What is a CPVS mesh – comparison with other types of mesh
Under the abbreviation TsPVS, there is nothing more than an all-metal expanded metal mesh. After it was introduced to the market, the product became very popular among buyers who are satisfied with its quality, characteristics and aesthetic features. CPVS immediately managed to declare itself as a serious player, which is a worthy competitor to its counterparts.
Production process of non-wire hardware
The technology for the production of all-metal expanded metal mesh differs from the manufacture of other rolled metal products. And the final product is characterized by a different design, which is endowed with many advantages.
The main material is not the usual wire, but a solid sheet of metal with a certain thickness. This sheet is then fed to a cutting machine, which is automatic. On this equipment, cutting is carried out taking into account the specified parameters of the holes and at the same time they are stretched. The other side is also actively involved in the process, since a mesh is wound onto it, which is already considered finished, as it has an elongated shape and slots. But so far there are no connections.
The end result is an integral honeycomb structure that does not lose the qualities originally inherent in a monolithic sheet of steel. Stretching of notches is carried out until a diamond shape is obtained. And the whole process is done in a simple way and in a short period of time.
Available in two varieties:
1) Volumetric. Can be obtained after cutting and extruding with a certain height at the jumper. The final touch is cutting the finished product to the specified dimensions.
2) Flat. If the bulk sheet goes through the pressing procedure, it will instantly turn into a flat one, which then needs to be cut as the specific situation requires.
Parameters such as cell dimensions, jumper height are set automatically on the machine. In this case, the thickness of rolled metal is 0.7-5 millimeters. In practice, a product with a rolled thickness of 2.5 millimeters is often found. If the thickness is the smallest, then there can be no talk of high strength, and such a product is not suitable for the construction of fences. But there is always an application, namely, the reinforcement of plaster and brickwork.
Why is the TsPVS mesh better than other types?
Methods for making other meshes endow products with qualities that lose to the properties that are endowed with CPVS. Despite the fact that the all-metal expanded metal mesh weighs little, its strength will “give odds” to other similar products. And all due to the fact that the methods of welding, weaving, knitting are not used to ensure that the finished threads have an integral structure.
Difference from chain-link mesh
No one will be surprised by the chain-link fence, which is used by the owners of summer cottages, gardens or kitchen gardens. Its installation to metal frames is carried out by welding to poles. However, if some mesh cells are damaged, then the fence becomes unusable, because the canvas unwinds. The grid is subject to repair, but few people want to take on such a laborious process. It includes the elimination of damaged wire with replacement for another.
Practice has proven that the fence made of all-metal expanded metal mesh is able to hold a load – up to 2 tons! In order to damage the structure, you need to try very hard and “arm yourself” with a special tool. In the event of damage to one cell, the entire web does not suffer, since the structure remains intact, and the broken link is easy to replace or repair. This material makes the fence attractive. Installation is carried out in sections or resort to the tension method.
Both chain-link and TsPVS have the best qualities if they are coated with zinc.
Difference from woven mesh
The main disadvantage of a woven mesh is the unraveling of the structure in whole or in part if one element is damaged. Repair is unlikely to correct the deplorable situation, since it will not be possible to return the former appearance, and everything will look awkward.
CPVS does not allow such an outcome due to the structure of the notch. Even if several cells are damaged, the structure remains intact and does not “creep” further.
Braided options do not have the ability to cut sheets, giving versatility in use. But this quality has a notch. Steps, fences, cages, and so on are made from the sheets obtained.
Difference from welded mesh
In order for the structure of the welded mesh to become unified, welding of wires is indispensable. Spot welding creates significant problems, since when an impact is made, it departs, begins to oxidize, and rust. The resulting product is characterized by increased strength, which allows it to be used in concrete, but otherwise the leadership remains with the punch:
