In 1964, Mother Teresa was introduced to Pope Paul VI. After that, the community received the approval of the Apostolic See and permission to open missions of the Order of Sisters of Mercy around the world. In February 1965, the first branch of the order outside India was opened in Venezuela.Soon the centers of the order appeared in Ceylon (1967), Italy, Australia and Tanzania (1968), England (1970), Bangladesh (1972), Cuba (1986).

Mother Teresa was wherever her help was needed. She visited Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, Ethiopia during the drought, Guatemala after the earthquake, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 1982, during the siege of Beirut, she convinced Israelis and Palestinians to stop fighting in order to save 37 children trapped in a frontline hospital. In 1986, after the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, Mother Teresa visited the USSR for the first time.

Mario the Greek was born on the island of Gozo (Malta) in 1957. After school, he studied philosophy and theology at the Gozo Diocesan Seminary. He was ordained a priest on May 26, 1984. He then received a Licentiate in Civil and Canon Law from the Pontifical Lateran University and a Doctor of Canon Law from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas. He carried out pastoral service in the Gozo Cathedral, in the Ta Pina sanctuary and in the parish in the village of Kerch. He was a member of the ecclesiastical court and the capital court of Malta, taught canon law at the seminary, and also served on the pastoral council, the college of counselors and other bodies of the local Church.

On November 26, 2005, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Gozo. The episcopal consecration took place on January 22, 2006. As President of the Conference of Bishops of Malta, he attended the Synod of Bishops on Family Issues in 2014 and 2015. On October 2, 2019, Pope Francis appointed Mario the Greek Pro-Secretary General of the Synod of Bishops, pending the resignation of Cardinal Lorenzo Baldisseri as Secretary General. On September 15, 2020, Bishop Greek replaced Baldisseri in this post.In this capacity, he received an assignment from Pope Francis to prepare a Synod on the theme “Towards a Synodal Church: Participation, Participation and Mission”, which will take place in 2022.

Antoine Kambanda was born in 1958 in Rwanda.Due to inter-ethnic conflict, his family moved briefly to Burundi, then to Uganda, and then to Kenya, where he attended high school. Later, Kambanda returned to his homeland, where he studied at the Higher Theological Seminary of St. Carlo Borromeo at Butare from 1984 to 1990. On September 8, 1990, he was ordained a presbyter. Then from 1993 to 1999 he studied at the Academy of Saint Alfonso in Rome, where he received a doctorate in moral theology.His parents and five of his six brothers and sisters, as well as many other relatives and friends, were killed in 1994 during the genocide against the Tutsi.

Wilton Gregory was born in 1947 in Chicago to a working class family where no one professed Catholicism, and was baptized only at the age of 12, in 1959. Immediately after school, in 1961, he entered the seminary. He was ordained a presbyter in 1973.He received his doctorate in liturgy from the Pontifical University of St. Anselma in Rome, after which he carried out pastoral ministry in several parishes in Illinois. He also taught liturgy and served as ceremonial for Cardinals Cody and Bernardin.

Jose Advincula was born in 1952 in the Philippine province of Kapiz. He studied at the secondary school at the seminary of St. Pius X in the city of Roxas, where he continued to study philosophy. Theology course took place at the University of St. Thomas in Manila. He was ordained a presbyter for the Diocese of Kapisi on April 14, 1976. He taught at the Seminary of St. Pius X, served as Dean for Academic Affairs. He later studied psychology at De la Salle University in Manila, and then – canon law at St. Thomas in Manila and Angelicum in Rome, where he received his Licentiate in Canon Law. Returning to the Philippines, he worked at several seminaries. In 1995 he became the rector of the Higher Theological Seminary of St. Pius X in Kapisa. He held positions in the archbishop’s curia and served as a parish priest.Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of San Carlos on July 25, 2001, and on November 9, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Archbishop of Capissa. As part of the Philippine Bishops’ Conference, was a member of the Doctrine of Faith Commission and the Indigenous Affairs Commission.

Celestino Aos Braco was born in the province of Navarra in Spain on April 6, 1945. Studied philosophy in Zaragoza and theology in Pamplona. He took eternal vows in the Order of the Brothers of the Lesser Capuchins on September 16, 1967 in Pamplona. He was ordained a presbyter on March 30, 1968, after which he served as a priest in Spain. Received a degree in psychology from the University of Barcelona in 1980. In 1980-1981 he received a fellowship for research work in the field of psychology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Back in Spain, he was a professor in Pamplona and a curate in Zaragoza.In 1983 he was transferred to Chile, where, two years later, he was elected head of the Capuchin community in Los Angeles, and then became the bishop’s vicar of the Diocese of Valparaiso.

Cornelius Sim was born in Serie, Brunei on September 16, 1951.He is of Chinese and Dusun ancestry. He studied at a Catholic school, but after graduation he moved away from the Church. He earned an engineering degree in Scotland before returning to Brunei and working at the Brunei LPG plant from 1978 to 1985. During this period he returned to the Church, drawing close to the Catholic Charismatic Renewal community. In 1988, he received his Master’s degree in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville in the United States, after which he returned to Brunei and worked as an administrator at the Church of St. John in Kuala Belait until his ordination to the deacon on May 28, 1989.He was next ordained a presbyter (November 26, 1989), becoming the first Catholic priest from this small, wealthy, Muslim state with a population of about 500 thousand people, which has no diplomatic relations with the Holy See.

Born in Rome on July 1, 1964. He studied at the Higher Pontifical Seminary in Rome, and received a diploma in theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in 1988. He was ordained a presbyter on May 6, 1989 by Cardinal Hugo Poletti.Then he served as a parish priest and, in parallel, as a spiritual mentor at the Higher Pontifical Seminary (from 2005 to 2014). Since 2006 he has been dealing with the problems of migrants.

Born on October 27, 1965 in Castel San Pietro Terme (Bologna), after receiving a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Bologna in September 1992, he joined the Order of the Franciscans – Conventual Brothers Lesser. He took eternal vows on September 20, 1998. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in theology in Perugia and a licentiate in theological anthropology in Florence.Ordained to the priesthood on January 8, 2000. After that, he was engaged in youth ministry in the Emilia-Romagna region, until he was elected head of the Franciscans in the province of Bologna in 2009. On February 2, 2013, the Order appointed him Custodian of the main Franciscan monastery of Sacro Convento in Assisi for a four-year term from 2013 to 2017. He was re-elected to this position in 2017, but left it ahead of schedule, on November 12, 2020, in connection with the appointment of a cardinal. Born on May 1, 1940 in Coatepec Harinas, Mexico. He graduated from a philosophy course in Toluca, a theology course from the Pontifical University of Salamanca (Spain). Received a licentiate in dogmatic theology, then also specialized in liturgy. Ordained to the priesthood on August 25, 1963 in the diocese of Toluca, after which he served as vicar in three different parishes (1963, 1964-1966, 1966-1967), taught at the seminary (1963-1964), was the rector of the parish (1967-1969), spiritual mentor and teacher of the junior seminary (1969-1981), rector of the seminary (1981-1991), professor of liturgy and pastoral theology.

On 7 February 1991, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Tapachula. Received episcopal consecration on March 7, 1991 from Archbishop Girolamo Pridgione. On March 31, 2000, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of San Cristobal de las Casas. In this capacity, he made efforts to translate the Catholic Liturgy and the Bible into the language of the indigenous peoples. On May 1, 2015, Arismendi submitted his resignation letter to Pope Francis, but he asked him to remain in office and accepted his resignation only on November 3, 2017.

Born on October 12, 1940 in Casoni di Mussolente (Italy). He was educated in Italy and the USA. He was ordained a priest on May 31, 1965. Founded the Center for Migration Research and the quarterly magazine International Migration Review. He was the rector of his own religious congregation.

From 1989 to 1996, he served as Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Pastoral Care for Migrants and Travelers. On June 27, 1996, he was appointed titular Bishop of Cercina and sent as an apostolic nuncio to Ethiopia, Eritrea and as an observer to the African Union.On April 24, 1999, he was appointed Archbishop of Asolo, and on December 23, 2000, Apostolic Nuncio in Jubouti. On June 10, 2003, he was appointed Permanent Observer from the Holy See to the UN and the World Trade Organization (WTO). Performed this work until February 13, 2016. On April 9, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him a member of the former Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, now the Dicasteria for the Promotion of Holistic Human Development.

Born in Colli del Tronto, Italy on July 22, 1934. Ordained as a priest in the Order of the Lesser Brothers of the Capuchins in 1958. He holds doctorates in theology and classical literature. Previously taught the history of Christianity and headed the Department of Religious Sciences at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan. He retired in 1979. From 1975 to 1981 he was a member of the International Theological Commission. In 1980, Pope John Paul II appointed him preacher of the Papal House; Pope Benedict XVI reaffirmed him in this office in 2005, and on July 18, 2013, he was re-approved by Pope Francis for this ministry.All these years he has been conducting spiritual exercises for the Pontiff and the Roman Curia every Advent and Lent. Father Cantalamessa is the author of a number of books on theological and spiritual topics. His books have been translated into 20 languages.

Born August 27, 1940 in Pizzoli. He entered the Pontifical Junior Seminary in Rome at the age of eleven, then continued his studies at the Higher Pontifical Seminary. Ordained to the priesthood on March 13, 1965, for one year he was assistant to the Pontifical Junior Seminary, and then (1966-68) – to the Higher Seminary. Bambata’s listeners were as open-minded as he was, and if anyone showed musical snobbery, the DJ willingly acted out those DJs: he started a little-known track, and then happily announced that they had just danced to Beatles or Monkees .(For the more curious, we inform you that Bam played a drum piece from ‘ Sergeant Pepper ‘ s Lonely Hearts Club Band ‘and a piece of the song’ Mary, Mary ‘by Monkees with the words’ Mary, Mary, Where are you going ‘.) Taped TV screensavers and commercials, Hare Krishna chants, music Siouxsie And The Banshees, Flying Lizards and even Gary Newman ( Gary Numan ) flew out of its sound system.

Harlem entrepreneur Paul Winley ( Paul Winley ) has released a series of breakbeat compilations (i.e. albums of songs with interesting breaks) titled Super Disco Breaks . They sounded lousy as they were recorded directly from records from his collection. Others, such as Lenny Roberts Bootleg , offered higher quality products. Stanley Platzer ( Stanley Platzer ) (also known as Fat Stanley, King of the Beats [143]) of Music Factory in Times Square, on his instructions, wrote down the names of all songs that customers asked in his notebook.The Ultimate Breaks and Beats album series from Lenny’s Street Beat Records has grown to more than twenty releases. Many followed his example and began to meet the demand for tracks that at that time fell into the range from “expensive” to “unavailable”.

Bambata not only traveled to buy vinyl in New Jersey and Connecticut, but also took a very important step: he joined all the phonogram pools – cooperatives of DJs who grew up in the disco scene through which the labels advertised their dance products.At first, few had heard of them in the Bronx.
