Barracks will re-open at 1700 Saturday – one day prior to the required return date for all breaks for those who must arrive early.

HOLIDAY BUS TRANSPORTATION TO AIRPORTS

King’s Highway Charters & Tours will provide holiday airport transportation for Winter and Spring break.

During the holiday breaks cadets are not permitted to remain in the barracks since there are no services (barracks supervision, medical support, or food services). To purchase a bus ticket or for more information, please contact King’s Highway Charters & Tours at (806) 863-3867 or https://travelkingshighway.com/payments/  Please note NMMI does not manage holiday transportation. The bus companies are not responsible for delayed or cancelled flights and are not obligated to hold bus departures from the airport. We always recommend that cadets arrive at the airport well before bus departure times for return to Roswell. NMMI is not responsible for airline requirements for traveling minors – all paperwork should be completed in advance.

• New Mexico Military Institute provides a shuttle to Roswell airport with departures from campus on the same days and times for cadets departing from campus to Albuquerque. However, we do not provide a shuttle for returning cadets after breaks from Roswell airport due to limited resources and multiple arrivals. All buses depart from Bates Dining Facility and arrive at the airport departure areas.   There are no scheduled stops for the bus or shuttle to Roswell or Albuquerque airports.

Unfortunately, Bataan Military Academy folded in 2016 because of financial concerns.

It was a tuition-free coed military school in New Mexico prior to its demise.

The military school was available to high school students and featured its own Navy Junior Reserve Officer Corps (JROTC).

Students that are looking for a substitute in the area should consider Menaul School or New Mexico Military Institute.

Additionally, there are other schools in the state that are not designated prep schools yet support local JROTC units.

New Mexico military school imposes quarantine as cases climb

ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) — A military junior college in New Mexico is under quarantine after more than 60 cadets and employees tested positive for the coronavirus and were isolating, school officials said.

The quarantine at the New Mexico Military Institute is expected to last until Oct. 29. Parents will be allowed to visit only in special situations or emergencies, and officials said all campus facilities are closed to the public for five weeks.

The closure comes as the state struggles with a surge in COVID-19 cases. Wednesday marked another record day for daily confirmed infections, with 827, and state health officials reported an additional 669 cases Thursday. That brings the statewide total to nearly 39,380 since the pandemic began.

Overall, the number of infections is thought to be far higher because many people have not been tested, and studies suggest people can be infected with the virus without feeling sick.

With high spread and positivity rates, Human Services Secretary David Scrase said at a briefing Thursday that the trend is expected to continue for the next two to three weeks and that more people will likely be hospitalized. The recent surge has resulted in a nearly 150% increase in hospitalizations since Oct. 1.

“We’re getting back to a place that we haven’t been to since late April, and that was not a good place to be back then,” he said, adding that increased contact between people has been fueling the spike. “We have to fight the virus so stay at home. Seriously, stay at home.”

In Albuquerque, city officials will be conducting an enforcement blitz to ensure residents adhere to the state public health order, which mandates mask wearing and restricts gatherings of more than five people.

At the military school, officials have been updating the status of its COVID-19 cases on a dashboard, which showed Wednesday that two employees and 61 cadets, including 53 still residing on the campus, were considered to have active cases. Some cadets were allowed to quarantine off-post.

Eight employees and 84 cadets have tested positive for COVID-19 since the fall semester began in July, officials said, adding most have not had symptoms.

The quarantine announcement came after all employees and cadets were tested following the discovery of two cadets who tested positive off campus and did not quarantine, the Roswell Daily Record reported.

“Please know that this quarantine is to the benefit of all cadets, staff and faculty at NMMI,” said Maj. Gen. Jerry Grizzle, the school’s president. “We want to end the semester strong — and in person. It is our strong desire to have face-to-face instruction again next semester, and, with the cooperation of the Corps, our families and everyone at NMMI, we trust that this can happen.”

TriCore Reference Laboratories, one of New Mexico’s main diagnostic labs, has on a small scale started testing a number of samples together to boost capacity, called pool-testing. If the pool is negative, then all the samples are considered negative. If the pool comes up positive, then tests are done on each sample to determine which one was positive.

Officials said the method is most effective when the positivity rate is low. New Mexico’s rate has been increasing along with the surge in cases.

New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) often brags about its famous alumni such as Conrad Hilton, founder of the Hilton Hotel chain; Sam Donaldson, ABC newsman; Samuel Marmaduke, founder of Hastings; Peter Hurd, American artist; Tony Lama, Jr., founder of Tony Lama Boots; Roger Staubach, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback; Owen Wilson, popular young actor; and Paul Horgan, two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning author.It denies the rumor that Jessica Jaymes, Hustler magazine’s 2004 “Honey of the Year,” is an alumna.

Founded in 1891 as Goss Military Institute, this is the only state-supported, co-educational, college-preparatory high school and junior college in the United States. Its eight hundred male and female cadets come from all over the United States and many foreign countries. All learn to march (as did Conrad Hilton, Roger Staubach, Owen Wilson, and possibly Jessica Jaymes. Will Rogers did not learn to march here, but his son, Will Rogers, Jr. did, and the senior Will Rogers played the occasional chukka of polo here while visiting his son). Junior college graduates at NMMI have the opportunity to receive a commission in the United States Army.

Isaac and William Rapp, brothers and architects from Trinidad, Colorado, designed a master plan for the NMMI campus and its buildings in 1908 in an architectural style that is a variation of Gothic Revival called Modified Gothic, Military Gothic, or Scottish Castle. Crenellated rooflines recall medieval castles manned by archers who hid behind the higher areas while shooting at attackers through the lower notches. All buildings are constructed of Kansas buff brick that became available—and eventually put local brick kilns out of business—when Roswell’s railroad finally connected with the transcontinental railway system in 1899. Many of the buildings sport the Rapp brothers’ trademark octagonal turrets. Even the modern Toles Learning Center has stylized ones. NMMI History

In 1890 Captain Joseph Lea—“The Father of Roswell”—enrolled his son Wildy in Fort Worth University, a premier military school of the day. Captain Lea was so impressed with his son’s education there that he convinced the superintendent, Robert S. Goss, to come to Roswell and start a military school here.

Goss Military Institute opened in September 1891 with thirty-eight students and six instructors on land provided by Captain Lea in the 400 block of North Main Street, today part of Pioneer Plaza. The school provided the only high school education in Southeastern New Mexico, focusing on military training as well as academic subjects. Of the first thirty-eight cadets, twenty were female students who were not subject to the same military discipline as the boys but did drill daily with wands instead of rifles.

Financial difficulties soon led the citizens of Roswell to seek support for the school from the Territorial government, which finally agreed to take over the military school. In 1894 the newly renamed New Mexico Military Institute moved a few blocks north to the corner of Main and 7th Streets, near the present-day McDonald’s.

In September 1898, after some additional serious financial difficulties that required closing the school for several years, NMMI again relocated, this time to its present-day site at the top of North Hill on forty acres donated by Pecos Valley developer J.J. Hagerman. Legal considerations opened enrollment to females again in 1977. Hispanics have long attended New Mexico Military Institute. The first African-American cadet was admitted in 1966 with so little controversy that the cadet, Edward Colbert, Jr., said, “I never even knew it wasn’t integrated until I read it in the paper.”

Around Saunders Plaza

Like all campus plazas and pedestrian walkways, construction of Saunders Plaza began in 1983. A large statue of long-time Commandant H.P. Saunders, Jr. sculpted by Roswell oilman and artist Rogers Aston in 1974 dominates this plaza, as Saunders long dominated cadet life. A 1912 NMMI graduate, Saunders became Commandant in 1916, and held the position for the next thirty-one years. He was described as small boned but heavily muscled and athletic, a man of great moral strength and high standards, fair in his discipline of cadets, but quite strict. When highly perturbed Saunders would let loose with his strongest expletive: “Fiddle-sticks!”

Thompson Memorial Plaza. This small plaza just northwest of Saunders Plaza remembers R. Dan Thompson, Class of 1940, “a soldier, polo player, coach, and friend” and is dedicated to NMMI’s two National Intercollegiate Champion-ship polo teams. Although staff and students had played polo almost from the beginning of the school it only became a major sport at NMMI in 1924. On a visit to his cadet son (Will Rogers, Jr., later a well known actor) in 1937, humorist Will Rogers, himself quite a horseman, even played a chukka of polo here—actually, he played on the polo field that once existed across Main Street between today’s baseball field and the Wool Bowl. NMMI won their two national championships by beating Princeton in 1952 and Yale in 1954. However, just one month after winning their second championship, NMMI dropped polo as a sport—because of its expense—in spite of strong objections from students, staff, and alumni.

Marshall Infirmary. This hospital opened in 1918, just in time for the deadly worldwide flu epidemic. Two-thirds of cadets were affected by the illness, but only three died. Red Cross nurses and local doctors helped, but fellow cadets cared for each other. Classes were dismissed for six weeks of quarantine, with nightly movies—silent, of course—relieving boredom. In 1965 the hospital was dedicated to Dr. I.J. Marshall, a long-time NMMI physician. Campus police offices are also located here.

Around NMMI’s Alumni Plaza

Alumni Memorial Plaza, whose outline is in the shape of the New Mexico flag’s Zia sun sign, is dedicated to William D. DeSanders, a B-17 pilot and member of the class of 1940. His larger-than-life statue sculpted by Roswell oilman and art-ist Rogers Aston stands in the middle of the plaza. Bronze statues also sculpted by Aston of soldiers from the First and Second World Wars, Korean War, and Vietnam War at each of the four corners of the plaza commemorate the alumni who served in those conflicts. Aston’s close attention to detail reflects careful research. For example, his World War I doughboy accurately carries a P-17 rifle rather than the Springfield .03 that many assume they used.

NMMI Enrollment and Development Center (former Luna Natatorium, former McBride Military Museum). From its earliest days in 1891 NMMI has always had a swimming pool. Luna Natatorium, with its impressively detailed Military Gothic features, was built over an outdoor pool on this site in 1918 and named in honor of former cadet Antonio Luna who died at Fort Bliss in 1916. During the 1930s, bathing suits were not allowed in Luna Natatorium because they were considered unhygienic. Female employees entered the area at their own risk—of embarrassment. Until 1985 when the pool was filled in, some claimed to hear the Splashing Ghosts of three cadets who drowned here under unusual circumstances in 1954.

In 1985 NMMI converted this building to office and exhibit space, renaming it the McBride Military Museum.. . . In 2006 NMMI again renovated the building and renamed it the Enrollment and Development Center. It now houses the offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, the NMMI Foundation, and the Alumni Association. At present the museum exhibits related to NMMI and U.S. military history are in temporary storage, but will eventually be displayed on the second floor, and will hopefully include one of Sergeant Barney Leonard’s Harley-Davidson motorcycles with a machine gun mounted on the sidecar. (“Sarge,” a weapons instructor at NMMI, put together an eight-cadet, four-vehicle Armed Motorcycle Cavalry squad in 1915, but was un-successful in convincing General Pershing to take the unit on his pursuit of Pancho Villa into Mexico the next year.) Currently, football memorabilia from Roger Staubach, an autographed picture of actor Owen Wilson, and a photo of a polo player by famous New Mexican photographer Laura Gilpin are among the items displayed.

Lea Hall. Today’s Lea Hall, built in 1937 on the site of the old Headquarters Building, houses academic classrooms and offices for the humanities. Designed to mirror Willson Hall across Bronco Plaza, it honors Captain Joseph Lea, “The Father of Roswell,” who is also “The Father of NMMI,” as he was responsible for its founding in 1891, donated the land for its first campus, and provided much support over its early years.

This is the third building on the New Mexico Military Institute campus given Lea’s name. The first Lea Hall, a three-story red brick building, stood just northeast of where the Commandant’s House (2 Campus Circle) stands today. A photo of this building hangs in the Roswell Public Library lobby. This first structure erected on the cur-rent campus contained classrooms, dormitories, a laundry, a kitchen, a dining room, and even a basement swimming pool. The first Lea Hall survived a twenty-four-inch hole blasted through one wall when a Cadet Taliaferro set off a cannon late one night, but it did not survive a fire in 1909.

The second Lea Hall, also three stories high but built of the standard Kansas buff brick adopted by that time, was completed in 1910 in what is now the north-east section of Hagerman Barracks. It contained classrooms, science labs, the library, and a small collection of military memorabilia, including the key to the blockhouse on San Juan Hill, donated by “Captain Jack” Fletcher, long-time NMMI Band Director. He had led the band that played patriotic music when U.S. troops raised the Stars and Stripes over the Governor’s Palace in Havana at the conclusion of the Spanish-American War.

Willson Hall. Willson Hall’s elaborate architecture made it the most impressive building on campus at its completion in 1927. Constructed on the old parade ground site where Cadet Conrad Hilton once marched disciplinary tours for writing “vulgar and obscene” comments on another’s paper, it currently houses natural sciences, math, social sciences, and business administration classrooms and offices, but originally also contained the library—which seems to have moved around quite a bit over the years.

Mathematics instructor James W. Willson, Superintendent from 1901 until his death in 1922, was one of the most influential early figures in setting NMMI’s future course. A proud Virginian and a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, Willson set out to create the best military school west of the Mississippi. He established the strong military character of NMMI, based on the VMI model, focusing more on military training and discipline than on academics. He placed such emphasis on sports, which he greatly enjoyed, that he once refused to hire a prospective faculty member because the applicant didn’t play baseball—until 1910 staff as well as students played on the athletic teams.

Toles Learning Center. The J. Penrod Toles Learning Resource Center, com-pleted in 1985, contains the Paul Horgan Library, as well as an auditorium, a TV production studio, a computer center, and counselor offices.

Paul Horgan (1903-1995), a 1923 NMMI graduate, served as librarian from 1926 to 1944. He won two Pulitzer Prices: one for Great River: The Rio Grande in North American History (1954) and one for Lamy of Santa Fe (1975), a biography of the pioneer archbishop, whom Willa Cather fictionalized in Death Comes for the Archbishop.

When Horgan first became librarian here he reorganized the library using the Dewey Decimal System. The previous part-time librarian, Bandmaster “Captain Jack” Fletcher, had also instituted a new organizational scheme when he took over the library in 1909 from Modern Languages Instructor Count Mancini-Martini. The Count had organized books by size—tall books on one shelf, short books on another. “Captain Jack” reorganized the books by color—red, green, blue . . .

Colt Field. NMMI’s original Polo Field covered this area as well as the land where Godfrey Athletic Center now stands. A small section, about where Honor Avenue runs today, also served as the football field, although baseball, played on the eastern half of today’s Stapp Parade Field, was a much more popular sport. Perhaps this was because NMMI’s early Twentieth Century baseball teams won frequent championships and beat every school and town team within 400 miles, while the football team lost its first intercollegiate game in 1907 to the “Farmers” of the Agricultural College in Las Cruces by a score of 28 to 0.

Cahoon Armory. This building houses the athletic department offices and con-tains a gym used for basketball games, and in the past for dances. Built in 1927, it was dedicated in 1929 to Roswell businessman and banker E.A. Cahoon, who served for thirty-nine years on the Board of Regents. It is called an Armory be-cause at one time the National Guard used it as such. Older cadets try to scare RATS—new cadets—with ghost stories about its Bloody Tower.

Ghost Stories do abound on the NMMI campus. One of the most popular concerns “Missing Troop J”—this one has even made it to the Internet. It seems there is no Troop J in the Corps of Cadets out of respect for members of an early Troop J, all of whom died fighting to protect NMMI and Roswell during the Indian Wars. It is even said that the faces of these young men can sometimes be seen staring out of the clock tower on Lusk Hall. One big problem with this story: the Apache Wars in New Mexico and Arizona ended with the final capture of Geronimo in 1886. It wasn’t until five years later that Colonel Goss founded Goss Military Institute—that became NMMI—as a secondary school whose original students were mainly girls but included boys as young as seven. Not until World War I, by which time NMMI had expanded to include a junior college, did volunteers from NMMI fight with the National Guard and U.S. Army. But ghost stories are still fun, and quite a number of them, most equally implausible, make the rounds here late at night (a do the rumors about Jessica Jaymes).

Rock Garden. Superintendent “Deke” Pearson built this lovely rock garden, topped with a huge chunk of petrified wood, during the 1930s. At one time he kept two small alligators in the pool that filled the rocky basin, but had to enclose it with a wire fence after neighbors across College Avenue complained about finding alligators in their shrubbery.

Pearson Auditorium and Brown Music Center at NMMI. Virginian D.C. “Deke” Pearson, who served as Commandant for four years beginning in 1905 and then became Superintendent in 1926, serving in that position for twenty-one years, built this auditorium that seats over 1,000 people in 1940. Colonel Pearson was the first Superintendent to be seriously interested in academics, as opposed to military discipline and sports.

In 1941 Superintendent Pearson purchased a Wurlitzer organ from the Sunshine Theater in Albuquerque and installed it in the auditorium. The organ was refurbished in 1983 and occasional organ concerts are scheduled today.

Pearson Auditorium hosts five concerts a year of the Roswell Symphony Or-chestra (founded in 1959, with all professional musicians since 1970), as well as presentations by various Armed Forces Bands, ballet troupes, opera companies, and other entertainment for cadets and the public. Some say Superintendent Pearson still keeps a watchful eye on the goings on in his auditorium through his haunting, or haunted, portrait in the auditorium lobby. Varying fees are charged for events.

The adjoining W.P. Brown Memorial Music Center, completed in 1983, is used for band practice. Brown, a Phoenix businessman and alumnus, provided the money to renovate the organ in Pearson Auditorium. The Brown Music Cen-ter contains an interesting portrait of that wonderful old NMMI character, Bandmaster “Captain Jack” Fletcher who led the NMMI band for forty-one years. “Captain Jack” had been a Bandsman in the British Army for ten years and a Bandmaster in the United States Army during the Spanish-American War prior to coming to NMMI in 1902. Retiring in 1943, he has the longest faculty tenure on record, and he probably also holds the record for most luxuriant moustache.

New Mexico Military Institute Stables. WPA workers built NMMI’s stables in 1937. Once a state-of-the-art equestrian facility able to accommodate 140 horses, the stables have remained empty since the last horses left NMMI in 1997, a sad time for the school whose recruiting motto was once “Every boy rides.”

Daniels Leadership Center. This new facility with its adjacent ropes course provides leadership training programs to cadets and the Roswell community. Philanthropist R.W. “Bill” Daniels, Jr. (1920-2000) graduated from the NMMI high school program in 1939 and the junior college in 1941. A Navy fighter pilot in World War II, he later became “The Father of Cable TV” as a highly successful leader in that field. In addition to funding this center, Daniels established NMMI’s television production studio in Toles Learning Center. Varying fees are charged for programs.

NMMI Golf Course and Clubhouse. Superintendent Hugh Milton took over at NMMI in 1947. An Army General during World War II, he had previously served as President of New Mexico Agricultural and Mechanical College—today’s New Mexico State University—so one of his first projects at NMMI was to irrigate 140 acres on West 19th Street to raise alfalfa for NMMI’s horses. He also set up a hog farm on the property, feeding the nearly 100 pigs from dining hall scraps. Needless to say, this was never a popular enterprise, and he was never a popular Superintendent.

In 1956 a later Superintendent, Hobart Gay, who had been General George Patton’s Chief of Staff during World War II, turned the hog farm into an eighteen-hole golf course. This was a much more popular use for the land, and General Gay was a much more appreciated Superintendent—although NMMI no longer holds its annual “Gay Day” celebration to honor him. When the golf course was built, special permission was granted to design the clubhouse in a Modified California Mission style, rather than the standard Military Gothic because it was believed that a crenellated clubhouse would look silly. The par 72 golf course and its driving range are open to public use, with a fee of $25.00 for 18 holes, which includes a cart. 622-6033. Open nearly every day 8-5 but closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

There is even a version that the competent authorities have established contact with alien creatures. Moreover, they were simply expected to visit! Today, stories are circulating in the media that, at the end of the history of the USSR, the “combined team” of the General Staff and the Russian Academy of Sciences was expecting the arrival of aliens in the sands of the Kyzyl Kum desert in June 1991.

It is clear that humanity will not stop striving to find its own kind in the Universe. But something else is also obvious. Along with the explicit tales of “green men”, we see phenomena that fit well into the concept of the presence of extraterrestrial intelligence next to us.

In that case, isn’t it time to finally declassify all materials related to UFOs? Both in the USA and in Russia.

Therefore, the “UFO term” in relation to Roswell artifacts will be mentioned only in a certain context, because we are talking about the fact established by the US authorities, confirmed by thousands of secret documents and testimonies of many participants in these events. Several dozen of these documents the author cited in previous articles, with a description of their content and copies of selected pages.

In the world scientific circulation (not to be confused with the Russian one), the fact of the artificial extraterrestrial origin of materials that inspired the researchers of to try to create SMF (shape memory materials) is almost unconditionally recognized (as always, Scopus to help).

The author does not seek to convince anyone of anything, but, as always, only informs.

Rating: believe / do not believe, of course, at the discretion of the readers.

But I want to make a small distraction, which can be useful for understanding the essence and algorithms of intelligence and information work in the United States.

Terminology of the American intelligence community

The main stages of work on the analysis of intelligence information appear as follows.

4. Interpretation of facts.
5. Constructing a hypothesis.

Please note that the author does not build hypotheses and does not offer conclusions, but investigates the problem using the same methods as the US National Intelligence Service does. And as an interpretation, he cites only the conclusion of the officials responsible for these reports.

The US National Intelligence Council guidelines suggest an assessment of the reliability of events using stringent probability criteria combined with an assessment of the level of credibility of sources (“high, medium, low”) based on the amount and quality of supporting information.

So, the information about Roswell in the internal documents of the National Intelligence Service has the highest degree of reliability – almost certainly – 93%.

I believe that older comrades weaned some readers from such a “chamomile” even in the first years of service.

By the way, highly likely (75%) in combination with a rating of the level of trust (“high”) is not an invention of Theresa May, but the criterion of reliability from the MI-6 information work instruction. Corresponds to American probably / likely – 75%. (And this always requires strong evidence from multiple sources).

DIA Recognition

This is, in fact, the reason for today’s discussion.

The US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) ended decades of speculation by confirming that UFO material “ was indeed recovered in Roswell, and some of this material was handed over to a defense contractor for analysis and storage in“ specialized facilities ”.

This is an important admission, although not news.

But DIA has attached to its response to the inquiry and reports from laboratories for the recovery of UFO metamaterials and part of the correspondence on this topic.

This happened in several batches this year.In the original – it’s all conditionally available for a month already.

And a part of this main detective story of mankind about metamaterials read on. Including the names of the participants, addresses, appearances, the results of technology transfer, cover operations …

But let’s return to the space materials discussed in the first part of the article, and even more specifically – to nitinol.

Official version of nitinol

Traditionally, it is believed that a nickel-titanium memory alloy (known as nitinol) was “discovered by accident” in the early 1960s at the US Naval Artillery Laboratory in Maryland by coauthors Dr. Wang and Buehler.But the true story of nitinol is deliberately hidden – and riddled with holes and inaccuracies.

The name “nitinol” is an abbreviation: Ni ckel Ti tanium N aval O rdnance L aboratory, which reflects the authorship of the laboratory where it was made in 1962.

One of the problems that immediately catches the eye in the “official” history of nitinol is the exact year proposed for its discovery. Just google the word “nitinol” with any of the following years: 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, or 1963.

The search results will show links to sites that list each of these years as the “year of discovery” for nitinol. Even the “official” co-authors of the discovery of nitinol, Buehler and Wang, proposed different dates of invention, albeit from that particular range when they worked at the Naval Laboratory.

In fact, the first attempts to investigate this remarkable nickel-titanium alloy were made many years ago, in the late 1940s after the Roswell crash.And this work was done by someone else.

And we know who.

This work was commissioned by Wright-Patterson, the very base where the crashed craft’s material was stored.

In most retellings, the explanation of how nitinol was “accidentally” discovered boils down to the fact that “someone was bored and decided to bring a match to the material to see how heating would work” (in the Russian version of the discovery of such a technology, I I would still believe, but it is doubtful that someone loitering around in the American military laboratory and violating fire safety rules.)

But in another story, a researcher first put a nickel-titanium alloy in a hardness press and a dent formed on it. Then he decided to heat the block to see the effect of the heat treatment – and to his surprise, the dent was gone.

William J. Buhler, Discoverer of Nitinol

Another reason is given in the oral history of co-author Nitinol Buhler. He says that one day, for some reason, he took a strip of alloy to a meeting at the Naval Laboratory.He fiddled with the material, and his partner David Muzzy held a pipe lighter (in some versions a match for cigarettes) to the material to see what happened … And voila, nitinol!

In 1959, William J. Buhler of the US Naval Laboratory met with a group of colleagues who were trying to determine the most suitable material for to use as a nose cone for Polaris SLBMs.

This material had to withstand the dramatic temperature swings between the very low temperature of space, the tremendous heat as it travels through the atmosphere, and the “relative coolness” at the end of the trajectory.

Buhler’s original task was to test the alloys specified in Max Hansen’s Binary Alloy Constitution, the most complete collection of binary alloys at the time. The book contained properties and binary diagrams of the structure of alloys, which allowed Buhler to select sixty composites for further development. Later, this number was reduced to twelve, while the alloy of nickel and titanium showed significantly better impact resistance and ductility.

Buhler decided to actively investigate only the nickel-titanium alloy and found that it has a very interesting property.The alloy rods produced by Buhler and his assistant fell to the floor and produced an almost leaden, muffled sound effect when cooled.

Originally it was believed that the rods formed a large number of microcracks during the injection molding process used to form the rods. This theory was disproved when the warmer rods, as Buehler describes it, when they fell, “… rang with the quality of a bell.”

This property was confirmed when the cooling rods were reheated by placing them in boiling water and thrown on the floor again to compare the sound.

Buhler discussed this phenomenon with his assistant and came to the conclusion:

“… a noticeable change in acoustic attenuation was associated with a serious change in the structure of the atom, associated with only a slight change in temperature.”

Bühler is in conflict and offers two diametrically opposed explanations. At one time he called it a “planned discovery” and told another reporter that it was a result of “serendipity” or an accidental discovery.

And the research paper of Nitinol’s “official” co-author, Dr. Wang, confirms that he was “fed” the necessary alloy information from Battelle’s early post-Roswell memory metal report.

Why nitinol was created and researched

There are at least three completely different reasons why nitinol was researched in the first place.

• In his “oral history,” Buehler said that he was conducting research on intermetallic alloys for use in ballistic missile nose cones.

• But in a 1968 Time magazine article, he writes that they were trying to find a non-magnetic, non-corrosive material to use as a tool in finding underwater mines.

• Former scientist Lawrence Berkeley recently revealed that this material was developed in an attempt to create a new submarine hull material.

One version does not reject others, and this only testifies to the great demand for such material in military applications.

Manhattan Project

In addition to dubious claims for the invention of nitinol, domestic science (and the intelligence that supports its interests) has something to be proud of.

For example, the project to create an atomic bomb, which ensured a long-term peaceful, although not entirely friendly existence of the great powers for more than 75 years.

But the main atomic secrets of the USSR were borrowed from the Americans in the Manhattan Project.

A nitinol and many of modern technologies Americans tried to borrow from extraterrestrial spacecraft. And they had several of their own Kurchatovs, about which further …

All this is very interconnected.

As we discussed earlier, the intensification of UFO activity and, as a result, their mass sighting was associated precisely with the American atomic project.

Back in June 1947, that is, a month before the Roswell incident, on the instructions of the US government, Oppenheimer and Einstein prepared a secret report (UFO disclosure, there was also a scan of a copy of this document).

How it worked both in the USSR and in the USA

The key to keeping the origin of such technology a secret is “separation”:

• You are giving away only parts of the information and to no one in its entirety. Sometimes you only provide technical information about parts from other users, not the parts themselves.

• You release them to different locations.

• This is not done immediately, but at regular intervals.

• You give information to those with “strict clearance” and only then to those with “need to know”.

But most importantly, you never tell any of them the “backstory” of where it came from.

Over the decades, the truth will be buried even deeper and easier to bury.

Thus, scientists working today on shape restoration alloys cannot understand the hidden history of their work.It is likely that even the “official” inventors of nitinol at the Naval Laboratory were not aware of the Roswell Impulse of their research (although they may well have wondered).

It now appears that much of the work on the wreckage at Roswell was cleverly and conveniently rolled into a military contract for the “traditional” aviation or naval metalworking projects of the time.

These are the supporting documents that were provided to DIA earlier this year.

It was the perfect operation.

Selectively “leasing” portions of this work ensured that no one would make any “connections”. The “paper trail” on the study of the material could also be confused with the “normal military work” which they “already did”.

But there were too many documents and witnesses, and therefore “the roof began to leak.”

Roof

The study of the recovered UFO wreckage is being carried out within the framework of “programs for the study of modern weapons and aerospace materials.”

This use of scientists in the private sector and academia to study technical issues related to alien technology has long been suspected by many researchers. And the response from the DIA now confirms this.

Scientists who received grants to work on this study and create these reports do not know (and should not know) about the extraterrestrial impulse or the origin of their work. Much of their work is a continuation of work begun decades before their birth.

Extraterrestrial Metals

In order for “any debris” or man-made material to be recognized as extraterrestrial in origin, confirmation of the following is required:

• That it was composed of an element unknown to Earth or science.

• That it is composed of known elements, but is present in an extraterrestrial isotopic ratio.

• That the processes required to fuse or form a material are unknown to science.

• That the physical properties exhibited by the material are not found in terrestrial material and are unknown to science.

Falsifications

Falsifications of “space metals” were enough. At least ten such cases are known, but surely there were many more. Sometimes it was a special deception, sometimes it was a good faith delusion of the one who discovered the “space debris”.

But they are determined elementarily in any modern laboratory.

Moreover, artificial space materials should not be confused with the materials of meteorites. The latter are even easier to classify.

True Story

The US Pentagon is in turmoil this year as it tries to explain why one of its own agencies, the Military Intelligence Agency (DIA), has publicly confirmed unidentified flying object (UAP) debris tests.

In response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) inquiry about the results of the study of recovered UFO wreckage, received an official response and more than 150 pages of technical documentation on possible uses of strange futuristic materials (links to some documents will be further in the text).

Quote from one of them:
This material, inspired by the analysis of UFO debris, can control the speed of light, remember its original shape when deformed, and can make objects invisible.

Let me remind you the very beginning of this story.

The head of the US Department of Defense Intelligence, Stephen Tumisky, who released the information on the UFO wreckage, said he was proud of the results of his work, including what he considered thoroughness in fulfilling the FOIA request (apparently, the example of Major Marcel, who publicly admitted to idiot for the sake of US national security, he was not inspired).

In addition to the FOIA request and the DIA response, there is a series of confirmation letters that are publicly available.

DIA confirms the fulfillment of specific items requested related to the analysis of UFO / UAP wreckage.

In these emails, the head of DIA makes it clear that the issues discussed are related to testing of UFO wreckage. And this cannot be interpreted in any other way!

Was Roswell’s memory metal secretly “seeded” for industry and others who could exploit its potential benefits?

How was the technology transferred while maintaining its origins?

Why did government psychics conduct strange “mind over matter” tests on shape-restoring metal nitinol?

Recently declassified information provides amazing answers to these questions.

Roswell Link

Roswell AFB in 1947 was the only nuclear bomber base in the US arsenal.

Jesse Marcel

One of the first to initiate the investigation was Major Jesse Marcel, who immediately realized that this was not military property, but something more strange.

In addition to the wreckage, an aircraft and bodies were found.

Meanwhile, Colonel William Blanchard, the base commander, instructed Lieutenant Walter Hout to issue a hastily compiled press release describing the wreckage as a “flying disc.” A local newspaper captioned their own story: “The RAAF seized a flying saucer at a ranch in the Roswell region.”

Flying Disc touched down on a ranch near Roswell last week.

“The debris is currently in my office, and as far as I can tell, there is nothing special here. The gizmo, a star-shaped aluminum foil screen that bounces off radar signals, can only fly depending on wind speed. ”

Then the military organized a press conference, at which they continued to defend the version according to which the debris of the balloon was found in Roswell.Marseille is chosen as the “visual messenger”, which rejects everything previously said and written:

“Our mistake, just a weather balloon, there is nothing to see here.”

Marseille, they brought an old weather balloon and set the task to admit to reporters that he was mistaken and could not immediately distinguish the weather balloon from a spacecraft of unknown origin.

Which he did under the camera flashes.

But Marseille was not so simple (I already wrote about his combat and reconnaissance paths).

Look at the sly face of this guy …

And on the eve of the shooting, he brought home and hid in the barn a piece of a real wreck of a spacecraft, or rather, a piece of the metamaterial of its hull (his wife and son tell about this, with many additional details) …

The late Dr. Jesse Marcel Jr., MD, witnessed the wreckage of a UFO crash in Roswell as a child. It was so interesting that his “daddy went into hiding with some materials and brought them home for his family to see.”

Skeptics often overlook this simple and important detail. If the wreck was “earthly,” as they claim, then why would Marcel, in fact, steal the physical evidence he was commissioned to investigate, handing over some of it to his 12-year-old son Jesse Jr. and wife?

So that they too can see how unusual it is!

Scouts are people too and nothing human is alien to them!

It is strange that Marseille was not only not punished for his “mistake”, but even rewarded.

At first he was appointed head of the SAC (Strategic Air Command) foreign technical intelligence unit, which was a strange assignment for a man who supposedly could not identify even the primitive wreckage of the balloon.

Then, at the urging of the Pentagon, he was soon transferred to the Top Secret Special Weapons Project, gaining access to highly classified materials, and served as the chief instructor.

Apparently, the Air Force continued to regard Marseilles as an extremely competent and trustworthy intelligence officer after the Roswell incident.

None of this fits the profile of the man who whistleblowers claim has badly damaged his spy reputation in Roswell.

After demobilization, Marseille revealed a lot to , including several types of debris, including a dull, metal-like, porous tissue-like material with memory properties.

Walter Hout

As RAAF Press Officer in July 1947, Walter Hout wrote a famous press release dictated to him by Colonel William Blanchard, the base commander.

Walter was forced to claim that the previously reported “flying disc” that allegedly crashed near Roswell “as it turned out” was simply a misplaced weather balloon that was initially thought to be something more.

This release was featured in the Roswell newspapers and spread all over the world.

No Hout left evidence of the reality of the crashed aircraft, which should have been heard after his death (audio recording is available).

In December 2002, Walter decided to tell a story about what really happened.In his affidavit (see below), he stated that on none of the press reports he was supposed to disseminate were untrue.

Walt said that a small manned craft was actually found and crashed. He saw this and the wreckage, and one of the extraterrestrial beings.

July 8, 1947 (early morning).

According to a statement by Roswell Base Public Information Officer Walter Hout, in a 2002 affidavit , Ramy and Dubose attended the morning staff meeting in Roswell to discuss how to publicly deal with the accident, as many civilians in the area now knew about it.

Briefings were presented on the wreckage field and the location of the aircraft, body and wreckage.

General Rami said they were going to cover it up.

The main task is to exclude from the media and public consciousness the most important that, in addition to the wreckage, another aircraft and bodies were found.

Hout believes that General Rami was acting on orders from the Pentagon.

Like the notarized affidavit, Walter did not want this 1999 recorded confession to be published until some time after his death, which occurred in 2005 at the age of 83.

Let’s summarize what the early participants in these events finally confirmed:

• Jesse Marcel. It was an extraterrestrial vehicle and extraterrestrial material.

This is a staged photo of , but there are several more, not officially published, in which their faces are even more cunning than those of Marcel, and expressions that leave no doubt about the preparation of falsification (which both confirmed in the last years of their lives). there is a version with a meteorological balloon or a secret Mogul (this is a system for detecting nuclear explosions from potential adversaries), no one has confirmed.

At the same time, each of these personalities speaks of a large-scale cleaning of the territory, removal of debris and other space debris by trucks and military transport aircraft.

(Isn’t that too much for one weather balloon?)

In this trash, each of them saw different types of materials, including films, similar to today’s waveguides and pieces of metal.

All of these materials were very light and impossibly strong.

And what is most interesting, incomprehensible letters and signs on the T-panels, clearly related to the control systems of devices. Which was confirmed by further investigations.

Rather, a hypothesis was put forward using the ideas of quantum theory, string theory (M-theory), and the theory of “quantum consciousness”.And if according to the first two there are theoreticians (far from among the world leaders) in the Fatherland, then in the “theory of consciousness” the competence of Russian scientists is zero, at least in the part that concerns the control of the properties of metamaterials through consciousness.

To the author, this hypothesis seems worthy of attention (but let me remind you that now we are discussing only materials, so we will not develop this topic here, even in a very popular presentation).

J.Bond Johnson

Fort Worth Star-Telegram Staff Reporter, was called to General Ramy’s office on July 8 ahead of the press conference.

Johnson took four widely publicized photographs: two with Ramy and the wreckage of the weather balloon, and two with Ramy and his assistant Colonel (later General) Thomas J. Dubose.

Duboz repeatedly testified that was ordered from Washington to provoke the cover-up, and the debris photographed by Johnson was taken from a replaced weather balloon, with the actual debris removed (same story as Jesse Marcel).

Frank Joyce

Other recovered documents include documents from reporter Frank Joyce. Joyce was in Roswell in 1947 and worked as a reporter for radio station KGFL. After the Roswell crash, Joyce had the feeling that everything could be hidden or somehow “forgotten” about the crash.

Joyce did something very unusual: he collected UPI teleprinters and news services received by the station about the disaster as they passed through the apparatus. And Joyce kept these original teletypes and showed them to researchers many decades later to provide documentation that something important did happen on that fateful day.

Frederic Benthal

Sergeant Frederic Benthal: An army photographer who flew in from Washington DC said he photographed the bodies of aliens in a tent at the crash site and saw a large amount of debris transported by trucks after the crash.

Many people have spoken about the reality of Roswell over the years, including senators, congressmen, governors, Apollo astronauts …

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base was the very base where UFO wreckage in Roswell flew after the crash. Gjplytt Wright-Patterson Air Force Base was contracted by the Battelle Memorial Institute to analyze material from a UFO crash in Roswell in 1947.

Battelle, founded in 1929, is dedicated to the research, development and commercialization of technological innovation. They specialize in materials science and engineering, life sciences, energy and homeland security. Battelle is contracted to operate many of the US national laboratories.

This includes some of the most sensitive sites in the United States, such as Oak Ridge Laboratories, Lawrence Livermore and Brookhaven. Battelle is headquartered near Wright Patterson and remains one of the nation’s leading defense contractors. Their metallurgical capabilities and technical talent continue to be recognized globally.

A direct link between Roswell’s wreckage and Battelle’s research is revealed in a material known as nitinol.

Confirmation

Nitinol research actually began at Battell just after the Roswell crash, not in the early 1960s. And it was Wright-Patterson (the base where the disaster materials were delivered) who ordered this secret work.

This confirmation is contained in a short footnote found in a study by one of the “official” inventors of nitinol at the US Naval Laboratory. In this military report on nitinol, the author makes a reference to a 1949 Battelle study that clearly relates to the purification of titanium and nickel.

“When properly processed, the result is a metal with the memory effect of nitinol.”

It is possible that the “official” coauthors of nitinol were unaware that the memory metal impulse was found in a study of Roswell debris – or perhaps not.

Under this Wright-Patterson military contract, Battel was required to analyze and test new metallurgical processes on nickel and titanium, which, when specially processed and combined, create nitinol, a “transforming metal” similar to the one reported at Roswell.

Historical analysis of the scientific literature reveals that no other alloys were ever studied by the US military as a potential “metal with memory” until this period in the late 1940s – and Battell’s Wright-Patterson research contract.

Names and Addresses

The Battelle Memorial Metal Report, entitled “Second Progress Report AF33 (038) – 3736,” was drawn up for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in 1949.
Its authors are K.M. Craighead, F. Fone, and L. W. Eastwood. This appears to be part of a series of such contracts awarded in the early 1950s. Interestingly, the scientists who compiled the report were very closely associated with the previously mentioned Dr. Howard Cross, Battell’s chief titanium metallurgist (and later Battelle’s UFO researcher for the Bluebook project).
Scientists have continued to write reports on exotic metallurgy in areas such as metal and superplasticity, metal transformation, and metal microstructure.

Howard K. Cross

Recent investigation reveals that a scientist at the renowned Battell Memorial Institute, Dr. Howard K. Cross, may have directed the research on the Roswell-like “memory metal” under contract from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base shortly after the 1947 disaster.

Recently uncovered details confirm that Cross led a double life, both as a metallurgist and as a UFO researcher in the secret government.

Dr. Cross was Battelle’s Titanium Expert. In the late 1940s, Dr. Cross was feeding technical information about titanium (which is needed to create a metal with memory) to the US Naval Laboratory. This is the same laboratory where, a few years later, it was said, “officially” the memory metal nitinol was discovered.

Perhaps the most revealing point about Dr. Cross is that it has been confirmed that he worked closely with and co-authored with Battelle scientist L. W. Eastwood.

Copies of the documents that Dr. Cross and L.W. Eastwood wrote together are on file and are available for viewing.

It is LV Eastwood who is one of the authors (along with Craighead and Fawn) of the “missing” reports to Battelle Wright-Patterson in the late 1940s about a nickel-titanium metal with memory (nitinol).

Information about Dr. Cross is very sparse, but in one discovered study of metals, Cross is referred to as the “director of research.” With that in mind – and everything we now know about him, it is possible that Dr. Cross was the manager of the metal scientists.(that is, he played the role of academician Kurchatov in the Soviet atomic project).

A short reference found in a government report a decade ago shows that a technical summary report titled Titanium Alloys was compiled by Battelle metallurgist Dr. Howard Clinton Cross. This document was submitted by him to the Office of Naval Research in December 1948. The Office of Naval Research is the very place where more than ten years later the “metal of memory” – nitinol (an alloy of nickel and titanium) will be “discovered”!

According to reports that he wrote, over the years he has conducted research in various fields of materials science and engineering, including titanium.But oddly enough, he also helped lead UFO research for the Battelle-sponsored Blue Book project in the early 1950s.

Other information detailed below shows that after the Roswell incident, Cross worked quietly – but very closely – with the heads of various departments of the US government on various aspects of the UFO phenomenon.
That is, he performed the function of Kurchatov in the atomic project of the USSR.

Why would a materials engineer studying exotic alloys in 1948 later help Battell conduct government-funded research on flying saucers?

This is probably because Dr. Cross was studying Roswell’s morph metal.He possessed technical knowledge of the ship’s design and obtained a security clearance, which allowed him to become a valuable asset for the US military and intelligence in investigating and analyzing particularly complex UFO cases.

On January 9, 1953, Cross wrote a memo (stamped Secret in red ink) to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Colonel Miles E. Goll. Goll was the head of Intelligence Analysis at the Air Force Command at the time.

In the memo, Cross makes it clear that he had the right to speak in an official capacity on behalf of Battelle about their UFO work for the government.

In the memo, Cross insisted that Wright-Patterson postpone the work of the CIA’s UFO research group, the Robertson group. Cross wanted Battel first to complete a statistical study of UFOs commissioned by the Air Force, later known as Project Blue Book Report # 14. The CIA itself even consulted with Cross and agreed with him on the need for a delay.

UFO Reenactment

Decades after it was written in 1953, a memorandum marked “Secret” was discovered under unusual circumstances.It is sometimes called the “Pentacle” aide-memoire and was written by Howard Cross from Battell. Dr. Cross forwarded this letter to “Colonel Miles Goll” of Aircraft Command.

Colonel Miles Goll

Colonel Miles Goll is the person for whom Cross wrote the aforementioned Pentacle on UFOs.Miles Goll is the key to unraveling the Roswell mystery. Goll, very revealingly, was the head of the analytical department of the highly classified T-2 unit in Wright’s Air Force Command.

Goll’s group was tasked with providing technical reconnaissance and analysis of fallen enemy aircraft or other recovered technologies with defensive attachments. In addition, they had to prevent strategic, tactical or technological “surprise”.

They were required to provide any information collected to the engineering section for use in attempts to reverse engineer or replicate such technology.

Air Force General George Schulgen

Air Force General George Shulgen (who led Pentagon intelligence during the Roswell incident) on October 30, 1947, about four months after the crash, wrote a previously marked “secret” draft memorandum on the UFO issue.
The revised version of this cheat sheet has a section titled Building Items.

Schulgen instructs his officers to know about flying objects and the materials from which they are made.He emphasizes the “unusual manufacturing methods for achieving extremely light weight” and the fact that the material has a “composite construction … using various combinations of metals.”

Schulgen describes just some of the characteristics of nitinol. Like the Roswell debris material, it is an “extremely light” intermetallic alloy. As a new “composite structure”, it is created by a “fancy fabrication” method that “uses a combination of metals” – perhaps titanium and nickel.

John Senter

Battelle scientist Elroy John Senter stated that he analyzed metal from a crashed UFO while working at the Institute. Senter was a senior research chemist who worked at Battell for nearly two decades, from 1939 to 1957. This was confirmed by the location and content of the scientific papers he wrote during his time at Battell.

General Arthur Exon

In an interview conducted in the 1990s, former Brigadier General of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Arthur Exon confirmed the existence of Roswell material reports.

Exon, commander of the Wright-Patterson Base in the 1960s, said that was aware of some details about the composition of the wreckage after the accident and about the various tests that were carried out on it.

The US government’s overwhelming admission that it is in possession of UFO wreckage was recently made in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request over three years ago by this author.

In response, the US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) ended decades of speculation by confirming that UFO material had indeed been discovered. Now officially referred to as UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon) rather than UFOs, some of this material was handed over to a defense contractor for analysis and storage in “specialized facilities.”

Incredibly, some of the published information discusses material with shape recovery properties, much like the debris of the “memory metal” found in the 1947 UFO crash in Roswell.

In its response, the DIA agrees that it has documents in response to a request for UFO wreckage and its analysis, the program under which they were operated, AATIP (Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program) and that their defense contractor (Bigelow Aerospace in Las Vegas, NV) stores the material.They also provide some reports related to possible applications of the material studied.

And, judging by the documentation received, the wreckage found has other unusual abilities as well. In addition to “remembering” their original shape when bent or squashed, some of these futuristic materials can make things invisible, “compress” electromagnetic energy, and even slow the speed of light.

Although most of the details of the reports have been edited, it can be concluded that these technologies represent a literal quantum leap beyond the properties of all existing materials known to man.

An initial 2017 FOIA request to DIA asks for physical descriptions, properties, and composition of UFO / UAP material owned by the government and its contractor.

The request is unambiguous in meaning, just like a response with attachments.

This refers to UFO material and “physical debris recovered by Department of Defense personnel in the form of debris, debris, loose material, crashed vehicles or unidentified flying objects.”

These studies represent the first attempts to create the newest and most modern titanium alloys. Some of these alloys were later associated with the development of the “memory metal”.
This 1949 Battelle study was never publicly available until early this year.

It was pointed out that some of the technology reports could be found prior to their release by the FOIA in other chapters “on several obscure sciences and paranormal objects in the recent past, citing the reports as being related to advanced research in military and aerospace materials.”

The full title of the study is “The second progress report covering the period from September 1 to October 31, 1949 under contract No. 33 (038) – 3736 on R&D on titanium alloys.”Authors: Simmons, C. W .; Greenwich, Connecticut, Craighead, SM and others. ” The Battelle report was completed for the Wright-Patterson Aircraft Command.

It is now known that the document was previously restricted for viewing by authorized US Department of Defense personnel, even though more than 60 years have passed!

According to the Air Force, the report was finally found in the archives of the US Department of Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC). The report was received through the FOIA, but parts of it were missing.About 30% of the 119 pages are not included. Many are not numbered. The Air Force offers an explanation that this is due to the age of the document, illegibility or inability to reproduce certain parts of the report.

Particularly indicative is the section of the center in the report (on page 97). General Exon said Roswell’s material had gone through chemical analysis.

A section of this report details chemical analysis for the detection and quantification of metallic impurities.It is titled “Analytical Methods for Titanium Based Alloy”. Titanium must be of ultra high purity for use in shape memory metals.

On page 96 in the titanium melting research subsection of the report, we learn that Battelle scientist L. W. Eastwood is studying ways to optimize titanium melting as efficiently as possible. To make nitinol memory metal, an efficiently meltable titanium is required. It appears that Battel had an advanced arc furnace that Wright did not have.

On page 65 we find the section “Evaluation of Experimental Titanium Based Alloys” written by C.M. Craighead, F. Fawn and L. W. Eastwood. On the next page we find the NiTi phase diagram. This is the first military-sponsored study to create a “recipe” for mixing the two metals that make up the memory metal of nitinol.

The report refers to an intense and sudden effort to conduct the first ever research into purified titanium alloyed with other metals.As previously mentioned, General Exon speaks of “titanium” and “a different metal” and that “treatment was different” when describing the composition of Roswell’s wreckage.

General Schulgen’s note (written the week before this Battelle Metallic report) refers to UFOs whose “structural elements” are specially made composites using a variety of metals and are extremely lightweight.

Other titanium alloys investigated in the report …

Pages 82–85 of the document show interest in the properties of titanium-zirconium or TiZr.In a 1965 study by Wright-Patterson for New York University, this 1949 Battelle report is cited in a footnote. The topic of a NYU talk entitled “On the Titanium-Zirconium System” is about the shape memory potential of TiZr!

Page 95 of the document provides a technical diagram showing the first-ever research in areas such as “elongation” and “minimum bend radius” of various modern titanium alloys.This indicates that they carefully studied the elasticity, ductility and tensile strength of newly created high-purity titanium alloys, including nickel-titanium, required for the production of nitinol.

Results

Based on the sections of research found that reference this Battelle report, we know that this “progress report” offers the first “phase diagram” ever created to attempt to successfully fuse titanium and nickel. It would be required to make metal with memory.We can also conclude that he investigated the purification of titanium to high purity levels. Nitinol and Roswell Metal

Although nitinol is not identical to Roswell Debris , it represents the best attempt to recreate the found memory metal. The impetus for this metallurgical “shape recovery” research was the wreckage discovered at Roswell in the summer of 1947.

In fact, there are other (albeit very rare) references to such a memory metal in the historical UFO literature.

Several credible witnesses reported that pieces from the debris at Roswell had “shape memory” characteristics. In a crumpled state, this “transforming” metal immediately and smoothly returned to its original form. Shape-restoring metals (“memory metals”) are emerging today as a technology that finds application in everything from spectacle frames to spacecraft.

In other words, they described a material with such unusual properties many years before such material became known to the general public (or even was invented).

The fact that many credible eyewitnesses have spoken of a wonderful metal that would “remember itself” is remarkable in itself.

So how could the 80-year-old Roswell witnesses know about nitinol? Even if it was told in 1980? What, in general, could instill in the minds of such elderly and rural residents such a concept as “metal morphing”?

What could have made them think of this if it hadn’t really happened?

What could have inspired such a new idea as “moving metal” to so many different people, now separated by time, years and distance, if they had not seen it?

It just doesn’t make any sense.

Mind, Matter and Morphing

Nitinol is such a unique combination that it has been tested by the US government to see if the human mind can change it. This is stated in the summary technical report, which was compiled by the US Naval Laboratory ten years ago.

In the early 1970s, the US government tested nitinol to see if it could “transform” using only mind energy. Could psychokinesis affect this reshaping material? Could an intelligent metal like nitinol be able to respond to the energy generated by an intelligent mind?

Physicist Eldon Byrd has worked for decades at the US Naval Laboratory and other government agencies.In his article “Effects on Nitinol from Metal Alloys” (1973, Naval Surface Weapons Center, White Oak Laboratory, Silver Spring, Maryland), Byrd describes tests that were performed that year using “psychics” to try change the hardness of the material, deform it in a certain way, or change its magnetic properties.

Understanding, comprehending, realizing

Manufacturing

Even if someone can design something, it does not mean that he can do something.

Although the potential applications of nitinol were realized immediately, it was not until a decade later that practical efforts were made to commercialize the alloy.

This delay was largely due to the extraordinary difficulty of melting, processing and machining the alloy.

Even these efforts faced financial problems that were not easily overcome until the 1980s, when these practical difficulties finally began to be resolved.
