S. GIRLS HOCKEY: Top 10 rankings
Last ranking in parentheses. Note: this is a pound-for-pound poll.
1. Canton (1) – The Bulldogs are in the middle of a three-week break. Canton started strong by winning its four four games in blowout fashion. The Bulldogs are scheduled to return to the ice for the first time since Jan. 13 on Wednesday against Boston Latin Academy.
2. Duxbury (2) – Through nine games, the only “blemish” on Duxbury’s record is a 3-3 tie with a solid Hingham squad in their third meeting. The Dragons have not allowed a goal in five of their nine games. Duxbury has some tough games down the stretch.
3. Notre Dame Academy (3) – The Cougars had to wait 18 days to play their second game. After defeating Hingham, 6-0, on Jan. 9, NDA and the Harborwomen played to a 3-3 tie on Wednesday.
4. Pembroke (5) – Since falling to No. 2 Duxbury in the season opener, Pembroke has rattled off seven consecutive wins. From eighth graders to seniors, the Titans have received contributions from every class this season. In Wednesday’s 4-2 win over Cohasset/Hanover, senior Miranda DeMita and eighth grader Jennifer Birolini scored two goals apiece. On Wednesday, Pembroke hosts Quincy/North Quincy in a battle between two teams that have really heated up as of late.
5. Quincy/North Quincy (6) – Q/NQ has had reason for joy of late. Thanks to an explosive offense, the team is off to a 5-1-1 start. Orla O’Driscoll became the fifth player in program history to join the 100-point club and she’s only a junior. Sophomore Maggie Lynch will join her on that list shortly. Following Monday’s game, she was up to 86 career points.
6. Hingham (8) – The record, 2-4-3, isn’t all that impressive, but it’s clear that Hingham is one of the fastest improving teams in the area. After taking losses early in the season to two of our top-ranked teams in NDA and Duxbury, the Harborwomen bounced back and played those teams to ties. Look for Hingham to finish the season strong.
7. Mansfield/Oliver Ames/Foxboro (10) – The Warriors have won three games in a row after opening the season with a tie and a loss. MOA/F is averaging over five goals per game during that streak.
8. Norwell (9) – It’s been an up-and-down season for the Clippers, who haven’t played since Jan. 16, but there’s still room to end the season on a high note. With games against NDA and Hingham remaining, there are tough tests left on the schedule.
9. Braintree (4) – Goals have been hard to come by this season for the Wamps, but they’ve played in competitive games all season.
10. Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake (7) – You’d be hard-pressed to find a team that’s been unluckier this fall. WH/SL skated to a 4-4 tie with Q/NQ on Jan. 2 and since then seven postponements have followed. The team is hoping to get back on the ice soon.
90,000 The girl wants to return the Hyundai Tucson, which tried to kill her – the Russian newspaper
Eric Mesa, who lives in Canada, bought in the summer of 2019 from a Hyundai Tucson dealer. During operation, the car made an emergency attempt to brake four times, the last incident, which happened in February, pissed off the girl: the car stopped in seconds at a speed of 120 km / h.
The first incident happened three months after the purchase: Erica was driving along the highway with passengers, when suddenly Tucson decided to automatically brake for no apparent reason. After that, the woman drove the crossover for another week, but still decided to contact the dealer, who assured that the problem was solved, explaining this by a random circumstance that affected the sensor.
However, two months after the first incident and the visit to the dealer, the crossover again decided to activate emergency braking. In the service center, the problem was seen in the accumulation of moisture, which created for the sensor the illusion of an object in the path of the car. This time around, Erica was guaranteed that her Tucson would no longer automatically brake for no reason.
Erica really didn’t know any problems until February 2021, when she was driving on the highway, and the crossover braked urgently again.
“I was driving at a speed of 120 km / h, and in seconds the car stood rooted to the spot,” CTV News quoted Mesa as saying. “I thought I would die!”
The car was taken to another dealer, who replaced the neutral switch (inhibitor switch), after which, according to a representative of Hyundai Canada, the girl’s car passed a series of comprehensive tests and no longer poses a threat to Mesa or other road users.
Mesa says that driving this car is out of the question, because the incident caused her serious injury, and she does not want to risk her life.
The girl intends to return the money for the car she bought in 2019 ($ 47,000), but Hyundai Canada refuses to refund the full amount. The company agrees to exchange the car for a similar model with a surcharge of $ 21,000.
A girl from Tyumen fled from her family to Yekaterinburg. They tried to kidnap her directly from the police

A resident of Tyumen Milana Magomedova fled from her parents to Yekaterinburg due to domestic violence As the girl’s lawyer Fyodor Akchermyshev told Znak.com, after that, the girl’s relatives – representatives of Dagestan nationality – wrote a statement about the abduction against the lawyer. When, together with his trustee, the lawyer came to the police department in Yekaterinburg, soon unknown men arrived there and tried to take Milana straight from the police station.Akchermyshev is sure that it was the police who told these people where she was.
Fyodor Akchermyshev and Milana Magomedov provided by attorney
Milana Magomedova 22 years old. She is from a Dagestan family, but lived in Tyumen. According to Akchermyshev, on February 10, she left Tyumen, as at home she was “systematically mocked on ethnic grounds” and “forbidden to lead a normal life.”
After that, the relatives filed a complaint with the police about the girl’s abduction by her lawyer.
“Operatives from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs accepted her mother’s statement about bringing criminal charges against me.Allegedly, with two people I kidnapped my client from a psychiatric hospital in Tyumen and influence her, including with the help of psychotropic substances, and also try to involve her in slavery and in an organization banned on the territory of the Russian Federation, ”retells the essence of the statement Akchermyshev …
The girl herself claims that she left Tyumen voluntarily, no one kidnapped her.
The day before, on March 24, the lawyer, together with his client, Milana, came to the police department to file a statement about the loss of the girl’s documents: her family had her passport in Tyumen. From the media Akchermyshev learned that when he was inside the department, unknown persons of Caucasian nationality drove up to the building. The men’s cars had Dagestan and Tyumen numbers.
“We were waiting for them to leave. But the majors from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sverdlovsk Region brought them with them to the premises. There a Dagestani attacked me. Directly in the office, where a civilian cannot go by anyone’s invitation. He came with operatives. They contributed to the attack on me. There is a threat to the health and life of both me and my client, ”says the lawyer.
According to Akchermyshev, he had to defend himself, as the police were inactive. “He dragged me out of the office into the corridor by force, and from there he tried to pull me up to the floor. I called to go outside. I understood that the diaspora was standing there, pushed him away by force and returned to the office, where I closed the door behind me. [And only at that moment] the policemen have already intervened. But this is how I defended myself against him. Before the eyes of the majors, I was attacked in the office by another citizen. It is safer to feel on the street than in the office of a police department, ”the human rights activist argues.
According to the lawyer, the police helped men to find the girl who could harm her.
“We indicated in the statement that [Milana’s] personal data is only for police officers, but on the fourth day, Milana’s parents call me and threaten me. They ask me to refuse to provide legal assistance, ”says Akchermyshev and adds that Milana was not wanted.
In Yekaterinburg, the lawyer and his client hid in the police department, fearing reprisals
According to the human rights activist, Milana’s mother spreads false information, and the lawyer asked the police to stop communicating with her, since there was no kidnapping of the girl, which she herself confirms …
E1 journalists, who at that moment were at the base station # 7, tried to communicate with the men who came for Milan, but they refused to comment. The girl herself says that she does not know the person who went to the police department and had a conflict with the lawyer.
The media relations department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Yekaterinburg told Znak.com that no application was received from the lawyer and his client. That’s all they can explain for now.
Znak commented on the situation in more detail.com the head of the press service of the Sverdlovsk headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Valery Gorelykh. “At present, a check is being carried out on this frankly difficult situation. It is established every second how the events took place in the territorial police department, which of the employees performed their official duties in the prescribed manner, and who vice versa. Eyewitnesses are being interviewed. Based on the results, an objective assessment of the actions or inaction of officials will be given, “Colonel Gorelykh noted.

details of the case of the kidnapping of a girl in Saratov became known (everything is ambiguous there) – IA “Versia-Saratov”
In Saratov, the investigation into the kidnapping of a girl in the city center continues. According to the investigation, the crime took place on October 23, 2020 near one of the houses on Moskovskaya Street. As previously reported by representatives of the regional Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee, three young people (an 18-year-old boy and previously convicted 19-year-old and 20-year-old residents of the city) kidnapped a 19-year-old girl.
In the fall of last year, investigators stated that the attackers had brought their victim to a house on Tankistov Street. There they kept her indoors for 24 hours. The prisoner allegedly waited until the kidnappers fell asleep and managed to find her mobile phone, which had previously been taken away from her. She called a friend, and he called the police to the place.
As a result, the law enforcement officers released the girl and detained three young people. On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (point “a”, part 2) – abduction of a person committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy. All defendants have already been charged. They face 5 to 12 years in prison.
Earlier, the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Saratov Region reported that the detainees had admitted their guilt for what they had done and were arrested by the court on October 28, 2020. Later, the term of their detention during the investigation was extended.
As the correspondent of our publication managed to find out, in December 2020, a fourth person involved appeared in this case. For some reason, the investigators did not tell the public about him. Although before that, two releases on the official website of the regional Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee were devoted to the case of the abduction of a young resident of Saratov – on October 26 and 28.
Meanwhile, it is this fourth person who is now assigned the role of the organizer of the abduction. He himself is trying to get out of the pre-trial detention center through the court in order to spend the period of investigation in his mother’s apartment under house arrest. Thanks to these attempts, described in the court file, we were able to find out new details of the kidnapping story.
We are talking about a resident of the regional center Alexei Ionov. According to the ministers of Themis, he was arrested on December 2, 2020 – more than a month after the capture of the three alleged kidnappers. On the same day, he was charged under paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Art. 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Since then, Ionov has been unsuccessfully trying to appeal against the detention.
For the last time, the detention of Ionov in the pre-trial detention center was extended by the decision of the Kirovsky District Court until March 25, 2021 inclusive. The man, through his lawyer, Abil Rzayev, in February of this year tried to appeal against the arrest in the Saratov Regional Court.
The defender said that the parents of Aleksey Ionov are pensioners and are at the detainee’s dependents. In court, Rzayev expressed the opinion that the accusation presented does not contain evidence of Ionov’s participation in the kidnapping of the girl, and evidence that the crime was committed in principle. Based on this, the lawyer asked to release the man under house arrest during the investigation.
Nevertheless, the court sided with the investigation. Themis’ servants indicated that Ionov was accused of committing an especially grave crime, had previously been convicted and was not officially employed.
“From the testimony of the victim it follows that she fears for her life and health. In this connection, the court came to the conclusion that, while at large, Ionov, under the weight of the charges brought against him, may hide from the investigation and court, or otherwise interfere with the criminal proceedings, ”the regional court noted.
Representatives of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Saratov Region could not promptly comment on the appearance of the fourth accused in the kidnapping case to our publication. Ionov’s lawyer Abil Rzayev shared his position with the Versia-Saratov news agency. He said that the detainee worked as a taxi driver and allegedly just gave a ride to his acquaintances on October 23.
“I think that the investigation was approaching the end of the term, so it was decided to detain Ionov in order to prolong the investigation once again. After all, before that, everyone knew perfectly well what car they were traveling with that day with this girl. But no one touched him, he calmly continued to live in Saratov, was a taxi driver. And now they suddenly make him the organizer of the kidnapping.
All the detainees now testify that it was Ionov who allegedly asked them to detain the girl and load her into the car.According to my information, they were promised that everyone would be allowed to go home. He and the state lawyers signed everything that the investigator “drew”. I don’t think they even read what they signed. The fact is that all three are graduates or students of a special school. They are not recognized as insane, but with some developmental peculiarities. So they made a “gang of thugs” in this way, as they reported everywhere later.
At the same time, the victim had a phone in her hands all night. She was not deprived of the opportunity to calmly leave the apartment and leave. She corresponded with her friends all night. They asked her: why are you sitting there? And she answered: I have nowhere to sleep. All this correspondence is on the VKontakte social network. I do not know why the investigation insists on Article 126.
In theory, the case should have been brought to court long ago, if not for these oddities. It was initiated back in October 2020, and now it is March 2021. Five months have passed. Although, it would seem, everything should be obvious. The person was allegedly kidnapped, the kidnappers were detained …
The victim is 23-24 years old.Not 19 years old, as the investigators wrote. I don’t know where they got this age from. She is the same age as these guys. This is their get-together – from 22 to 24 years old. They all knew each other.
They picked her up at the bus station. If it had been a kidnapping, would she probably have screamed? How can this be done discreetly in such a crowded place? Moreover, on the way, they stopped at a bank to withdraw money to buy alcohol. She herself went to the ATM – withdrew money from her card. They also took off theirs. At the same time, something did not work out there, she approached the operator of Sberbank, asked to see what was wrong with the card.
Ionov drove them, and therefore turned into the organizer of the kidnapping. I would not be surprised if in half a month they will have a new version, according to which the bank operator will become the organizer of the kidnapping. After all, it will be necessary to extend the term of the investigation again. They have already reported everywhere that they had solved a particularly important crime, carried out according to all reports, orders-medals, probably, have earned, but there is no result, ”the lawyer said.
Also, according to Rzayev, the investigators allegedly have no answer to the question: for what purpose was the abduction carried out.
“Usually kidnapped for what? To hide the traces of a previous crime, to get a ransom or something else. I know of cases when people were really tied up, thrown into the trunk of a car, locked in a basement, from where they somehow got out and called for help. And here the person had many opportunities to just leave, but he did not. Such is the “abduction of the century”. Unfortunately, in Saratov now, most of the cases are like this, ”the interlocutor emphasized.
We will continue to monitor developments.

90,000 what is known about the brutal murder of a girl and her little brother in the Kuban – RT in Russian
In the Krasnodar Territory, the Investigative Committee is investigating a brutal double murder. According to the investigation, the 32-year-old resident of Armavir first dealt with his 26-year-old girlfriend by recording a video explaining the reasons for the crime, and then went to a neighboring village and killed her nine-year-old brother.Law enforcers found the suspect’s car, he himself managed to escape.
The investigative bodies of the Krasnodar Territory opened a criminal case against the 32-year-old resident of Armavir Akshin Huseynov. He is suspected of murdering his 26-year-old girlfriend V. and her nine-year-old brother. As noted in the Investigation Department of the RF IC for the Krasnodar Territory, a crime qualified under Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, was committed with particular cruelty.
According to the acquaintances of Akshin and V., the young people lived in a rented apartment in one of the houses on Rosa Luxemburg Street in Armavir.
According to the investigation, in the afternoon of December 10, a conflict occurred between them on the basis of jealousy. “During the quarrel, the attacker inflicted many blows on the opponent’s head, killing her, and then moved the body of the deceased into the bathtub,” the regional Investigative Committee said in a statement.
Then Huseynov recorded an almost ten-minute video in which he explained the motives of his act. From time to time, the body of V. appears in the frame. The suspect mockingly accompanies the frames with a shout: “Selfie!”
Akshin claims that the conflict began when they “lay peacefully in bed” and discussed a joint future.According to him, V. on December 3 confessed to him that she had cheated with another for almost four months, as she “considered herself a free girl.” At the same time, as Huseynov said, he killed her “in a fit of anger,” “not because of treason, but because he understood that there was no way back,” fearing that after the first blow V. would tell his mother everything. The suspect added that he intended to break “all fingers” of his girlfriend’s younger brother and strangle him.
Huseynov sent the taken photos and videos to the administrators of the Telegram news channel, and he himself went to the Novoalekseevskaya village of the Kurganinsky district in a black Chevrolet Lacetti. There he murdered V.’s nine-year-old brother with particular cruelty.
As the man himself said in the second video, he “had been thinking about murder for a long time, but wanted to kill not her (V. – RT ), but her brother. He makes me very angry. ”
After that, the suspect arrived in the village of Dzhubga, Tuapse region, where he left his car near the sea and disappeared. Investigators examined the car. Huseynov himself has not yet been found.
According to I. about. Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory Andrey Maslov, the investigation is considering two versions of what happened. According to one of them, the alleged killer could have committed suicide. According to the second version, it was a staging, and the killer himself may be hiding, so another group of investigators and operatives is sent to find the man.
“Shocked”
About V. is known to have worked in a local shoe and accessories store. Mom V. and D. works as a head teacher at the Cossack school of Armavir, the grandmother of the victims Galina told RT.
At the same time, the head of the Novoalekseevsky rural settlement, Vitaly Pokusailov, told TASS that the mother of the murdered was working as an operator at a gas station. At the time of the murder, she was at work, the child was in the house alone. The family is not registered as dysfunctional, the woman raised the children herself, their father does not live with them.
Akshin owned a paintball club and, according to local media reports, was involved in the construction and production of goods for parties, carnivals and “other items for entertainment.” Previously, he was not prosecuted for committing any offenses.
The paintball club is located on the territory of the Urup recreation center. The administrator told RT that she saw the man a couple of times in a year and a half: “We never crossed paths with him at our recreation center, because the entrances to his paintball field and to us are completely different. Yes, he rented the territory from us, but it just adjoins the base. I rarely came here, and when the coronavirus came, the games stopped. In the summer, maybe we played a couple of times. When I found out about what had happened, I was just shocked. ”
Family and friends of the deceased cannot recover from the shock. “Honey, she was so thin,” her grandmother says, crying.
“V. was a very good girl, pleasant to talk to. We used to be colleagues, then she left for another place, “Angelina Semenenko, an acquaintance of the deceased, told RT.
His acquaintances cannot believe Huseynov’s act either. “He was an adequate person. And my friends worked with him, since he had an airsoft base. I have not heard any complaints from them, ”says Lev Sidorkovich, Akshin’s acquaintance.
Death on the air
Recall that on the evening of December 1, 27-year-old Valentina Grigorieva died in the Moscow region during a stream hosted by 30-year-old blogger Stas Reshetnikov.Earlier, he told the audience that he hit the girl, and then kicked the girl out into the cold in her underwear, “so that she does not stink,” and did not let her go home, despite her requests. At the same time, the blogger did not interrupt the broadcast, while he carried the body of the frozen Grigorieva into the house and waited for an ambulance, and periodically turned on sad music and drank from the throat of the bottle.
Reshetnikov’s live broadcast lasted more than two hours, the blogger turned it off only when the police arrived at the scene. A criminal case was initiated against the man under Part 4 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, resulting in death”).
Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology of the Scientific Center for Psychological Health of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences Sergey Enikolopov considers the murder on the air or on video a reaction to the demands of modern society, which welcomes such things. According to him, “this is how you can get your piece of fame. Here self-denunciation turns out when the criminal fixes his crime and helps the investigator. But the desire for fame outweighs. ”
Enikolopov noted that earlier schoolchildren beat their classmates and filmed it.The murder on video is a logical continuation of this series. “It is important for a person that it will collect a lot of views and likes. For streamers, this is also monetization. We are seeing a trend that it is becoming fashionable to commit crimes on video or live. Everything that was previously considered taboo and bad is now becoming unjustified, “the expert notes in a conversation with RT.
