Who are the talented players on the South Jersey Select Lacrosse 2023 women’s roster. What makes each athlete unique and valuable to the team. How does the roster showcase the diversity of skills and positions in lacrosse.
The Powerhouse Lineup: South Jersey Select’s 2023 Women’s Roster
South Jersey Select Lacrosse has assembled a formidable team for the 2023 season, boasting a roster of 17 talented young women. Each player brings a unique set of skills, experiences, and attributes to the team, creating a well-rounded and competitive squad. Let’s delve into the details of this impressive lineup and explore what makes each athlete stand out.
Midfield Maestros: The Engine of the Team
The midfield position is crucial in lacrosse, requiring players to excel in both offensive and defensive roles. South Jersey Select has three standout midfielders on their roster:
- Abby Richards: A 5’7″ dual-sport athlete with a high sports IQ and an unselfish playing style.
- Delaney Jackson: Standing at 5’8″, she’s a natural leader with exceptional draw control skills.
- Isabella Leese: A versatile player who can also fill in as a defender, known for her discipline and aggression.
These midfielders bring a combination of athleticism, game intelligence, and versatility to the team. Their ability to transition quickly between offense and defense will be crucial in maintaining control of the game’s tempo.
Defensive Dynamos: The Backbone of South Jersey Select
A strong defense is the foundation of any successful lacrosse team. South Jersey Select boasts four dedicated defenders:
- Aislinn Roberts: A 5’3″ leader with a strong lacrosse IQ and determination.
- Blair Lanzidelle: At 5’7″, she’s a coachable and vocal multi-sport athlete.
- Ciara Smith: A quick and gritty 5’4″ player who excels in ground balls and re-defending.
- Emma Holmgren: A 5’9″ three-sport athlete with championship experience.
This defensive unit combines speed, agility, and tactical awareness to shut down opposing attacks. Their communication skills and teamwork will be essential in organizing the team’s defensive structure.
Attacking Arsenal: The Offensive Firepower
South Jersey Select’s offensive lineup is packed with skill and creativity. The team features six dedicated attackers:
- Alexis Lowry: A versatile 5’4″ player who uses speed and field awareness to create plays.
- Ava Johnson: Standing at 5’9″, she’s a competitive and quick learner.
- Dana DeSiato: A 5’2″ attacker bringing unique skills to the offensive lineup.
- Emma Bunting: A coachable 5’8″ left-handed attacker with a strong lacrosse IQ.
- Eva Blanco: At 5’0″, she’s a quick and competitive multi-sport athlete.
- Lily Bunting: A versatile 5’7″ player who can also contribute in midfield and draw control.
This diverse group of attackers provides the team with a range of offensive options. Their combination of speed, skill, and tactical awareness will keep opposing defenses on their toes.
Guardians of the Goal: The Last Line of Defense
South Jersey Select’s roster includes three talented goalkeepers:
- Kailyn Vautour: A 5’8″ motivated learner with a positive mindset and team-first mentality.
- Kiley Miller: Standing at 5’5″, she’s a hard-working game-changer with fast hands and feet.
- Kylie Durboraw: A 5’7″ dedicated goalie bringing depth to the position.
These goalkeepers provide the team with solid options between the posts. Their reflexes, positioning, and ability to read the game will be crucial in preventing opposing teams from scoring.
Multi-Sport Athletes: The Competitive Edge
One notable aspect of the South Jersey Select roster is the prevalence of multi-sport athletes. Many players on the team compete in other sports such as basketball, field hockey, and track. This diverse athletic background brings several benefits to the lacrosse field:
- Enhanced physical conditioning
- Improved overall athleticism
- Developed competitive mindset
- Transferable skills from other sports
- Reduced risk of burnout
The experience gained from participating in multiple sports contributes to these athletes’ well-rounded skill sets and mental toughness, giving South Jersey Select a competitive edge.
How does multi-sport participation benefit lacrosse players?
Multi-sport athletes often develop a broader range of physical skills, improved hand-eye coordination, and better overall body awareness. These attributes translate well to lacrosse, a sport that requires a combination of speed, agility, and precision. Additionally, exposure to different team dynamics and coaching styles can enhance an athlete’s adaptability and coachability on the lacrosse field.
Academic Excellence: Balancing Sports and Studies
The South Jersey Select roster not only showcases athletic talent but also academic prowess. Several players are noted for their academic achievements, including:
- Membership in the National Honor Society
- Strong academic performance alongside athletic commitments
- Dedication to being well-rounded student-athletes
This commitment to academic excellence demonstrates the players’ ability to manage their time effectively and maintain focus both on and off the field. It also speaks to their potential for success at the collegiate level, where balancing academics and athletics is crucial.
Why is academic performance important for lacrosse players?
Strong academic performance is vital for lacrosse players, especially those aspiring to play at the collegiate level. Many colleges and universities have strict academic requirements for student-athletes, and maintaining good grades can open up more opportunities for scholarships and admissions. Moreover, the discipline and time management skills required to excel academically often translate to improved performance on the lacrosse field.
Leadership and Teamwork: The Glue That Binds
Throughout the roster, there’s a strong emphasis on leadership qualities and teamwork. Many players are described as:
- Natural leaders
- Vocal communicators
- Team-first mentality
- Unselfish players
- Supportive teammates
These attributes are crucial for building a cohesive and successful team. The presence of multiple players with leadership qualities suggests that South Jersey Select will have strong on-field communication and a positive team culture.
How do leadership skills impact team performance in lacrosse?
Strong leadership on a lacrosse team can significantly impact performance. Leaders help maintain team morale, provide direction during challenging moments, and set the standard for work ethic and dedication. On the field, vocal leaders can coordinate defensive and offensive strategies, making real-time adjustments that can be the difference between winning and losing. Off the field, team leaders often play a crucial role in team bonding and maintaining a positive team culture.
Coachability and Work Ethic: The Foundation for Growth
A recurring theme among the South Jersey Select players is their coachability and strong work ethic. Many athletes are described as:
- Highly coachable
- Hard-working
- Determined
- Always striving to improve
- Disciplined
These qualities are essential for individual and team development. Players who are open to coaching and willing to put in the extra effort are more likely to reach their full potential and contribute to the team’s success.
Why is coachability important in lacrosse?
Coachability is a crucial attribute in lacrosse because the sport requires a high level of tactical understanding and teamwork. Players who are receptive to feedback and willing to learn can quickly adapt to new strategies, improve their skills, and contribute more effectively to the team. Coachable athletes are often more versatile, able to fill different roles as needed, and can help elevate the performance of their teammates.
The South Jersey Select women’s lacrosse team for 2023 presents a formidable roster of talented, dedicated, and well-rounded athletes. With a mix of skilled position players, multi-sport athletes, and academically strong individuals, this team is poised for success both on and off the field. The emphasis on leadership, teamwork, and coachability suggests a positive team culture that will be crucial in facing the challenges of the upcoming season. As these young women continue to develop their skills and work together, they have the potential to make a significant impact in their league and beyond.

Playing lacrosse has always been a sort of getaway for me. Being a teenager is tough and it comes with many responsibilities such as maintaining good grades, a social life, and other personal things that come along the way. But, stepping onto the lacrosse field makes all of that stress fade away. I forget that anything else matters in that span of just a two hour practice or a long day of back to back games. Growing up, I had a passion for any sport that was thrown my way, I never backed down from a challenge. I grew up playing outside with my older neighbors that were all boys. We would always find some sort of competitive game to play whether it was kickball, basketball, four square, you name it, and we would be out there every single day till the sun went down. It taught me so much as a kid, to never let anyone push you around, and always give your all at anything you are doing no matter who you are competing against. Lacrosse has that competitive aspect that makes me want to never put down the stick and seeing other players that might have more skill, just pushes me to improve myself. Therefore, playing lacrosse at the collegiate level is a challenge that I am more than ready to take on.

How to choose the fabric for a men’s T-shirt?
What makes a jersey T-shirt for men?
For many people
it will not be easy to answer this question – they would say that knitwear is
its composition should be 100% cotton and medium density. How about pure cotton? And why?
Like you already
realized for yourself, it can be difficult to find such a fabric in your local
fabric store! And yet you can sew a men’s T-shirt yourself.
Let me show you this by showing you some famous brands
T-shirts purchased from a well-known online store as an example, starting
from pure cotton to interlock mixed or full
synthetic!
Hugo Boss long sleeve T-shirt, composition: 95% cotton, 5% elastane
Lapasa short sleeve T-shirt, composition: 92% cotton, 5% spandex
New Look T-shirt, composition: 88% cotton, 12% viscose
As you can see, most of these shirts
have medium-density fabrics with a small amount of decor and
minimal stretch. It is interesting to note that only
a shirt containing spandex content is sewn much tighter,
than other shirts. As the content of spandex becomes
more common element in knitwear, you need to know that men’s
T-shirts are still made from fabrics with the addition of spandex. Apart from
fabric content, it is important to note the knitting method. Interlock is stiffer and has
less decor than regular knitwear. And if you’re in doubt about suitability
fabrics for menswear (especially if you choose a fabric with prints or
ornaments), you need to be especially careful when using exactly
interlock than regular knitwear.
Check the closet!
Yes
that we have now determined that there is a surprisingly large
variety of acceptable fabric types, we must decide on
preferences of the final owner of the future T-shirt! Simplest
the way to do this is to open his wardrobe and look at
t-shirts already available. Are they made mainly of jersey medium
density? What do the labels say about the composition of the fabric? There are many
artistic unusual textures and graphics? There are a variety of styles, or
Does he prefer any one style?

From time immemorial, any clothing, in addition to its functional features – convenience or ergonomics, good tailoring and quality, is also purely aesthetic in nature, helping a person to reveal all or only part of the essence of personality. But this property, one way or another, is mandatory – no matter what person puts on the thing, the “trace” in public opinion about this event will remain for a long time. Therefore, today everyone tries to dress according to their own image – whether it is thoughtfulness of nuances or originality and some kind of creativity, emphasizing or reducing the level of formality in communication. Each detail speaks for itself, and serves as a certain vector for the interlocutor, who, based on the received “information”, builds the tone and intonation of the conversation. What can I say – in the modern world, even one wearing a watch on the arm is explained not only by careful monitoring of one’s time, but also by the “integrity” and “completeness” of the image created by a person for himself. But these two characteristics already give some idea of the personality, which is important. But eternal control of your style is essentially impossible, and the constant formal tone of clothing will soon drive your friends and loved ones crazy, as they will not feel relaxed and “brisk” when communicating with you. By the way, for home conditions and trips to nature, there is a humorous and cool T-shirt that will relax the society with a smile and a perky laugh over the picture drawn on the T-shirt.
For many years, T-shirts and T-shirts, as an element of style and image, were not considered significant – designers and couturiers of fashion houses did not pay attention to them, making them monotonous and monotonous, more suitable for replacing pajamas in the summer or for sports.
But entrepreneurs and businessmen, along with the development of technological progress, sensed a real vein in this “wasteland of fantasy”, and with the advent of silk-screen printing, a whole segment of the market, as a result of which the world saw cool, saturated with colors and humor T-shirts, the best examples of which can be seen in the online store of T-shirts – VseFootbolki.ru. It should, however, be noted that for the most part, such T-shirts are considered the lot of the younger generation, since older people from T-shirts require, first of all, wise restraint and moderation, so men often look at T-shirts with abstract patterns or technique. By the way, of course, the inner world and its reflection in clothes is a personal matter for everyone, but think for yourself – who needs rigor and restraint if you are at home, or, say, in a circle of friends in nature? More fun and joy – give yourself and others smiles from ear to ear, because the charge of optimism in times of crisis will allow you to take the necessary step towards achieving your goals! Create an atmosphere in which your mood will not be saddened by any events, but on the contrary, rejoice and strive to improve your personal and social life. It is no less important to surprise your friends – instead of a formidable jacket with a tie, one day you can wear a T-shirt with a liberated inscription. A storm of discussions and additional emotions among colleagues and friends are guaranteed. Well, if you don’t need it either – the range of T-shirts is always extensive, take a look at least on the main page of the online store http://www.vsefootbolki.ru – there you will see at least 50 T-shirts with different designs, among which you can find T-shirts with logos companies or firms. Just show your interest in any enterprise, and your colleagues or friends will already have an additional reason to talk and communicate.
A cool T-shirt or T-shirt today is a kind of “tribune”, “stage” from which a person has the opportunity, although somewhat unobtrusively and undemandingly, but in a certain way to tell about himself, about the world around him. Given that visual information is absorbed very quickly, this is the best choice for people who value their own individuality. “Say” through a T-shirt to an interlocutor that it is difficult to convince you or change the vector of your opinion – look at something like a T-shirt http://vse-footbolki.ru/product/1465, and everything will immediately become clearer to everyone. Of course, you can also order an individual T-shirt, which will be full of your photo – this is just a matter of taste. The main thing is not to overdo it and approach the implementation of this task based on your own style, needs and sense of humor. Do not worry that they will not understand you – today this concept is no longer in demand, and over time, each person will find a cool T-shirt that suits him.
