>Wood-hammer can be learned via move re-learner. The Move Relearner is found in the house north-east of the Pokémart and will teach your Pokémon moves in its level-up that it could have learned at lower levels. He charges you one Heart Scale per move.

>Rock Slide can be found at Mt. Coronet. Upon entering the cave from the Eterna City side, proceed north and use the ladder to get on the first ledge you see, without using Rock Smash. Take the stairs to get off the ledge, proceed left, and move further up until you hit the wall. Use Surf on the patch of water in front of you. Follow the path and use Rock Climb. Take the stairs up and turn left as soon as you’re able to. Use Strength and move the boulder in front of you until you can use the stairs. Head north and cross the bridge. Walk until you reach the TM for Rock Slide.

>Stone Edge can be found at Victory Road. The TM for Stone Edge is at the end of the third set of bike ramps in Victory Road.

>Earthquake can be learned at lvl.32 or can be found at Wayward Cave. In the hidden area of Wayward Cave that’s under the Cycling Road, go through the puzzle to get to the hidden room. In that hidden room, you’ll find the TM for Earthquake.

>Dark Pulse can be found at Victory Road. The TM is in a room on the second floor. To get there, you must enter from the northwest door on the first floor. Upon entering the cave, use Rock Climb and then head left. Follow the path and use Rock Climb again. Make your way to the second floor and use Strength to get to the TM for Dark Pulse.

>Solar Beam can be found at Veilstone City. On the third floor in the Veilstone Department Store, the bottom cashier sells the TM for SolarBeam for 3,000 Poké Dollars.

>Shadow Ball can be found at Route 210. In the foggy area of Route 210, there are two logs that you can cross with your Bicycle. At the end of that path, you will find the TM for Shadow Ball; it requires Rock Smash.

Its movepool is kinda bad, learning a good STAB move very late (Thunder at lvl.71) and not having access to Thunderbolt or atleast Shock Wave, it also doesn’t have a good coverage move

What is a good in-game team for Diamond and Pearl?

Let me provide a team for each starter.

Infernape team: [Infernape, Floatzel, Staraptor, Luxray, Hippowdon / Garchomp, Roserade]
Empoleon team: [Empoleon, Staraptor, Rapidash, Raichu, Hippowdon / Garchomp, Weavile]
Torterra team: [Torterra, Floatzel, Staraptor, Rapidash, Raichu, Weavile]

[The options for ground types depending upon the availability of Earthquake TM, i.e. if you can gain momentum and jump off the particular ledge in Wayward Cave]

Fire types:

Infernape
Ability: Blaze
– Flare Blitz / Fire Blast / Flamethrower
– Close Combat / Focus Blast
– Grass Knot
– Shadow Claw

Infernape is a starter. Pick Chimchar from Rowan’s suitcase if you want Infernape. It can learn Close Combat and Flare Blitz by Level up (41 and 57 Respectively). Fire Blast and Flamethrower are TMs which can be used until he learns Flare Blitz. Use focus Blast if you want a Special Alternative, but it has low accuracy. Grass knot and Shadow Claw are coverages and are TMs.

Rapidash
Ability: Run Away / Flash Fire
– Flare Blitz / Fire Blast / Flamethrower
– Bounce
– Sunny Day
– Solar Beam

I wouldn’t recommend you to use this ‘mon. Since there are only two Fire types in DP, you might need him. Flare Blitz and Bounce are learnt by level up (level 58 and 49 respectively). Fire Blast and Flamethrower are TMs which can be used until he learns Flare Blitz. Sunny Day is just a filler and Solar Beam is for coverages (and are TMs).

Water types:

Empoleon
Ability: Torrent

– Drill Peck
– Flash Cannon

Surf and Waterfall are useful HMs. Drill Peck for Coverage and is learnt at level 52. Flash Cannon is TM.

Floatzel @
Ability: Swift Swim

– Waterfall
– Ice Beam / Ice Punch
– Crunch

Surf and Waterfall are HMs. Ice Beam is TM and Ice Punch is from Move Tutor, choose whichever is easy to obtain, it is for coverage. Crunch is neutral Coverage and is learnt at level 26.

Grass types:

Torterra
Ability: Overgrow
– Wood Hammer
– Earthquake
– Crunch
– Leech Seed

Wood Hammer is STAB and requires Heart Scale to obtain it. Crunch is neutral coverage and is learnt at level 45. Earthquake is Stab and is learnt at level 32 and Leech Seed for Bulky ‘mons and is learnt at level 33.

Roserade
Ability: Nature Cure
– Petal Dance / Grass Knot
– Shadow Ball
– Sludge Bomb
– Leech Seed / Giga Drain

Petal Dance, Sludge Bomb and grass knot are Stab. Petal Dance learnt at lvl 40 as Roselia. Shadow Ball is for Coverage. Leech Seed is for Bulky ‘mons and Giga Drain heals you often.

Flyer:

Staraptor @ Shell Bell
Ability: Intimidate
– Brave Bird
– Close Combat
– Roost / Defog
– Fly

Brave Bird and Close Combat are mandatory for this beast, learnt at level 49 and 34 respectively. Fly and Defog are HMs, and Roost is to heal you often. Shell Bell is located in Hearthome City.

Electric types:

Luxray
Ability: Intimidate / Rivalry
– Charge
– Spark / Thunder Fang
– Crunch
– Thunderbolt / Scary Face

Charge is to raise SpD and double the damage of Electric moves, learnt at level 9. Crunch is neutral coverage, learnt at level 35. Spark and Thunder Fang are good physical electric moves, learnt at level 18 and 42 respectively. Thunderbolt if you want high power electric move and Scary Face to help its poor Speed.

Raichu
Ability: Static
– Thunderbolt
– Strength
– Grass Knot
– Whatever TM

Thunderbolt is Stab and learnt at level 26. Strength is a HM. Grass Knot is Ground coverage. The last slot is of your choice.

Ground types:

Hippowdon

– Fire Fang / Rock Slide / Rock Tomb / Stone Edge

Crunch, again, is neutral coverage move. Earthquake is STAB and is learnt at level 40. Yawn puts the foe to sleep, learnt at level 13. Fire Fang requires Heart Scale, and the rest are TMs, which are coverage.

Garchomp

Weavile

Ice Shard is Priority (doesn’t matter since he is already fast), and the only Ice stab, learnt at level 49 as Sneasel. Night Slash is Stab, learnt at level 35 as Weavile. Thief is 60 base power TM which you can use. Slash is high crit hit, is neutral coverage, learnt at level 35. X Scissor is just neutral coverage and is a TM. Brick Break is for coverage and is a TM.

Strategy

Byron’s team makes it hard to choose a single Pokémon that can sweep each member of his team. Luckily, there’s one that fits the bill: Gastrodon (found as Shellos on Routes 205 & 218). If you raise a Shellos high enough to learn Earth Power (Lv. 35) or evolve it and have Gastrodon learn it (Lv. 39), you’ll have a powerhouse that won’t have a problem facing part Rock-type Pokémon (that would destroy Fire-types) or part Psychic-type Pokémon (that would decimate Fighting-types).

Elite 4

The Elite 4 and Champion of Sinnoh are not to be taken lightly. Since you cannot switch Pokémon while challenging them, we will only give general advice for defeating them. We recommend leveling your Pokémon to at least 60 and carrying plenty of restorative items and revives so that you can take on each battle fully refreshed.

Fire-, Grass- and Water-type Pokémon will all prove very useful. Make sure that your team also knows Dark-, Bug- or Ghost-type attacks to take care of Lucian. Fighting- and Ice-type attacks can also be helpful. Good luck ?

Guide to Handling the HMs

As you make your way through the Sinnoh region in Pokemon Platinum, you will often find your route blocked by one obstacle or another. Barriers like boulders, trees, sleeping pokemon, and bodies of water help to guide your way, making sure that you don’t move too quickly through the game and preventing you from missing important things like gym badges.

To get past these obstacles, more often than not, you will need a HM, or Hidden Machine, that will teach your pokemon a special move that can overcome the barrier. HM techniques, however, cannot be deleted. The reason for this is to prevent you from trapping yourself in game somewhere. For example, if you used Rock Smash to progress in a cave and later on forgot Rock Smash to learn a different move, you might find yourself stuck in the middle of the cave with no way out. Thus, HM moves can only be deleted by visiting a special character in game.

However, this means that HM moves can take up one of the valuable four moves that each pokemon can learn. Most HM moves aren’t that powerful and you don’t want your best pokemon to be stuck with a bad moveset. This guide will separate the good moves from the terrible and help you pick a travel companion that can hold all the important HM moves.

Rock Smash

HM06 is the first HM you will get, picking it up from the hiker at Oreburgh Gate. Remember that you cannot use a HM move until you have beaten the corresponding gym for it, so don’t bother trying to go through the cave until you have your first badge. Rock Smash is a fighting type move but its power is not that great, though it does have the ability to sometimes lower your opponent’s defense. You will need it a few times while travelling, especially near the start of the game, so keep a pokemon with this ability. Do not use it in online battles.

Cut

HM01 is a familiar HM to Pokemon veterans, having been around since the first Pokemon game. The power of this normal type move, like Rock Smash, is not good, so do not use it in battles unless you really have to. Outside of battle, it will cut the small trees that you see all over the world map, giving you access to small, special areas. It is a good idea to travel with this move in hand.

De Fog

HM05 is generally useless, both in battle and out. If you don’t mind stumbling around a lot, then you don’t even need it. However, to avoid stress and frustration, you might as well take it along with you into foggy areas. In battle, using De Fog will help you to hit evasive opponents, which is not that useful at all.

Fly

HM02 is a unique HM, as you do not really need to have a pokemon with it on your team at all times since you decide when to use it (as opposed to the game map forcing you to use the other HM moves). However, Fly is very useful, especially if you like to travel a lot. It is also a fairly decent Flying type attack that deals a good amount of damage. It is not a bad idea to give this move to a strong pokemon on your team, seeing how it is useful both in travelling and in battles. Just like in the first pokemon game, it is easy to miss this HM. You can find it in Team Galactic’s Warehouse in Veilstone City.

Surf

HM03 is another great HM to have. You will definitely be using it a lot outside of battle to travel over water. In terms of power, it is only a bit weaker than Hydro Pump, but is more accurate and comes with more PP. It is the equivalent of choosing to use Ice Beam instead of Blizzard. Most likely, you will have a water pokemon on your team. Don’t hesitate to give it Surf, you will be using it a lot, no matter the circumstances.

Strength

HM04 is the sixth HM you can get in Platinum. In terms of power, it is not too bad, but nothing to brag about either. If you have a normal or fighting pokemon that doesn’t have a good fourth move, you can use this to fill the void. Most of the later puzzles in the game will involve boulder pushing, so you will definitely need to have a pokemon with Strength on your travel team.

Rock Climb

HM08, despite being numbered eighth, is the second to last HM you will get. You will be using this move outside of battle a few important times throughout the game, so you will need to have it on your team. In terms of battle power, Rock Climb is actually a really good move. It has good power and may cause your opponent to become confused, which can hurt them even more. Unfortunately, the attack is not 100% reliable and it may miss every now and then.

Waterfall

HM07 is another water type HM move. Unfortunately, it is not as strong as Surf and, thus, not recommended for battles since it is a waste to give a strong pokemon two HM moves. You will need Waterfall to travel later on in the game, so do put it on a pokemon, just not one that you will be fighting with.

Your Travel Companions

If you have been catching every pokemon you come across, you should have a Bidoof and a Starly somewhere. They are extremely common and, in fact, you should have seen plenty of them on Route 201, the first route of the game. Between Bidoof and Starly, you should be able to make it through the first half of the game without any HM related problems as Bidoof can learn Rock Smash and Cut while Starly can learn Fly and De Fog. If you have time, level up your Bidoof and evolve it to Bibarel. You can also catch a Bibarel in the Great Marsh if you don’t want to waste experience points.

Bibarel is probably the best travel pokemon there is, as it can learn Rock Smash, Cut, Surf, Strength, Waterfall, and Rock Climb. The best moves to give it are Rock Smash, Cut, Strength, and Waterfall, since these are moves that are not that great in battle. Surf should be given to your main water pokemon that you battle with and Rock Climb can be given to your starter pokemon after it evolves for the final time, providing that you have a fourth move slot open.

If you managed to get a Pelipper, it can replace Starly in your line up, since it can learn Fly, De Fog and Surf. It can be found on most surf routes, but is fairly uncommon. If you can, try to get a Flygon, either from GTS or from a friend with the Diamond or Pearl version of Pokemon. In Diamond/Pearl, Trapinch and Vibrava can be found with the PokeRadar on Route 228 and they will evolve to Flygon. Flygon can learn Fly, Strength, De Fog, and Rock Smash. Although it is a bit of a waste to use Flygon just for HMs, between Flygon and Bibarel, you can have all eight HMs covered, which is very convenient and can make travelling less of a hassle.

Medals in Pokémon Go act as a form of in-game achievement system, cataloguing your many accomplishments from across the game.

You’ll be occasionally interrupted by full-screen prompts telling you about a Medal you’ve just unlocked as you play the game – not unlike the full-screen prompts you get when you increase a Trainer level – with the Medal tier you’ve just unlocked.

These Medals are not only stat-trackers, which record everything you do in the game – from the distance walked to the number of Pokémon Types you have caught – but are also give you a variety of bonuses and rewards.

In October 2016, earning type-based medals offered a Catch Bonus, while in November 2020, Platinum Medals – a fourth tier – for certain categories would help unlock certain Trainer Levels 40 and above was introduced as part of the Go Beyond update and Season of Celebration.

How does Pokémon Go’s Catch Bonus work?

To get started with Medals, you can view all your Medals by tapping your Trainer icon in the bottom left corner of the map screen and scrolling down.

The Medals screen is sorted into two sets; the upper set displaying ‘traditional’ Medal goals – such as distance walked and how many big Magikarp you’ve caught – which don’t give you any bonuses, and the lower set grouping together all the Medals by Type, which reward Catch Bonuses.

The higher the Medal, the stronger the Catch Bonus for that Type; Bronze is worth +1, Silver is +2 and Gold is +3.

If the Pokemon you’re facing has multiple types – such as the Flying / Normal Type Pidgey and its evolutions – then it’ll take the average of those two Catch Bonuses.

The question is, plus three what exactly? Well, that’s a bit of a mystery, and it currently has the Pokémon Go community scratching their heads.

The leading theory is it’s a percentage increase, which might not sound a lot, but if it’s for the base capture rate before bonuses from using more powerful Pokéballs and Razz Berrys are applied, it could be quite powerful for likes of Dragonite which are inherently tough to capture.

But in general, the Catch Bonus means the more Pokémon you catch, the higher your chances of catching Pokémon will be in the future, which is particularly handy when even low-level Pokémon become hard to grab at higher levels.

Other things you should know about Catch Bonus and Medals in Pokémon Go

• There are medals for attending Go Fest events throughout the year. These are required you to attend the event in question, provided you have a ticket, and remain in your account as a badge afterward. Each individual has an event, so for example, Chicago Go Fest will have unique entry for 2017, 2018, 2019 and so on.
• Some medals will only display once you’ve started working towards it. For example, ‘Pikachu’ won’t appear at all until you’ve caught your first Pikachu (if you want to start with a Pikachu in Pokémon Go, we have a handy guide for that), Wayfarer won’t appear until you start reviewing entries and so on. The same applies to various Types and other objectives in the game, too.
• Once you have unlocked a Medal, you can then tap it to see your progress until the next Medal tier. Once you reach Gold, the figure will keep tracking your progress, allowing you to see exactly how many tiny Ratattas or Normal-type Pokémon you’ve accumulated in your illustrious Trainer career.
• Fun fact – each Medal is named after Trainer classes in the main games (which are the characters you fight on Routes and in dungeons).
• Creatures received through Trading also contribute to Medal progress, including the size specific Medals Fisherman and Youngster.

The “Platinum” season ticket costs about 12 thousand euros, which is about 450 euros per match.And, what is most interesting, these tickets fly out in just five minutes. But we want to gather at our stadium both wealthy people, and those, I would not like to call them poor, who are not on the sunny side of life. Even an unemployed person can spend 7.5 euros on football, and we deliberately set such an affordable price.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge: Every home match of the Champions League brings us 2.5 million euros.In the Bundesliga, the amount is slightly lower, since the season tickets are slightly cheaper.

How to Rank Up

In Heroes of the Storm, a player’s skill level or rank is determined by their place in the league and division system.At the start of each season, you will need to play several qualifying matches to determine your starting rank. After the Diamond League, the Master and Elite ranks await you. These are the best of the best, and their intense epic battles shake the Nexus to its core. In these leagues, the rating process is different. Instead of divisions, the Master’s emblem indicates the number of points scored. The players with the most ranking points in the Nexus League are awarded the rank of Elite. Also, to get into the Master League, you need to complete the seasonal series of tasks. The emblem of the DM indicates the player’s place in the elite leaderboard of the respective region (information about the ratings is updated daily).If you are faced with a player ranked 3rd in the Elite League, then you are one of the top three players in the region.
