“I’m incredibly proud of our men,” Ohio State head coach Nick Myers said. “It started with our families on the field and our senior day. We have a really special group of seniors and I want to say thank you to them and thank you to their families. We had an incredible crowd; Buckeye Nation and our home games this year have been really special, and tonight was certainly no different. Tonight was an awesome game and we would’ve loved to get one more… It will sting for sure, but it’s a special weekend. We have a lot to be thankful for and we’ll get back to work and get ready to go for our next one. ”

The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) has announced the venues for the 2023 season.

“The 2023 season will bring professional lacrosse to every corner of the country, from Boston and Charlotte to the Pacific Northwest,” said League co-founder and president Paul Rabil. “We are looking forward to our first trip to the brand new state of the art lacrosse facility at Ohio State University.”

“Several returning markets – Albany, Fairfield, Baltimore and Denver – all sold out in 2022,” said co-founder and CEO Michael Rabil. “We see interest in professional lacrosse continuing to grow, with ticketing revenue up 24% year-on-year.”

Gillette Stadium (Boston) will host all three quarterfinal matches. James M. Schuart Stadium (Long Island) will host the semi-finals. The final, for the third time in the history of the league, will be held at Subaru Park (Philadelphia).

Lacrosse (from French la crosse – club) – a contact sports game between two teams using a small rubber ball (62. 8-64.77 mm, 140-146 g) and a stick with a long handle called a stick ( English lacrosse stick or French crosse). Lacrosse is often considered a tough contact sport, but injuries are much less common than in American football and other contact sports. The top of the stick is braided with a loose mesh designed to catch and hold the ball. The object of the game is to shoot the ball into the opponent’s goal, using the stick to catch, control and pass the ball. The task of the defense is to prevent a goal and get the ball with a stick, contact grappling or correct position on the field. There are four positions in the game: midfielder, attacker, defender, goalkeeper. In field lacrosse, the attackers only attack (except in the “ride” situation, when the defense tries to clear the ball and the attackers try to interfere with them), the defenders only defend (except in the “clear” situation, when they need to clear the ball), the goalkeeper is the last a line of defense directly protecting the goal, midfielders can be anywhere in the field and play both defensively and offensively, although at a high level of play there is always a specialization between defensive and attacking midfielders.
