The index and middle fingers are kept together (touching) and the back of the hand faces outwards (away from the gesturer). The gesture refers to the act of inserting the index and middle fingers into a vagina and the little finger into the unwitting anus, hence the “shock”.

Fan Cutouts – Wichita State Athletics

Support the Shockers even if you can’t make it to Charles Koch Arena this winter! Due to anticipated capacity limitations, we thought it was important to find a way for Shockers from all over the world to still be able to show their support. Have a custom fan cutout of yourself, a friend, or family member in Charles Koch Arena for all home games for men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball for the 2020-21 season. Each individual cutout will be authenticated and returned to fans after the season as a keepsake. Pick up information will be communicated at the conclusion of the season. Fan cutouts will be $125 for the premium lower bowl and $50 for a non-guaranteed prime location with proceeds from the program aiding the Shocker Pride Fund. 

We are unable to accommodate seat selection. If you purchase more than one cutout, we cannot guarantee they will be placed next to one another. Cutouts, which are limited in quantity, will be installed in waves beginning November 16.

• A shirt color on the same color background will make you look like a floating head.

If a cutout gets damaged, we will do our best to have it replaced in a timely fashion. WSU-ICAA reserves the right to decide what constitutes a damaged cutout. Shocker Athletics cannot guarantee the condition of your cutout after exposure to playing area, as such a faded image or a dent from a ball, will not result in a replaced cutout.

What if the season gets canceled?

All approved purchase cutouts are final and in no event shall such payments be refunded for any reason, including but not limited to the delay, suspension, or early termination of the season.

 

Miley’s VMAs performance a shocker

LOS ANGELES – The Parents Television Council is hot and bothered over Miley Cyrus’ performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

And the watchdog group isn’t too crazy about Lady Gaga’s shell bikini, either.

The PTC carried out its own cherished annual tradition on Monday, complaining about the VMAs. It accused the network of peddling adults-only material to children.

“MTV has once again succeeded in marketing sexually charged messages to young children using former child stars and condom commercials – while falsely rating this program as appropriate for kids as young as 14. This is unacceptable,” PTC director of public policy Dan Isett said in a statement. “This much is absolutely clear: MTV marketed adults-only material to children while falsely manipulating the content rating to make parents think the content was safe for their children.”

The PTC singled out Cyrus’ twerk-tastic, ribald performance with Robin Thicke – during which the former Disney Channel princess made suggestive gestures with an oversized foam finger – and Gaga’s show-opening performance of her single “Applause.”

“How is it appropriate for children to watch Lady Gaga strip down to a bikini in the opening act?” the PTC fumed.

Also on the group’s tsk-tsk list: A commercial for a condom company that aired during the ceremony, and an ad for an R-rated movie.

Isett went so far as to hold up this year’s VMAs as an example of why cable should move to an a la carte package structure.

“We urge Congress to pass the Television Consumer Freedom Act which will give parents and consumers a real solution for future MTV VMA programs – the ability to choose and pay for cable networks that they want vs. having to pay for networks they don’t want,” Isett said. “After MTV’s display last night, it’s time to give control back to consumers.”

The PTC wasn’t the only one displeased with Cyrus’ performance; Mika Brzezinski, of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” called the performance “disturbing” on Monday.

“I thought that was really really disturbing,” Brzezinski said. “That young lady, who is 20, is obviously deeply troubled, deeply disturbed, clearly has confidence issues, probably has an eating disorder. And I don’t think anybody should’ve put her up on stage, that was disgusting and embarrassing.”

Made the trip to International 2×4 Day at Hamilton’s Tavern to the second time in the last three years (also 2016). Got there a bit later than I wanted to, which was probably a good thing since I got a Melvin glass (for ordering a 4×8) and a Melvin t-shirt. Anyway, saw the tap list ahead of time and knew that I wanted to have at least The Hop Shocker (Mosaic and Simcoe) and 4×8 once again. Online description read, “Don’t touch me, ’cause I’m electric. And if you drink me, you’ll get SHOCKED! Experience pure uncut lupulin powder. In their clandestine lab, in the wild of Yakima, the crew processed Mosaic + Simcoe hops into alpha acid pow pow. The Melvin posse inhaled deep, and the legend of the Hop Shocker was born.”

Was dark in Hamilton’s as always, but this appeared to be a pale-to-golden clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of rocky white head when I got it. Could not see any bubbles underneath at the time. World-class foamy spiderweb lacing. World-class retention. (Sight – 4.50)

Smelled awesome from the get-go, leading with Mosaic and ending with Simcoe. Also papaya, grass, berry, tangerine, orange, passion fruit, peach, bubblegum, candied sugar and floral. (Smell – 4.50)

Taste followed the nose with Mosaic up front, followed by spicy Simcoe on the back end. Also sugary orange, tangerine, passion fruit, pepper, berry, pineapple, peach, red grapefruit and wet grass. (Taste – 4.25)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Spicy finish. (Feel – 4.00)

This was just an excellent beer, which was no surprise considering it was a Melvin brew. Probably should have waited until this came out in cans, but oh well. Will probably get it again anyway. (Overall – 4.25)

NCAA Basketball – A Wichita State Run During March Madness Could be a “Shock” to Vegas Sports Books

As Wichita State continues to roll along towards an undefeated season and a number 1 seed for March Madness, Vegas sports books continue to adjust future odds on the “Shockers.”

Wichita State could be had at 100-1 odds in early November at The LVH Super Book, while other Vegas spots, such as the MGM Grand sports book, had Wichita State as high as 60-1 to win the NCAA Basketball Championship. The LVH Super Book has a few $100  tickets out at 100-1, which would provide a very nice $10,000 payday for a few wise guys that pulled the trigger on Wichita State when the future odds offered maximum value.

I think many have seen this sign on cars, but what it means, to be honest, shocked me …

Shocker is an uncomplicated hand gesture, as if showing superiority over someone or over something, or for a joke, depending on the situation.

Shocker translates (colloquially) as “two in the pink, one in the smelly” or “two in the mucus, one in the pee”, in English it is “two in the pink, one in the stink”. I think from this it is clear that the shocker has a sexual connotation.

Like we make a ring with the thumb and ring fingers bent towards the palm, and the rest of the fingers are extended. Index and middle finger together, i.e. touch.

Gesture refers to the act of inserting the index and middle fingers into the vagina and the little finger into the receiver’s anus, hence “shock”, hence the name of the gesture – Shocker.

90,000 Shockers and batons used against peaceful protesters in Russia

Rallies in support of Alexei Navalny and other political prisoners were held throughout Russia.In parts of large cities, the police almost did not oppose peaceful rallies and processions, but in St. Petersburg they used stun guns and batons.

According to OVD-info, 1,745 people were detained in 94 cities in connection with rallies and processions. This includes those who were detained even before the start of the protests.

Most of the detainees ended up in St. Petersburg – almost 800 residents are reported, of which more than 80 were left overnight in the temporary detention facility. In Ufa, it is known about 119 detainees, in Kazan – 64, in Barnaul – about 58.

Kemerovo (36 detainees) and Novokuznetsk (30) were also among the leaders, overtaking Moscow (29). In Kemerovo, most were released without protocols, among the detainees was journalist Andrei Novashov. He told Taiga.info that he was taken to a separate office and later released without a protocol.

Beating

In Moscow and large regional centers like Novosibirsk and Irkutsk, the actions were relatively peaceful.But in St. Petersburg, the security forces acted very cruelly, as well as at the January 31 rally. They used batons, stun guns and other violence.

Shocker and special forces “Grad” are in the field. A criminal case was opened against the employees of the St. Petersburg FSB, who tortured two police officers

A criminal case was initiated on the torture of two police officers from the city of Tosno in the Leningrad region, follows from the decision of the investigator of the military investigation department of the Investigative Committee for the Western Military District Akimov. The case under the article on abuse of office with the use of violence and special means (paragraphs “a” and “b” of part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code) was initiated on February 19.

The investigation acknowledged that in 2017, during the detention of Tosno policemen Ilya Shchukin and Sergei Laslov, they were unlawfully used by the FSB officers for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. There are no suspects in the case yet.

Major Shchukin and Lieutenant Laslov were recognized as victims. Mediazona detailed the story of police officers who were accused of planting drugs to detainees in order to increase their detection rate.

According to two police officers, the FSB officers tortured them with a stun gun during their arrest in April 2017.Major Shchukin said that the FSB special forces “Grad” took part in the detention, who pulled him out of the car and transferred him to the FSB minibus, where they laid him on the floor and forbade him to raise his head. The policeman told them that he was driving “on business”.

“The Grad employees said that I was lying, while at the same time they used a special means of limiting and shocking defeat on me – an electroshock, making first shocks of current into the fingers. The torture, according to him, lasted about an hour and a half, but his colleague Laslov, detained in June 2017, was subjected to “even worse torture”. According to his lawyer Kirill Moskalev, the lieutenant was detained in the Tosno department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and taken away in the direction of the garages.

“[Dmitry] Kotusev, an officer of the Tosno department of the FSB, demanded that I confess to the crime, and the Grad officer, at his command, stabbed me with an electric shock, shocked me into the calf. As follows from the decision of the Investigative Committee, after the arrest, doctors recorded more than 20 bruises on Shchukin, and more than ten bruises and more than a hundred abrasions on Laslov.

“It was not possible to establish the involvement of specific officers of the FSB of Russia in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region who used violence against Shchukin and Laslov, the circumstances of the use of violence, as well as the special equipment used,” writes investigator Akimov.“At the same time, the presence of bodily injuries on Shchukin and Laslov, which could have formed within the time period indicated by them in their statements about the crime, indicates that the illegal acts of unidentified FSB officers <…> took place”.
