Sports and recreation camp “Pulse”
On the picturesque bank of the Belaya River, there is a sports and recreation camp “Pulse” of the Belarusian State Medical University, where more than 200 students, employees with their families can relax in 2 shifts at the same time. The purpose of the existence of the camp is to improve professional and applied physical training, improve sportsmanship, as well as active recreation and health promotion of BSMU students in the summer.
On the territory itself there are: separate houses, a two-story house, a dining room, baths, showers, a beach, a football field, a volleyball field, a basketball field, a trail for cross-country, numerous sports facilities (bars, crossbars, handrails, etc.). Structures for carrying out sabantui (bag fight, climbing a pole, etc.).
Employees of the Department of Physical Education actively organize educational and sports events: “Miss and Mister Pulse Camp”, “St. Valentine’s Day”, “Neptune’s Day”.
A real paradise in SOL “Pulse” and for sports training – a sports competition in sports (mini football, streetball, volleyball, table tennis, chess, checkers, swimming and many others), friendly matches with BSAU neighbors – a great opportunity to improve physical fitness.
Sports and health work in the camp is carried out all year round. Our students every month of the academic year travel with curators where they play games, ski, spend holidays.
The head of the sports and recreation camp “Pulse” is Ruslan Anvarovich Gainullin.
In the summer, 3 races are held, which provide for five meals a day, recreational activities, and an educational and developmental program.
The first race is organized by the Department of Physical Education of the Belarusian State Medical University together with the Faculty of Pharmacy for 3rd year students of the Faculty of Pharmacy who consolidate their professional competencies obtained in the course of pharmacognosy. Check-in takes place within 3 weeks.

On the basis of the sports and recreation camp “Pulse” of the Belarusian State Medical University, together with the primary trade union organization of the Belarusian State Medical University, a recreational race was organized, where 17 university employees participated. For the daily rest of the employees, game rooms, a canteen were equipped, a gym was provided, a sports ground on the territory of the camp. The main goal of the camp was to create conditions for a good rest, stimulating the comprehensive development of a creative personality and the health improvement of employees and their families in the summer.
The staff of the Department of Physical Education actively carried out activities to promote a healthy lifestyle, talk about personal hygiene, the importance of physical culture and hardening, proper nutrition, daily routine, and injury prevention. Every day, the camp held activities to improve the health of employees and their children: morning exercises in the fresh air, 2 times a week additional sports activities, walks, water procedures.
According to the results of a survey of BSMU employees, it was found that the work of the camp was organized at a good level for a good rest in the summer.
The words of gratitude from all the employees of the Belarusian State Medical University are expressed to the rector of the Belarusian State Medical University, Professor V. N. Pavlov and the Chairman of the primary trade union organization of BSMU employees R.E. Safarov, Head Department of Physical Culture R.A. Gainullin for their assistance and the opportunity to organize a summer visit for BSMU employees.
Sports and health work in the camp is carried out all year round. Our students every month of the academic year travel with curators and teachers of the Department of Physical Education. In winter, they play games, go skiing, and spend holidays.
This year, the opening of the ice skating rink in SOL “Pulse” gave medical students a real sports holiday. The event was held in SOL “Pulse” and timed to coincide with the opening of the winter season for fans of figure skating. It should be noted that the ice rink in SOL “Pulse” was flooded for the first time. This gift appealed to both beginners who took their first steps on skates and experienced students. The ice skating relay races brought a lot of positive impressions. Everyone could see the local beauty by skiing along the landscapes of the snow-covered expanses of the camp and the embankment of the Belaya River.
Such events allow students to make new acquaintances and have fun. In the future, there is the opening of winter shifts.
After successfully passing the exams and tests, the students of the Faculty of Medicine together with the Department of Physical Culture on February 2-3, 2017 held outreach sports and recreation events on the basis of the Pulse SOL.
The main purpose of the event was to actively and profitably carry out the long-awaited winter holidays. Students had the opportunity not only to spend time skiing along snowy forests, but also to show good skiing skills in relay races. With the advent of an ice rink in the camp, students are increasingly using skating and various sports and recreational activities using clubs, sledges, relay races.
The employees of BSMU are not far behind. Who usefully spent a day off at the base of SOL “Pulse” from February 11 to 12, 2017. The teaching staff of BSMU was able to escape from the bustle of the city and go out of town to an ecologically clean area with a wonderful winter nature of the sports and recreation camp “Pulse”.
