How does Bownet’s lacrosse equipment enhance player performance. What features make Bownet’s products stand out in the market. Why are Bownet’s portable barriers and goals preferred by coaches and parents worldwide.
The Innovative Bownet Halo Lacrosse Barrier Net
Bownet’s Halo Lacrosse Barrier Net is a game-changer for lacrosse practice and training. This 12′ wide x 9′ tall barrier provides exceptional protection and versatility for players, coaches, and spectators alike. The large Raschel net effectively blocks and catches wide shots, ensuring a safer practice environment and reducing ball retrieval time.
One of the standout features of the Halo Barrier Net is its compatibility with any standard full-size lacrosse goal on the market. This universal fit makes it an excellent investment for teams and facilities that may use different goal types. Additionally, the barrier helps players visualize shooting practice on the corners and perimeters of the goal, improving accuracy and precision.
Energy Absorption System™ (EAS™) Technology
Bownet’s proprietary EAS™ technology sets their products apart from competitors. This innovative system offers several benefits:
- Reduces stress and tension on the netting
- Extends the lifespan of the net
- Creates a more balanced backstop
- Adds flexibility and stability upon impact
By diffusing ball energy throughout the net, the EAS™ technology ensures that the Halo Barrier Net maintains its integrity and performance over time, providing a reliable training tool for years to come.
Durability and Stability: The Hallmarks of Bownet Design
Bownet’s commitment to quality is evident in the construction of their lacrosse equipment. The Halo Barrier Net features BOW™ poles and a powder-coated steel frame, ensuring durability and longevity. Non-marking rubber feet on the frame serve a dual purpose:
- Preventing damage to indoor floors
- Providing stability and traction for both indoor and outdoor use
This attention to detail makes Bownet’s products suitable for a wide range of playing environments, from school gymnasiums to outdoor fields.
Quick Setup and Portability
In today’s fast-paced sports world, efficiency is key. Bownet understands this, which is why they’ve designed their Halo Barrier Net to be set up in just 85 seconds with two people. This rapid deployment is achieved without the need for pull straps, screws, or tools, making it the fastest setup on the market.
The lightweight design of the barrier net allows for easy maneuverability across fields or gyms. When practice is over, the barrier can be quickly collapsed and stored in the provided roller case, measuring 53″ x 10″ x 9″. This compact storage solution makes transportation and storage a breeze, ideal for teams that move between different practice locations.
Bownet’s Full-Size Lacrosse Goal: A Perfect Match for the Halo Barrier
While the Halo Barrier Net is compatible with any standard full-size lacrosse goal, Bownet offers their own 6’x6′ Full-Size Lacrosse Goal that pairs perfectly with the barrier. This goal embodies the same principles of durability, portability, and ease of use that characterize all Bownet products.
The full-size goal likely features similar construction elements as the barrier, such as the BOW™ poles and powder-coated steel frame. This consistency in design ensures that teams using both the goal and barrier benefit from a cohesive and reliable training setup.
Expanding the Practice Zone: Bownet’s 4′ Box Lacrosse Goal
For those looking to diversify their training options, Bownet also offers a 4′ Box Lacrosse Goal. Box lacrosse, typically played indoors, requires a smaller goal than the traditional field version. Bownet’s 4′ goal caters to this specialized need, allowing players to practice for both field and box lacrosse scenarios.
While specific details about the 4′ Box Lacrosse Goal are limited in the provided information, it’s reasonable to assume that it shares many of the quality features found in Bownet’s other products, such as quick setup, durability, and portability.

Enhanced Safety Measures
Safety is a top priority in any sport, and lacrosse is no exception. The Halo Barrier Net’s ability to catch and block wide shots reduces the risk of injury to players, coaches, and bystanders during practice. This added layer of protection allows players to train with greater confidence and intensity, knowing that errant shots are less likely to cause harm.
Improved Shot Accuracy
The visual aid provided by the Halo Barrier Net in highlighting the corners and perimeters of the goal is invaluable for developing precise shooting skills. Players can better visualize their target areas, leading to more accurate shots during games. This targeted practice can be the difference between scoring and missing in high-pressure situations.

The football net is 120 years old!

FOOTBALL: Shinnik (Yaroslavl)
Mikhail KONTUEV the holiday is treated a little frivolously
Today, March 23, is its 120th Anniversary celebrates… football grid! The idea to stretch the net between the goalposts came to the mind of civil engineer Brodie when he witnessed another dispute between football teams over a goal. In 1889In the same year, an Englishman received a patent for a net for football, lacrosse and other similar games. And although the engineer had other, more serious achievements, it was the football stack that brought him fame and money. According to the British newspaper The Independent, the net was first put on a goal in a football match between Nottingham Forest and Bolton Wanderes in 1890, and it was so effective that the Football Association of England made the use of the net mandatory.
In Yaroslavl, in the football club “Shinnik” they know about this holiday, but they treat it a little lightly.
– It’s really an interesting holiday, – director of the “Shinnik” stadium Yury Bratchenko admitted. – Of course, we do not consider it a special reason to celebrate it, but nevertheless, on this day, we remember the history of the grid and say “thank you for the idea”.
Actually, Yaroslavl residents have no reasons to associate any events with this date. Even the old-timers of Shinnik cannot remember anything interesting happening to the football nets at the club. As they say, grids “live” their own life and do not touch anyone.
– The only story, probably, happened in 2007, when we entered the Premier League, – they recall one incident in Shinnik. – After the last match, the fans ran onto the field, attacked the goal, broke it and tore the net.
BTW
The moment of scoring a goal remains the subject of heated debate during football matches. Nowadays, a net barrier is no longer enough to determine whether a goal was scored or not. So, in matches held by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), they use additional referees standing behind the gates. For example, the games of the European Championship, which will be held in 2012 in Poland and Ukraine, will be served by an expanded refereeing team. It is possible that soon the football goal line will be controlled electronically
