Picking up the puck behind the opponent’s goal, he hooked it on the hook of the stick and in one movement threw it into the near corner of the goal Gustav Lindvall . In hockey, such abandoned pucks are usually called “lacrosse goals”, and in the NHL they have already succeeded twice for the Russian forward of the Carolinas Andrey Svechnikov .
However, throwing lacrosse at the age of 16 in his second match for the national team, thus becoming the youngest scorer in its history, is, of course, an extraordinary event for Michkov himself, and, probably, for the entire Russian hockey.
Unfortunately, the feat of the youngest hockey player did not help the team of Sergei Zubov to impose a serious struggle on the Swedes. If in the first match of the Karjala Cup the Russian team was let down by indiscipline and unjustified removals, then in the game with the Swedes it played extremely unsuccessfully in defense. Suffice it to say that the Swedish hockey players scored all four goals against Yaroslav Askarov directly from the spot – the defenders of the Russian national team either lost to martial arts rivals, or simply simply did not keep up with them. Twice after the goals conceded, the Russian team quickly managed to bounce back (the second goal against Sweden scored Artem Galimov ), but the second half of the meeting was already completely dictated by the Swedes.
