Apache2 Debian Default Page: It works
Apache2 Debian Default Page
This is the default welcome page used to test the correct
operation of the Apache2 server after installation on Debian systems.
If you can read this page, it means that the Apache HTTP server installed at
this site is working properly. You should replace this file (located at
/var/www/html/index.html) before continuing to operate your HTTP server.
If you are a normal user of this web site and don’t know what this page is
about, this probably means that the site is currently unavailable due to
maintenance.
If the problem persists, please contact the site’s administrator.
Debian’s Apache2 default configuration is different from the
upstream default configuration, and split into several files optimized for
interaction with Debian tools. The configuration system is
fully documented in
/usr/share/doc/apache2/README.Debian.gz. Refer to this for the full
documentation. Documentation for the web server itself can be
found by accessing the manual if the apache2-doc
package was installed on this server.
The configuration layout for an Apache2 web server installation on Debian systems is as follows:
/etc/apache2/ |-- apache2.conf | `-- ports.conf |-- mods-enabled | |-- *.load | `-- *.conf |-- conf-enabled | `-- *.conf |-- sites-enabled | `-- *.conf
- apache2.conf is the main configuration
file. It puts the pieces together by including all remaining configuration
files when starting up the web server. - ports.conf is always included from the
main configuration file. It is used to determine the listening ports for
incoming connections, and this file can be customized anytime. - Configuration files in the mods-enabled/,
conf-enabled/ and sites-enabled/ directories contain
particular configuration snippets which manage modules, global configuration
fragments, or virtual host configurations, respectively. - They are activated by symlinking available
configuration files from their respective
*-available/ counterparts. These should be managed
by using our helpersa2enmod,
a2dismod,a2ensite,
a2dissite,and
a2enconf,
a2disconf
. See their respective man pages for detailed information. - The binary is called apache2. Due to the use of
environment variables, in the default configuration, apache2 needs to be
started/stopped with /etc/init.d/apache2 or apache2ctl.
Calling /usr/bin/apache2 directly will not work with the
default configuration.
By default, Debian does not allow access through the web browser to
any file apart of those located in /var/www,
public_html
directories (when enabled) and /usr/share (for web
applications). If your site is using a web document root
located elsewhere (such as in /srv) you may need to whitelist your
document root directory in /etc/apache2/apache2. conf.
The default Debian document root is /var/www/html. You
can make your own virtual hosts under /var/www. This is different
to previous releases which provides better security out of the box.
Please use the reportbug tool to report bugs in the
Apache2 package with Debian. However, check existing bug reports before reporting a new bug.
Please report bugs specific to modules (such as PHP and others)
to respective packages, not to the web server itself.

Fort Worth, Texas – U.S. Embassy Moscow LiveJournal Blog
Suzanne Freeman located in a little traveled by tourists part of the United States, but it’s worth going there. I have been going there every year in December since I was a child. There are three main things that attract me to this city: the art museums, the annual Fort Worth Cattle Show, and of course, the local cuisine. The city has three major art museums: the Fort Worth Museum of Contemporary Art, the Kimbell Art Museum, and the Emon Carter Museum of American Art.
The Kimbell Art Museum has a finely curated permanent collection and always features special works on display. My favorite is The Torment of Saint Anthony, an early painting by Michelangelo, painted by him as a teenager. This work has always amazed my imagination with the young artist’s creative approach to depicting how various demons torment St. Anthony. The Kimbell Museum is distinguished by the rich variety and exceptional talent of the works presented in its collection. The museum exhibits works by such Renaissance artists as Michelangelo and Giovanni Lorenzo Bernini, paintings and graphics by such impressionists as Edgar Degas and paintings by modernists Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. There are also several halls of ancient Egyptian, Mesopotamian and Chinese art. The Kimbell Museum is one of my favorite places in Fort Worth and, believe it or not, admission to the permanent exhibition rooms is free.
Another one of my favorite paintings is in the city’s Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. This is Andy Warhol’s Self Portrait. The museum also exhibits his Twenty Five Colored Marilyns and Gun. Warhol is a true representative of American consumerism culture. His “Self-Portrait” is less typical of his work on its subject and brings him closer to the classical artistic tradition of portraiture.
The Amon Carter Museum of American Art covers several periods of American art within a single space. There, the works of Charles M. Russell and Federic Remington are presented in the art of the Wild West and paintings by Georgia O’Keeffe or photographs of the Brooklyn Bridge are also exhibited there. 12 years old It is always interesting for me to return to the Emon Carter Museum, because the variety of art in my home country tells a lot about both the culture and its history.

Those who want to attend an event that is nowhere else but Texas should go to Fort Worth livestock exhibition and rodeo (The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo). The exhibit showcases livestock, agricultural products, handicrafts, and entertainment acts from all over the state. When I first went to this exhibition in 2009year, I was shocked. I have never seen so many cows in one place, especially such well-groomed cows from all over Texas that were raised by teenagers. I liked the rodeo because the tricks the riders did made the show feel like a little circus. The art market sells both traditional Old West style items and modern handmade pottery. This exhibition is the perfect mix of Texas from the Wild West and modern Texas under the same roof of a gigantic building with enough stuff to last a whole week.
Although I said that my favorite place in Fort Worth is the Kimbell Museum, I must admit that what attracts me to the city most of all is food – barbecue and Tex-Mex. My favorite restaurant is Joe T Garcia located in downtown Fort Worth. It is impossible to book a table in advance and there is always a queue winding down the street to its doors. Any company has an alternative: either dinner with enchiladas (Mexican corn tortilla stuffed with cheese, beef or chicken in a spicy tomato and chili sauce) or with fajitas (fried meat with spices). Nachos (corn chips) topped with cheese and pieces of jalapenos (a type of chili pepper) are always served first. Dinner with enchiladas begins with two of these sizzling cheese-filled tortillas, followed by two crispy tortillas (tortillas) with beef, rice, beans and homemade tortillas. All the dishes are very beautiful and very spicy, exactly the way a Tex-Mex should be. My other favorite restaurant is called Angelos BBQ and my family loves it. It looks like a large wooden warehouse, and inside it is decorated with stuffed hunting trophies. At the entrance you will be met by a stuffed bear in the branded T-shirt of this restaurant, a portion of beer and Christmas tree lanterns around him. This restaurant is always decorated with a bit of humor.
All in all, a trip to Fort Worth will be an enjoyable experience, but these are just a few of the things you can enjoy. And it’s great that the city is constantly growing and developing. It has recently begun a major investment in urbanization and the growth of its business and cultural center, resulting in a much livelier and more popular nightlife in the city. I recommend you go to Fort Worth. The main thing is to be open to the perception of its culture and come on an empty stomach.

Fort Worth, Texas is a great place to travel to and a less frequently travelled to part of the United States. I have gone to Fort Worth every December since I was born. For me, the city has three major attractions, the art museums, the annual Fort Worth Stock Show and, of course, the food. There are three major art museums in Fort Worth, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, the Kimbell Art Museum and the Amon Carter Museum of American Art.
The Kimbell Art Museum has a brilliantly curated permanent collection and always has inspired special exhibits. My personal favorite is the “Torment of Saint Anthony,” an early piece by Michelangelo which he painted in his adolescence. The painting has always captured my imagination because of the creativity of the young artist shown in the variety of ways he portrayed the demons tormenting St. Anthony. The Kimbell is very special because of the diversity and extreme talent represented in its collection. The museum is also home to masterpieces by renaissance artists like Michelangelo and Gian Lorenzo Bernini, paintings and sketches by impressionist painters like Edgar Degas, and paintings by Modernists Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. In addition, there are also several galleries of ancient Egyptian, Mesopotamian and Chinese art. The Kimbell is one of my favorite places in Fort Worth and, unbelievably, entrance into the permanent collection is free.
My clear favorite at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is “Self-Portrait” by Andy Warhol. The museum also has “Twenty Five Colored Marilyns” and “Gun” by Andy Warhol. Warhol is a representative of American consumerist culture. His “Self Portrait” is more rare because it is just a little bit different than his typical themes and places him closer to the classical artistic tradition of portraiture.
The Amon Carter Museum of American Art celebrates multiple eras of American art in one space, like the art of the Wild West by Charles M. Russell and Federic Remington or works of art by Georgia O’Keeffe, or photographs of the Brooklyn Bridge from 1912. I am always interested to go back to the Amon Carter because its diversity in art from my own country is simultaneously cultural and historical.
Those looking for a uniquely Texan experience should visit The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. The event features livestock, produce, handicrafts, and entertainment from all over the state. When I first went to the Stock Show in 2009, I was shocked. I had never seen so many cows in one place, especially such well-groomed cows which were raised by teenagers from all over Texas. I loved watching the horse shows because the tricks were like a small circus. The art market has more traditional Old West kinds of art, but also modern handmade pottery. The Stock Show is the perfect mixture of Wild West Texas and Modern Texas all in the same huge building with enough activities to do for a week.
Although I said the Kimbell was my favorite attraction in Fort Worth, I really have to say the best part of Fort Worth is the food, the BBQ, and the Tex-Mex. My favorite restaurant is Joe T Garcia in downtown Fort Worth. The restaurant does not take reservations and there is always a line out the door winding down the street. Groups have two choices: the enchilada dinner or the fajita. The meal always starts off with plates of nachos made with big round corn chips loaded with cheese and jalapenos. The enchilada dinner comes with two steaming hot cheese enchiladas, two crispy beef tacos, rice, beans, and homemade tortillas. All of the food is flavorful and spicy and exactly what Tex-Mex should be. My other favorite restaurant is a family favorite, called Angelos BBQ. The restaurant looks like a big wooden warehouse and on the inside it is covered in dead stuffed game. In the entry way there is a stuffed bear with an Angelos T-Shirt, a beer, and Christmas lights draped around it. The restaurant always puts a little humor into its decor.
Overall, Fort Worth is fun trip and these are just a few the attractions. One of the best things about the city is that it is constantly growing and developing. Recently the city has started to invest a lot in the urbanization and growth of its downtown area and as a result the nightlife has become much more exciting and prevalent.
