In the Moscow City Duma, in order to prevent road accidents at stops of ground public transport in Moscow, it was proposed to put parking pockets and high curbs.The proposal was initiated by Andrey Shibaev, Deputy Chairman of the MHD Commission on Security. The proposed innovations should protect people waiting for transport at stops from accidents associated with collisions with cars. The initiative will be sent to the capital’s departments of transport and housing and communal services for consideration.

According to the capital’s parliamentarian, parking pockets for buses, coupled with high curbs, will improve safety and make it impossible for a car to leave the road.It can be some elements in the form of small architectural forms – flower beds and the like. At the same time, Shibaev emphasized that this optimal decision should be made by specialists. He also added that he considers it necessary to discuss this issue with the expert community, including at the sites of state authorities, in the Moscow City Duma.

Andrey Shibaev, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow City Duma Commission on Security, proposed to build parking pockets and high curbs at stops of ground public transport in Moscow to prevent accidents associated with car collisions with passengers.He reported this to the Moscow City News Agency.

“In my opinion, the development of an engineering arrangement for public transport stops using uniform standards that could make it impossible for a car to leave the road will help to improve safety.
