Lacrosse’s Growing Popularity: Beyond Traditional Strongholds
The NXT Philly Lacrosse Showcase’s diverse participant pool reflects the sport’s expanding reach. How is lacrosse growing beyond its traditional East Coast strongholds?
Signs of Lacrosse’s National Growth
- Presence of teams like 3D Colorado and Seattle Starz at the showcase
- All-Star selections from non-traditional lacrosse states such as Texas, Georgia, and California
- Emergence of competitive programs in the Midwest and South

Club programs like the Fighting Clams serve as a bridge between high school lacrosse and collegiate opportunities, providing players with the skills and exposure needed to succeed at the next level.
Balancing Club and School Lacrosse
While club lacrosse offers numerous benefits, it’s essential to consider the balance between club and school commitments. Players, parents, and coaches must navigate:
- Time management between club and school teams
- Potential burnout from year-round play
- Financial considerations of club participation

- Fostering a sense of community within the national lacrosse scene
These showcases serve as more than just recruiting events; they are catalysts for the sport’s evolution and growth at the high school level.
Potential Drawbacks and Considerations
While showcases offer numerous benefits, it’s important to consider potential drawbacks:
- Pressure on young athletes to perform in high-stakes environments
- Financial and time burdens on families to attend multiple events
- Risk of oversaturation in the recruiting process

“All-Star. Most faceoff guys don’t have Tilton’s size, and that … gives him a big advantage over his competition. Tilton used his power to push around opponents and showed a surprisingly quick first step out the front door. Battle-tested after a strong spring campaign at Trinity-Pawling, where he won 62 percent of his draws, Tilton still has vast upside.

Delicious and nutritious soup
I really love clam soups, so I decided to try this recipe. The soup turned out very tasty, spicy and nutritious. Shellfish give it a special taste and aroma. Light cream made the soup thicker and richer. In general, I am very pleased with the result and will definitely cook this soup again.
Marina March 13, 2023
Interesting recipe
I decided to try this recipe even though I don’t usually cook shellfish dishes. I was intrigued by the idea of adding bacon and potatoes to soup. It turned out to be a very interesting combination of flavors and textures. However, for me personally, the shellfish flavor was too dominant, and I prefer soups with a more neutral aroma. But in general, the recipe deserves attention and I recommend trying it.

Soup is a godsend for dinner
This is a great recipe for those who love soups and strive for a healthy diet. The soup turned out to be simply divine – tender, fragrant, rich in the taste and smell of shellfish. Adding smoked bacon will give it extra flavor. As soon as I tried this soup, I realized that this is the perfect option for dinner. The recipe is simple but the result is excellent. Highly recommend!
Olya April 27, 2023
Unusual taste
I cook soups almost every day, so I decided to try a new recipe. The soup turned out really very unusual and rich in taste. Clams give it a special taste and aroma, but for me personally they were a little too bland. An unexpected element was the addition of bacon, which gave the soup an extra flavor and aroma. All in all, this is an intriguing recipe for those who like to experiment in cooking.

Soup with original taste
I liked this soup, but it could not completely surprise me. I had tried clam soups before, so the taste was familiar. But the recipe is interesting and original, I did not expect that there would be so many delicate nuances of taste in the soup with clams. The milk and cream give the soup a smooth texture that my kids especially liked. I would love to make this soup again.

It was just delicious!
I was looking forward to having the chance to try this soup – and it didn’t disappoint! The soup turned out to be simply divine – rich, fragrant and incredibly tasty. Clams go great with potatoes and bacon, and this combination of cream gives it all a rich and full-bodied taste.
