-buck options on the market. Just like your typical high-end $90 head the Legend Sr. is light, stiff, and very easy to string. Having that lower price point of $70 makes it an extremely attractive option for those that are new or are on a budget.

How to choose a motorcycle helmet
No helmet is capable of protecting the wearer from all possible impacts at high and low speeds. But, for maximum protection, the helmet must be of a suitable size and the strap must be tightly fastened under the chin. A helmet worn on the head must allow peripheral vision to be seen. If the helmet is too big, it may move on your head while riding. As a result, it can fly off in an accident or interfere with your vision while driving. In the first case, the helmet will not protect you in an accident, which can lead to serious injury or death, in the second case, limitation of vision can lead to an accident.
Only use a helmet that fits snugly on your head and tighten the chin strap tightly
Open the face shield with your hands and put your hands inside the helmet. Check that the helmet is worn correctly. Pull on the chin straps only, not the sheaths. If you pull on the belt sheathing, it can be torn off. If the helmet does not fit snugly, it is too big for you. To securely fasten the buckle restraint system, thread the end of the chin strap only as shown and attach it firmly to your throat. If you have a quick release holding system, see the paragraph above. If the chin strap is loose, the helmet could fly off on impact, leaving the head unprotected and could result in serious injury or death.
HOW TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE HELMET IS FITS FOR YOU SIZE
Measure your head horizontally, approximately 2.5 cm above the brow line. This will be the largest circumference of your head. Choose a helmet that is as large as your head.If the head size is between two adjacent helmet sizes, try the smaller one first.
Try on helmet
Place the helmet in front of you, unfasten all fasteners and stick your head into the helmet. Pull only on the chin straps, not on their covers. If you pull on the covers, they can be torn. If the helmet is too big for you, then it is not your size. If you’ve never worn helmets, you may not want to pull on a helmet that feels too tight. However, even if you find it difficult to put on a helmet, use the smallest helmet that fits over your head.
Check that the belt is the right size for you:
- Make sure the inside of the helmet fits snugly around your head.
- Make sure the forehead rests snugly against the top of your head.
- Make sure the bottom side pads are touching your cheeks.
- Make sure your finger cannot be inserted between the inside of the helmet and your forehead.
- Grasp the helmet while it is on with both hands on both sides.Without moving your head, try moving your hands on the helmet up and down and from side to side. You should feel that the skin on your face and scalp is stretching in the direction you move the helmet. If the helmet turns easily, it’s too big for you. Try a smaller size.
Check the restraint system and proceed as follows
- Tighten the chin strap as tight as you can without hurting yourself. There should be no slack in the strap and it should fit snugly against the chin.
- With the chinstrap tightened, place your hands on the back of the helmet and try to pull the helmet forward.
- Then place your hands on the front of the helmet above your forehead (or on the arch of your chin guard) and try to pull the helmet backwards.
- If the helmet begins to move in any of these directions, do not use the helmet. Either it is too big for you, or the chin strap is not tightened enough.
Correct chin strap tightening is very important.Try sliding it down with your fingertips if it is loose or loose against your chin. You may have misplaced the belt through the buckles. If the chin strap is loose, start all over again, as in this case the helmet can fly off from a sharp blow, and the head will remain completely unprotected. Do not use a helmet that can be removed from your head while the chin strap is fastened as it could fly off in an accident, which could result in death or serious injury.
Buckle: To securely attach the buckled restraint system, thread the end of the chinstrap through the buckle and press it firmly against your throat. Hook the hook of the free end of the chin strap into the buckle after tightening the strap tightly. The only purpose of the hook on the end of the chin strap is to keep the end of the chin strap from bouncing.
Quick Release Retention System: To tighten the belt, push the metal tab firmly into the buckle until you hear a click. Pull the strap securely and thread the end through the ring.To release, press the two latches inward (or slide them down).
HELMET RECOMMENDATIONS
Helmets are designed for one blow. After the helmet has protected you in an accident, you need to put on a new helmet
The helmet is designed to distribute the impact energy over a large area. Even if the helmet looks intact after being hit from the outside, its useful life ends after one impact while riding, for example, in a rollover or in an accident when you hit the ground or another object in the helmet. After impact, the absorbing areas of the helmet are compacted. After that, the helmet cannot absorb the energy of other hits. A helmet may look the same as before, but it will not provide protection in the event of an accident.
Clean properly
Never use salt water, benzene, gasoline, kerosene, glass cleaner or other solvents to clean your helmet. Your helmet can be seriously damaged by these substances, even if it is not visible. A helmet damaged or weakened by a cleaner may not provide protection in an accident, which could result in serious injury or death.Proper helmet cleaning – add 5-6 drops of liquid soap to 1 liter of warm water, moisten a soft cloth in this solution and wipe the helmet. Rinse with a clean, damp cloth.
Do not upgrade your helmet
Very dangerous to drill holes or tackle helmet and / or shock absorbing padding. Upgrading can seriously weaken the helmet. Changing the restraint system weakens it, it can rebound on impact. Removing parts such as mouth guards or rubber face masks can expose sharp edges that could injure you in an accident.Always use LS2 approved replacement parts when replacing face shield, screws and other parts. A weakened helmet does not provide protection.
Handle your helmet correctly
Never ride with a helmet hanging from the helmet holder or hang it from protruding parts of the motorcycle such as mirrors. Do not sit on the helmet or drop it. The inside of the helmet should not be exposed to direct sunlight and high temperatures, i.e., do not place it near batteries or where temperatures exceed 50 ° C (122 F).Try not to spray insect repellent (such as naphthalene) near the helmet. Improper handling can damage the outer part of the helmet and the absorbent padding, reducing the helmet’s ability to protect you in an accident.
Always check the helmet before use
- Check the screws on the face shield and visor and tighten if necessary.
- Check the helmet for cracks. Strong acid (eg from a battery) can damage the base of the face shield. If you find cracks or damage, stop using the helmet immediately.
- Plastic parts can begin to wear out approximately 5 years after production. If you find wear and tear on any part, replace this or your helmet. If parts become loose and / or fall out while driving, your field of vision may be limited, which can lead to an accident, which in turn can lead to serious injury or other unfortunate consequences.
- Check the reliability of the restraint system.
- Make sure the center liner (or sanitary liner) and cheek liners are attached before using the helmet.
Keep Visor in good condition
If the visor is scratched or lacks transparency, replace it with a new one. Limited visibility leads to accidents. Clean the visor with water and liquid soap, rinse with clean water and dry with a dry cloth. Never use benzene, benzine, glass cleaner, or any other solvent to clean your mask.Do not stick stickers or tape on the visor as this weakens the coating. This could damage the visor. Do not ride with a fogged or darkened visor. Limited visibility can lead to an accident, which in turn can lead to serious injury or death.
Do not paint the helmet
We do not recommend repainting the helmet as paint and thinner can damage the helmet materials. A helmet damaged or weakened by paint may not provide head protection in an accident, which could result in serious injury or death. If you would like to paint your helmet, see your LS2 dealer.
Remember: helmets reduce the perception of changes around you and block important sounds
When you are wearing a helmet, especially an integrated one, you are somewhat isolated from what is happening around you. Changes in the weather can take you by surprise: Sudden rain or sudden temperature changes when entering and exiting tunnels or when driving on mountain roads can cause the face shield to fog up and lose visibility.Do not ride with a foggy mask. The helmet also makes it difficult to hear traffic sounds, especially at high speeds. With an integrated helmet, opening and closing the mask dramatically changes how much you hear. For safe riding, remember how your helmet type and your speed alter your perception of road conditions and whether your mask is open.

Uvex helmets: quality protective equipment
Uvex Sports is a German brand that develops and markets protective sports equipment. The company’s products are ski and bicycle helmets and goggles. More than 1000 professional athletes around the world maintain a partnership with the German company.
Uvex helmets – quality assurance
The use of protective equipment ensures your safety. Each helmet of the German brand is thoroughly tested in a special testing center. The manufacturer guarantees the quality and functionality of the products. It meets stringent international safety standards for personal protective equipment.Testing helps develop improved Uvex helmets.
The manufacturer provides a guarantee for all products. Its term is 2 years. If you find any defects, you should contact the supplier with a receipt of purchase and the product itself.
Mandatory rule of use: Uvex bicycle helmet should always be changed after a fall or collision! The force of the impact during the fall is absorbed by the helmet. On the next impact in the same place, the bicycle helmet can no longer perform its 100% protective function. Please note that depending on the force and angle of impact, the helmet may even break. This will help prevent head injury.
Operating instructions
Use multiple helmets whenever possible. It is important that their parameters correspond to the size of your head. Protective equipment must cover it visibly. Fine tuning is possible with the strap and the IAS system.
Make sure the bike helmet sits flat on your head. It should not fit snugly against the back of the head, this will make the forehead unprotected.Do not pull it over your forehead as this can affect your range of vision.
You can check if the Uvex helmet is right for you by shaking your head slightly with a slightly open chin. The position of the equipment must not change. An optimal fit is required for the helmet to perform 100% of its safety function.
How to adjust the size?
Position the clips so the strap does not touch your ears. When adjusting the straps, pull them out on the left and right sides separately to get the correct length. The length of the straps in the closure system should be adjusted so that they both lie under the chin and fit snugly against the head. If the straps are too long, cut off the extra centimeters. Gently heat the ends of the strap with a match to prevent fraying. Please note that belts may vary in length due to individual adjustment. All helmets are manufactured in accordance with the IAS system. It is a sizing chart that can be used to customize your cycling helmet to any head shape.
Free-floating ring system design for optimal fit, ease of use and maximum ventilation. Adjustments are made using the wheel located on the back of the helmet: clockwise to make the helmet tighter, counterclockwise to make it looser.
Terms and conditions of storage
All helmet elements are subject to aging, depending on handling, maintenance and wear, intensity of use and specific operating conditions.
Under optimal storage conditions (low temperature; dry, protected from daylight; no contact with chemicals and mechanical stress) the maximum service life is 8 years after the specified production date. It should not be exceeded even if the product is in good condition.
For safety reasons, the manufacturer recommends that Uvex helmets be replaced 3-5 years after initial use. The term depends on the intensity of operation.

How to choose a trampoline for a summer cottage with a net
Experts of the specialized online store Intexregion will help you understand the types of trampolines, namely, how to choose a trampoline for a summer cottage with a net.A jumping trampoline is a sports equipment, therefore they are made with the expectation of heavy loads, with a margin of safety. Even children’s models are made so sturdy that adults can also have fun on them, if the complexion allows.
Trampoline Safety
Trampoline safety primarily refers to the quality of the materials. In this regard, the methods of connecting structural elements, the availability of various devices for ease of use are also important. So that the child does not fall outside the springy canvas, a protective protective mesh is provided around its circumference or perimeter. To prevent the leg from getting between the springs, they are located outside the mesh, and the entry point to the canvas is closed with a lapel fastened with buttons or Velcro.
Pushing off from the canvas in the process of jumping, a person can rise to a height of about 2 meters, and it is always unsafe to fall from such a height onto a hard surface. Given this circumstance, coaches recommend starting classes with easy exercises in order to get used to the projectile:
- Explore its features
- learn to stay in the middle of the canvas
- feel the resistance of the springs
In the process of subsequent exercises, a few days later the person’s vestibular apparatus improves, as evidenced by his confidence in movements.By acquiring skills, one can learn to dampen the amplitude of oscillations and stop soaring up at any time. At the same time, you need to know that due to the physical properties of stretching springs, the resistance of the canvas is always greater to the edges, and in the center it is minimal due to greater stretching, therefore the jump will be higher if you push off from the center.
In order to avoid injuries, it is recommended to lay mats or special foam mattresses along the edges of the trampoline, especially if the height of the protective railing is lower than the height of the user. And you shouldn’t rely entirely on protection either. Firstly, it interferes with practicing coordination of movements, and secondly, the constant reliance on a protective net causes the fear of practicing on a trampoline without such protection.
What to look for when choosing
- Frame. Any trampoline has a base in the form of supports, which, together with the jumpers, form a frame. It can be round, oval, square, polygonal. The racks, supports and crosspieces of the frame are made of steel, which is typical for all professional equipment. For small children’s models, frames are made of plastic. This material also has requirements for strength, elasticity, resistance to destruction from the influence of temperatures, ultraviolet radiation. Those structures are considered strong if they consist of steel pipes with a diameter of at least 3.8 centimeters with a wall thickness of 2 millimeters or more. In this case, the docking nodes should not be welded, but only overhead, tightened on bolted joints.
- Spring web. Trampoline linens are mostly made of polypropylene, but they can also be made of other polymers or natural materials – leather, plants. The fabric can be woven in one piece or bound. The binding is also a mesh, only in the form of belts, the width of which is greater than the gaps. Bookbinding cloths are much more reliable than solid ones; after getting wet, they dry out faster and restore elasticity. By the way, it is not safe to use a wet trampoline. If the projectile gets wet in the rain, then you must give it time to dry completely. For outdoor trampolines for summer cottages, manufacturers provide film covers on the canvas. In solid canvases, the quality of the stitched seams is important; for a diameter of 2 meters, there should be no more than six.
- Mesh. This is a protective trampoline fence that prevents the jumping person from flying out of the canvas. Confident users find it more convenient to practice without a safety net, they begin exercises from any end of the trampoline and even from a handstand on the edge of the frame. But for young children, the net is a must-have safety feature. There are two types of protective mesh arrangement – internal and external. Large trampolines with a web diameter of 2.5 m or more are produced with an external mesh fence.Internal protection is attached to the upper crossbar of the projectile, and from the bottom end-to-end to the springy canvas. This option is safer, but hinders movement, therefore it is used in all models of children’s trampolines. Here are the typical pros and cons of a jumping apparatus depending on the location of the net:
Trampoline type | Pluses | Cons |
With outside protective mesh | 1.More space for exercise and fun. The usable area is measured not along the radius of the web, but along the radius or perimeter of the fence. 2. The close-located frame racks to the canvas help beginners to get used to the jumping apparatus. They can be put on soft pads, covers, rubber handrails. | 1. Only trained users can make good use of the internal space. 2. Risk for the jumper to fall between the springs. To avoid injury, mats should be covered with springs and around the trampoline. 3. The spring closing mats will pull up and expose the springs. Reliable mountings are required. 4. Since the safety fence is located on the outer contour of the frame, the jumper may fall onto the steel pipes. From history, there are cases of death after blows of vital organs on pipes. 5. Stands are located very close to the spring blade. For entertainment, they are not a particular hindrance, but such a frame design is not suitable for professional activities. You can hit your head, back, limbs in the stand and get a serious bruise. 6. A small trampoline with an outer protective net is less stable and may tip over during high-range jumps or during intense children’s play. |
With internal safety net | 1.Trampolines with an internal mesh fence are more stable. 2. Since the place for exercising is located directly next to the protective net, the user can use it to the full without fear of falling into the spring block or other elements of the frame. 3. The uprights are located at a safe distance from the curtain and the safety net. In addition, they must be fitted with foam rubber covers. 4. Trampolines with an internal mesh fence are cheaper, since the frames of such jumping shells have fewer structural details. | 1. These trampolines have less usable space for practicing or playing. |
Protective elements
Trampoline protection, it is not only a fencing net, but also covers for springs, joints and other components of the frame. Protective elements should not randomly fly off the attachment point during exercise. Reliability of fixation with the frame is provided by loops, adhesive tapes, lacing, tension carabiners and hooks.
Springs
All springs on the projectile form a spring system. They have different diameters and lengths, and some have adjustable tension. With the help of springs, the canvas is held on the frame, and the larger its diameter, the longer the springs. In rectangular or oval trampolines, the springs are shorter on the end sides. Each type of trampoline has a certain number of springs:
- 100 pieces and more are equipment for sports
- from 70 pcs. – large trampolines for adults, they can also perform gymnastic tricks
- 50-70 pcs.- medium trampolines for schoolchildren, also suitable for adults
- up to 50 pcs. – children’s models with a blade diameter up to 1.7 m
We have listed the main components of trampoline structures, but there are also secondary, auxiliary elements with which the trampolines are equipped in the complete set or they must be purchased separately. It is necessary to make a decision about their need to acquire it based on the purpose of the trampoline itself: who and how will be engaged or entertained on it, in what conditions it will be located and operated.Additional items include:
- awning (canopy)
- film covering on canvas
- underlay on the floor or ground (base)
- soft onlays
- Ladder
- handrails, handles, rope holders
- wind protection
When choosing a trampoline according to your intentions, you need to count on how many people at the same time can be on the springy canvas. For increased loads, it will be necessary to equip the projectile with a stronger canvas or reinforce it with additional springs. As for the dimensions: for one child under 10 years old, a trampoline with a size of 1.5 meters in diameter or around the perimeter will be enough, but for an adult a diameter of 2 meters may not be enough. From practice, we can say that for a family of 3 people, a trampoline with a size of a springy canvas in a diameter of 2.2 meters is best suited.
There is more expanse on three-meter trampolines and more, but there are also many problems with such shells. They need special care, cleaning, availability of the necessary space, strengthening of the frame. Trampolines of 4 m and larger have a rather complex design, and in order for them to serve for a long time and reliably, when assembling, you must adhere to the manufacturer’s instructions. When buying, you should always check the presence of all components and fasteners. The range of prices for trampolines is quite extensive, the cost is influenced by:
- frame dimensions
- design features, fasteners
- type, quality of materials
- additional, spare parts
- brand
The cost of the trampoline also depends on the type of attachment of the safety net and its type.
An external fence with non-removable covers is pulled over the racks without fasteners, and the net is not fixed from below, forming gaps. Therefore, inexperienced jumpers often fall through them. However, when developing skills, such a structure is not a hindrance, and even creates some convenience. But they are not suitable for children. If replacement is necessary, this type of fencing is sold with covers, therefore it costs more.
The outer fence with straps or Velcro is also not fixed at the bottom, forming gaps. The pros and cons are the same as for nets with sewn covers, however, such a fence is cheaper if purchased separately from the projectile.
An external fence with a lower fastening rubber band is put on the trampoline frame and forms an active space, completely protected from falling off the canvas. These trampolines are best for children. However, elastic bands do not firmly hold the protective mesh under heavy loads, therefore they are not used for professional jumping.
Operating tips
When choosing a trampoline, one should pay attention to the size of the gaps both in the protective net and in the woven fabric. They should be no more than 3 cm if the trampoline is bought for children. Mesh fences with large openings have their advantages, for example, an object can be transferred through the mesh.
After exercising or playing, the trampoline frame is recommended to be checked for reliability of fastenings, and, if necessary, to tighten the bolted connections. There are no rubbing parts in the jumping apparatus for lubrication, but graphite grease is recommended for fasteners and springs.
For the production of outdoor trampolines, only waterproof materials and coatings are used, but a wet product must not be used. Wet surfaces are slippery, it is unlikely that it will be possible to train effectively, but a wet trampoline is not an obstacle for children’s games. But still, if possible, it is better to give the trampoline time to dry completely. In the cold season, it is better to move it to a heated room, and if there is none at the dacha, then the shell must be disassembled, folded, and then left for seasonal storage at a temperature not lower than + 10 ° C.
We hope our recommendations will help you figure out how to choose a trampoline with a net, how to use this jumping sports equipment correctly. We wish you great achievements in sports, as well as a fun, rewarding pastime with your family or friends.
90,000 home care rules
There is no common cause of increased hair loss, as well as one best remedy that would help strengthen hair for everyone, without exception.Fortunately, scientists now know almost everything about this problem.
There are from 50 thousand to 160 thousand hairs on a person’s head at the same time, and it is quite normal to lose up to 10% of their total number daily – these are hair shafts in the telogen stage, which have already become obsolete. What or who is to blame for severe hair loss, if during the day there are clearly more than 50-160 hairs left on the comb and in the drain of the bathroom?
- Hormones . An increase in the level of androgens leads to alopecia – it is they who are responsible for male pattern baldness, regardless of gender.
- Pregnancy, start or end of breastfeeding . These triggers of hormonal surges have nothing to do with alopecia, so don’t worry – the loss will stop very soon.
- Lack of vitamins and minerals . Doctors note that the formation of a viable hair follicle is impossible if the body does not receive enough vitamins A, C, D, E and group B, iron, calcium, potassium, zinc, chromium and selenium.
- Certain diseases of internal organs .Increased hair loss is often the symptom of anemia and thyroid problems.
- Diseases of the scalp . Seborrhea and allergies impair the natural exfoliation of dead skin cells and negatively affect the functioning of the sebaceous glands, which leads to weakening of the hair roots.
- Taking medications . The weakening of hair follicles is a common side effect from taking a number of medications, and the loss begins only 2-3 months after the start of the course of drug treatment.
- Stress . When the body is forced to exist in constant physical or psycho-emotional stress, hair, nails and skin receive the necessary nutrients on a residual basis, which inevitably affects their condition and appearance. In addition, stress is accompanied by spasms of the muscles of the head, which also impairs the nutrition of the follicles.
One of these points is enough for the roots to weaken, the follicles go into hibernation, and the hair along the length has lost its shine, elasticity and begins to fall out.
Examine one of the hairs left on the comb. If its upper part does not have any thickening, then, most likely, it did not fall out, but broke off at the root due to improper care or frequent heat-laying. White microscopic thickening – a bulb – a signal that you have hair in the telogen phase in your hands.
It is worth worrying only if the number of hairs that have fallen out from the bulb increases significantly, and the drain in the bathroom becomes clogged with unpleasant constancy. Then it’s time to visit a doctor, get tested and, of course, read our article on what to do to strengthen weakened hair and its roots.
If you are absolutely all right with hormones and health, nutrition is full, no more stress than any modern woman, and hair still falls out a lot, it’s time to reconsider daily care. Perhaps you are doing something wrong.
First, let’s choose a suitable comb. A comb is suitable for thin, weak hair, a massage brush for long hair, and a flat comb with rare teeth for curls and wavy strands. And let this personal hygiene item be made of natural materials or silicone, not metal or plastic.
Weak hair does not tolerate rough brushing, so detangle the ends first and then tackle the length. The process should take place smoothly, pulling and pulling the strands is not worth it in any case.
And one more small, but very important piece of advice from hairdressing experts and trichologists to strengthen hair: it is undesirable to comb wet or wet hair.
It turns out that seemingly innocent actions seriously aggravate the loss. Check yourself.
– Do you gently massage your hair when you apply shampoo or conditioner?
– Do you remember that you should not rub your hair vigorously with a towel, but only blot it?
– Prefer warm water over hot?
If you answered yes to all the questions – great! We pass to the next stage of leaving.
Try to dry your hair naturally or with a hair dryer on a medium or cool temperature setting, without bringing the nozzle of the device closer to the scalp. For the period of increased hair loss, stylists recommend abandoning thermal devices (ironing, curling irons, electric curlers) and tight styling.
It is a shame to walk with regrown roots or faded hair color, even if the problem of hair loss is in the first place for you. The good news is that ammonia-free paints can be used regularly even in such a situation. Toning dyes such as Garnier Color & Shine or Garnier Olia are suitable for sensitive scalp and do not aggravate hair loss.
But just do an allergy test, just to be sure. To do this, apply a little dye to the skin behind the ear the day before dyeing. No unpleasant reactions? So it’s time to refresh your favorite shade of hair!
We hear “cosmetics” – and immediately think that we are talking about an external effect that will not affect the hair follicles in any way. In fact, everything is much more interesting: shampoos and masks can make strands heavier, thereby increasing hair loss, and some products are simply not suitable for your skin.
It is important to choose light products for the care and strengthening of hair with substances useful for the scalp and hair roots: castor oil, rosemary oil, herbal extracts, non-aggressive acids and – in the most severe cases – aminexil and its derivatives.Avoid homemade masks with mustard, hot peppers, and other foods – they will hurt your scalp more than help.
How and how to strengthen the hair from the inside and outside, from roots to ends – and at home? It is enough to regularly care for your hair with the help of products that are designed specifically for the case of intense hair loss.
It is generally accepted that during the period of accelerated evacuation of hair from the head, it makes sense to use only sulfate-free shampoos. In fact, this rule is relevant only for allergic reactions to sulfates. If this is not about you, choose shampoos on any cleansing base – but certainly with a strengthening function.
Bed | Lida Museum
The bed is an amazing invention!
In different periods, the materials from which a person “made” a sleeping place for themselves changed, but without exception, all types of sleeping places are used today! Let’s remember together: hammocks, trestle beds, wooden canopy beds and modest, hand-forged and simple metal structures. Our song today … about the bed)))
Bunks are metal folding beds with armored or spring nets, which were mass-produced during the Soviet era. Beds were furnished in hospitals, hostels, barracks, sometimes pioneer camps and even rest homes. In the absence of other furniture, beds were also purchased for home use. Huge, high, heavy iron bunks. They were always cleaned in the apartment with valances (these are such handmade lace on the bottom) and a bunch of pillows, which were folded in a pile, and on top they put a pillow on an edge or on a corner, and covered with a lace or tulle cape.
Mattress springs are located along the frame and are attached in the longitudinal direction as follows: “in the heads” – to one traverse, and “in the legs” – to two, twenty centimeters apart from each other. Because of this leg gap, some of the mattress’s length is wasted.
This is a design flaw, and an operational one, in that the springs are stretched and the mesh sags. And if it is very comfortable to sleep on a new bed, then on an old one it is uncomfortable and harmful.Blood circulation in a bent position of the body is impaired. To somehow compensate for the sagging of the mesh, you have to put a thick cotton mattress on the bed, but this does not help much. It is necessary to periodically tighten the springs, which is quite troublesome.
The armor mesh is a great invention of the 19th century. By the middle of the 20th century, in almost all houses, catastrophically harmful nets appeared in almost all houses, which had the ability to stretch and creak, leaving no chances for either the personal life of their owners or the health of their spine. In practice, the armor mesh is strictly prohibited for use at the end of the 20th century. Why do you think? Rachiocampsis. Such a system of sagging the body simply ruins health. And if you try to sell an armored mesh bed somewhere in the world, it will not pass medical parameters. But it was widely popular. There was a need for a cheap, standard bed, and spring netting became easy to make. “Comfortable width” – a certain number of human bodies))) So, 90 cm. The next size is 120 cm.
A separate word about bumps on the bed. A sort of removable parts of various sizes and configurations, they were invented in order to decorate the backs of iron beds. How much joy they brought! Joy when they could be unscrewed on the sly and then exchanged for something worthwhile. They cost a penny lump. Therefore, we were not very worried. We received the full reprimand and abuse from our parents … We bragged about them to each other, changed. Brilliance, color and size were prized.
For those who do not know what I mean, a selection of “bumpy illustrations.”
But the time has come when beds with armor mesh gradually migrated from apartments to landfills. Generations of pioneers have fulfilled their scrap collection plan.
The iron bed with an armored mesh is known to many of us from our childhood. About 30 years ago, such a bed could be found in almost every home.
These were double, one-and-a-half or single beds. They stood both in the children’s room and in the parents’ bedroom.
The well-known children’s prank of those who were born in the 60s was jumping on this very bed, and even a competition: who would jump so that a pile of pillows would immediately fall to the floor! For the sake of such a prank, we were ready to endure then the abuse of our mothers and grandmothers, who laid out this pile of pillows with such love)))
But since then, furniture production technologies have become more complex and beds with a shell mesh have practically gone out of use, they do not enjoy much success with the buyer. But, despite this, they can still be found in establishments such as:
- military units;
- sometimes hospitals;
- hostels, etc.
90,029 summer camps;
90,029 boarding schools;
I found a message on the world wide web, in which we are assured to this day …
“The advantages of armored beds”
- Strength. Such a bed can withstand heavy loads, which is important where sleeping places are used constantly, for example, in hospitals, dormitories, barracks, etc.
- Profitability. As already mentioned, the price for a bed with a shell mesh is quite affordable.
- An impressive service life of at least fifteen years. This means that when buying armor beds in any institution, the need to buy new beds every year or every five years is eliminated.
- Hygiene. Metal beds exclude the appearance of insects, which are often found in wooden beds. In addition, they do not accumulate dust as quickly. As for cleaning, they are fairly easy to clean and clean with the most primitive detergents.
- Reliability. Metal beds are among the most durable and reliable, which practically excludes the possibility of breakage.
- And not a word about harm to health !!!
Oddly enough, but modern designers of furniture production remember about the “iron bed”!
Having reviewed the proposals of producers even in our country, I see a “song in the same bed” in a new way:
From the price list of enterprise N … Metal beds are reliable and durable.Metal furniture serves for many years without deterioration in performance. The metal bed is covered with a protective polymer paint, which ensures the preservation of the aesthetic appearance of the product. The customer can choose himself according to the international layout PAl, while the cost of the bed will not change. You do not need to be a specialist to assemble the beds, they are easily assembled without the use of additional tools. Single metal beds are intended for household and public premises. It is used to complete various areas: hostels, sanatoriums, rest homes, health resorts, hospitals, boarding schools, military barracks, etc. There are 4 types of frame filling: “rail”, mesh: “square link”, “welded”, “zig-zag “. The size of the berth is 840 x 1900 mm. In addition, the metal structure is absolutely fireproof, not subject to rotting, drying out, fungi and does not contribute to the multiplication of bacteria or microbes … “
However, they have not disappeared. As they say, the new is the well-forgotten old! The old “bunks” (especially striking specimens) have visited restorers today and again in the apartments of connoisseurs of individual design styles! Look closely, it’s she … with bumps, it stands as if nothing had happened in the interior)))
“Killed copies” our practical people did not give to the pioneers, but adapted them on the street)))
Everyone still has a chance to sleep on such a bed sometime.Personally, I happened to sleep on such a bed, i.e. tormented in a provincial hotel in 2015 …
And you also have a chance to see children and adults “beds” at our exhibition “Khrushchev of the 60s”.
I found a children’s iron bed in the attic of my house; the children of the previous owners probably slept on it. She was able to complete it completely, even a blanket with elephants … girly)))
But a curiosity came out with an adult bed … An announcement in a local newspaper … “The museum will accept an iron bed as a gift …” wants to part with this sleeping place. As a result, the bed from his summer cottage “came to the museum”, but my mother was angry for a long time … We carefully selected the outfit for the long-awaited bed, a mattress, a blanket and bedding from the 60s, and a festive lace bedspread and cape for pillows.
But soon I had to write a warning sign. both old and young wanted to “flop” and swing on the bed with a panzer net and again flew to the floor of the pillow …
Everything repeats)))

Set for academic drawing | Block O. Rubtsova
Required student supplies.
Academic drawing is a compulsory academic discipline of any school, college or university that provides an art profession.
Drawing is the basis of painting and the support of the composition. This is the mathematics of realistic shapes. This is the intellectual substantiation of an optical illusion, because an artist is a magician, to some extent, a deceiver who depicts a three-dimensional picture of the world on a flat sheet of paper.
Like nothing else, the drawing has a canonical basis. It is imperative to observe proportions, modeling space with the help of linear, and then air, perspective, observation, and sometimes, almost calculation, a cut-off nuance.
In the tutorial drawing, the main tool is a simple pencil. For the convenience of working in the light and in the shadows, as well as with the texture of the object, pencil leads have different hardness.
Hard pencils (2H, H) are good for working in light, medium-soft pencils (F, HB, B) are good for shading and medium tones, while shadows are usually made with a softer pencil (2B, 3B, 4B). Even softer pencils are used in sketching works, as well as in sketching (LINK to article on sketches).
Since the traditional method of shading is shading, the pencil must be well sharpened and it is important to maintain its sharpness with a utility knife.
Academic drawing is also called “educational”. This means that you will not only have to hatch a lot, but also fix large pieces of the wrong tone, as well as work in small details, lightening and compacting them.
For educational work, it is convenient to use two erasers. The first will serve to erase large planes, the second – for corrections and clarifications. One eraser is soft and is actively abraded during work, minimally traumatizing the paper, the second is harder, rubber, it is cut diagonally and used, along with a pencil, for drawing.
The paper in the academic drawing is fixed on a board or tablet with buttons or glue, sometimes a stapler or adhesive tape is used. It is very convenient when the work does not slip, but is firmly fastened, stretched, on the tablet. To do this, it is soaked and fixed along the lateral parts of the tablet.
The paper itself is recommended for drawing.
For sketchy layouts and sketches, a pocket-sized notebook is very convenient, which is always with the artist. The paper in it should not be too smooth or thick. Smooth is more convenient for working in black and white graphics with a pen and a multi-liner, and dense is good for long-term sketching.
Composition of the set for academic drawing.
Our art school has clear requirements for materials, so I used to give each of my students a list of supplies that they bought themselves from an art store. Now in the store “Red Pencil” on Taganka (Bolshie Kamenshchiki St., 4) you can buy all the recommended materials in the set, and when you sign up for our school, you get a 5% discount. How to get it, ask when signing up for “Painting and Drawing Classes” by Olga Rubtsova (hudojka.com).
The beginner’s kit includes:
1. Artistic tablet (hardboard or plywood), 30 * 40 cm (see note below)
2. A set of black lead pencils Faber-Castell (12 pieces)
3. Stationery knife (small)
4. Eraser MILAN
5. Eraser KOH-I-NOOR (with elephant)
6. Push pins
7. A notebook for sketches and homework.

NOTE: Paper sold separately.
If a set is required for Olga Rubtsova’s school, then you should buy GOZNAK drawing paper in sheets of A1 format (enough for 2 figures) or A2 (one figure) to stretch it onto the tablet.
If the kit is purchased for independent use, please check with your instructor for paper size requirements!
P.S. Three secrets.
The first thing my students do when they start finishing work on an academic drawing (after they have practiced shading and find a successful composition) is they pull on the tablet.
Since we are starting to work on the minimal educational format, A3 (30 * 40cm), and we are working in an open-air position, we do not use a board on an easel, but a stretched tablet with an emphasis on our knees. So the paper does not resist, and drawing is easier and more maneuverable. Of course, in order to see unsuccessful places, students put their work aside by 2-3 meters, and, having analyzed, continue their work. Drawing on a larger format (A2, A1) would require working at the easel while standing, but I would still recommend stretching the tablet, this significantly improves the quality of the work.
How do I stretch my tablet?
1. Place a sheet of paper larger than the flatbed on a clean, horizontal table surface.
2. Place the tablet on top with the working side down. Leave room at the edges to fold the paper. Cut the paper in a flat pattern with a clerical knife and remove the scraps.
3. Take a container of water and a soft sponge. Moisten a sponge and lightly moisten the paper liberally from the center of the sheet outward, as shown by the arrows in the illustration.Flip the reamer and repeat the operation on the other side.
4. on top of wet paper (it will become uneven, wavy and bubble), lay the tablet with the working side down, press it against the paper and fix the edges of the reamer on the side edges of the tablet with glue (PVA, paste), a stapler or buttons.
5. Turn the tablet over and let it dry.
____________
Attention! The working side of the paper should not be rubbed with your fingers and a sponge, be careful, otherwise the drawing will have unpleasant pellets after drying.
