Vanderbilt Baseball 2023 Youth Camp – July 5th and 6th
Grades: 1-5
Cost: $265
Times: Camp will run from 9:00am to 1:00pm each day. If you are dropping off your child at camp, a coach will be on hand to meet your child in front of Gate 3 of Hawkins Field. Camp will begin promptly at 9:00am each day – campers should plan to be at the baseball field between 8:30 and 8:45am. Camp will conclude at 1:00 PM each day. You will be required to sign your child out with his coach at the end of each day.
Sign out will take place at Hawkins Field each day.
Vanderbilt Employee and Military Discount: Full Time Vanderbilt employees and military personnel receive 15% off of the registration cost. Please email Amy Elkus at [email protected] for a discount code.
Check-In: Check-in for Youth Camp will take place on Wednesday, July 5th between 8:15-8:45am at Gate 3 of Hawkins Field. You will be required to check your child in and out each day. The camp is open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender). All grades are for the incoming 2023-2024 school year.
Parking: Whether you are staying for the duration or only dropping off/picking up, you must park in the 25th Avenue Garage visitor parking. Enter through the Highland Avenue entrance and follow the signs and directions. You will have to use the pay machine to pay for your parking space. We cannot guarantee your car is OK if parked anywhere else on campus.
We do not hold the authority to have parking tickets dropped.
Daily Focus: The Vanderbilt Baseball Camp focuses on fundamentals in a fun and energetic atmosphere. The early part of camp is typically defensive and offensive station work with competitive games following at the end of the morning session.
Camp Conclusion: Camp will end promptly at 1:00pm on Thursday, July 6th on Hawkins Field.
Parents Visitation: Parents are welcome to visit the baseball camp at any time. We request that you stay off the playing field while camp is in session.
What to Bring: Vanderbilt is not liable for theft of loss of camper’s personal property so please label all gear!

Refund Policy:
If you are unable to attend camp, a refund can be provided less a $50 processing fee when a request is submitted up to 30 days prior to camp.
Refunds requested within 29 days of the start of camp, or after camp has ended, will not be granted. The camp is staffed based on the number of registered campers and staff changes cannot be made last minute. Please ensure you can attend camp before registering. Circumstances that would allow for an exception to the 30 day policy are as follows:
- Serious illness or injury of a host or player: You’ll be asked to provide a general statement from a physician/physical therapist/athletic trainer confirming that the host or player can’t travel/participate due to the illness or injury.
- Government-mandated obligations including jury duty, travel restrictions, court appearances, and military deployment: You’ll be asked to provide a copy of the official notice dated after the reservation was booked, including the name of the person fulfilling the obligation.
- Airport and road closures, and flight cancellations that make it impossible to travel to camp: This includes closures and cancellations caused by natural disasters like earthquakes or severe storms.
You’ll be asked to provide a notice of the road closure, or notice of the airport closure, or documentation from the airline that the flight was canceled/did not allow you to make it to camp. - Standardized Testing/AP Testing Conflict: If the player registered for camp is unable to make it to camp due to an academic testing conflict, the player will be asked to show proof of testing date signed by a school or testing official.
You’ll be asked to provide a notice of the road closure, or notice of the airport closure, or documentation from the airline that the flight was canceled/did not allow you to make it to camp.Goals
The goal of the Vanderbilt Youth Camp (grades 1-5) is to teach baseball fundamentals in a fun and energetic atmosphere. All players play an active role in camp and are continually involved in drills of all aspects. Participants will generally play in their own age group or grade level. However, we reserve the right to move a camper up in age groups, depending on his ability and skill.
Camper Code of Conduct
Vanderbilt Athletics Camps strives to maintain a fun and safe environment for all participants.
Positive reinforcement is the preferred approach to discipline and all counselors strive to meet that goal. In keeping with our program goals, we encourage fun for all of our participants; however, certain rules are necessary to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment. Campers are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior at all times. Campers shall:
- Listen and follow instructions.
- Remain with the group at all times.
- Show respect to all campers, coaches, staff, equipment, and facilities.
- Refrain from using foul language.
- Refrain from fighting, pushing or shoving. Refrain from causing harm to him/her self or others.
The following activities and/or behaviors pose significant risks to campers and the broader community and are strictly prohibited. Campers who engage in these prohibited activities and/or behavior may be subject to immediate dismissal.
- Insubordination
- Violating the rights of others, including bullying (physical, verbal, or otherwise)
- Damage, vandalism, littering, or theft of Vanderbilt University property, property of a University community member or campus visitor, or other property used during camp
- Violence of any kind, including, without limitation, fighting, assault, physical or verbal intimidation, cyber-bullying and sexual harassment
- Pranks and practical jokes with malicious intent or that pose a threat to camper safety
- Gambling
- Possession, use, manufacture, or distribution of matches, lighters, fireworks, explosives, or other incendiary devices
- Sexual Activity
- Sexual Misconduct
- Tampering with fire alarms or other emergency equipment
- Misuse or distribution of prescription or over-the-counter medications/drugs
- Possession, use, manufacture, or distribution of tobacco, alcohol, or chemical substances

- Violation of federal, state, or local laws

Vanderbilt Baseball 2023 Middle School Camp – July 7th and 8th
Grades: 6-8
Cost: $265
Times: Camp will run from 9:00am to 1:00pm each day. If you are dropping off your child at camp, a coach will be on hand to meet your child at Gate 3 of Hawkins Field. Camp will begin promptly at 9:00am each day – campers should plan to be at Hawkins Field between 8:30 and 8:45am.
Camp will conclude at 1:00 PM each day. You will be required to sign your child out with his coach at the end of each day. Sign out will take place on Hawkins Field each day.

Check-In: Check-in for Middle School Camp will take place on Friday, July 7th between 8:15-8:45am at the front of Hawkins Field (Gate 3). You will be required to check your child in and out each day. The camp is open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender). All grades are for the incoming 2023-2024 school year.
Parking: Whether you are staying for the duration or only dropping off/picking up, you must park in the 25th Avenue Garage visitor parking. Enter through the Highland Avenue entrance and follow the signs and directions.
You will have to use the pay machine to pay for your parking space. We cannot guarantee your car is OK if parked anywhere else on campus. We do not hold the authority to have parking tickets dropped.
Daily Focus: The Vanderbilt Baseball Camp focuses on fundamentals in a fun and energetic atmosphere. The early part of camp is typically defensive and offensive station work with competitive games following at the end of the morning session.
Camp Conclusion: Camp will end promptly at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 8th on Hawkins Field.
Parents Visitation: Parents are welcome to visit the baseball camp at any time. We request that you stay off the playing field while camp is in session.

Refund Policy: If you are unable to attend camp, a refund can be provided less a $50 processing fee when a request is submitted up to 30 days prior to camp.
Refunds requested within 29 days of the start of camp, or after camp has ended, will not be granted. The camp is staffed based on the number of registered campers and staff changes cannot be made last minute. Please ensure you can attend camp before registering. Circumstances that would allow for an exception to the 30 day policy are as follows:
- Serious illness or injury of a host or player: You’ll be asked to provide a general statement from a physician/physical therapist/athletic trainer confirming that the host or player can’t travel/participate due to the illness or injury.
- Government-mandated obligations including jury duty, travel restrictions, court appearances, and military deployment: You’ll be asked to provide a copy of the official notice dated after the reservation was booked, including the name of the person fulfilling the obligation.
- Airport and road closures, and flight cancellations that make it impossible to travel to camp: This includes closures and cancellations caused by natural disasters like earthquakes or severe storms. You’ll be asked to provide a notice of the road closure, or notice of the airport closure, or documentation from the airline that the flight was canceled/did not allow you to make it to camp.
- Standardized Testing/AP Testing Conflict: If the player registered for camp is unable to make it to camp due to an academic testing conflict, the player will be asked to show proof of testing date signed by a school or testing official.
You’ll be asked to provide a notice of the road closure, or notice of the airport closure, or documentation from the airline that the flight was canceled/did not allow you to make it to camp.Goals: The goal of the Vanderbilt Middle School Camp (grades 6-8) is to focus on baseball fundamentals to help the player prepare for the transition to high school baseball. Emphasis will be on individual position play, hitting fundamentals and game play experience. All players play an active role in camp and are continually involved in drills of all aspects. Participants will generally play in their own age group or grade level. However, we reserve the right to move a camper up in age groups, depending on his ability and skill.

• Remain with the group at all times.
• Show respect to all campers, coaches, staff, equipment, and facilities.

• Refrain from fighting, pushing or shoving. Refrain from causing harm to him/her self or others.
The following activities and/or behaviors pose significant risks to campers and the broader community and are strictly prohibited. Campers who engage in these prohibited activities and/or behavior may be subject to immediate dismissal.
• Insubordination
• Violating the rights of others, including bullying (physical, verbal, or otherwise)
• Damage, vandalism, littering, or theft of Vanderbilt University property, property of a University community member or campus visitor, or other property used during camp
• Violence of any kind, including, without limitation, fighting, assault, physical or verbal intimidation, cyber-bullying and sexual harassment
• Pranks and practical jokes with malicious intent or that pose a threat to camper safety
• Gambling
• Possession, use, manufacture, or distribution of matches, lighters, fireworks, explosives, or other incendiary devices
• Sexual Activity
• Sexual Misconduct
• Tampering with fire alarms or other emergency equipment
• Misuse or distribution of prescription or over-the-counter medications/drugs
• Possession, use, manufacture, or distribution of tobacco, alcohol, or chemical substances

• Violation of federal, state, or local laws

Vanderbilt Baseball 2023 High School Prospect Camp
Dates: Camp will begin on Monday, July 10th and conclude on Friday, July 14th.
Cost: $550
Check-In: Check-in will take place on Monday from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at the Indoor Recreation Center/Multipurpose Facility. All campers will be asked to meet in the stands by 2:45pm for camp orientation. The camp is open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).
All grades are for the incoming 2023-2024 school year.
Camp Conclusion: Camp will end at 12:00pm on Friday with an awards ceremony – parents are invited. All campers will be provided with a take away lunch (this lunch is for campers only).

Facilities – Meals: Hawkins Field and the Indoor Recreation Center/Multipurpose Facility will be the site of the High School Prospect Camp.
We will also use adjacent fields on the Vanderbilt campus for instruction and game activity. Dinner will be served on Monday, lunch and dinner will be served Tuesday through Thursday; lunch will be served Friday. Please alert Amy Elkus at [email protected] of any food allergies at least two weeks prior to the start of camp so the cafeteria can be prepared.

Goals of the Camp: The Prospect Camp offers a unique baseball learning opportunity for the high school player who has aspirations of playing baseball at the highest level (college or Pro). The five-day format is very intense with instruction and will have a large emphasis on individual position play, hitting fundamentals and game experience. Players will also have instruction in strength training and baseball agility exercise.
Instruction: Instruction will be directed and conducted by the Vanderbilt coaching staff, headed by Tim Corbin, head coach of the Gold Medal 2006 Team USA, the 2007, 2011, 2013, and 2019 SEC Champions, the 2014 & 2019 National Champions, and the 2015 & 2021 National Runners-Up.
Other instructors at the camp include college coaches, professional players, scouts and top area high school coaches.
Facilities: Hawkins Field is the site of Vanderbilt Baseball Camp and serves as the home to the Commodores. Hawkins Field features a classic baseball park atmosphere coupled with a modern design that includes more than 4,000 seats and a state of the art turf field installed during the summer of 2012. Alongside Hawkins Field sits the Vanderbilt Baseball field House (left field line), a hitting/training facility (outside the left field fence) and an indoor pitching lab (3rd base concourse). The Field House includes coaches’ offices, an equipment room, classroom and locker rooms for current players, coaches and professional (alumni) players.
