How can you get a good lacrosse stick without breaking the bank. What are some strategies for finding high-quality sticks at discounted prices. Why are older model advanced sticks often the best value for new players.
Understanding the Lacrosse Stick Market
The lacrosse equipment market can be overwhelming for parents and new players looking to purchase their first stick. With a wide range of options at various price points, it’s challenging to determine the best value. Many end up settling for basic starter packs, but there are better alternatives available with some savvy shopping.
Lacrosse gear follows typical product cycles, with manufacturers regularly releasing new “improved” models. However, these incremental upgrades don’t necessarily make previous versions obsolete. In fact, slightly older advanced-level sticks often provide the best combination of quality and affordability.
The Benefits of Buying Older Model Sticks
Purchasing an older model advanced stick offers several advantages:
- Higher quality than entry-level sticks
- Significantly discounted from original retail price
- Often cheaper than basic starter sticks
- Provides equipment comparable to what college players used recently
For example, top-of-the-line sticks that originally retailed for $150-$200 just a few years ago can now be found for $50-$80. This allows new players to start with high-performance equipment at an accessible price point.
Where to Find Discounted Quality Sticks
There are several great sources for finding older model sticks at steep discounts:
- Clearance racks at sporting goods stores
- Online marketplaces like eBay
- Lacrosse specialty retailers’ sale sections
- Used equipment exchanges
With some diligent searching, it’s possible to find complete sticks (head and shaft) or individual components at 50-75% off original prices. This allows you to build a custom setup with high-end parts for the same cost as an entry-level stick.
Examples of Discounted High-Quality Sticks
To illustrate the potential savings, here are some specific examples of discounted complete sticks:
- STX Rave 10 (Universal): Originally $200, now $59-$75
- STX AtTaK (Attack-focused): Originally $190, now $59
- STX Tilt2 10 (Universal): Originally $150, now $54
- STX Ntrance (Defense-focused): Now $39
These sticks provide performance on par with current top-end models at a fraction of the cost. For new players, they offer a significant upgrade over basic starter sticks without the premium price tag.
Customizing Your Stick Setup
Another advantage of shopping for discounted components is the ability to customize your stick. By purchasing the head and shaft separately, you can mix and match to create an optimal setup for your playing style and preferences.
For instance, you might pair a discounted high-end head with a more affordable shaft, or vice versa. This allows you to allocate your budget towards the components that matter most for your position and skill level.
The Importance of Proper Stringing
When buying stick components separately, it’s crucial to ensure proper stringing of the pocket. While you can learn to string yourself, many players opt to have their sticks professionally strung. This relatively small investment can significantly improve the stick’s performance and consistency.
For example, the author mentions sending discounted STX AtTaK heads to Taylor D’Amore Stringing for professional pocket setup. This combination of a high-quality discounted head with expert stringing results in a stick comparable to those used by top collegiate players.
Setting Realistic Budget Expectations
While it’s possible to find great deals, it’s important to set realistic budget expectations when shopping for a lacrosse stick. As a general guideline, plan to spend between $50 and $80 for a quality complete stick setup.
This budget allows you to avoid the limitations of the most basic entry-level sticks while still keeping costs reasonable. By focusing on discounted advanced models, you can get significantly better performance and durability within this price range compared to current entry-level options.
The Long-Term Benefits of Starting with Quality Equipment
Investing in a higher-quality stick from the outset can have several long-term benefits for new players:
- Easier to learn proper technique
- More consistent performance
- Greater durability
- Smoother transition as skills improve
- Potential cost savings by avoiding rapid upgrades
While it may seem tempting to start with the cheapest option available, this often leads to frustration and the need for early upgrades. A discounted advanced stick provides room for skill growth without becoming a limiting factor.
Navigating Brand Options and Technologies
The lacrosse equipment market features several major brands, each with their own proprietary technologies and design philosophies. When shopping for discounted sticks, it’s helpful to have a basic understanding of these differences.
Popular Lacrosse Stick Brands
Some of the most prominent lacrosse stick manufacturers include:
- STX
- Warrior
- Maverik
- Epoch
- StringKing
- ECD (East Coast Dyes)
Each brand offers a range of stick models designed for different playing styles, positions, and skill levels. When evaluating discounted options, research the original target audience and features of the stick to ensure it aligns with your needs.
Key Technological Advancements
Over the past decade, lacrosse stick technology has evolved significantly. Some key areas of advancement include:
- Lighter and stronger materials for both heads and shafts
- Improved head stiffness and durability
- Enhanced pocket designs for better ball control
- Ergonomic shaft shapes for improved grip and feel
While the latest models may offer incremental improvements in these areas, sticks from just a few years ago still provide excellent performance. The majority of technological leaps occurred earlier, making slightly older advanced sticks a sweet spot for value.
Choosing the Right Stick for Your Position and Style
When shopping for a discounted lacrosse stick, it’s important to consider your playing position and style. Different stick designs cater to the unique demands of various roles on the field.
Attack Sticks
Attack players typically prefer:
- Narrower head profile for quick release
- Lighter overall weight
- Mid to low pocket for ball control
Midfield Sticks
Midfielders often look for:
- Versatile head shape
- Balance between weight and durability
- Mid-pocket for all-around performance
Defense Sticks
Defensive players generally prefer:
- Wider, stiffer head for checking
- Heavier, more durable construction
- Higher pocket for long passes
When evaluating discounted options, look for sticks that were originally designed for your position or a similar style of play. This ensures you get the most appropriate tool for developing your skills.
Maintenance and Longevity of Your Lacrosse Stick
Proper care and maintenance can significantly extend the life of your lacrosse stick, maximizing the value of your purchase. Here are some key tips for keeping your stick in top condition:
Regular Cleaning
Clean your stick after each use to remove dirt, grass, and sweat. Use mild soap and water for the head and shaft, being careful not to saturate the strings or mesh.
String Maintenance
Regularly check your pocket for loose or fraying strings. Tighten or replace as needed to maintain consistent performance. Consider learning basic restringing techniques to handle minor repairs.
Proper Storage
Store your stick in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid leaving it in hot cars or damp environments, which can warp the head or damage the strings.
Shaft Care
For metal shafts, watch for dents or bends that could compromise integrity. Wooden shafts may benefit from occasional sanding and re-taping for optimal grip.
Seasonal Adjustments
Be aware that temperature and humidity changes can affect your stick’s performance. You may need to make minor adjustments to maintain consistent feel throughout the year.
By following these maintenance practices, you can ensure your discounted high-quality stick continues to perform well for multiple seasons, further enhancing its value.
Leveraging Online Resources and Communities
The lacrosse community offers a wealth of online resources to help players make informed equipment decisions and find great deals. Here are some valuable sources of information and assistance:
Lacrosse Forums
Online forums like LaxPower and Inside Lacrosse provide platforms for players, parents, and coaches to discuss equipment, share deals, and offer advice. These can be excellent places to learn about specific stick models and find user reviews.
Social Media Groups
Facebook groups and subreddits dedicated to lacrosse often feature equipment discussions and marketplace sections. These can be great for finding local deals or connecting with other players to buy, sell, or trade gear.
YouTube Reviews
Many lacrosse players and equipment retailers produce in-depth video reviews of sticks and other gear. These can provide valuable insights into the performance and feel of specific models, helping you make more informed purchasing decisions.
Manufacturer Websites
While they may not advertise their older models prominently, many lacrosse equipment manufacturers maintain archive sections on their websites. These can be useful for researching the original specifications and target audience of discounted sticks you’re considering.
Deal Aggregators
Websites and apps that aggregate deals from multiple retailers can help you quickly compare prices and find the best discounts on specific stick models or components.
By tapping into these online resources, you can gather more information to guide your purchasing decisions and potentially uncover even better deals on high-quality lacrosse sticks.
Making the Most of Your Discounted Stick Purchase
Once you’ve secured a great deal on a high-quality lacrosse stick, it’s important to maximize its potential. Here are some tips for getting the most out of your discounted equipment:
Proper Break-In
Take the time to properly break in your new stick. This process helps the pocket settle into its optimal shape and improves overall feel and consistency. Follow manufacturer guidelines or seek advice from experienced players on the best break-in techniques for your specific stick model.
Skill Development Focus
Use your upgraded equipment as motivation to focus on skill development. A higher-quality stick can make certain techniques easier to learn and execute, but it’s still up to you to put in the practice time. Set goals for improving specific aspects of your game and use your new stick as a tool to achieve them.
Understanding Your Stick’s Characteristics
Take the time to learn the unique characteristics of your stick. Each model has its own nuances in terms of release point, hold, and overall feel. The more familiar you become with these traits, the better you can leverage them to improve your play.
Experimentation and Customization
Don’t be afraid to experiment with minor customizations to optimize your stick’s performance. This might include adjusting the pocket depth, trying different shooting strings, or fine-tuning the tape job on your shaft. Small tweaks can make a big difference in how the stick feels and performs for your individual playing style.
Regular Assessment
Periodically reassess your stick’s performance and your evolving needs as a player. As your skills improve, you may find that certain characteristics become more or less important. This ongoing evaluation helps you determine when it might be time for further upgrades or adjustments to your setup.
By following these strategies, you can ensure that your discounted high-quality lacrosse stick becomes a valuable asset in your development as a player, providing excellent performance and value for an extended period.
How to Get a Good Lacrosse Stick Cheap – CreaseRoll
Not everyone has a friend, neighbor, or sibling with a good lacrosse stick laying around to loan out or hand down. If a kid wants to start playing lacrosse, mom or dad goes to the big box store to find an overwhelming range of choices and prices. How much to spend? What if she only plays one season? Is this a good stick? What’s the difference? The end result is most kids end up with the economical, all in one, STX Starter Pack.
Lacrosse gear is just like any other consumer product. Manufacturer’s develop and market a product line(s) with good, better, best quality and price points. Then after a few years a new and improved series of models comes out. Is the new model really better? Sure, a little, but it doesn’t make the older model(s) inferior options.
A parent’s best bang for the buck is older model advanced level sticks. These can be found brand new on clearance racks or eBay. Not only can you find a great stick for a fraction of the original price, but actually less than a poor quality starter stick at a sporting goods store.
Listing on EverySportforLess.com
As an example, my daughter’s first really good stick was an STX AtTak I bought for $190 (including handle) in 2012; one of the best on the market at that time. More recently, I bought a couple STX AtTak heads for $18 each and sent them to Taylor D’Amore Stringing to string the pockets. For the cost of beginner stick, I have a head / pocket setup equivalent to what a NCAA Division I player would have used not that long ago.
Here are some examples:
Complete Sticks (Meaning Pocket and Handle Together):
STX Rave 10 (Universal) – Originally $200 in 2012; found online from $59 – $75 with handle.
STX AtTaK (Designed for Attackers) – Originally $190 in 2012; found on eBay for $59 with handle ($23.00 head only).
STX Tilt2 10 (Universal) – Originally $150 in 2011; found online for $54
STX Ntrance (Designed for Defenders) – Found on eBay for $39 with handle ($21.00 head only)
A parent should expect to spend at least $50 to $80 for a first lacrosse stick. However, rather than settling for the “beginner” stick that will be difficult to use and have a short life, it is possible to find a great older model in that price range.

Disposable e-cigarettes
Disposable e-cigarettes remain relevant since the beginning of its
appearance, to this day.Their popularity stems from the fact that they are incredible
easy to use, more economical than conventional cigarettes and allow you to easily
switch to electronic vaping. They are most similar in size to conventional
cigarettes, due to which they are inconspicuous and convenient.
Unit
A disposable electronic cigarette contains a liquid that
the heating element is evaporated, creating a visually similar
cigarette smoke – steam. The liquid contains nicotine, as well as necessary for
to create the flavor and type of steam ingredients: propylene glycol, glycerin and
distilled water. All ingredients do not carry any tangible
harm, except that they rid the body of habitual poisons, and serve there
only pure nicotine. Actually, through inhaled vapor, nicotine gets inside
person. Nicotine simply tricks the body into thinking that it is
still a regular cigarette. However, unlike a regular cigarette, the body
a huge amount of poisons associated with combustion does not enter. Steam is safe for
the body and for the people around you, allowing you to “soar” the electronic cigarette in
public places without creating problems for others.
Externally, disposable ones are made in a monoblock form factor, and their design
is a normal battery and a container with liquid. Battery
just enough to evaporate all the available liquid. Battery
works automatically, and is turned on by a signal from a special sensor, which
reacts to puffs. Any disposable e-cigarette is equipped with
LED at the end, which lights up at the moment of puffs, simulating smoldering
an ordinary cigarette.
Tastes
Electronic disposable cigarettes also have many different
flavors. Of course, some brands only represent a limited selection of the most
popular flavors (tobacco, menthol, cherry, apple), but others
represent a huge range of various flavors, ranging from fruit and berry,
ending with coffee and chocolate – there is always a choice! Typically disposable
cigarettes contain an average amount of nicotine for any taste. But there is also
separate models, with tobacco flavor, and different nicotine content. The average,
low, super-low and zero nicotine content, allow you to choose
exactly the severity of smoking that you are accustomed to.
Benefits
Electronic disposable cigarettes are also a great way to
“Taste” electronic vaping. Not every smoker is ready right away
shell out a decent amount of money on an untested novelty. However, everyone who
at least once tried an electronic cigarette, in the end it comes across a simple truth,
which allows you to quit smoking – an ordinary cigarette becomes creepy
unpleasant to the taste. Over time, the number of tangible benefits of electronic
cigarettes, just goes over half and fills in all the remaining “buts”
in relation to regular cigarettes.
Judge for yourself:
– do not leave behind an unpleasant odor . Your clothes,
things, and you yourself, stop constantly running around with a bad smell, as with
trailer.
– The sense of smell that opened after a while , suddenly
allows you to feel all this smell and its gradual disappearance.
– Improvement of well-being . Many people report an improvement in their well-being.
within a week after switching to electronic vaping. Shortness of breath disappears
odor from the mouth, the already noted sense of smell is manifested.
– Saving money . Tobacco prices are constantly rising and
are not going to stop.Regular smoking comes out to you every time
more expensive, while the pricing policy for e-cigarettes is kept out
depending on the rates of state excise taxes. In addition, one disposable
an electronic cigarette lasts for more than 150 puffs, which is equal to more than one
packs of cigarettes. The difference in price, with the same pack of cigarettes, is almost the same,
which puts the benefits of electronic cigarette ahead of the competition.
– Ability to smoke anywhere , allows you to forget about
the psychological habit developed over the years of smoking somewhere to go to
break. Now you can smoke anywhere, and the habit of constantly running for a break
become, whatever one may say, stupid and not so necessary. As a result, itself
smoking ceases to be such an important and necessary habit, allowing you to understand
that you, as a person, it turns out, have a very strong will, and are capable of
live without it.
Vaping is not only a way to quit smoking, but also an opportunity to
absolutely legal conditions to bypass the new legislation. With a new
the bill, the rights of smokers were severely curtailed, in connection with which,
the only smoking area allowed, only a private
property and very limited outdoor areas. The only way
to reduce the constraint of your habit, these are just electronic disposable cigarettes. You don’t have to give up regular cigarettes, but depending on
the situation and your location will make it much easier for you to use
it is a disposable electronic cigarette.
Thus, electronic disposable cigarettes never lose their
relevance. They have absolutely proven their ability to replace conventional
cigarettes, in non-smoking areas and are still the easiest and most
a cheap way to quit smoking.
Disposable electronic cigarettes are not subject to exchange and return.
This type of product is a consumable item, and when the package is opened, the presentation is irretrievably lost.
90,000 which are, why are they needed, how to choose
Many owners pamper their pet dogs with delicious treats. As a rule, treats are not included in the pet’s daily diet, but are a product to reward the animal, for example, for good behavior or following given commands.
In the article we will tell you what treats are for dogs and puppies of different breeds, what they are for, how often and how much they can be given to a pet, an overview of sweets from famous brands, features and selection criteria, a rating of natural and healthy treats for dogs.
Why does a dog need treats and how to give them correctly
Each owner knows very well what his dog loves to eat most of all. But not all the products that the dog loves so much can be given regularly, so it is recommended to pamper your pet with such treats only on special occasions.Consider the situations in which dogs are fed snacks that are not part of their daily diet.
When you can treat your dog with treats:
1. When teaching and training for good behavior and obedience.
2. When you need to distract the dog from something.
3. When milk teeth change, they give hard treats that act as a comb for the gums.
4. When tartar appears in dogs for cleaning the tooth enamel from plaque.
5. Some delicacies contain vitamins, mineral complexes and other microelements useful for the body. These snacks will help strengthen your immune system. Recommended for puppies and adult dogs.
6. Treats can also be used when the dog needs to be given medication.
7. Small puppies can be periodically rewarded with treats for each new achievement – after the first visit to the toilet, following certain commands, etc. It is also not necessary to always use a treat as a reward. You can replace it with praise, stroking, or playing together.
There are no special tips for dispensing treats to animals in a situation where the owner simply wants to pamper his beloved pet.But if sweets are used to train a dog, there are already some points to consider.
How to give treats correctly during training:
1. The first bite of a stored treat can be given before training, showing the dog that you have an incentive prize for it. This will be a good motivation for her.
2. Treats are given only as a reward for certain achievements. It is undesirable to indulge the dog with sweets without a reason, as the dog will quickly lose interest in following the owner’s commands.
3. It is necessary to offer the dog a treat before giving the command, and only after its execution should the pet be encouraged.
4. Treats given out during training should not be large, otherwise the dog will quickly eat up and will not want to continue training. But you should not use too small pieces during training, as they will become too weak motivation for the animal and the dog simply does not want to follow the given commands.
5. Do not reward your dog with a treat after each command. There must be breaks between serving snacks. You can praise or pet your dog for your progress in these intervals to show that you are happy with their behavior.
6. Do not use high-calorie and unhealthy foods, as well as sweets, pastries and food from your table as treats for training. Choose exceptionally high quality and wholesome foods to reward your animal.
You can give a treat to a dog from an open hand, putting a piece in the middle of your palm. For adult dogs who are in control of their behavior, you can use the raised hand technique so that the dog gently takes the treat from the owner’s hands, rising on its hind legs.
Types of treats and snacks for dogs
Treats for dogs can be divided into two main groups: home and store. Homemade sweets are prepared independently from natural products – fruits, vegetables, meat, offal, cheese, etc.
Shop sweets are made from different ingredients, so when choosing such a product, the owner needs to pay special attention to the composition of the ingredients. Since not all manufacturers are conscientious, some types of ready-made treats contain propylene glycol, propyl gallate, BHA, ethoxyvin and other dangerous substances for the animal body.Do not buy products containing the listed components!
The assortment of in-store delicacies is very large: snacks, sausages, crackers, jerky, tableted treats for training, etc. Manufacturers produce special products for puppies and adults. Treats come in different sizes, colors, shapes – bones, balls, action figures, etc.
Dog treats can also be divided into four categories:
1. Traditional, used as rewards for good behavior or command.
2. Prophylactic treats aimed at maintaining excellent health, as well as used to remove tartar or when changing teeth.
3. Specialized, intended for dogs prone to allergies.
4. Grain Free – Used to reward dogs with sensitive digestive systems.
Whatever treat the owner chooses for treating the dog, it is very important that it is of high quality and useful for the pet.
For training, motivating and rewarding
For motivating, rewarding and training dogs, a variety of grocery and homemade treats are suitable.
For workouts, it is best to choose small pieces of pill or dried treats. There are no restrictions for rewards at home.
Types of training dainties:
• snacks;
• dog biscuits;
• pieces of jerky;
• drops;
• hard cheese;
• chicken fillet, diced;
• croutons, etc.
For the care of the oral cavity and teeth
Certain types of dog treats will also be useful in the care of the oral cavity and teeth.Hard types of treats will relieve the puppy from discomfort when changing milk teeth, and adults from tartar.
Types of delicacies:
• chewing sticks, bones;
• pieces of raw fruits, vegetables;
• gelatinous bones;
• dry biscuits;
• large articular bones;
• bread crumbs, etc.
Therapeutic feeding
For feeding the dog, special types of treats are used that contain vitamin and mineral complexes. They are dietary products, have a reduced calorie content, and there are no harmful components in their composition. Such delicacies are used for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes according to the instructions or prescriptions of the veterinarian. You can buy them at pet stores and veterinary pharmacies.
What are the treats for dogs of different breeds
When choosing treats for dogs, not only the composition of the product is taken into account, but also the height, weight, age and breed of the animal. Consider what types of treats are suitable for adult pets of different breeds and small puppies.
For large and medium breeds
The larger the breed of the dog, the more nutrients it needs to ensure a strong and healthy body. Accordingly, treats for such animals are produced with increased energy density and larger sizes.
For small breeds
For small breeds of dogs, special feeding is made taking into account the structure and size of the jaw of small animals. Such pets are prone to gastrointestinal upset and have rather weak teeth, which is also taken into account by manufacturers who produce delicious treats.
Small dogs can be offered small chewy treats or healthy homemade treats cut into small pieces. Do not give these pets hard and large treats.
For puppies
In pet shops you can buy special treats for puppies of different breeds, containing a complex of useful microelements necessary for healthy development and growth. The range includes meat biscuits, chicken sticks, mini sausages, gummy snacks, small chewing bones and much more.
When buying dog treats, pay attention to the labeling. Producers of snacks for animals always indicate information about which breeds and age of dogs this or that product is intended for.
Criteria for choosing dog treats
Many owners prefer to buy ready-made dog treats. Modern manufacturers offer a huge range of treats for pets, actively promoting their products as the best. But buying a product trusting only a beautiful picture on the package or a bargain price is unacceptable. The choice of treats for your beloved pet must be done responsibly, paying attention to important nuances.
Basic Requirements
Let’s talk about the basic requirements for choosing treats for a dog.
How to Choose Treats:
1. The first thing to consider when choosing a treat is your dog’s preference. Many pet products smell unpleasant to humans, but this does not mean that the dog will not like them or have a harmful composition.
2. We also recommend that you take a closer look at which product makes your dog the most joyful – meat, vegetables, cheese or something else.If you buy a treat for training, it must be motivational, which means that it is worth buying the product that an obedient dog wants most of all.
3. Treats should not be harmful to the dog’s body. Try to treat her with tasty and healthy foods. You should not reward your dog with junk food – fatty, smoked or fried, even if it causes a strong appetite and delight in the pet.
4. When buying delicacies in stores, be sure to read the composition of the product!
5.Quality dog treats can’t be cheap. This product is issued as a “premium” and in small quantities, therefore, instead of several packs of cheap delicacies, it is better to buy one more expensive one, but guaranteed useful for the animal.
6. If the dog has a chronic illness, be sure to consult with your veterinarian about the choice of treats so that it becomes as safe as possible for the animal.

Top 5:
1. PEDIGREE Markies – meat biscuits. Low cost, does not cause adverse reactions, can be taken for a walk and used for training.
2. “Country Treats” – rabbit ears. Natural composition, does not cause allergic reactions, improves dental health.

Reward your pet for obedience and good behavior, using as a reward not only goodies, but also the usual praise and care, and then your dog will become the most loyal and best friend!
The main thing is a sense of proportion in everything!
We often postpone starting sports or think that living a healthy lifestyle is difficult. And the beautiful relief and elastic muscles are the result of incredibly hard efforts and great luck in the form of the body’s individual propensity for training. But Planet Sport expert Alesia Sidorenko, personal trainer at the Sirius sports club, two-time absolute champion of Russia in body fitness, silver medalist of the World Championship in France, absolute winner of the body fitness category among women of the open tournament in Kaliningrad “Baltic Breeze”, says something else … That everyday affairs and worries can train our body, that beauty is born in the stomach, and the real strength of a woman is in her femininity. We learned from the beautiful winner what secrets of her profession can be applied in everyday life and easily adapted for those who want to change themselves.
Alesia, as a real professional and a wonderful woman, tell us which exercises from the practice of bodybuilders are suitable for absolutely everyone?
Talking about exercises “for everyone”, first of all, it is necessary to focus on the living conditions of our daily life and remember what we do during the day, which movements we perform in the first place.Squats come to mind first: we squat on a chair, on a sofa, on a bed, etc. Accordingly, first of all, I would advise you to do the correct and, for a start, a completely shallow squat with your own weight.
The second everyday movement is the lifting of any weights from the floor: bags with groceries, bottles of water, children, etc. Often we do this kind of lift completely wrong, and therefore there is always a risk of getting a back injury. In such cases, mastering the “deadlift” and “Romanian deadlift” techniques will come to the rescue. These exercises will teach you how to properly use the muscles of the back, legs and buttocks, strengthening them. The next exercise “for everyone” I would call the barbell / dumbbell press while standing up, when a relatively small weight is lifted over the head. And this exercise is especially necessary for young mothers and fathers. After all, when a small child grows up in a family, we now and then raise him above our heads, playing with him.
I will also focus on two exercises from fitness practice that will help you in your daily life.I think their name speaks for itself, and you can easily remember their use in everyday life: lifting the bar / dumbbells for the biceps of the arm and variations of lifting the body on the press.
Are there other practices that can be easily borrowed (nutrition, routine, preparing the body for stress or getting out of it, and other tricks)?
At first glance, the simplest practice that I would share concerns nutrition. If you are thinking of getting rid of those extra pounds, then the first thing to do is to reduce portions, but increase the frequency of meals.Ideally – 4-5 receptions in small portions, which will allow you to speed up metabolic processes and “unwind” metabolism. Another very important thing in nutrition is your meal plan: try to eat at about the same time every day and at regular intervals. By building your day in this way, you train your body to work like a clock.
And don’t forget about physical activity: walk for at least one hour a day! In general, the topic of nutrition is immensely large and always requires an individual approach. And as for the tricks, when you really want something sweet, but you can’t, sports nutrition will come to the rescue. These are all kinds of protein bars and other variations of “tasty treats” that are harmless to the figure, but, of course, the main thing is a sense of proportion in everything!
Do you have any personal life hacks that you can share with our readers?
Whether you’re looking for a challenging journey – hiking, mountain climbing, or long bike rides – and want to prepare effectively, then cardio and functional training can help.
I live on the fifth floor, and every day I have to go up and down 2-3 times. My life hack is “pump your glute to the fifth.” Climbing up the stairs, I always do it on the “gluteal”, once again loading and working out the muscle. In order to use our “fifth” point, you just need to change the technique of climbing stairs. To do this, you need to bend the lower back, pull the pelvis back a little, slightly tilt the body forward and, stretching the gluteus muscle, rise with pressure on the heel, trying to “squeeze” the buttock with each step.If you are a girl, and always in heels, just redistribute the load on the toe, but take the position of the body as described above. And my advice: use the stairs more often, even if your house has an elevator and you are an inhabitant of the upper floors. Use such a rise at least up to the 3-5th floors, and then – by elevator to the house!
What are the positive effects of bodybuilding on attitudes towards your own body, health and appearance?
We all want to be healthier, more successful and aesthetically more attractive, first of all, for ourselves. And it’s not for nothing that fitness and even bodybuilding are gaining momentum and increasing their popularity. This is our tool for changing and improving ourselves! I am sure that each trainee in the gym has his own story of why he went to the gym, but the root is dissatisfaction with the figure or health.
I am always dissatisfied with something in myself, this is what prompts me to come to the hall and “sharpen” a better version of myself. In the process, you begin to love your body and learn to take care of it. Perhaps these are the most important emotions and feelings that you acquire as a result.A stronger body means good health and self-confidence! The immune system becomes more resistant to external stimuli, and disease resistance increases. Thanks to classes in the gym, I began to get sick less often, and if a cold happens, it goes away quickly. I sincerely consider this a merit of sport!
Can you recommend a flattering garment that will work for any woman?
It is difficult for me to give advice or talk about clothes that would suit any woman, because every lady herself knows her strengths and weaknesses.Let professional stylists do it. But I think that bright accents should always be done! And the main thing in clothes is to feel confident and comfortable. What matters is how you feel in it! If you are “rushing” from jeans and a T-shirt, believe me, everyone around you will feel this energy and will pay attention to you, even if you are wrapped in a blanket!
Catwalk Girl Face, Skin, Hair and Nail Care Secrets?
I can’t live without cosmetics! I’m a girl from that series: “Until I put on my makeup, I won’t go out to throw out the trash.”For me, jars, creams and, of course, good decorative cosmetics play a very important role! BUT, the most important secret is that beauty always comes from within! And here, speaking of facial care, you must first of all “take care” of your stomach! This is a “clean” balanced and natural food! I never eat smoked meats, sausages, food fried in oil, dumplings, etc., I rarely eat butter (1-2 times a year). In matters of facial care, in addition to basic home procedures, I resort to the services of a professional cosmetologist!
But a separate item of my “expenses for myself” – hair care products: here I can spend simply “millions.”My hair is always curly, dry and colored, it needs constant moisture and care! To form a stable curl for every day, in addition to special shampoos and balms, I use all kinds of hair oils, as well as creams and styling to create curls!
Now an interesting time has come in my life, connected with the repair of an apartment with my own hands, so the care of my nails is simple: they are trimmed to zero. I actively help my half in carrying out “dirty” work, well, in the evening, before going to bed – a moisturizing cream for hands and nails is a must!

Do you feel any special attitude of men towards strong girls?
In the gym and at home, I’m always different. In the simulator – yes, I am a strong girl with muscles and, while doing it, I always “catch my eye”, catch men’s looks, and not only men’s! Most often, surprise, interest and, I want to believe, admiration are caught in the views, but here I am not always sure and not in all. Some may be “scared”, especially when the competition is approaching and the body is losing fat.The muscles become prominent, which is why it is unusual for people to see a “hard” shape. It is extremely rare for someone to come up and express their sympathy, I don’t know, they’re probably shy or just don’t want to interfere with the process … At home, I am a 100% weak woman, regardless of form!
No matter how strong a woman is, the main thing for a man is that she gives tenderness, warmth, care and joyful feelings! Femininity is the determining factor in attractiveness for our men, so be nicer, a little more naive with them and surround them with affection.Smile more often – this is generally a “universal weapon”!

Primers for eyelashes
The first thing that draws attention to a person’s appearance is the eyes. Beautiful and well-groomed eyelashes make the look more expressive, delicate and feminine. Not every woman has lush and long eyelashes, so women resort to all sorts of ways to make them more expressive and noticeable.
The number of cosmetics is growing steadily every day. Old funds are improved and new ones appear. Eyelash primer is a relatively new care product. Outwardly, the primer is similar to mascara – it looks like a tube with a brush, but its purpose is completely different.
What is a primer and what is it for
Primer is essential for the care of eyelashes. The product contains vitamins and beneficial substances that help neutralize the adverse effects of mascara on the eyelashes. Also, the primer is used for building. When buying such a product, you should pay attention to its quality. Low-quality and cheap primers will not only be of no use, but can also cause significant damage to the eyelashes – they can weaken and begin to fall out. That is why buy only high-quality products from trusted manufacturers. On the site https://onrial.com/ you can find quality cosmetics that are suitable for both professional and home use.
Primers Onrial – https://onrial.com/product-category/prajmery/.
If you have weak and thin eyelashes, then the primer will help to make them more voluminous and divided, nourish with useful substances and heal. You can use the primer every day – it will only benefit the eyelashes.
The use of such a product will be ideal for those girls who, for whatever reason, cannot grow their eyelashes. Visually, after applying the primer, the eyelashes become more voluminous, acquire a beautiful and well-groomed appearance. At its core, a primer is a base for mascaras, which can also be used as a degreaser when building up.
When choosing a product, pay attention to the brand, do not buy untested and cheap products. Note that some primers are sold in a tube with a brush, some without. In the latter case, ordinary cotton swabs can be used for application.
Primer Onrial
If you want to buy a really high-quality primer, pay attention to Onrial brand cosmetics. These are really high quality professional cosmetics that are in demand and popularity all over the world.
You can buy such cosmetics on the website onrial.com. The price of primers here is more than acceptable and affordable for every customer. The product is original and fully complies with all the norms and requirements of the manufacturer.
Take care of your eyelashes, it’s not for nothing that they say that the eyes are the mirror of the soul!

The best food for Maine Coons – mirkorma.ru
The basic principles of nutrition are the same for all cats, but purebred breeds are always small differences in anatomy, habits, a tendency to specific diseases. In the article you will find recommendations from breeders, veterinarians, as well as a list of premium food for Maine Coon and prices for ready-made rations.

Breed features and nutrition
Raccoon cats have a massive skeleton and muscles that are more developed than other domesticated felines.
Maine Coons are very mobile, they need more calories to replenish their energy losses. The recommended daily allowance for males is 300 kcal, for females – 250 kcal, that is, 60 kcal per 1 kg of body weight.
The coat is thick, water-repellent, prone to grease. It is impossible to preserve its high quality if the diet lacks B vitamins, unsaturated Omega-3, 6, 9 acids.
In addition, raccoon kittens mature more slowly. An individual is considered a cub up to 15 months, weight gain lasts up to 3 years, and all this time a special food is needed.
Breeders also know that Maine Coons, like Siamese cats, tend to eat too quickly, to swallow food in chunks. From this, the jaws do not receive sufficient load, the blood circulation of the gums and surrounding tissues is impaired.
The table shows the weak points of Maine Coons and the resulting requirements for nutrients (nutrients).
Feature of the breed
|
| |
Late maturation of the individual.Great weight. Increased load on the skeleton. Insufficient load on the powerful dental-jaw apparatus. |
|
|
Increased stress on the cardiovascular system. |
|
|
Sensitive gastrointestinal tract and urinary system. |
Maine Coons, unfortunately, are susceptible to this ailment on a par with dogs. Long hair that forms clumps in the stomach only increases the risks.
|
|
Sensitive skin, dense coat. |
|
|
What to look for in the composition of feed
It is difficult to remember the huge list of nutrients and their properties right off the bat. Here is a simple chart to help you analyze manufactured Maine Coon cat food.
Nutrient
|
|
| |
Squirrels Up to 60% of the diet |
|
|
|
Carbohydrates, including fiber 5-10% |
|
|
|
Fats 10-30% |
|
|
Grain Free, or GF, means this is a grain-free food for cats prone to food allergies, skin rashes, and stool problems. However, in such formulas, the carbohydrate fraction is traditionally taken from peas and potatoes. To avoid a possible upset of the gastrointestinal tract from them, the formulation must necessarily contain additives that improve digestion – prebiotics, polysaccharides, fiber.
The closer an ingredient is to the top of the list, the more of it is in the product. Accordingly, look for protein components in the first place, preferably from fresh meat, and not in the form of flour, powders, isolates.
Find a label on the package with a guaranteed analysis, where the ratio of BZHU is indicated. The minimum allowable percentage of crude protein in accordance with GOST and FEDIAF (European association, which includes feed manufacturers from different countries) is 26%. This is enough to support the body of an adult animal. The upper limit is not standardized, so feel free to try high-protein diets.
But in general, the advice is banal: do not worry about guesswork, but trust the experience of zoologists. Cats are well researched, and experts have already balanced feed based on breed, age, health status.
Additional vitamin and mineral supplements in the diet are not needed if there are no obvious problems and recommendations from a veterinarian. The necessary substances are already included in the formulation in their natural form (with products) or in the form of premixes.
Of course, we are only talking about premium, holistic rations. You probably know about the dangers of low-grade feed from the mass market. They are cheap, because the correct components have been replaced by analogs with a low nutritional value, there is an obvious bias in the BZHU. We also hope that you are from the category of conscious owners and will not save on the health of your loved one.
Rating of super premium food for Maine Coons
Bozita Large Wheat Free Salmon
The food of the Swedish manufacturer contains different types of meat – poultry, fish and mammals, due to which the optimal amino acid profile of the product is achieved.Created to improve the condition of the coat and skin, to protect cartilage from early destruction.
Sources of protein – chicken, salmon, beef. Bioactive peptides from fatty fish reduce the level of “harmful” cholesterol, have an anti-inflammatory effect, in combination with biotin and zinc make the coat shiny, smooth, and increase skin elasticity.
There are glucosamine and chondroitin – natural constituents of cartilage tissue.
Added prebiotics. Polysaccharides are food for the beneficial bacteria that colonize the Maine Coon’s digestive tract.
No wheat. Instead, the food is enriched with lignocellulose, a fiber from wood that does not accumulate substances toxic to cats like wheat fibers.
Suitable for sterilized animals. The percentage of minerals that can cause urolithiasis is reduced.
Among the shortcomings, we note the presence of corn. Gluten and plant proteins in general are difficult for felines to digest. However, there is less than 5% of this ingredient.
Wellness Core Grain Free Ocean Salmon
French grain-free fish diet. Here, the protein content is increased – as much as 44%, few brands in which it is possible to find similar indicators. It is aimed at Maine Coons with a sensitive gastrointestinal tract, reduces unpleasant feces odor.
In the first place of the composition – fresh salmon and only 10% of flour from it.
Added salmon fat, tuna flour.
The correct fiber of natural origin is used – kelp, yucca Shidigera. Seaweed reduces the acidity of gastric juice with a tendency to gastritis, and yucca (a plant of the agave family) fights against pathogenic microflora in the intestine.
Cranberry maintains normal urine pH and prevents the formation of stones.
Flax seed fats coat and soften mucous membranes.
There are small amounts of peas and potatoes, but their undesirable effect is leveled by useful components.
Of the relative disadvantages, we note small oval granules.
Since fish is the main source of protein, feed this food no more than 2 times a week. This Maine Coon cat food can be mixed with poultry rations.
Brit Care Cat Tobby
Presented as a super premium food for allergy-prone Maine Coons. The Czech product contains a rare source of protein – duck, and the chicken content does not exceed 6%. Recall that of all types of meat, it is chicken that most often develops an allergy. The ingredient is inexpensive and is found in large quantities in many foods, so a low proportion of chicken is a clear advantage.
35% crude protein.
Decent fatty components are isolated chicken and salmon fat.
Grain-free – no corn, soy, rice and even their derivatives.
The right fiber is apple and brewer’s yeast.
Interesting supplements. Sodium mineral hexametaphosphate (Graham’s salt) protects tooth enamel from acids, prevents plaque hardening. Introduced and complex for joints – chondroitin, glucosamine.
Croquettes are round, moderately large, 1 cm in diameter is also a plus. As the owners note, the pets like the food very much.
Leonardo Adult Maxi GF
German grain-free holistic food for nourishing cats.Helps to remove balls of wool from the digestive tract, maintains healthy gums and teeth. The main carbohydrate is the herb amaranth (15%), which does not contain gluten. There are very few potatoes and peas, unlike many other diets, in the recipe.
80% animal protein, fresh and dried poultry.
Quality sources of animal fat.
Extra-large extended croquettes 11-15 mm – do not fall out of the mouth, they are easy to chew.Gums are massaged, salivation is stimulated, appetite is increased.
Fortified with krill – small crustaceans, a valuable source of animal protein, Omega-3, DHA and EPA. Acids here are associated with phospholipids, which means that they are absorbed much better than analogues.
A natural preservative is used – tocopherol (vitamin E).
This food for Maine Coon cats normalizes urine PH and can be fed to spayed cats.
Maine Coon kitten feeding
Raccoon kittens feed on breast milk longer than others – up to 4 months. But already from the 25th day, you can offer babies soft meat pates, jelly.
Granulated food is introduced no earlier than 3 months, when the teeth are ready for solid food.
In the digestive tract of a small Maine Coon, a stable microflora has not yet been formed; the pancreas produces little amylase, which is the main enzyme needed to break down carbohydrates.Everything is designed to digest milk. So look for a hypoallergenic food for Maine Coon kittens, in the formula of which:
easily digestible animal protein – turkey, rabbit, duck;
light fats (preferably from fish) and in greater quantities than in diets for adults (up to 30%). This is important, because it is from lipids that the cell walls are formed in a growing organism, and the brain consists of almost half of fats;
minimum of grain, starch-containing components.
Two-month-old kittens are fed 6-7 times a day, half-year-olds – 3-4 times. The new product is introduced in small portions, it is imperative to monitor the reaction – whether the animal retains mobility, whether there is constipation, or the urge to vomit.
Super premium class food for Maine Coon kittens – rating from “World of food”
Sanabelle Kitten
Diet of a German manufacturer with an immune complex for kittens, pregnant and lactating cats.Yeast Saccharomyces cervisiae is introduced into the formula, it has a mild immunostimulating effect. Raw materials undergo short-term heat treatment at low temperatures, which allows them to preserve vitamins.
88% of proteins are of animal origin, based on fresh poultry and liver.
Sources of Omega-3,6 are salmon oil, fishmeal.
Cereals that do not cause gluten enteropathy are used – rice, sorghum, millet.
Chicory powder, yeast and beet pulp normalize the balance of intestinal microflora, stimulate food digestion. The risk of loose stools is reduced, which is especially important with the first feeding.
Now Fresh Grain Free Kitten Recipe
The Canadian manufacturer has seriously approached the recipe for food for young Maine Coons. This is a holistic diet without meat substitutes, with natural sources of vitamins and carbohydrates.
Only fresh muscle meat – no meat and bone meal, offal.
Proteins that rarely cause allergies – turkey fillets, salmon, duck, eggs.
Fiber, vitamins are served in “natural” form – rosemary, marigolds, apples, pumpkin, cranberries, blueberries, broccoli, spinach and a dozen other natural ingredients.
Fortified with calcium carbonate – better absorbed than gluconate.
Not only prebiotics have been introduced, but also the lactobacilli themselves.
A natural preservation system is used – vitamin E from vegetable oils.
Royal Canin Maine Coon Kitten
A rich high-calorie diet (427 kcal / 100 g) of Russian production, even with a small portion, the pet will be full and satisfied for a long time.
The increased fat content is 23%.
Proteins of the L.I.P. – a high degree of digestibility. More than 90% of the proteins are guaranteed to be digested in the kitten’s stomach.
Chondroitin and glucosamine in natural form – cartilage and crustacean shells. Promotes proper joint development.

NEMO Asian Kitchen & Bar, pan-Asian bistro in Novosibirsk – review and rating – Rose
Nice place in the very center of Novosibirsk. Bright, cozy interior, friendly waiters and a bartender, an interesting menu.Obviously, the chef of the establishment is always present, who tries to follow what is happening in the hall.
Most of all we liked the sushi, they are delicious, the serving also pleasantly surprised me. Instead of the proverbial wasabi, you whip it into cream mousse ….

Most of all we liked the sushi, they are delicious, the serving also pleasantly surprised me. Instead of the proverbial wasabi, you whip it into a creamy mousse. Beautiful dishes, plates of sauce and sushi are more like a living picture.
The claws of the crab are not bad, but nothing special, here, of course, I would like the menu to have a “fist” of a crab, or at least the 1st phalanx. You offer clearly the 2nd, but it is thinner and there is less pure product in it. The sweet chili sauce was delicious.
The salad with scallops and roast beef was not impressive, it even slightly differed from the photo on the menu, and roast beef is not always to my taste.
Udon with seafood deserves attention, it is good, the spices are seasoned, there are enough scallops, they were not greedy 🙂 ? Living in the city center, delivery to my house takes 5 minutes, however, at the same time I serve myself, sushi is brought in containers, and the waiters don’t run to carry me my order on a beautiful plate?
I think that delivery should be cheaper.
