How does the Custom Cascade S Lacrosse Helmet enhance player safety. What innovative features set it apart from other helmets. Why is the Custom Cascade S considered the pinnacle of lacrosse helmet design.
The Evolution of Lacrosse Helmet Technology: Introducing the Custom Cascade S
The Custom Cascade S Lacrosse Helmet represents a significant leap forward in player protection, comfort, and performance. As the sport of lacrosse continues to evolve, so too does the equipment designed to keep athletes safe and enhance their gameplay. The Custom Cascade S embodies the latest advancements in helmet technology, setting a new standard for what players can expect from their protective gear.
Unparalleled Protection Through Multi-Layered Technology
At the core of the Custom Cascade S’s design is its commitment to player safety. The helmet incorporates three distinct liner technologies, each engineered to address specific types of impacts that players may encounter on the field.
- GEN4 EPP: This advanced material is specifically designed to manage variable force impacts to the front of the helmet and face mask.
- NV3: A high-performance impact foam that provides maximum protection to the crown of the head, maintaining its shape and comfort even under significant impact.
- Seven Technology: This innovative material compresses on impact to laterally displace energy and quickly resets, making it ideal for managing repeated impacts to the side and rear of the helmet.
How do these technologies work together to protect players? The combination of these materials creates a comprehensive defense system against the diverse range of impacts a lacrosse player might experience during a game or practice. From high-speed collisions to repetitive smaller impacts, the Custom Cascade S is engineered to absorb and dissipate force effectively, reducing the risk of injury to the player.
Enhancing Player Comfort and Performance with Innovative Design Features
Beyond its protective capabilities, the Custom Cascade S is designed to enhance player comfort and performance on the field. Several key features contribute to its superior wearability and functionality:
SuperMono S Shell: Balancing Protection and Weight Distribution
The SuperMono S Shell is a one-piece shell and visor design that creates a rigid system to manage frontal impacts. By moving the center of gravity to the middle crown, this design keeps the helmet’s weight balanced and aligned, reducing strain on the player’s neck and improving overall comfort during extended wear.
XFlo Ventilation: Keeping Players Cool Under Pressure
Proper ventilation is crucial for player comfort and performance, especially during intense gameplay. The Custom Cascade S features expanded ventilation ports that increase breathability by 200%. This XFlo system allows cool air to flow through the helmet and out the rear exhaust, helping to regulate the player’s temperature and reduce discomfort caused by heat and sweat buildup.
Hardtail SPRfit: Customizable Fit for Maximum Comfort
Achieving a proper fit is essential for both comfort and protection. The Custom Cascade S incorporates the Hardtail SPRfit system, which combines with three customizable jaw pads to create a 360-degree contoured fit. This system can be micro-adjusted on the fly, allowing players to fine-tune their helmet’s fit even during gameplay.
How does a proper fit contribute to player safety and performance? A well-fitted helmet not only enhances comfort but also ensures that the protective elements of the helmet are positioned correctly to absorb impacts effectively. Additionally, a secure fit reduces distractions, allowing players to focus fully on their performance on the field.
Vision and Awareness: The VisionBar Advantage
In a fast-paced sport like lacrosse, clear vision and situational awareness are critical. The Custom Cascade S introduces the VisionBar, a feature designed to enhance players’ field of view without compromising protection.
What makes the VisionBar unique? The VisionBar utilizes PowerPress technology to decrease wire diameter on the top bar, improving sight lines while simultaneously increasing face mask rigidity. This innovative design ensures that the ball is never out of sight, allowing players to track the action more effectively and react with greater speed and precision.
The Impact of Improved Vision on Player Performance
Enhanced vision can significantly impact a player’s performance on the field. With clearer sight lines, players can:
- Better track the movement of the ball and other players
- Make more accurate passes and shots
- Improve reaction times to incoming shots or checks
- Enhance overall situational awareness, leading to better decision-making
By prioritizing vision alongside protection, the Custom Cascade S empowers players to perform at their highest level while maintaining crucial safety standards.
Material Innovation: The Science Behind the Safety
The Custom Cascade S’s superior performance is largely due to the advanced materials used in its construction. Each component is carefully selected and engineered to provide optimal protection, comfort, and durability.
Understanding EPP: The Foundation of Front Impact Protection
Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) is a key material in the Custom Cascade S’s protective arsenal. What makes EPP an ideal choice for lacrosse helmets? EPP is a closed-cell foam known for its excellent energy absorption properties, high strength-to-weight ratio, and ability to withstand multiple impacts without significant degradation. These characteristics make it particularly well-suited for protecting against the varied and repeated impacts common in lacrosse.
NV3: High-Performance Impact Foam for Crown Protection
The NV3 foam used in the crown of the Custom Cascade S represents the latest in impact protection technology. This high-performance foam is designed to maintain its protective properties even after multiple impacts, ensuring consistent protection throughout the helmet’s lifespan. The precise molding of the NV3 foam allows it to integrate seamlessly with the helmet’s shell, creating a unified protective system that doesn’t compromise on comfort.
Seven Technology: Revolutionary Impact Management
Perhaps one of the most innovative aspects of the Custom Cascade S is its incorporation of Seven Technology. How does Seven Technology work to protect players? This advanced material is designed to compress upon impact, laterally displacing energy to reduce the force transmitted to the player’s head. Crucially, Seven Technology resets within seconds, ready to protect against subsequent impacts. This rapid reset capability is particularly valuable in lacrosse, where players may experience multiple impacts in quick succession.
Customization and Style: Making the Helmet Your Own
While safety and performance are paramount, the Custom Cascade S also recognizes the importance of style and team identity in sports. The helmet offers extensive customization options, allowing players and teams to create a unique look that reflects their personality or team branding.
Customization Options for the Custom Cascade S
What customization options are available for the Custom Cascade S? Players and teams can personalize their helmets in several ways:
- Color selection for the shell, facemask, and various trim elements
- Custom decals and wraps to display team logos or individual numbers
- Chin strap color options
- Visor customization, including tint options for enhanced glare reduction
How does customization impact team cohesion and player confidence? Customized helmets can foster a sense of unity among team members and boost individual player confidence. When players feel good about their appearance on the field, it can translate into improved performance and team morale.
Maintenance and Longevity: Ensuring Lasting Protection
Investing in a high-quality lacrosse helmet like the Custom Cascade S is a significant decision for players and teams. To ensure that the helmet continues to provide optimal protection and performance throughout its lifespan, proper maintenance is crucial.
Best Practices for Helmet Care and Maintenance
How can players and teams maintain their Custom Cascade S helmets for optimal performance and longevity? Here are some key maintenance tips:
- Regular Cleaning: Clean the helmet after each use with mild soap and water to remove dirt, sweat, and bacteria.
- Proper Storage: Store the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent material degradation.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the helmet for any signs of damage, such as cracks in the shell or worn padding.
- Hardware Check: Ensure all screws and fittings are tight and in good condition.
- Replacement Schedule: Follow manufacturer guidelines for helmet replacement, typically every 2-3 years or sooner if significant damage occurs.
Why is proper maintenance so important for lacrosse helmets? Regular care not only extends the life of the helmet but also ensures that it continues to provide the level of protection it was designed for. A well-maintained helmet is more likely to perform as intended in critical moments, potentially preventing serious injuries.
The Future of Lacrosse Helmet Technology: What’s Next?
As impressive as the Custom Cascade S is, the field of sports equipment technology is constantly evolving. Looking ahead, what developments might we see in future lacrosse helmet designs?
Potential Advancements in Lacrosse Helmet Technology
Several areas of innovation could shape the next generation of lacrosse helmets:
- Smart Helmet Technology: Integration of sensors to monitor impact forces and alert players or coaches to potential concussion risks.
- Advanced Materials: Development of new synthetic materials that offer even better protection-to-weight ratios.
- Improved Ventilation Systems: Further advancements in airflow design to enhance player comfort and reduce heat-related fatigue.
- Customized Fit Technology: Implementation of 3D scanning and printing to create helmets tailored to individual player head shapes.
- Enhanced Vision Systems: Continued refinement of face mask designs to further improve player visibility without compromising protection.
How might these advancements impact the sport of lacrosse? As helmet technology continues to evolve, players may benefit from increased safety, comfort, and performance. This could potentially lead to changes in playing styles and strategies, as players feel more confident and protected on the field.
The Custom Cascade S Lacrosse Helmet represents the current pinnacle of lacrosse helmet design, offering unparalleled protection, comfort, and performance. As the sport continues to grow and evolve, so too will the technology that keeps players safe and helps them perform at their best. For now, the Custom Cascade S stands as a testament to the incredible advancements in sports equipment technology, providing players with the tools they need to push their limits on the lacrosse field safely and confidently.

Materials
True Helmet Decal Material – 20 mil
Our proprietary formulation of materials is thick, conforming to helmets and easy to apply. They are formulated to conform to the curve of your helmet and can “take a hit.”
Material for Major Universities
Our decals are manufactured for major NCAA college programs all over the US. You can be certain that you are buying the best material possible for your college, school, youth or masters lacrosse team!
When you choose a helmet decal manufacturer, it is important that they are not using cut vinyl, that will not conform properly to the helmets and will peel and bubble. Also, some “wrap only” companies print on a thin material that is very difficult to apply.
FAQ
1. What if I only need one to three wraps for girls goalie helmets?
Our designers have pricing for small runs and “one offs”. Please call and ask.
2. What if my team has multiple helmet styles?
Don’t wear all of the same brand helmets? Simply add $20.00 per helmet style, that doesn’t meet the 15 minimum, to your order!
Do not worry, because our designers will do a full written estimate before you commit to the order.
3. Will I need a blow dryer or any other special equipment to apply my wraps?
No. We use a proprietary material that is made to be easy to apply, with no special equipment.

Bauer Custom Ims9.0 Helmet in SportDepot
Bauer Custom Ims9.0 Helmet
BAUER CUSTOM IMS 9.0 Hockey Helmet is a professional model, which perfectly combines a low-profile design with a professional level of protection. The helmet shell is made of impact-resistant polycarbonate and has a two-piece design. The base cushioning layer under the body is made of Vertex foam, which is 20% lighter than classic EPP foam and effectively absorbs the energy of strong impacts. At the same time, the foam is softer, which ensures comfort when using the helmet. VN foam is used as a liner in contact with the player’s head, which provides a snug and most comfortable fit due to its pliability. The sidewalls of the helmet feature Poron XRD foam inserts that absorb up to 90% of impact energy and provide effective side impact protection. In the temporal part there are inserts made of soft foam, which has a memory effect. These inserts reduce the pressure of the helmet on the temporal part of the head, creating additional comfort when using this model. The inner part of the helmet has Microban antibacterial protection, which prevents the formation of unpleasant odors during the operation of the helmet. The vents located in the case are not blocked by the inner filling, which ensures a constant flow of air into the interior space and quickly removes excess heat from the player’s head. A transparent plastic element with a stiffening rib provides effective protection for the ear. The helmet can be adjusted longitudinally without the use of a tool with the Occipital Lock clip. The helmet is HECC, CSA certified and compatible with most face masks, face masks and visors.

Goalkeeper Helmet History
Lefty Wilson is considered one of the earliest designers and manufacturers of masks. While still coaching the Detroit Red Wings, he understood that a revolution in the world of goalkeeper equipment would soon take place, and became one of the pioneers. His masks were simple: they protected only the face, had large openings for the eyes, but still went down in history.
In 1970, ordinary Ottawa firefighter Jim Homuth decided to make goalkeeper masks. Jim spent a lot of time studying the features of fiberglass. It was rumored that he worked with engineers at the National Research Center of Canada to create a more durable fiberglass mask. The fundamental difference between this mask was the absence of flat surfaces on it – this made it possible to ricochet the puck and reduce the impact force. One of the earliest adopters of collar masks was Gary Smith of the Chicago Blackhawks.
Later on, many goalkeepers began to wear collar masks. Billy Smith, Ken Dryden, Gerry Desjardins, Gilles Gratton and many others.
Jacques Plant founded a company called Fibrosport, specializing in the manufacture of goalkeeper masks. The samples were tested using a pneumatic cannon, from which the washers were ejected at a speed of 120 miles per hour.
To make the mask, a clay cast of the goalkeeper’s head was made. Then, using epoxy resin, glass cloth was applied to it. When the workpiece was dry, holes were cut in it, the edges were cut off and sanded.
Until the end of his professional career, Jacques Plant continued to experiment with equipment. Already playing for the St. Louis Blues in the 1969-1970 playoffs, he was hit in the face with the puck. The usual fiberglass and rubber mask was split, and Jacques ended up in the hospital with a concussion. As Jacques later admitted, the mask saved his life.Together with Homut, Plant worked on improving the design of the mask. As a result, stiffeners appeared.
Sometimes the fiberglass mask was woven to prevent the wearer from feeling stuffy, but the strength of such a mask left much to be desired. This type of mask was called pretzel. It was in this that Ken Dryden, a longtime Montreal hockey icon, began his career in the NHL.
The masks were originally made of fiberglass and were either unpainted brownish or white. It would seem that here it is, space for creativity …
Gerry Cheevers, goalkeeper of the Boston Bruins, was the first to start painting on the helmet.
During training, Chivers fell as if knocked down and, feigning wild pain, went into the locker room. Coach Harry Sinden followed suit to find out how he was feeling, knowing that Chivers was also famous for his laziness. Sinden discovered that the goalkeeper was smoking a cigarette and enjoying a beer. The annoyed coach shouted at Chivers to dress quickly and walk onto the ice, since a throw that hit him would not break his balls.
Meanwhile, co-coach John Forristall drew a scar on the mask with a felt-tip pen where the puck hit. This impressed the team and Chivers so much that since then the goalkeeper began to mark on the mask all hits of the puck and sticks of the players. During the 1966-1967 season. the mask has acquired more than 150 “scars”.

My first motorcycle trip – “Iceland 2018” – Traveling on a Honda Transalp
Motorcycle trip from Minsk to Iceland on HONDA TA600V 1997R. and, I hope, back on 06/21/2018 – ??? It’s a pity I haven’t written here for a long time, because there was absolutely nothing to share with the esteemed public. And it’s scary to admit, but over the past year, my iron horse never left the garage. Life made its own adjustments as best it could. However, the idea of a trip to Iceland, and even on a motorcycle, swarmed in my head for a long time. Probably since February 2016, when I bought myself my first motorcycle and the choice fell on the TA600V, born in 1997, birthplace – Italy.
Now I am sitting on the ferry and meeting the dawn I have finally gathered my thoughts to start writing a report. It will be supplemented along the way, the availability of the Internet and the ability to find time to write it. I ask you not to judge strictly, because reports are not my strong point.
Gathering for the trip was chaotic, not systemic and rather spontaneous, which added intrigue and fueled the impetus. The day before the departure, the eight on the front wheel was fixed which gave an unpleasant vibration and both tires were changed for the Heidenau K60 Scout M + S in order to try to unleash at least a little the potential of the motorcycle on rough terrain. The rest of the consumables were replaced a week before (oil, chain + stars, brake discs + pads).
Realizing that the weather in Iceland is extremely changeable, a motorcycle raincoat (top and bottom) + protection of hands from rain in the form of mittens were bought in Minsk. Well, finally, a comforter was purchased, which until that time served as an old bicycle buff. That allowed my neck not to be so afraid of fast and long trips.
06/21/2018 – Thursday
Packing things for the trip took a couple of hours. It was necessary to find in the house a lot of all sorts of differences and all sorts of things necessary for the campaign. It was decided to buy a tent, a rug and a sleeping bag in one of the Decathlon supermarkets for outdoor activities, on the way, somewhere in Germany, for example.
After lunch, when all the things were already collected, the departure took place. Well, I didn’t forget to stop by the garage for the canister with the remaining oil. It took 3 and a half hours to go through customs at the border checkpoint in Bobrovniki. In order to comply with all the formalities and freely import the DJI Mavic Air drone into the territory of the Republic of Belarus, we had to go to the red corridor and declare its export. But peace of mind is worth more to me than an extra half hour at customs. Thanks to the Belarusian customs officers, they were among the first to let the motorcyclist in and even asked the truck driver, who was standing in a narrow place, to let me go ahead.
It was getting dark, and I never had breakfast. So in Bialystok, the first establishment was found where you could eat and drink without taking your eyes off the motorcycle. I will not break the tradition and still insert a picture with food / drink. But only one, otherwise it seems that motorcyclists are only doing that “refuel” in all good senses of course.
The first sips of cold beer immediately drove away the tiredness and slight nervousness that had accumulated in the queue at the customs. But I was no longer destined to finish it. A squall wind flew in with pouring rain. While in a rush, I managed to put my helmet into the trunk and unhook the bag from the motorcycle tank until it started pouring down at 45 degrees. Meanwhile, a glass of beer and its remnants in the bottle were unceremoniously thrown off the table by the wind and smashed …. the remaining 0.25 liters ….. to smithereens !!!
Since the time was late, I didn’t even bother to look for local guys who would like to stay on couchsurfing.com and rented a room through booking.com in a mini-hotel villa for 18 euros per day with its own parking, for greater peace of mind for the safety of the motorcycle and belongings. Shower, trying to fall asleep, but no luck. On the road, I often do this – I can’t fall asleep for a long time on the first day of the trip. And then on a motorcycle to such a long distance. A storm of emotions, a round dance of thoughts, but I had to force myself. Tomorrow, or rather today, wake up at 5 am and set off. And it is not close to Erlangen (Germany) from Bialystok.
The result of the day: 380 km and one border RB-Poland.

06/22/2018 – Friday
5 am, getting up, the dullness of the clouds forces you to put on protection from the rain immediately, which turned out to be a very correct decision. Due to the lack of experience of the Dalny people on a motorcycle, it was a test in combat conditions, by the way, quite successful. Unless the lack of rain-proof shoe covers allowed my feet to get wet to the skin. But I was dressed very warmly, so in the end I rode in comfort. I’m sure you will laugh while reading this, but everything was dressed exactly like this: underpants + thermal underwear top / bottom + warm motorcycle socks-knee socks + sweatpants + ski sweatshirt with a high collar + jeans + motorcycle jacket + protective knee pads + rain protection bottom + comforter + rain protection top + gloves + helmet + # $% @ & (can’t fasten my helmet) – helmet – gloves + helmet + gloves + rain protection for hands in the form of mittens. The worst, no, even the worst is that when you are just fully dressed, you immediately start to want to go to the toilet. And this, well, you yourself understand … there are still many precious minutes to “undress the sovereign, dress the sovereign …” Poland and Germany between Wroclaw and Dresden, on the A4 motorway.
The only photo from this day. The weather was not favorable, I was driving in the rain for half a day, and the path was not close – 1200 km.And in Erlangen, beer with grilled sausages was already waiting for me, which was local and a friend from Donetsk, who moved there a year ago. And with whom we once traveled more than one thousand kilometers on bicycles on cycling trips and bicycle reels of varying difficulty. Well, then everything is as it sometimes happened, 2 guitars, and songs in 4 gulps. It’s a pity I arrived around 21:00, plus while I took off all these layers of clothes, so we didn’t have much time to make some noise. The next day, albeit without a motorcycle run, turned out to be very eventful and interesting.
By the way, about a year ago I already passed this very route (1500 km), only at one time and by car. I can say with confidence that I liked the bike much more, even taking into account the rains, frequent refueling and other inconveniences.
The result of the day: 1100 km and one “transparent” border Poland-Germany.

06/23/2018 – Saturday
A night out with local craft beer for half the night left its mark on your face in the form of a distinct pillow print.Today is Saturday and we went to Salzburg with a male company to take a walk in the park.
But after standing on the Autobahn in a traffic jam for half an hour and looking at the traffic jam in Google (it should be noted that Yandex Navigator did not see traffic jams there, so use maps.google.com to adequately assess routes in Europe) further along the route to Salzburg is another plus an hour and a half in traffic jams, we decided to change the route and go to the South-Southwest from Munich. To visit the highest point in Germany – the Zugspitze peak, 2962 meters above sea level.Where does the cable car lead, which gains 2 km of height in a few minutes. The price of a round-trip ticket is not small – 56 euros per adult, but since we are here, and we only live once, then it is worth going, that’s for sure.
But before the ascent, we decided to walk around the lake and work up an appetite before climbing to the top. The place is of course indescribable beauty.
Swimming in the lake was decided by a majority of votes after descending the mountain, so as not to climb on top with wet hair after swimming. And at the top it was 7 degrees and a fairly strong wind. The view from the booth during the ascent was stunning, at the top of the mountains and the cables going up sharply after the only supporting structure on the way.
And below there is a view of the lake, which we have already walked around on foot at an average pace and, having rested half the way, left stones like a “frog” into the water.
The food on the top was ok in quality and quite expensive for me. About 24 euros for half a liter of beer, soup, judging by the taste from Rolton / Doshirak or Mivina with a cutlet made from purchased minced meat, is not of the best quality, more or less tolerable sausage, pounded potatoes which are difficult to spoil, but they also managed to fried sauerkraut, which, however it is not clear why, the Germans love it so much.
There is fog above and nothing is visible. We played a little snowballs, wandered around the building on the mountain, “sunbathed” a little)))
In this photo I am standing in Germany, but behind me are the mountains of Austria. And there is the same descent by cable car, only from the opposite side of the mountain. And also some old narrow-gauge train with additional gears between the rails goes to Germany, something akin to a funicular, probably, but I’m not special in this topic. Unfortunately, we did not immediately find how to use it, and when we got downstairs, we left with the last booth and there was no time left to search.
We went downstairs, bought up and, satisfied, set off on our way back. Well, there were no more traffic jams and around 23:00 we were at a friend’s house in Erlangen.
A couple more photos on Alexey’s wall – https: //www.facebook…703146786420298
The result of the day: 0 km on a motorcycle and ~ 650 km in the back seat of Misha’s right-hand drive SKODA car, which he brought from England. It’s funny to see the turn signal turn on on the right and the wipers on the left, not to mention the gearshift knob on the other side. However, in my experience of driving right-hand drive cars in Cyprus, you only show the turns with dvoniks for the first half of the day, then you get used to it.And the curtain of the checkpoint on the left the next day no longer causes a brain rupture, such as movement on the ring in the opposite direction)))

06/24/2018 – Sunday
Waking up in the morning, and realizing that there was no need to leave at 5-6 in the morning, we had a leisurely breakfast. We even took the time to launch a little drone. Sunday is a day off in Germany, but it’s so much a day off that nothing works except for some cafes and gas stations.According to information from friends, one should thank the church and some politicians-lobbyists for this. It should also be remembered that there is much more traffic on the Autobahns on Saturday than on Sunday. By the way, an interesting fact is that fuel on weekends is more expensive than on weekdays and more expensive at autobahn gas stations than in cities.
At first, there was an idea to make a lumbago immediately closer to the landing site in the north of Denmark, to the port of Hirtshals, in order to have a margin of time. This was said by the internal “risk manager”, read the reinsurer. But nevertheless, common sense triumphed and the inner lazy person, who sometimes puts forward all the same good ideas, sowed the idea that spending another whole day on the road and covering 1100 km in 13-14 hours would be stupid and sad. And vacation should be enjoyable. Common sense clung to this idea, reminding that “you are without a tent, friend, and you should stop by Decathlon, which is so conveniently located almost in the middle of the road, in Hamburg.” By sending 3 requests via CS (hereinafter the social network of hospitality and travelers couchsurfing.org) to the guys in Hamburg and having not received answers within an hour, decided not to rush and see a place to live upon arrival. The point of arrival was chosen subconsciously, in the very center of the city, on the banks of the Elbe, some kind of philharmonic society.
No wonder, just electric filling of Tesla cars at a regular gas station.
But I had another important job for today. About a year ago, I was in these places by car and stopped by to visit the wonderful Man and also the mother of my good friend from Donetsk, whom we also met on the cycling topic.By the way, until last year I knew his mother only in absentia and via Skype. And then there was such an opportunity to visit her again and without hesitation I corrected my route to call in for a visit. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my favorite Belarusian “Rogachevskaya” condensed milk with me this time, but I had high-quality Belarusian socks “with cats”, I hope the size came up all the same. In general, the main thing is not gifts, but attention. Which me G.V. did not cheat and the original plan to call “for half an hour” turned with the light hand of the hostess in an hour and a half or two, with a full dinner, delicious dumplings, tea with sandwiches, and most importantly, sincere conversations about everything in the world.Man devoted his whole life to ballet and teaching children. It was exciting to read the heartfelt wishes of the students and watch the black and white collage photos they took after her retirement. But time inexorably continues its run and I have to go, because I really don’t want to look for housing and safe parking for my motorcycle at 12 at night. A couple more photos from the meeting – https: //www.facebook…032401373676531
620 km, 3 gas stations and Hamburg was already visible on the horizon. The Philharmonic was a very interesting architectural and technical solution.Outside view.
And in section
I parked near the flagpole on the sidewalk next to other moto and scooters, but a little cautiously. Less than a minute later, the building security guard approached, said that you can park and pointed with a smile at his motorbike next to mine. A conversation ensued, he asked where I was from, where I was going and said that I was literally a few hours late, not finding the motorcycle festival that took place in the city this afternoon. After chatting for another 10 minutes with him and finding out everything that interested me about local motorcycle shops, I took a free ticket to enter the Philharmonic and went on exploration.
Having ordered coffee and a cake, I connected to the Internet. According to CS, there are 2 refusals, the third has not yet answered – yes, somehow not very much. Well, it doesn’t matter! – I thought, and through booking for 30 euros a hotel was found with a separate room and an underground secure parking. At first they tried for some reason to put me in a room for smokers, where, as if there was still a cloud of light gray smoke, not to mention the smell. I had to go down and draw the attention of the staff to the fact that I ordered a non-smoking room. The room was replaced with their apologies for a more comfortable one on the floor below. The underground parking was 300 meters from the hotel and the security deposit for the wireless key was asked for 100 euros or a document. Since leaving my documents somewhere unattended was a bad idea, I had to go to my room and look into the safe for money. The photo of the issue was taken in the morning.
What would you like to say about Hamburg? Mixed feelings, you can see the style and spirit of old and modern Germany, but the rampant domination of “come in large numbers” and refugees, and as a result of shawarma, halal and eateries of Chinese public catering does not leave any chance to feel the real atmosphere of the northern part of the country.Although, maybe now it is such a multicultural atmosphere, time will tell. For fun, I walked along one street, which runs from the main station of Hamburg to the east, and only after 1.5 km I found a place where you can eat at least something other than baklava, shawarma and other things. Again, according to the locals, now the authorities are actively deporting all illegal immigrants, but, apparently, much more of them arrive than they manage to expel. It has long been dark and more and more single passers-by do not inspire confidence. On the way to the hotel, 2 local priestesses of love, who were standing near the salon with films “for adults”, offered me “for sale love”.I do not know who voluntarily uses such services, but this is clearly not mine. Apparently I have become old, or vice versa, still young. Everything indicated that it was time to go to bed in terms of safety and common sense. After taking a shower and sending 3 requests to CS for tomorrow in the northern part of Denmark, from where the ferry leaves at 11:30 on Tuesday, I allowed the kingdom of Morpheus to take over my tired brain and body.
Result of the day: 620 km on the autobahns of Germany.

25.06.2018 – Monday
After taking the deposit and leaving the hotel, I immediately went to the shops recommended by the local motorboat. The wealth of choice was overwhelming, it’s a pity I forgot to take a couple of pictures in order to share with you this variety and breadth of assortment. I also bought from the list: a yellow vest with reflectors, a warm comforter, warm thermal underwear, rain boots (finally), three-fingered mittens for protection from rain (because the old ones broke a little on the left finger, evident from the frequent use of the turn switch), a liter of oil just in case, a pump, a quick puncture repair kit with 5 high pressure cans, a sealant bottle to prevent punctures and an aerosol can to remove odors from motorcycle shoes.
Then quickly to Decathlon for a tent, a sleeping bag and an inflatable mat. Here it is, by the way, in the backyard of Monica, who this evening invited me to spend the night and showed the town of Aalborg (Aalborg).
There were no traffic jams, and there were only a couple of road repairs, so at 18:30 local time I was already at Monica’s house. She apologized in the letter that she would have to work until 8 or 9 in the evening and if I arrive earlier, the keys will be waiting for me in the agreed place, and a clean towel in the shower. It’s good that she left the keys and wrote her address in advance.”Stranny” (let’s call it that), the mobile operator Life-Belarus did not provide roaming services in Denmark, although their website clearly states that it is. I will deal with this issue separately upon my return to the Republic of Belarus.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves and get back to the road. In fact, nothing has changed, the same good asphalt, the same sufficient information content according to signs, only first fill up a full tank, as I did in Poland and Germany, and then it was no longer possible to pay with a card. But on the filling stations there are terminals for cards, with the only difference that they block about 650 DKK on the card (Danish kroner, which was about 86 euros at the time of refueling), and then they make a full refund and write off only what was filled in. …Maybe someone will come in handy – comparative prices for gasoline by countries of the world – https: //ru.globalpet…asoline_prices/
For the sake of Hochma, I should say that in a full crew and in full protection from the rain, I looked more like an astronaut in a spacesuit than a motorcyclist … Let’s take a closer look at the raincoat. High pants almost to the armpits and a long jacket, I do not take into account. Imagine shoe covers, which seemed to be 42 sizes, but for some reason seemed much larger, plus they peeled off and shuffled a little when walking on the floor.Three-fingered gloves over motorcycle gloves. The picture was complemented by the helmet and all the rest of the harness that constrained my movements and made the resemblance to a man in a spacesuit not so distant, given the presence of a helmet. At least judging by the surprised looks of other motorists at the gas station, they were clearly not ready for such a spectacle)))
Somewhere 100 km before reaching the destination I stop for a gas station, pour gasoline, pay with a card, drink some water, drain others organic liquids, I start driving and I understand – the trouble has not passed me by.And the transalpa hit the sore spot – a breakdown of the speedometer drive gear. She passed me about 9 thousand after replacement. A lot or a little I would like to hear the opinions of experts in the comments, but the fact remains – I was left without a speedometer. In general, this is not critical and I continued my way without even stopping.
Arriving in the city a little earlier than the promised time, I decided to take a ride and find a gas station so as not to do it in the morning. Gasoline is expensive in Denmark (about 1.63 euros per liter), but even more expensive in Iceland (about 1.84 euros per liter) and the inner toad whispers that it would not be superfluous to flood here. Also, according to the old scheme “money in the morning – chairs in the evening”, but in this case, gasoline, filled a full tank and went to settle for the night. Monica was not at home, as it was agreed, found the key in the agreed place, opened the door, but then “unexpected” – 2 rabbits rushed at me from the hallway. Probably thinking that the hostess had come and brought something delicious, they stupidly rushed at me. A little taken aback at the sight of the “cosmonaut” the eared ones rushed to the exit, but fortunately there is still a reaction and I managed to quickly close the door without pinching their ears. After reading the stickers that rabbits live only in the hallway and it is better not to let them into the living room, otherwise they will sharpen everything they can get to, starting with shoes, I brought my things into the room and closed the door. After taking a shower, washing my clothes and changing into clean clothes, I spread my things to dry in the backyard.
Monica came, we decided to go for a walk in the city while it is light and in the same place somewhere to chew. We found a cafe, refreshed ourselves and continued our walk. The match was over long ago, but the fans, apparently, were in no hurry to disperse discussing past and future football battles.
Denmark is a cycling country, but nowhere without fast food …
We walked along the embankment, took a couple of photos.
All this time we chatted incessantly, Monica knows a little Russian, so we jumped from one language to another, and sometimes carried mixed gibberish. She said that studying in Denmark is free and they even pay a good scholarship and provide housing. She is from a small town in Slovakia, so in 2 months she will have no reason to stay in the country and will either need to find a job here to stay, or go home or somewhere else. The hospitable hostess has not yet decided on her plans, but I am sure she will be fine. By the way, here is a link to her profile – https: //www.couchsur…ika-michelsen-1 can anyone drive by and drop in to visit.
We returned home too late and both tired decided that it would be time to go to bed on the sly, besides, Monica had to get up early on business. The weather was magical and I decided to sleep in a tent in the backyard, it was painfully beautiful there. At the same time I tested a tent, an air mattress (which was in the photo above) and a sleeping bag.Like a baby fell asleep, slept sweetly and did not even toss and turn at night.
The result of the day: 440 km and a transparent border between Germany and Denmark.

06/26/2018 – Tuesday
Day of boarding the ferry to Iceland. I woke up early, I gathered myself on the sly. Meanwhile, Monica made breakfast – tea with sandwiches and coarsely chopped vegetables. You will need to ask later what the name of that delicious putty that she added to the sausage and cheese sandwiches is called. It looks like a spiced sun-dried tomato or something. Saying goodbye and thanking each other for the excellent conversations and hospitality, he moved towards the port. After 40 minutes I was already in line for the ferry.
Well, there were motorcyclists here, I’ll tell you, or rather show you.
By the way, the guys in front of me also have Heidenau K60 Scout tires, only due to the fact that the rim width is larger, the central part is continuous throughout the entire circle, which slightly reduces vibration on the asphalt.
As you know, trouble does not come alone, after the speedometer, the rear bolt of fastening the thermal protection shield near the right leg went into the world of lost things after the speedometer, which protects the biker’s foot and shoes from the high temperature of the exhaust system.Had to have a quick fix until I find a bolt somewhere in Iceland. Now it looks so-so, but it holds.
And bikers kept coming from behind …
They waited for their turn and the loading began. “Riders” in yellow vests drove the stream and packed us quite tightly. They put them in rows and gave them belts with carabiners to fasten them. For if there is a strong turbulence, then you don’t want to find your motorcycle lying on the next one or completely broken by the lying deck below.
The ferry left me 654 euros in both directions for a motorcycle and food. With a stopover for 3 days almost in the Faroe Islands on the way back. Details in the photo. You can also save on food if you wish.
They settled me in cabin 2301, which is on the lowest living 2nd deck, in the same room with Denis from St. Petersburg. With whom we, in general, and hung out mostly all the time on the ferry together. He also rode with his own transport, and this was already his 3rd ferry for this trip.Only the first two left something about 45 and 70 euros, but the last one, from Denmark to Iceland, 1870 euros. Still, with a car here it turns out much more expensive. So the tickets were still very cheap for me and my motorcycle. Also with us in the cabin were a Frenchman and a German with a motorcycle. On the very first night, Denis and I drank beer and, according to him, I took revenge on the Frenchman for half the night for burnt-out Moscow with my rolling snoring)))
The result of the day: 70 km on a motorcycle and many nautical miles ahead.

27.06.2018 – Wednesday
Here is dawn, during which I began to write this report.
There was a lot more fun on the ferry, but we’ll skip that and go straight to disembarking in Iceland. You can also show how Maps. Yandex built a route. By the way, we walked about there, first circling Norway with a short stop in the Faroe Islands.
I want to show a photo of the islands in a light fog, which was taken from the ferry on the way to Iceland.
We stood there for several hours.
– 12 second video to estimate the number of motorcycles in just one place. I counted 4 such parking lots with motorcycles throughout the ship.
By the way, it was no coincidence that there were so many people on the Harley-Davidson choppers.
Every 2 years motorcycle clubs in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland organize the Nordic Run – a motorcycle race across the Scandinavian countries, for details here – http://www.nordicrun.dk/ In the panoramic photo you can see a low red building, on the ground floor of which located Faroe Islands Harley-Davidson Club – http: // www.hdc.fo/
But this is a completely different story, which I will introduce you to later …
06/28/2018 – Thursday
I woke up early, by the alarm clock. After some time, a request was heard from the speakers to vacate the cabins and life began to boil around. I slowly collected my sleeping bag and the rest of my personal belongings and packed what went into my backpack. The rest was fastened on the outside so that nothing was lost.
Before disembarking, I got into a conversation with a local motorcyclist from Reykjavik, who was returning home after a ride in the Faroe Islands.Confirming my thoughts on the fact that for the week allotted to Iceland, you should not be scattered and go far, to Reykjavik, for example. Better to go to the ground and see only the northern and northeastern parts, which are very good at this time of the year, but already to the fullest. He suggested a couple of interesting places and not very tourist routes that are worthy of attention and passable on my bike. After marking the points on the map and thanking the guy with a magnet from Minsk, we said goodbye. Having heard our Russian speech with Denis, another motorcyclist approached us – Vallo from Estonia, Cyrillic is alien to him, but he speaks Russian quite confidently, by the way, he arrived here in a Suzuki V-Strom 1000.Here are our iron horses)
As usual, a couple of days before arrival, I found several interesting local couchsurfers with whom I could stay and just have an interesting conversation about different things. In the nearest, by local standards, “city” Eyilsstadir, with a population of as many as 2,464 people (as of 2018), George was waiting for me – https: //www.couchsur…/people/olishor. He invited the guys to go with me to the cafe where George works. Denis said that he had a wagon of food supplies and first of all he wants to find a cool place near the reservoir, make tea on a burner and relax.Vallo and I were not so thrifty, so we decided to first go to the old sunken NATO boat, which he recommended to us to see a local motorcyclist, and then go to a cafe to eat with a friend. Well, what to do then on a full stomach will be clearer.)))
Having got off the ferry quickly passed passport control, they did not inspect me at all, but Denis, as I found out later, checked the whole car with an X-ray. After 4 minutes, Vallo also appeared from the bowels of the ferry and, having learned in advance where you can buy a SIM card, first arrived at the local post office. But it turned out that this post office is open a couple of times a week, when the postman arrives and there is nothing but mail here. Then we decided to take a leisurely ride to see the beautiful fjord, look at the sunken boat, and then go to George.
After the fifth stop near another incredibly beautiful waterfall, rivulet, or just a breathtaking view, we realized that we had not driven even two kilometers. Reasonably estimating that at such a pace we will reach George well if tomorrow. decided to go straight to the boat. However, unable to stand on the way, they still stopped 2 or 3 times. Painfully the views were good. There were not many tourists near the leaky vessel and I launched a DJI Mavic Air drone to take a couple of aerial shots. This video is https: //photos.app.g…aFsdinnMvq3SFM8
I had almost zero hours of flight time, so don’t kick too much for the quality of the camera and director’s work. By the way, according to the stories of the locals, the boat was run aground by the brave soldiers of the NATO army during some exercises.Since then, he rusts and decays there, or rather what he has left for him.
Having worked up an appetite, we went to George to get acquainted and refresh ourselves. I must say that dining in a cafe here is extremely cheap. There is not a single dish below $ 18-20 per serving. There are only more expensive ones. However, despite the fact that the time for business lunch had already passed, George asked the guys from the kitchen to pour us 2 portions. And the guys “out of friendship” put in so much that we barely mastered everything. Despite the fact that they ate the last time yesterday.A hearty lunch cost about 18 euros each. For Iceland, this is almost a gift. George gave a couple of tips on where to go and what to see. And since the weather was good and I was planning to stay overnight in a tent, it was agreed with my hospitable friend that I would stay with him tomorrow for the night. Moreover, the forecast promised a strong thunderstorm for tomorrow.
Having bought a SIM card at a local gas station, we contacted Denis. It turned out that he was sitting on the shore of the lake drinking tea 4 km away. from U.S. Below is a photo of where we are all assembled.Well, or rather, not we, but our iron horses. After sleeping for another hour near the water, it was decided that Denis would be our navigator for today. he prepared for the trip very meticulously and most of all interesting points are marked on his map. In addition, it is important to understand that we will drive along the route all together, and not just motorcyclists.
We passed many interesting places, but after taking a 40cm ford we stopped in a gorgeous place with natural hot springs flowing into a small natural pool. We set up tents and went to test Iceland’s geothermal gifts.Special thanks to Denis and Vallo who stocked up on beer and shared it with me. It was just magical to sit in a hot natural bath, drinking cold beer and chatting about different things. So we sat for an hour and a half or two and after 4 cans of beer realized – it’s time to get out and move the baine. It rained in the evening and at night, but fatigue and beer did their job, so I didn’t even wake up. So ended the first day in Iceland, the land of winds, trolls, fjords and glaciers.
As everyone remembers, my speedometer broke down in Denmark, so now there will be no further distances.
06/29/2018 – Friday
All night long the wind and occasional rain tormented the tent, fortunately it did not give in. Woke up only once in the middle of the night.
At about 8 am I heard Vallo rustling in my tent. Denis spent the night not far from us in the Maggiolinia folding car tent, installed on the roof of his SUV. By the way, due to the total height of the car with the tent of more than 2.5 meters, he had to pay a lot on the ferry to Iceland. So in advance and carefully look at the conditions of transportation. Yes, I forgot to mention. Yesterday evening, more people came to our parking lot in a pickup truck with a dismantled mini-caravan. The photo will be below. But somehow we didn’t have a chance to get to know them properly.
A small gift for future travelers – the exact GPS location of our overnight stay – 65.0057359, -15.7633035
This place is called Laugarvellir. There is a small turf house, with 3 wooden bunk single beds, in which you can sleep quite comfortably if you have a corvik / mattress and a sleeping bag.But in a tent, whatever one may say, one breathes better. Sleeping inside is a good idea in very bad weather, though.
The morning is raining. Gloomy clouds hung like a gray feather bed over the picturesque horizon. The bright sun, in places piercing the fragile folds of clouds with rays, timidly peeped out, warming us for a couple of minutes, and immediately disappeared behind the thickness of the heavenly veil. We had breakfast with Estonian stew, Russian porridge brewed in boiling water, and ate a jar of Belarusian condensed milk for tea. There was also a guestbook in which visitors to this place left reviews. We also decided to check in, a photo with a review is attached.
We had neighbors in the house – a nest of local birds, similar to sparrows, which are practically not afraid of people. They also fell from the master’s table – some fresh crumbs became a reward for their courage.
While we were eating, the weather improved. After filming a couple of videos from the drone and collecting their belongings, we went to look at the dam, the one that yesterday drove along the road to the place of our overnight stay. In general, the weather cleared up there, it became hot.Excellent shots from the copter came out. I taped a large crack in the saddle of my motorcycle with black cloth tape. And then it has already begun to creep. Thanks to Vallo for the materials and tools for the repair.
We stopped on the way to a cascade of small waterfalls. But no matter how fun and interesting we were, together everyone had their own plan for Iceland. Having reached the fork at the reservoir, not far from Eyilsstadir, we exchanged contacts and said goodbye to Denis. I said goodbye to Vallo already at the gas station in Eyilsstadir.
Having reached the village of Eyilsstadir, he still doesn’t dare to call him a city, he dropped into a liquor store and a supermarket. The cost of alcohol here is several times higher than in Belarus, Russia, Ukraine or even in the countries of central Europe. And the products are quite expensive. In any case, I will not go to visit empty-handed. And having bought a couple of bottles of good wine and groceries went to George.
George is one of the most interesting and open personalities that I have met on CS. A grateful listener, an excellent storyteller and a very hospitable person. He comes from Romania, grew up in a simple family, and lives and works here seasonally. He has a very rich travel experience because, as he himself admits, he has not forgotten how to dream and cannot sit in one place for a long time. I was given a small but separate room where I and all my belongings fit.
In general, as I was later told, visiting cafe workers live in this house, where George also works. Someone has been here for the third year already, someone has been here for a month. I met at least 8 people that evening living in this large dormitory.I especially remember Slavik, who gave 15 years to the Romanian militia and rose to the rank of captain. And he quit when the choice at work became an edge: either to steal like everyone else and sit down sooner or later, or look for other sources of income. So he has been working here for almost a year as a “pizza maker”. He says that the work is not easy, always at the hot stove, his hands are constantly burned, but he provides a family with 3 children for a year during the season of work here. And she won’t go to jail because of her thieving colleagues and bosses. He treated me to delicious homemade red borscht, according to the recipe of his grandmother. And as an excellent person. We were sitting in a big company, everyone knew English well. We chatted about different hours until 2 am. To whom tomorrow, on the second shift or the weekend, they still have to sit, and I said goodbye to take a bath and fell asleep after a day full of emotions.
06/30/2018 – Saturday.
George was having fun at his home and we chatted all morning until he left. Although they tried to persuade me to stay for another day, it was time to be honored to know. I stopped at a cafe where the guys work, decided to pamper myself and order a main dish with local fish on their advice. The food + tea, despite a small piece and a small frying pan, turned out to be not cheap at all – 4390 ISK (~ 36 EUR). Be that as it may, there is still nothing tastier than home-fried river carp or crucian carp.
The rain stopped, even for 5 minutes the timid rays of the sun broke through, but this action did not deceive me, so I put on a raincoat and other protection and went to Akureyri. A local resident was waiting for me there tonight – couchsurfer Jónas Þór Karlsson (yes, Karlsson), which literally can be translated as Jonas, Karlov’s son. Before I had time to drive away, the disgusting drops of rain began to beat off the accelerating rhythm more and more rhythmically, rolling down to the ground, finding their own winding path. Hiding from the intensifying wind, I stopped a couple of times. The lateral gusts of which tried to throw me off the wet road. The ride was, to put it mildly, not comfortable, and sometimes completely unsafe. I walked into the villages, tiny, literally 2-3 houses. Surprised in the middle of the field is a standing bathroom in the form of a small booth with solar panels on its side. That gave light inside, and the warm water was probably warmed up by geothermal sources. All wet visited the sulfur geysers of Hverir, at the entrance to Lake Myvatn. I did not linger for a long time and moved on.
I went around the lake to the waterfall of Goðafoss. But during the rain, normal photos did not really work, and half of the waterfall was covered with fog. The drone did not start in the rain, and it was no use waiting for the weather when the sky was tight.
Nothing to do – I drove on.Soon I got to the destination for today, but Jonas was still wandering around at work. Driving through the city I noticed Dominos Pizza and ordered one large one with ham, cheese and tomatoes. At a discount for self-pickup, the pizza cost 1790 ISK (~ 14.6 EUR), which turned out to be very cheap by local standards. While the pizza was being prepared, my hospitable friend had already let me know that in 5-7 minutes he would be at home. The pizza turned out to be really big, so much so that it was not possible to add it to the trunk or anywhere else. Well, in general, there is nothing to do, put it on the steering wheel, gently pressed it with rubber straps and holding it with one hand somehow reached the place of lodging.Fortunately, there was no more than 500 meters and only one recumbent.
Jonas turned out to be a very extraordinary person. He has open all categories of rights (except for a motorcycle, hehe), ranging from ordinary cars, ending with road trains and buses with trailers. Separate rights to drive various heavy construction equipment, even a multi-ton crane, which he managed to lay on its side during a strong wind and block the tunnel and the only highway on the island. What he showed me an article in the local newspaper. In general, by vocation, he is a bus driver and everyone on the island knows him, because he revived the old custom of wearing a leather driver’s cap at work that had always been a hallmark of local bus drivers in the last century. Now it is considered very honorable. By the way, I remember that professional chauffeurs had the same tradition in the USSR. And for the third year he has been working as an ambulance driver, but he does not stop there, and in addition has been teaching medicine for 2 years. He said that in 2 more years he would be able to help doctors as a paramedic in especially difficult cases.I also asked him about motivation, what drives him – the answer was simple – “I can be of help to people even more!” Plus, he programs the board of all buses on the island. By applying geolocation, names of stops and schedule in a special program. and then uploading it to a common server.
We have discussed a lot of topics. Starting from banal everyday things, about how they survive in harsh winters, when almost all roads are closed, and ending with a question from me: “Why are half of the doors at the entrance ajar a third?” It turned out that this is a very good area, and before, until Poles and other EU citizens rushed to Iceland en masse, there was no theft and thefts AT ALL, as a class of crimes it was completely absent. And as a result, people did not close the doors, suddenly a neighbor urgently needs salt or something else. The doors to houses and apartments have always been open to anyone, even a stranger. Cars, too, have never been closed, well, unless they simply slam the door so that the weather doesn’t pour water or snow, and the keys are in the ignition or just lie on the side of the seat. By the way, below is a photo from the first floor, where everyone leaves their shoes. And they go upstairs to the house either in slippers or in socks.
But after the “come in large numbers” and the rising level of crime, little by little, these traditions have sunk into oblivion. Now, unfortunately, there is even a well-established joke:
– What is the first thing to do when you see a Pole on a bicycle?
– Check if this is your bike.
That was the end of the day. I took a hot shower and went to bed.
Total per day: about 260 km.
07/01/2018 – Sunday.
I slept superbly. Even cloudy weather and a bad forecast by the evening could not spoil my high spirits. Having thrown off some photos, after talking with my family, I asked Jonas – where to go, so that it is not far away, but at the same time enjoy the mesmerizing local views. He took a close look at the weather on local sites and told him to head northwest to Trollaskagi (troll peninsula). On the way, there will be many beautiful places, passes and tunnels, along the way, marking several points on my map. And back you can go the old road, the sun will just come out, so that you can heat not only on the asphalt, he recommended, having examined my tour-enduro from the window. I decided to go light, with one central wardrobe trunk, especially tonight again at Jonas’s because of the bad weather at night. After having breakfast hastily cooked omelet and tea with buns, we scattered in all directions. You know, this is a special thrill to wear warm motorboats that dried a couple of minutes ago on the heating system in cloudy weather.
I headed north and in the first fjord, near the town of Dalvik, a hundred meters from the shore, I saw two whales. Not to say that they jumped straight out of the water and happily waved at me smiling, but substituting the sun with enviable regularity, massive backs hit the water with huge fins and tails, raising a column of spray. I watched this picture for about 15 minutes absolutely for free, and unlucky tourists take a lot of money for it, something about 150-300 EUR for a “boat trip with whales”.Although it is not always possible to meet a whale, as I later read from reviews on the Internet. By the way, Dalvik was called the Java virtual machine in Android up to version 4.4 “KitKat” inclusive. A little more detailed who is in the subject – https: //en.wikipedia…alvik_ (software)
Bright rays of the sun flooded everything around and the saturation of colors went off scale again, recalling the solar motives of Laurent Parsellier. Despite this, the light breeze did not allow to overheat and it was very comfortable in the motorcycle rider. Having driven without a navigator “aimlessly” and getting hungry, he warmed up tea on the gas burner and finished the last slice of pizza left over from yesterday.Initially, no one paid attention to my snack. Until I raised the drone and attracted the close attention of a flock of seagulls sitting nearby, and now alarmed. Therefore, quickly, in 10 minutes, I examined the surroundings from the air and removed the drone further away. In order not to tease the local fauna for nothing and not incur a misfortune in the form of “organic sediments”.
I drove a little more and stopped at a gas station. I filled up a full tank and refueled myself, taking a can of THULE beer and local dried fish. After dirt roads, the motorcycle would not hurt to wash. And here is just a free car wash, and even with a view of the fjord. It is a long hose with a brush at the end, from which water flows under the pressure you need. Very convenient and practical, and most importantly – absolutely free.)))
Washing a motorcycle in Iceland, part 1
Washing a motorcycle in Iceland, part 2
Drank beer, put the motorcycle in order, letting it dry and admiring the beauty of this fabulous corner of our planet. The day was drawing to a close and my way was back to Akureyri. On the way back I went through tunnels and asphalt roads. It was faster that way, the weather was deteriorating, and I didn’t want to get the motorcycle dirty. Another evening of interesting conversations in pleasant company. That day ended.
These are the pepelatsy here in high esteem, especially when the so-called. “summer ends.
Total per day: about 300 km of soil and asphalt.
Retrospective on 02.07.2018 – Monday.Part 1.
I got up early in the morning. The forecast promised a great day and the bright sun outside the window was a clear confirmation of this. He took a shower, took his belongings to the area, which was covered with a tactilely pleasant carpet, began to slowly gather and put on a motorcycle crew. The weather whispered and the soul was eager to go, but Jonas woke up, made coffee and made each of them a couple of sandwiches with cheese. By the way, if someone brings you to those parts – say hello to him, or maybe he will be able to shelter you for a day or two. Here is the link – https: //www.couchsur…sers/1002
Coffee delayed me for another 15 minutes. Thanking my extremely uncommon and hospitable couchsurfer went out into the street, fitted trunks and … one and a half))) Then my nose “smelled” the bakery, past which it was impossible to drive even with a helmet on. And this despite half past six in the morning. Well, tea, a French roll with you and a chocolate ring before the long journey. The drink turned out to be unlimited, as the waiter reminded of when he brought a second mug of hot, aromatic tea for free.Yes, it was not possible to leave quickly. But whatever is being done is for the better, and what is being done is generally good)))
Not having time to drive away from the city, a small motorcycle museum appeared near the road. There was a lot of equipment, but as it should be, museums do not work on Mondays.
It remains to be content with the pieces of iron standing outside, but I made a couple of photos through the display glass of what was inside.
Let’s go further. In such weather, it is not a sin to call in to take pictures of a drone at Godafoss waterfall.Which I did. Below are a couple of photos and a two-minute video of flights over the waterfalls.
Godafoss Waterfall, Iceland.
Retrospective on 02.07.2018 – Monday. Part 2.
Having finished with the waterfalls, I drove towards Lake Myvatn to look for a little off-road, just in that direction on the satellite map there were noticeable many hills and a whole complex of small lakes. In general, it is forbidden to drive off-road in Iceland, but as you know, if you really want to, then within reasonable limits everything is possible. In addition, I followed in the footsteps of local jeepers, which had already managed to draw several barely distinguishable tracks with their wide wheels.
The gorgeous views appeared, as if a giant artist awkwardly poured bright green and light blue colors of grass and sky onto the canvas. Do not forget to pour water, connecting the hills with thin strips of green, juicy sushi.
Climbing higher and higher soils, little by little, stones of volcanic origin began to slip under the wheels, until the landscape slowly but surely changed to Martian.
A little further I noticed a point on the map with a high rating of visitors and went there. It turned out to be the thermal springs of Myvatn Nature Bath, and even for money. Of course, I understand everything, the pool is there, showers, steps and other benefits of civilization, but I think it is somewhat stupid to pay 5000 ISK (~ 40 EUR) for this. In addition, there were plenty of free natural pools with hot water on the map, even within walking distance.
Today the forecast pleased us, informing that there will be practically no rain at night, well, except that a little drips before going to bed.So there is still enough time, you can not bother with housing, but follow the principle “where you become, there is a house.” I went to the local thermal power plant and looked at the Krafia lake, which is located nearby. I even launched the drone for a couple of good shots.
For some reason I drove into the canyon, it was forbidden to let drones there, so I really didn’t like the view. I drove aimlessly and stumbled upon a gas station at a local transalpovoda, also the chairman of the village, 80 kilometers from this place.A stocky, bouncy old man, 72 years old, drove in to refuel his Honda TA650. So we got to talking. To hide from the wind and have a quiet talk, we went into a shop at a gas station. First I gave him tea and a hot sandwich, then he gave me coffee and a hot dog. So they chatted over a snack for 45-50 minutes. He told, and most importantly, showed on the map several interesting places nearby that were worth visiting. Before leaving, he even invited me to spend the night with him, but good weather in Iceland is rare. Therefore, when I said that I would like to be in a tent for the night, he did not insist, however, he recommended a free camping near the village of Kopasker, with a refined area protected from the wind, a hot shower, a toilet and a washbasin.Saying goodbye, each went his own way.
There was still time and I decided to walk an hour’s walking route in order to contemplate a waterfall flowing into the lake from a high mountain fault, as the information boards reported. I was told the same at a local museum-like located in one room and a tourist information point in another. They even tried to “sell” the guide, but this number did not work with me. And he did the right thing – the waterfall was a weak stream falling from a 30-meter rift and flowing into the purest water of the lake.”The attraction is so-so,” I thought, already tempted by Icelandic views, and went to the place to spend the night in Kopasker.
Another 70 kilometers and I’m in place. Before camping, I drove into a shop, and 5 minutes before closing, I managed to buy beer and fish, so to speak, to relieve fatigue and have a good sleep. Before I had time to throw my things into the tent, a strange light-haired character approached and began to demand payment for the bed, although it is very cheap for Iceland – 1200 ISK (~ 10EUR). But I knew that this campsite is supported by the community and nobody needs to pay anything other than a plug for the campers. This pretzel managed to “fly around”, and some even through the terminal, neighboring Germans for several nights and 2-3 more tents standing at a distance. These were mainly campers. For the connected light from one camper, he took an additional fee on the card. When my turn came to me, I unmistakably recognized him as a cunning Pole. At first I explained to him culturally and in English that I know that this camping is free, because had a conversation with the chairman of a neighboring village a few hours ago. To which he began to include the chief and tell me to leave, he tried to frighten me for some reason with the police.Well, to himself an evil Pinocchio, I thought, and took several photos of him on the phone. He flew into a rage and started yelling at me to immediately remove the photo from my phone. To which he was sent with a smile on the great and mighty. When it didn’t come to him, I abruptly got up from the table, smiling “good” and showing my intention to give him an express plastic nose job, which I told him about in Russian. The guy was not stupid and immediately realized that they would beat him now, perhaps even with his feet. Hastily retreating to his old 626 Mazda, he left, but after 10 minutes he returned with 2 friends. They nevertheless “pissed” to approach me, standing about 150 meters away and actively gesturing at me from time to time. The guys did not realize that I had already called the police, and in 5 minutes the “friends” would scatter, and this character would testify in handcuffs, carefully examining his shoes and return the money to the guests of the camping. Another 30 minutes later this rat fuss, he was also taken away in handcuffs in an unknown direction. I do not know what happened to him next, but in the morning, when he took a shower and left this place, his basin stood alone near the side of the road without waiting for its unlucky owner.
Total for the day: about 280 km covered, one swindler was handed over to the police.
Retrospective 03.07.2018 – Tuesday.
Sleeping in Iceland in the summer also means hiding your eyes from the light, which in no way wants to yield to darkness due to its proximity to the Arctic Circle. By the way, it may seem to someone that in my essays I am somewhat biased towards a particular nationality, but I assure you, this is not so. I have acquaintances, very decent, with good moral qualities, native Poles.Yes, and in my travels in Poland, for the most part, on the way I met sympathetic and kind people. It looks like Poland’s early accession to the EU caused a certain number of “cunning” characters to come to Iceland in search of easy prey.
The place is gorgeous, but today, according to the forecast, the weather will water and blow until lunchtime, thus expressing in a peculiar way natural hospitality. Tomorrow did not bode well either, except for rare gaps and monotonous rain for the whole day.A neighboring elderly family from Germany, as a token of gratitude for having saved them from the scammer, invited them to a delicious breakfast with fried sausages and potatoes. Which, with the light hand of the hostess, turned into lunch with my favorite German goulash soup. After a hearty lunch, you are supposed to sleep, but this is in theory, but in practice you have to go. I put on a protection from the rain and moved towards George’s apartment, which had already become my local second home. I chose a rather difficult path – with unpaved passes, but as it turned out, the most beautiful one.
On one of the climbs I caught up with the Swedes in a Suzuki Jimny 4×4. The guys, seeing me, were delighted and immediately asked to take a couple of pictures from the side with their camera. They did not cheat me either, and now in the archive there are a couple of shots of me from a dirt pass, filmed with a phone.
Whatever one may say, but the photos do not convey even a tenth of the beauty that you observe with your own eyes. And therefore Iceland is definitely recommended for me to visit. And preferably FROM two weeks, on an enduro motorcycle or a lifted 4×4 SUV in case of emergency.
Snow lay lonely on the pass like blue and white blots. The wind blew in such a way that even all my “onion clothes” did not really save me from the cold chilling to my bones. Not becoming a long linger at the top and hastily admiring the views, hastened to descend closer to sea level. There the wind died down, and the temperature was already bearable for a lone motorcyclist. Arrived exactly after George’s shift, at about one in the morning, quickly washed himself and went to bed.
04.07.2018 – Wednesday
Wednesday met with torrential rain, which rained all day without ceasing. The bike was under a canopy, so I did a quick MOT, checking the electronics, lubricating the chain and adding the last 200 grams of oil just above the level. Between the drops I hit the liquor store. There I stocked myself with beer and my favorite wine – Chilean chardonnay Casillero del Diablo. Excellent price-quality I can tell you, even here. I will attach the check below, who is interested in calculating how much it cost.
At the exit I met some guys from Minsk, who were incredibly surprised to see the RB number on the motorcycle, not immediately believing that I hadn’t come here with him. They begged me to take a photo and threw me into the vibe. Upon arrival home, we drank the wine quickly enough, after which we proceeded to beer, chips and dried fish. People came and went, brought something edible and alcoholic. And so the day flew by.
07/05/2018 – Thursday
This day was stingy with adventures – a quick farewell, arrival at the port, getting tickets and boarding the ferry accompanied by loud shouts of the “drivers”.
Deep blue foamed water, moving away from Iceland, a ferry, seething elements accompanied our departure.Repacking things, lunch, dinner, sleep.
In total, about 270 km were covered in 3 days and the motorcycle was loaded onto a ferry.
Retrospective at 06.07.2018 – Friday. Part 1.
The sea stormed and the only thing that brightened the transition from Iceland to the Faroe Islands was a free sauna and a swimming pool on the lower deck, which, apparently, most of the passengers did not know about. In addition to the sauna and gymnasium, 2 Japanese baths have been installed by the pool. It was there that I got stuck until late at night.
REM sleep. rise at 3:30 am, packing, shower, toilet and descent into the hold for their horses. This time there is more space in the hold and the motorcycles are neatly positioned against the walls in several places. I took a photo of the guys in two old Africa Twin and went to pack my things in motorcycle trunks.
At 5 a.m. all the motorcycles have already unloaded, Afrikanivody and several other enduriks have left somewhere at once. And only now I noticed that there were only Harley-Davidson around me, hung with dry bags and tents. And on them, imposingly, as if on thrones, riders who had seen life sat. The bulk of men are from 40-50 years old, but the fair half, apparently far over 40, accounted for about 20-25% of the total number of those present. It could be seen that the arrivals were met by the locals, tk. the first 5 minutes they got to know each other and “fraternized”. The chief of them noticed me, approached with a confident step, and asked if I had any plans? I answered in the negative, said that the best plan for the trip is his absence. To which he warmly smiled and invited me to breakfast, and later on a tour of the island. The gathering was scheduled for 8 a.m. in a red building near the port with a green roof, where their motorcycle club was located. For the remaining 3 hours, I drove to a gas station, poured under the cap and rode around the neighborhood.
Having taken a picture of a couple of waterfalls by the fjord with a small industrial port, I began to look for shelter from the rain. Near a supermarket I was amused by a parking lot for dogs, which represented a corresponding sign and two hooks on the sides. You can see it in the photo below.
By 8 am I was already near the club building, carefully parking my motorcycle on the opposite side in a permitted place. It was a little tight on these narrow streets with parking. Life in the club was already in full swing, and people were still arriving.
They poured cafes, tea, someone took out sweets and other food, sharing with everyone. I also took out a bag of cookies that had traveled all over Iceland. Despite the kilometers of soil they had covered, life spared them – almost all of them turned out to be intact. In the end, local club members brought in a bunch of ready-made sandwiches with red fish, cheese, meat and vegetables.Honestly, at first I felt like a poor relative who accidentally came to a well-to-do family. I have not seen motorcycles cheaper than 13-15 kilobucks here as a class. But the people were relaxed and simple, I harmoniously joined the conversation and after 5 minutes I was actively discussing custom bikes, fakes, whistles and pipes. Then they announced a gathering near the port at 12:30, from where the excursion will begin for all participants of Nordic Run 2018, and of course me))).
There were still two hours left before the excursion. And one of the local guys offered to show us a beautiful place nearby, where we will not enter with the whole crowd, but it is worth seeing. In addition to me, there were three more willing and we went to a village called Kirkjubøur. Even despite the cloudy weather, the colors and saturation of the colors of nature were not inferior to those of Iceland.
And the density of waterfalls and other beauties of the Faroe Islands even surpassed it. After taking a couple of photos and videos from the drone, we went to the excursion collection point. Here is a video from the village at 1080p 60fps.
Retrospective on 06.07.2018 – Friday. Part 2.
On the way to the meeting point, 3 kilometers from the city, I noticed a camping where, as I learned later, the participants of the Nordic Run 2018 motocross were accommodated (who is interested in info here – http://www.nordicrun.dk). The guys drove there to hurry up the motorcycle brothers, and I slowly drove to the port. All gathered by 12:30 and after a short briefing with an approximate route of the excursion set off in a large column.I can imagine how it looked, 30-40 Harleys and it’s not clear how old Honda Transalp was wedged in among them. A good half immediately fell off in the campsite, I suppose to pull a beer and they wanted to relax more than to see the islands in an organized way. The rest of the local HD MC (Harley-Davidson Motor Club) took beautiful roads through the bewitching places of the heart.
To be honest, I have not seen so many waterfalls per square kilometer anywhere else. Even Iceland and Costa Rica cannot be compared to the Faroe Islands. The convoy was led by a local motobrother Eyðun Leo (https://facebook.com/eydun.leo), whom I had already met in Iceland and on the ferry. Leo occasionally stopped and spoke briefly about the nearby attractions. The rear of the column was Eddie Petersen (https://facebook.com/eddie.petersen.96), one of the organizers of the local HD MC, keeping an eye on the column and traffic conditions.
Having visited a couple of villages with gorgeous views, I barely had time between the rains to take pictures and shoot video on a copter. Words cannot describe this splendor – I will just leave a photo here.Below are a couple of links to videos in FullHD 60fps from the village of Tjørnuvík (which means “Sunset”). Immediately I apologize for the camera and directing work. These were some of the first videos shot by a drone, and as a result, the lack of experience negatively affected the quality of the material.
View of the village and its surroundings:
View of the Harleys and my TA600V, which is among them:
We stopped at a gas station for the third time and went to a cafe for dinner.Took tea and ham sandwich. Having looked at the clock, I decided to go “home”, namely to the guest house, which was located 90 km from our location. There I rented a single room for adequate money (~ 20 EUR per night), which is a rarity in the Faroes. Usually, the cost of living in the season here is not inferior to Iceland (70-100 EUR per bed, and this is in a hostel). Despite the deceptive light outside the window, it was already 23:30. I agreed with the hostess in advance that the key to my room No. 2 will stick out in the door and I can come at any time.On payment, she said “don’t worry, everything will be later.” An hour and a half drive along serpentines with tunnels between the islands and I am there. A week ago I had an invitation from local couchsurfers, but I canceled it – 2 nights were not worth dragging to the farthest island 150 km one way from the capital and the port. In addition, the guys said that we would not have much time for communication. Because from a relatively full-fledged meal was only breakfast arranged a “night dojoor”. It’s time to eat up the leftovers, no sooner said than done.Hastily concocted a bolognese pasta with fried sausages and scrambled eggs. I realized that I myself could not master all this and shared it with a young couple from Lithuania, who were staying right there like me. It turned out to be 3 full servings. In response, they treated them to a beer and the evening ceased to be languid. I went to the side at 4 o’clock in the morning, before my head touched the pillow, I was already asleep.
Total for the day: according to rough estimates, came out about 400-450 km. Which is quite a lot for the Faroe Islands.
Retrospective at 06-07.07.2018 – Saturday, Sunday.
It was pouring rain all day and until noon the next day. But I did my washing calmly, threw photos / videos from the copter, chatted with my family and slept off in the end. Chronic lack of sleep and constant mobility have accumulated an order of fatigue. So today was the perfect day to get rid of her completely.
Total per day 0 km.
07.07.2018 – Sunday.
I woke up at one in the afternoon, it was still raining – well, okay, but I slept well.Light snack and unhurried packing. Closer to noon, the clouds blew away and the sun slowly began to peep out. Before leaving, as agreed with the hostess, he left the money on the bed, and did not close the room, leaving the keys in the lock. For the cleaning lady to change the bedding and tidy up. For all the time, I have not seen anyone except the guests of the house. The Lithuanians showed a beautiful place on the map yesterday and I went there.
Upon arrival, I met old acquaintances in Harleys, about 15 people. We were delighted to meet, 2 motor-sisters and one motor-brother decided to go with me to Torskhvan to have lunch somewhere in a cafe.According to reviews on Google, I found a decent place with a good view and we moved to The Nordic House. I am the host, Kata Suokko, Rita Pedersen and Jukka Mustakallio are the last.
He took the guys not along the main path, but on local paths, although sometimes the road became really narrow and it would be extremely problematic for two cars to separate, the views were fascinating. There were 10 minutes left until the end of the lunch menu and we quickly paid for a set meal for 149 DKK each (~ 20 EUR, yes, the local currency here is Danish krone). We started to set a buffet. In the meantime, we went to the wardrobe and began to take off our layered robes. While we were undressing, the chef-waiter prepared everything. The kitchen was very decent. Creamy mushroom soup with light spiciness and pieces of red fish went to the chilled travelers with a bang. I even went for the second portion of the soup))) The people followed my example without hesitation. Painfully he was in the subject, hot, rich. The second was meat, fish and cheese slices. While we were leisurely saturating, admiring the views from the large panoramic windows, they brought us a poster, informing us that in an hour the festival of Scandinavian folk music would begin here. This is what we entered successfully. For only 100 DKK (~ 13.5 EUR), material food was soon replaced by spiritual food.
A short video of a part of the speech:

I won’t say that I liked everything, but some of the compositions were quite interesting. A string quartet performed, gently weaving Scandinavian folk motifs with classics into an original Scandinavian style canvas. The concert ended with a solo performance of a classical guitar accompanied by author’s songs in the Scandinavian way.On my travels, I really like to listen to live music, and here is a whole festival. Then we went to the center, met some more guys and sat down with the whole company in a cafe to enjoy the sunny weather, tea and pleasant communication.
While waiting for the ferry, we turned around the local streets near the port. We drove into a dead end under a slope, barely turned around. They poked and pushed around the city and went to the port to get ready for loading. A good half of the group was already there.
Later, the guys pulled up on an enduro tour, met.I took a picture of how professional motorcycle travelers carry their belongings – sealed bags are still attached to the aluminum trunks from above. In this situation, you can also load a “half of a horse” on a motorcycle))))
Farewell, loading, installation and fastening of motorcycles took place already at about 1 am. I threw my things in the cabin, took a shower and onto the side.
Total for the day: no more than 140 km covered, the motorcycle is loaded onto a ferry.
07/09/2018 – Monday.
The weather was cheesy, the only thing that brightened up the stay was the incredible amount of beer that the guys from HD MC were drinking insatiably)))). Having told the new comrades about the empty sauna with a pool, part of them decided to relocate from the cold, and blown by all the winds, upper deck there. We went in advance for swimming accessories, stocked up with beer, fish and snacks. Therefore, in between visits to the sauna, we sat relaxed by the pool, making several tables in one, and continued to “refuel”.Having finished off everything that was pouring and chewing, the company gradually dispersed to the cabins.
07/10/2018 – Tuesday
Arrival at 9:30, wake up at 7:30, shower, packing and we are already standing in front of closed hydraulic bulkheads on decks with motorcycles and hoof beats. The doors opened, unbuckled the motorcycle, helped the neighbor to do the same. He somehow managed to get tangled in the belts and was already frankly swearing, as it seemed to me, in Danish.
Today I sleep with a 64-year-old old lady named Caja Svendsen. Here is her profile – https: //www.couchsur…caja.svendsen.1 who will be there – do not drive by, say hello and stop for the night. She has her own house, surrounded by woods, on the outskirts of Strandby. The house was not small, so there was another couchsurfer visiting her. A young guy of 22 years old from the United States, who has lived there for the second or third month, helping with the housework. For housework, she fed him and gave him shelter. He, in turn, was not opposed to mowing the grass, cleaning the yard, washing the floors and doing other small chores around the house. He was also addicted and wrote quite passable electronic music on his laptop. In general, she is not bored, and he feels good. When she found out that I was playing the guitar, she was delighted, saying that her son “is also good at it.” I immediately called him and invited him and his wife to visit, ordered not to forget the guitar. Then she said that she would cook us a delicious dinner, and everyone would be there by 6 pm. Throwing his luggage in the room lightly hit the road to the nearest supermarket. There he took 2 bottles of local wine, two local moldy cheeses, something else and went home. While the court and the case washed the motorcycle with a hose, looked at the oil level and lubricated the chain. As soon as food began to appear on the table, the guests arrived with a bottle of wine and two guitars. One pop, the second classic. We sat there well, I can tell you. He showed what a quadcopter is, took a couple of photos and a video from above – everyone really liked it. Caja (pronounced Kakha) was delighted like a child, bursting into tears and said that for the first time she saw her home, which was built by her father, from a bird’s eye view. So the dinner passed, on the terrace, for live communication, songs with a guitar and, of course, delicious wine.
Here is a short video of the copter descent:

07/11/2018 – Wednesday.
I had a lot of things planned for this day. Firstly, buy and change the oil / filter so as not to ruin the engine. Secondly, drive another 280 km to the airport and meet my mistress. And thirdly, find and buy an XS size motorcycle helmet for her, as well as have time to meet the flight from Vilnius to Billund arriving at 15:20 local time. She brought the rest of the protection with her.In general, everything is real, I thought, and began to implement the plans.
To begin with, I looked for large motorcycle stores on the Internet, noted a couple of online ones. The closest major was in the city of Aalborg. I went there. I drove into one, the other, and only in the third one they found a good model in the warehouse, the right size, color at an adequate price, but as usual there is a “nuance” – a helmet in another city. Well he was relatively on the road. But, as you know, for a mad motorcyclist, the extra 50 km is not a hook))) I came and bought a helmet, filter, oil.On the advice of the guys, a kilometer from the store, I drove into a workshop where they really drove my bike to a motorcycle stand for some ridiculous money, inspected the components and changed the oil with a filter. The mechanic, a smart man of about 50 years old, worked quickly and professionally, not forgetting to ask me about the trip. The experienced eye of the mechanic noticed a couple of loosened bolts, tightened it up by adding sealant. Then I double-checked the rest of the bolts and connections on the entire motorcycle, wielding jewelry with keys. In general, in about 40 minutes, he did everything clearly, quickly and not expensive.Calculated by card. Generally good – no need to look for an ATM.
Another 140 km and I’m at the airport. I arrived half an hour before arrival, repacked my things and walked around the parking lot, kneading the bottom. By the way, when sorting things out, I found the contacts of the guys that they left behind at the beer gathering. so that I can find them on facebook as the internet appears. I decided to spend the night renting an apartment for 2 days by booking near the North Sea coast in the city of Fredericia, Denmark. The person who rented the apartment had not answered the phone for an hour, and the day was inexorably drawing to a close.I called the booking support service – they promised me to solve everything within an hour. Either they will call this loss, or they will find other apartments nearby for the same money. As an apology, booking dropped another 25% off my 15% discount as a Genius traveler. A trifle, but nice. About 40 minutes later the owner of the apartment showed up. On the upper, third floor, we were greeted by a shaggy-looking, half-asleep, informal emo with tunnels and earrings in his ear. As there is a pirate – only a parrot and a ship is not visible)))) To his credit, it must be said that the guy apologized for his joint, said that he did not see the time of our arrival, although I indicated it in the system 2 days before arrival and in the dialogue it too was duplicated. Then he gave clean bedding and towels, showed me the apartment and left, prompting that it would be much safer to park the motorcycle in the courtyard. Having hastily prepared sandwiches with tea, we ate and fell asleep …
The result of the day: about 350 km covered, the oil / filter changed, a helmet was bought and a “sniper” appeared.
To be continued ………
