How did Caitlin Jackson’s lacrosse career evolve from player to coach. What impact did she have on the Wilton High School girls lacrosse team. Why did Jackson resign after just one successful season as head coach. What lessons did her brief tenure teach players and the lacrosse community.
Caitlin Jackson’s Rise in Lacrosse: From Northwestern Star to High School Coach
Caitlin Jackson’s journey in the world of lacrosse is a testament to her passion and skill for the sport. Her prowess on the field during her college years at Northwestern University set the stage for a promising coaching career. Jackson’s resume boasts an impressive four NCAA Division 1 championships as a player, showcasing her exceptional talent and dedication to the game.
After her successful college career, Jackson took on the role of head coach for the Wilton High School girls lacrosse team. This transition from player to coach marked a new chapter in her lacrosse journey, allowing her to share her expertise and passion with the next generation of players.
A Year of Transformation: Jackson’s Impact on Wilton High School Lacrosse
In less than a year as head coach, Caitlin Jackson made a significant impact on the Wilton High girls lacrosse team. Her influence extended beyond just improving their skills on the field; she instilled valuable life lessons and a renewed love for the game.
- Taught new skills and techniques
- Pushed players to dig deeper mentally and physically
- Fostered a new appreciation for the sport
- Led the team to their second straight FCIAC championship
Under Jackson’s guidance, the Warriors achieved an impressive 18-2 record in her sole season as head coach. This success culminated in a victory over Darien, securing their second consecutive FCIAC championship. The team’s performance in the Class M state tournament was also noteworthy, reaching the quarterfinals before being eliminated by New Canaan.
The Unexpected Departure: Reasons Behind Jackson’s Resignation
Despite the team’s success and the positive impact she had made, Caitlin Jackson made the difficult decision to resign from her position as head coach of the Wilton High girls lacrosse team. This announcement came as a shock to many in the Wilton lacrosse community, especially considering it was just two and a half months after leading the team to their FCIAC championship victory.
Jackson cited two primary reasons for her departure:
- The commute between Manhattan (where she resided) and Wilton
- Her desire to work at the collegiate level
At the age of 24, Jackson had secured a position as an assistant coach at Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y. This opportunity aligned more closely with her career aspirations in collegiate coaching.
Reaction from the Athletic Director
Wilton High athletic director Christy Hayes expressed disappointment but understanding regarding Jackson’s decision. Hayes stated, “She felt bad and we’re very disappointed, but she wants to work at the college level. I didn’t expect her to be a lifer, but I was hoping for a few more years out of her. I certainly don’t regret hiring her. We’re very thankful for the year she gave us.”
Player Reactions: Disappointment Mixed with Understanding
The news of Coach Jackson’s resignation was met with a mix of emotions from the players. While many were understandably upset, there was also a sense of appreciation for the opportunity Jackson had received and the impact she had made during her time with the team.
Liz Reda, one of the team’s returning seniors, shared her thoughts: “I was a little bit upset, but I thought about it and it’s good she got an opportunity like this to coach at college. We’ll miss her and I definitely learned a lot from her. It’s sad she left, but she just got a great opportunity which she should take.”
Junior Casey Pearsall, who had been named one of the team’s captains along with seniors Piper Logan and Sammi Blicht, expressed initial shock but gratitude for the experience of playing under Jackson’s guidance. “It was kind of a shock, yeah,” Pearsall said. “She was a great coach and we were fortunate to have her for the time we did.”
Lessons Learned: The Impact of Jackson’s Brief Tenure
Although Caitlin Jackson’s time as head coach was brief, her impact on the Wilton High girls lacrosse team was significant. Her departure taught the players and the lacrosse community several valuable lessons:
- The importance of seizing opportunities for growth and advancement
- The value of adaptability in the face of unexpected changes
- The lasting impact a coach can have, even in a short period
- The reality that good things don’t always last forever
Jackson’s brief tenure served as a reminder that change is a constant in sports, and that players must be prepared to adapt and learn from each experience, no matter how long or short it may be.
The Legacy of Caitlin Jackson at Wilton High School
Despite her short time as head coach, Caitlin Jackson left an indelible mark on the Wilton High School girls lacrosse program. Her achievements and impact include:
- Leading the team to an impressive 18-2 record
- Securing the team’s second straight FCIAC championship
- Instilling a stronger work ethic and deeper passion for the game
- Preparing players for success both on and off the field
Jackson’s legacy extends beyond just the wins and championships. She helped shape the mindset and skills of her players, preparing them for future challenges both in lacrosse and in life.
The Future of Wilton High School Girls Lacrosse Post-Jackson
With Caitlin Jackson’s departure, the Wilton High School girls lacrosse team faces a new chapter. While the loss of such an accomplished coach is significant, the foundation she laid during her tenure provides a strong base for future success.
Key aspects to consider for the team’s future include:
- The search for a new head coach who can build on Jackson’s success
- Maintaining the team’s momentum and championship-winning culture
- Continuing to develop player skills and mental toughness
- Adapting to a new coaching style while retaining valuable lessons from Jackson’s tenure
The resilience and adaptability demonstrated by the players in response to Jackson’s departure bode well for the team’s ability to navigate this transition successfully.
The Broader Impact: Lessons for High School Sports Programs
Caitlin Jackson’s brief but impactful tenure at Wilton High School offers valuable insights for high school sports programs across the country. Her experience highlights several important considerations:
- The potential benefits and challenges of hiring young, ambitious coaches
- The importance of balancing program stability with coaches’ career aspirations
- The value of maximizing the impact of talented coaches, even if their tenure may be short
- The need for programs to be adaptable and resilient in the face of coaching changes
Jackson’s story serves as a reminder that while continuity in coaching can be beneficial, programs must also be prepared to adapt to changes and leverage the unique strengths of each coach, regardless of the duration of their tenure.
Balancing Ambition and Stability in Coaching Hires
The case of Caitlin Jackson raises important questions about how high school athletic programs can balance the ambition of young coaches with the desire for program stability. How can schools attract talented coaches while also encouraging longer-term commitments? This balance is crucial for maintaining consistent success and player development.
Potential strategies for addressing this challenge include:
- Offering professional development opportunities within the high school coaching role
- Creating mentorship programs that pair young coaches with experienced mentors
- Developing clear career progression pathways within the school or district
- Implementing incentives for coaches who commit to longer tenures
By addressing these aspects, schools can create an environment that nurtures coaching talent while also promoting program stability and long-term success.
The Role of College Aspirations in High School Coaching Careers
Caitlin Jackson’s move to college coaching sheds light on a common trajectory for many talented young coaches. The allure of collegiate coaching often presents a significant draw for those looking to advance their careers in the sport.
Factors that make college coaching attractive to high school coaches include:
- Higher level of competition and player skill
- Increased resources and facilities
- Opportunity to coach full-time without teaching responsibilities
- Potential for greater career advancement and recognition
Understanding these motivations can help high school athletic programs better prepare for and manage coaching transitions, ensuring continuity in their programs despite the potential for turnover.
Bridging the Gap Between High School and College Coaching
To address the challenge of retaining talented coaches who aspire to work at the collegiate level, high school programs might consider implementing strategies that bridge the gap between high school and college coaching. These could include:
- Partnering with local colleges for coaching clinics and workshops
- Creating opportunities for high school coaches to assist or observe college practices
- Developing a network that connects high school and college coaching communities
- Encouraging coaches to pursue advanced certifications and education in coaching
By providing these opportunities, high schools can offer their coaches valuable experience and connections that may satisfy their aspirations while potentially extending their tenure at the high school level.
The Importance of Succession Planning in High School Sports
The sudden departure of a successful coach like Caitlin Jackson underscores the importance of succession planning in high school sports programs. Athletic directors and school administrators must be prepared for unexpected changes in coaching staff to ensure minimal disruption to the team and program.
Key elements of effective succession planning include:
- Identifying and developing potential internal candidates for coaching positions
- Maintaining a network of qualified external candidates
- Documenting successful strategies and practices for program continuity
- Creating a strong team culture that can withstand coaching changes
By implementing robust succession planning, schools can better navigate coaching transitions and maintain program stability and success.
Developing a Coaching Pipeline
One effective approach to succession planning is developing a coaching pipeline within the program. This involves:
- Encouraging former players to return as assistant coaches
- Providing leadership and coaching development opportunities for assistant coaches
- Creating mentorship programs between varsity and junior varsity coaches
- Offering coaching internships or apprenticeships for aspiring coaches
By nurturing coaching talent from within, programs can ensure a pool of qualified candidates who are already familiar with the team’s culture and systems, facilitating smoother transitions when head coaching changes occur.
Maximizing Short-Term Coaching Tenures: Strategies for Success
While longer coaching tenures are often preferred for program stability, the reality of modern sports means that shorter tenures, like Caitlin Jackson’s, are increasingly common. Schools and athletic programs can implement strategies to maximize the benefits of even brief coaching stints:
- Emphasizing knowledge transfer and documentation of coaching methods
- Focusing on building strong team culture and player leadership
- Implementing systems and practices that can outlast individual coaches
- Encouraging coaches to mentor assistant coaches and team captains
By adopting these approaches, programs can ensure that the positive impact of talented coaches extends beyond their tenure, creating lasting benefits for players and the program as a whole.
Leveraging Technology for Coaching Continuity
In today’s digital age, technology can play a crucial role in maintaining coaching continuity and maximizing the impact of short-term coaches. Some technological solutions include:
- Using video analysis software to record and archive successful plays and strategies
- Implementing digital playbooks that can be easily transferred between coaching staff
- Utilizing team management apps for consistent communication and organization
- Creating online repositories of drills, practice plans, and coaching philosophies
By leveraging these technological tools, programs can better preserve and build upon the knowledge and strategies introduced by coaches like Caitlin Jackson, ensuring that their impact continues to benefit the team long after their departure.
The Lasting Impact of Caitlin Jackson: A Case Study in Effective Coaching
Despite the brevity of her tenure, Caitlin Jackson’s impact on the Wilton High School girls lacrosse program serves as a case study in effective coaching and program development. Her experience highlights several key factors that contribute to successful coaching at the high school level:
- The value of bringing high-level playing experience to coaching roles
- The importance of pushing players to reach their full potential
- The role of passion and enthusiasm in inspiring young athletes
- The ability to quickly establish a winning culture and mentality
These elements of Jackson’s coaching style and approach can serve as a model for other high school programs looking to elevate their performance and player development.
Translating Playing Experience into Coaching Success
One of the key factors in Caitlin Jackson’s success was her ability to translate her high-level playing experience into effective coaching strategies. This transition from player to coach involves several important steps:
- Adapting personal playing techniques to be teachable to young athletes
- Developing the ability to communicate complex strategies in simple terms
- Understanding the psychological aspects of coaching versus playing
- Leveraging personal connections and experiences to inspire and motivate players
By successfully navigating this transition, Jackson was able to bring the benefits of her playing career to her coaching role, greatly benefiting the Wilton High School players.

Caitlin Jackson resigns as girls varsity lacrosse coach
WILTON — In less than one year, Caitlin Jackson taught the players on the Wilton High girls lacrosse team quite a lot.
She taught them new skills. She taught them ways to dig deeper, both mentally and physically, than they ever had before. She taught them a new way to love the game.
This summer, Jackson taught the Warriors one more very important, but hard and hurtful lesson: Good things don’t last forever. And, sometimes, they don’t even last an entire year.
Jackson, the Northwestern product whose resume included four NCAA Division 1 championships as a player, submitted her resignation to Wilton High athletic director Christy Hayes on Tuesday, stunning the Wilton lacrosse community just two and a half months after the rookie head coach led her team to its second straight FCIAC championship.
“She felt bad and we’re very disappointed, but she wants to work at the college level,” said Hayes. “I didn’t expect her to be a lifer, but I was hoping for a few more years out of her. I certainly don’t regret hiring her. We’re very thankful for the year she gave us.”
The 24-year-old Jackson, who lives in Manhattan, cited both the commute to and from Wilton and her yearning to work at the college level as reasons for leaving.
She was recently hired as an assistant coach at Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y.
The Warriors went 18-2 under Jackson in her only season, beating Darien for their second straight FCIAC championship. Wilton bowed out of the Class M state tournament in the quarterfinals following a loss to New Canaan.
Players were stunned, though understanding, about the news.
“I was a little bit upset, but I thought about it and it’s good she got an opportunity like this to coach at college,” said Liz Reda, one of the team’s returning seniors. “We’ll miss her and I definitely learned a lot from her. It’s sad she left, but she just got a great opportunity which she should take.”
Junior Casey Pearsall, who has been named one of the team’s captains with seniors Piper Logan and Sammi Blicht, said she was shocked when she first heard the news, but felt fortunate to have played at least one year under Jackson’s tutelage.
“It was kind of a shock, yeah,” Pearsall said. “She was a great coach and we were fortunate enough to have her for at least a year. She’s taking her career to the next level and that’s something we can all respect. We all support her decision.”
None of the players saw the news coming this summer.
Jackson has called players individually to give them the news.
“We didn’t see it coming, but it’s OK,” Pearsall said. “She explained her career path and she has to do what she has to do. At least we had a great season last year.”
Reda isn’t worried about who will end up replacing Jackson.
The school, after all, has proven it will reach out to find the best candidate possible.
“The school will find a good coach, just like they found the past coaches,” Reda said. “Whoever we get, we’ll learn from and work with, and we’ll come out and have another great season.”
Wilton’s 18-2 record was its second-best season, percentage-wise, in the program’s 17-year history.
Only the 2004 season when Wilton went 21-1 with both the FCIAC and state championship was better.
“The kids loved her,” said Hayes. “I’m sorry to see her go.”
The Wilton AD said while the lacrosse season is still a ways off, he was hoping to hire a coach during the fall.
Jackson could not be reached for comment as of press time, despite repeated attempts and messages left to her cell phone.
Caitlin Jackson Brings New Attitude and Hard Work to Wilton Girls Lacrosse
The Wilton girls lacrosse program has a new face, as Caitlin Jackson is beginning her first season as the Warriors’ coach.
A Norwell, Massachusetts native and former UConn women’s assistant, Jackson takes over for Cindy Wiseman and Ciara Thurlow, who stepped down as co-coaches in September, citing a desire to spend more time with their families.
Jackson will have a tough act to follow, as Wiseman and Thurlow posted a career record of 141-30-3 in eight years, including an FCIAC championship last season.
In the FCIAC semifinals, the Warriors defeated Darien, 17-16 in a triple-overtime classic, then downed Darien in the final to capture their first FCIAC crown in five years.
However, Jackson is used to success, having won four NCAA national titles as a player at Northwestern. Jackson also has coached at the youth, high school and club levels.
The transition at Wilton has been easier than one might expect with a new coaching staff as Jackson credits Wiseman and Thurlow for the knowledge and majority level of the players.
“I get more with these girls,” Jackson said. “They need to be willing to work.”
Jackson will be assisted by Merri Adamicki Meyran, the former coach at Los Alamitos High School, the two time California International Federation champions.
A two time All-American and former graduate assistant at Towson University, Meyran was named the Orange County Coach of the Year in 2009 and 2010. Los Alamitos went undefeated each season.
Meyran also was on the United States 2001-2002 developmental team before moving to California, where she started and ran youth programs in Orange County for a few years.
She then rapidly built the girls lacrosse program at Los Alamitos to national recognition. In four seasons, she posted a record of 61-7-1, including 41-0 the last two seasons.
Both coaches are employees at New Lax Lacrosse in Manhattan New York, where they serve as co-directors. Meyran also helps with player development.
“I came to Wilton High School for the opportunity to work with great student-athletes who are dedicated to lacrosse,” Meyran said. “Caitlin and I are focused on taking this very young team to the next level.”
Wilton, which graduated 10 seniors, opens its new era on Wednesday at Norwalk (7 p.m.)
“I’m really just excited for the opportunity to be working with the Wilton girls,” Meyran said.
“Our goals as a coaching staff are to make an impact quickly and guide this team as far into the post season as possible. I’m passionate about lacrosse and I love being out there every day.”
Athletes Unlimited | Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse looks to grow the game for the present and future – Athletes Unlimited
The games, which were seen as major events and brought together anywhere from hundreds to thousands of people, made a mark across many countries including Scotland, where the first women’s game was recorded to have been played in 1890.
Now, hundreds of years later, the top athletes in the country will come together to play in the inaugural Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse season in the DC metro area at Maureen Hendricks Field.
“All of the data on sports participation and the effect it has on one’s life in terms of professional outcomes and personal image are extremely positive, and that has become a very valuable point of inspiration,” said co-founder of Athletes Unlimited Jonathan Soros.
Besides bringing together the best players to compete with and against each other, the unique scoring system that allows athletes to lose and win points individually, and for their team, presents an innovative level of play the sport hasn’t seen before.
“It puts team performance at the height of it but adds to it this layer of every single moment counting throughout the entire season,” Soros said.
Athletes Unlimited’s dedication to creating a new model of the sport that is driven by fan and player engagement is what has drawn the interest of many to take part in the innovation including Athletes Unlimited Senior Manager Caitlin Jackson.
“I think one of the things Athletes Unlimited brings in is this aspect of civic leadership and athlete-led and I think that’s something lacrosse has been hungry for,” Jackson said. “It’s innovating in its model; it’s innovating regardless of gender and it speaks to so many people.”
What Jackson looks forward to the most is the ability to watch women’s lacrosse be played at the top level.
“In theory, we’ve really never seen what the highest level of women’s lacrosse is because we’ve never put this many people in one place, for this long at one time with this much lacrosse talent and knowledge,” Jackson said. “That is what I’m most excited about. It’s like putting gasoline on a fire, I just can’t wait to see it go up.”
Seeing women’s lacrosse being played at a high level isn’t foreign, but for CEO and Co-Founder of Athletes Unlimited Jon Patricof, what sets this league apart is the passion, dedication and resources that is being poured into this upcoming season.
“It’s not just enough to bring the players together and ask them to do their best. What we need to do as a league and what we are doing as a league is surrounding them with the resources and support that’s worthy of their talent,” Patricof said.
One of the ways Athletes Unlimited has invested in the players is through collaboration on decision making, including seeing and choosing the location for the season.
“The key for a successful league in our belief and Athletes Unlimited as a whole has been a partnership with the athletes,” Patricof said. “As opposed to making top-down decisions and seeing what happens, we have always said let’s decide these things together.”
After the Women’s Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL) announced the cancellation of the 2020 season due to the ongoing COVID-19 in April of last year, WPLL CEO Michele DeJuliis was passionate about the opportunity to transform into Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse.
“I personally just wanted to see pro women’s lacrosse get to where it needed to be. I could only do so much with our league and our resources,” DeJuliis, who became a Senior Director at Athletes Unlimited, said. “Knowing how much [Patricof and Soros] were pouring into supporting women’s pro sports, I was like, ‘This is the direction we need to go and I’m all in, let’s make this happen.’”
Defender Amber McKenzie thought her playing career might have ended after the cancellation. McKenzie, who was the first lacrosse player signed with Athletes Unlimited, is now ready to get back into the game and show that she is still capable of competing at an elite level.
“I felt incomplete and wanted to prove to myself I could come back after having my two boys and still compete at a high level so I decided that I needed to play in this new league,” McKenzie said.
Not only does she want to inspire young women in the sport, but being able to have her two sons look up to her is even more motivating.
“It’s very empowering to me for them to be playing while I’m working out and seeing mommy is doing something for herself that she is really passionate about, and I am so happy they get to see me training for this every day,” McKenzie said.
With Athletes Unlimited, McKenzie and DeJuliis, who is also a former player, will be growing the game through the upcoming season and for the next generation through the Athletes Unlimited Futures Program – a mentorship program for elite middle and high school players.
“Everything I do I love doing so I’m fortunate and I feel like I owe so much to the sport and to all the people that taught me and gave me opportunities,” DeJuliis said. “It is an incredible opportunity to get our hands and make an impact on our nation’s next generation of great lacrosse players and leaders.”
For McKenzie, being a part of Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse means getting to show the next generation of women’s lacrosse players that there is a future for them in the sport, something she didn’t often see.
“We care so passionately about our sport, that we want them to be able to graduate college and know that there is a professional league that they can play in,” McKenzie said. “When I graduated college in 2009, that wasn’t even on my radar. I just want the younger generation to know there is professional lacrosse out there.”
In the process of inspiring the next generation of women’s lacrosse players, they also hope to make an impact on an even greater audience.
“These women, you are going to be blown away by their athleticism, by their skills, by their personalities, by their teamwork,” DeJuliis said. “It’s going to be exciting and people are going to fall in love with this sport.”
Women’s Professional Lacrosse League: What You Need to Know
The Women’s Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL) has been slowly releasing details on the league – its leadership personnel, players registered in its draft, and more – since it announced its launch on June 1. Here’s a rundown of what you might have missed, and a look at some of the major announcements the league has made this week:
The mastermind behind the league is former Team USA great Michele DeJuliis.
The former World Champion is the WPLL’s Founder and CEO, after serving as the Commissioner of the UWLX in its inaugural run in 2016. This is what she had to say about the league when she announced it back in June:
“The WPLL is a two-part operation: it is both a professional lacrosse league and a development program for rising talent in our sport,” says WPLL’s Founder, Michele DeJuliis. “Though our obvious focus is lacrosse development, our practicum – for both professional players and rising talent – prioritizes character development as means to excelling in life on and off the field.
“This game just continues to get better and better. The athletes are bigger, stronger, faster and more skilled. The pace of the games that we watch today is incredible. The WPLL will continue to push boundaries and innovate the way the game is played. Providing an opportunity for players to freely showcase their expert talent, while also connecting them with our future generation of players in a meaningful way on and off of the field, is the very foundation of the Women’s Professional Lacrosse League… The WPLL and our programs are designed to support the growth of girls and women to excel in life, which includes encouraging their dreams, supporting their pursuit of them and fostering an environment in which they can practice creating and innovating. ”
DeJuliis has tabbed the G.O.A.T. – aka Jen Adams – as the league’s commissioner.
Okay, okay – she doesn’t go by “great of all-time,” …but she is, so that’s what I like to call her. Adams brings her wealth of knowledge as a player and coach spanning all levels – collegiate, internationally and from the UWLX ranks in 2016 – to the WPLL as its first-ever commissioner.
Here’s what she had to say on joining the WPLL ranks, and working alongside DeJuliis:
“Michele is one of the great visionaries in our game. She has an incredible sense of knowledge and professionalism, and is passionate about providing a platform for athletes at all levels to play the sport,” says Adams. “[We] have always had a great working relationship built on respect. We share a lot of common goals and are both creative in our thinking about where we can take the game in to the future. We know it is important to create an extremely exciting and sustainable brand that people can trust with the WPLL. After every conversation with Michele, I am inspired and empowered to help make this league the pinnacle of professional women’s lacrosse and development.”
Bonus: Adams is the NCAA Rules Committee Chair – heading up a committee that just approved free movement in the women’s collegiate game, among other changes. I’m excited to see what Adams and DeJuliis have up their sleeves in terms of new and exciting rules we might see on the WPLL playing field.
There will be five teams in the WPLL, which opens play summer 2018.
Yesterday, the WPLL announced its five teams that will take the field in its inaugural season next summer. They are:
The league’s inaugural draft will be streamed on Lax Sports Network later this month.
The WPLL announced Wednesday that its draft will be streamed live on Lax Sports Network from its studio in Woburn, Mass., on Aug. 23. A total of 100 players will be drafted – 20 to each of its five teams. A collegiate draft will also take place in the spring, following the NCAA season.
Some of the biggest names in the sport are in the draft.
The league has slowly rolled out some of the players who have entered the draft on its Instagram account – a registrant pool that includes players spanning all three divisions – since early June. Players the likes of three-time Tewaaraton winner Taylor Cummings, former All-American and Team USA defender Amber (Falcone) McKenzie, two-time Tewaaraton winner and now-Michigan head coach Hannah Nielsen, Syracuse great and U.S. wunderkind Kayla Treanor, among others, all dot the line as players who’ve registered for a spot in the WPLL.
Devon Wills is taking on a crucial role.
The three-time World Champion closed out her summer capturing a pair of gold medals with Team USA in the World Cup and the World Games, and while she won’t be taking the field in the WPLL, she’ll be taking on arguably a much greater role as its Director of Player Relations.
Here’s what she had to say on that back in June:
“The WPLL is a league for lacrosse players designed by lacrosse players and our goals are the same: to grow the sport. This league allows the best of the best to showcase their skills and creativity, while being role models to the future lacrosse stars. The league will be highly competitive; and competition breeds innovation. I cannot wait to work with the players of the WPLL and to see what they do for the game.”
Remember Rachael Becker? Well, now she’s Rachael DeCecco, and she’s playing a pretty big role, too.
Rachael Becker is known for a great many things in the sport of women’s lacrosse – especially in Princeton, N.J. – but when I hear that name the first thing that comes to mind is: The only defender to ever have won a Tewaaraton trophy in the women’s game. Well, since capturing that trophy and representing Team USA in the 2005 World Cup, DeCecco has worked in the senior living and nonprofit world for the past 12 years. She will now head up the WPLL’s Foundation efforts.
Here’s what she has to say:
“I am thrilled to be part of this amazing organization. We have created the WPLL Foundation to help provide both a professional lacrosse experience for young women, as well as a proving ground for leadership and character building for thousands of young girls,” says DeCecco. “We hope to create a generation of women leaders whose impact extends far beyond the lacrosse field.
“The foundation will support programming across all levels of the organization. These programs are designed to support the growth of girls and women to excel in life, which includes encouraging their dreams, supporting their pursuit of them and fostering an environment in which they can practice creativity and innovation. In short, teaching how life skills can be learned during lacrosse team participation – such as all-important interpersonal / emotional intelligence competencies and bravery.”
Caitlin Jackson will act as COO.
When DeJuliis announced that DeCecco will head up the WPLL’s Foundation, she also announced that four-time national champion and Northwestern alum Caitlin Jackson would act as the WPLL’s COO. “I am honored to have the chance to be a part of the Women’s Professional Lacrosse League and, am thankful to Michele DeJuliis for the opportunity to contribute to the growth of our sport through opportunities for women and girls,” said Jackson on assuming the role of COO.

eBay (USA) Ukraine – purchase and delivery from eBay (America) to Ukraine – eBay intermediary
Ebay product catalog (USA)
Making orders in foreign online stores is a popular format for buying various goods. The modern buyer gets the opportunity to buy a quality item at the lowest price. American sellers are particularly popular as they offer a wide range of high quality products.
EBay is a popular platform for ordering and delivering goods from the USA
One of the most popular marketplaces where you can place orders for American products is the eBay auction. Recently, it has been gaining momentum in Ukraine, as more and more buyers seek to purchase goods via the Internet: it is convenient, quick and easy. You can familiarize yourself with the full range of products, find out the current prices and place an order without leaving your home.
Reasons for the popularity of the Ebey trading platform:
- a wide range of products: here you can buy clothes or shoes from the United States for the whole family, various accessories, cosmetics, products for an active lifestyle and sports, even various car parts are sold here;
- minimum prices: you buy products directly from the seller, which makes it possible not to overpay for additional services;
- opportunity to participate in the auction: if you want to purchase the selected item at the minimum cost, you can open an auction by making and increasing your own bids.
For many buyers, the process of placing orders directly from Ebey is associated with certain difficulties. You may not trust the seller or do not know English to be sure that the terms of purchase stated on the site are suitable for you. Megazakaz makes the process of buying goods in US stores easier, more convenient and safer.
Advantages of ordering on eBay through an intermediary Megazakaz
With the help of the Megazakaz portal, you can safely make purchases and participate in auctions on foreign trading floors. We take care of your interests, offering comprehensive assistance as an intermediary:
- forget about the language barrier – you can discuss all questions arising in the process of choosing and placing an order, participating in auctions with our managers;
- we guarantee the safety and integrity of products during their delivery to Ukraine: in the case of buying fragile items according to your order, we carry out additional packaging and are responsible for its safety;
- in case of problematic situations (for example, upon receipt of an order, you found a discrepancy between the product and the description on the website), we, as an intermediary, negotiate with sellers in order to defend your interests and satisfy complaints;
- When ordering an additional service, we check the products even before they are shipped from the warehouse in America and, if necessary, send them back, returning the full cost of the goods to the buyer.
Payment and delivery
To make a purchase through an intermediary, you need to place an order and make an advance payment. US sellers only ship after 100% payment has been made. After that, your order is transported to a warehouse in America, from where it will be delivered to Ukraine. After the order arrives in the country, you can pick it up yourself from our office in Odessa.
Delivery of goods across Ukraine is carried out with the help of the transport companies “New Mail” and “Intime”.As soon as your purchase is completed, an SMS with the number of the consignment note (TTN) will be sent to your phone. Megazakaz will cover delivery costs.

Best Teen TV Shows | Blog for Life
Not everyone pays attention to TV shows made for teenagers, because adults generally view them as frivolous. And to be honest, a lot of them are bad or outdated.
Foreign series about school do not cover all aspects of school experience and, in general, because of this, they are mostly interesting. Sometimes realism is the last thing a good teenage drama needs. Who wants to watch realistic teens suffer from acne and humiliating situations? After all, you can look at actors playing teenagers, but looking like they are in their thirties, who are constantly parting and falling in love with each other again, beautiful and cheerful? And of course, teenage TV shows show not only school, but also friendship and relationships with peers and adults, about how young people live. Not always in the realities of the real world.
Nobody wants to go back to real school, but everyone wants to get into the serial.

Serena’s best friend, Blair, is as surprised as everyone else that Serena suddenly changed her mind about studying abroad and returned to Manhattan. The tension between them did not go unnoticed for Gossip Girl, who reveals any secret and makes all scandals public.
Does this have to do with Serena’s brother Eric, Blair’s boyfriend, Nate, or Nate’s friend Chuck? Maybe it has something to do with Dan and his sister Jenny, whose middle-class backgrounds keep them at a distance from privileged students.Even parents ranging from Serena’s mother, Lily, a former photojournalist and Nate’s influential father, Hoovey, to Rufus, Dan’s and Jenny’s father, now an art gallery owner and former lead singer of a rock band, are aware of the impact of Gossip Girl on the lives of their offspring. However, the main intrigue remains a mystery: who is Gossip Girl?
