About Us
Through dynamic experiences, TeenPact seeks to inspire youth in their relationship with Christ and train them to understand the political process, value their liberty, defend the Christian faith, and engage the culture around them. “Changing lives to change the world” is more than a vision statement to us. It’s what we do every day.
State Classes
At TeenPact, we believe students learn best by doing. That’s why our State Classes are comprised of focused hands-on leadership training. With classes offered across the nation and for students ages 8-19, young people will quickly discover how to embrace their call as the next generation of leaders through the unique tools, teaching, and opportunities TeenPact provides.
Alumni Events
Our Alumni Events take students deeper in their relationship with Christ as they build lasting community and grow through intentional leadership training. While events activities range from meeting legislators on Capitol Hill to team building in South Dakota, the focus is the same – training students to be influential and servant-hearted leaders.

The DeLeon Team Presents at the 2018 AREAA National Convention in Las Vegas
by Michael Repka, Esq.
As the world continues to shrink due to efficient transportation and ever-evolving telecommunications, global reach has become critically important. This is as true for real estate as it is for most industries.
The real estate community is served by countless professional organizations that go to extraordinary lengths to enhance the lives of its members and to improve the service provided to consumers.
The Realtor® Association is managed by a Board of Directors that devote a significant amount of time at the local, state, and national levels. As a former board member of the California Association of Realtors, I can attest to this significant amount of time that agents contribute to improving our industry.
In addition to the Realtor® Association, there are number of other groups that enhance the industry. These include the various Multiple Listing Services around the country that facilitate a seamless flow of information about properties available on the market. There are also a number of more narrowly focused trade associations.
In my experience, one of the best run and most effective specialized association is the Asian Real Estate Association of America (“AREAA”).
Melanie Yu and Audrey Sun head the DeLeon Team’s international marketing efforts. Through their fantastic work, we have become AREAA’s number one real estate team in the entire United States. This really is quite an honor.
I was also asked to speak at the AREAA National Convention, which was held at the Aria resort in Las Vegas, Nevada from October 18-20, 2018.
The materials that I covered included how to build an effective team that can cater to the needs of buyers coming from around the world. I also addressed the benefits of working on a collaborative team versus trying to do everything individually.
Naturally, a lot of the attendees had questions about international and domestic legal and tax issues that could impact their business. I always enjoy these topics.
While there, we had the opportunity to attend a number of presentations by other top real estate agents from around the country. These presentations covered topics as diverse as interior design trends, effective marketing techniques, and dealing with language barriers.
Overall, I learned a lot from the other presenters, as well as the other attendees, and I hope they walked away with some useful information from my presentation too.
As I write this article, Melanie, Audrey and I are working on our next presentation, which we will deliver at the Luxury Properties Showcase (“LPS”) in Shanghai, China, which runs from December 7-9, 2018. The LPS show provides us with a great opportunity to present our listings to affluent buyers in Asia and the Middle East, and to catch up with old friends.
On The Road With LeagueApps: 2018 NFCA National Convention
To truly understand the youth sports landscape, you need to be out in the field listening to those living these sports on a daily basis. As convention season hits its stride, we’ve been racking up the frequent flyer miles in the hopes of connecting with the most enterprising and inspirational youth sports organizers and stakeholders around the country. To that end, the LeagueApps’ team headed to Chicago last week for the softball event of the year. The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) National Convention, known simply as “convention,” brought youth and college coaches, players, organizers, and tournament operators together for an unprecedented celebration of the game. The four-day event was chock full of spotlight presentations, networking and professional development opportunities, and an impressive collection of entrepreneurs introducing their products to the softball community.
The NFCA has come leaps and bounds in its 35 years of existence. In 1983, the organization supported just 40 members. Fast-forward to today and the NFCA supports over 5,500 organizations from all 50 states and nine countries overseas. The NFCA’s annual convention aims to aid as many of its members as possible with robust educational offerings. Topics ranged from coaching tactics and techniques to college recruitment and player safety. The NFCA packages these topics in a variety of ways and tailors their content so that it is relatable for veteran members and first-time attendees alike.
We were fortunate enough to speak with most of the attendees at the event last week. As softball continues to expand, it remains clear that the sport’s greatest strength lies in its tight-knit community. The convention facilitated the sharing of ideas and best practices in an open and honest manner, demonstrating the softball community’s desire to grow the game the right way. ESPN’s Holly Rowe was one of the convention’s keynote speakers and she echoed the sentiment of being a great teammate. Whether you’re trying to win on the field, attempting to grow your organization or the game itself, relying on the community and giving back to the community is the way to get there.
Great start to the @NFCA Convention! Great message about the growth of our game and our responsibility with it! Holly Rowe hit one out of the park with the keynote! Showing up with passion and purpose – you will be rewarded! #nfcaplayball pic.twitter.com/AzGNajrvh2
— Amanda Reckamp (@CoachReckamp) December 6, 2018
One of the common themes throughout the convention and on the exhibitor floor was the role technology will play in the growth of the game. From the latest apparel and equipment trends to smart tech geared towards player performance and safety, the influence of spirited sports-centric entrepreneurs cannot be overstated. Just as baseball has embraced advanced analytics over the past decade, so too has softball. We left the Windy City confident that the future of the game is good hands with the NFCA serving as a guiding light for the community.
NCDD Community News » 8th National Conference on Dialogue & Deliberation
8th National Conference on Dialogue & Deliberation
The 2018 National Conference on Dialogue & Deliberation took place in downtown Denver November 2-4, 2018 with 450 participants.
Check out all the great events at the conference via our Interactive Conference Guidebook, Conference Schedule, as well as our Workshop Page and the D&D Showcase page.
We also had a great team of graphic recorders capturing sessions and plenary speakers at the conference – you can see the recordings here.
NCDD conferences aren’t just about having fun and enjoying the company of our field’s movers and shakers. They’re about forming new partnerships, strategizing together about how we can tackle our field’s greatest challenges, showcasing some of the coolest arts, technologies, and methods for public engagement — and so much more.
Explore the Conference Guidebook – here in PDF, and in interactive form below!
“Connecting and Strengthening Civic Innovators”
So much of our political environment is rife with partisan rancor. Our communities are struggling with crisis after crisis. These and other factors have people across the country yearning for the ability to listen to one another with more understanding and civility, to work more effectively across differences, and to improve how we make decisions together and engage in our democracy.
Just what our field specializes in.
So for the 2018 conference, we are making space to dig deep into what we know about helping and healing democracy. Now is the time to bring the work of the dialogue, deliberation, and public engagement field into greater visibility and use. There are so many valuable processes and resources that our extended community of practice offers, and we’d like to explore ways to make this work spread. Join us to cultivate its widespread practice in our communities.
At NCDD 2018, we will explore bringing dialogue, deliberation, and public engagement to the forefront by:
- Cultivating new partnerships and connections with other fields utilizing these approaches, including government, libraries, and journalism;
- Developing our skills, and building our toolkits to address the emerging needs in the communities we work with and live in;
- Making the case for public engagement, by elevating the stories of how people are coming together across divides, making decisions and taking action together, as well as demonstrating the value and impact of this work;

Moscow hosted the regular annual congress of the International Football Federation (FIFA), in which Russian President Vladimir Putin took part.During the meeting, which took place on the eve of the championship of the planet, the head of state stressed that Russia is sincerely glad to see athletes and fans of the 21st FIFA World Cup. He also promised to provide everyone who comes to the world championship with maximum comfort and the most positive emotions. In turn, FIFA President Gianni Infantino personally thanked Vladimir Putin for organizing the 2018 World Cup.
Delegates from all 211 national football associations and six continental confederations came to the 68th FIFA Congress in Moscow, Vladimir Putin said. The head of state thanked those present for their support over the seven years that Russia was preparing for one of the most popular and significant events in world sports. He addressed special words of gratitude to FIFA President Gianni Infantino, noting his consistently positive attitude towards our country.
Vladimir Putin highlighted the loyalty of the International Football Union to the principle of “Sports without politics”.
– Russia has always adhered to such approaches and strives for the closest interaction with everyone who is determined to develop and strengthen the creative principle of sport, its boundless humanistic potential, – he said.
Such major events, the Russian president emphasized, provide an opportunity to learn new things about different peoples and their traditions, to find new friends. This, he said, helps to make sure that other countries are also home to kind, enthusiastic and open people who want to live in peace, communicate, visit each other, watch and play football together.
“Our goal is for all our guests – from football stars to ordinary fans – to feel the hospitality and benevolence of our people, to be imbued with the distinctive, multinational culture and unique nature of Russia and would like to return to us again,” said Vladimir Putin.
He also recalled the importance that the championship has for the host country.
– Many generations of our fans have dreamed of bringing together the best teams in the world. And tomorrow this dream will become a reality, – said the head of state.
Vladimir Putin assured that the Russian Federation is ready to host the FIFA World Cup and provide all guests with maximum comfort and the most positive emotions.
Vice-President of the Brazilian Football Confederation, FIFA Council Member Fernando Sarni praised the speech of the President of the Russian Federation to the delegates of the Congress and expressed confidence that Russia will cope with the upcoming World Cup.Recall that it was Brazil that hosted the previous world championship in 2014.
“We know from ourselves how difficult it is to organize an event of this scale,” Fernando Sarni shared with Izvestia. – In terms of sports, infrastructure and logistics, a lot of work needs to be done. This is especially true for security issues. But we see that everything is already ready in Russia. Both in Moscow and in Sochi, where the Brazilian national team is based. I am very pleased with the conditions in which our team lives. I am confident that the world championship will be held at a high level, as guaranteed by President Putin. He and his country had to do a lot of work to prepare for this world championship, but everything is organized perfectly. I would like to thank the Russian leader for this, as well as for the support of FIFA, which he expressed in his speech today.
One of the key events of the congress was the selection of the organizers of the 2026 World Cup. It has already been decided that 48 national teams will take part in it – 16 teams more than in 2018. As a result, for the first time in history, the tournament will be hosted by three countries at once – the USA, Canada and Mexico. For their joint application, 134 national federations out of 199 voted. The only competitor of these three countries in the fight for the World Cup 2026 was Morocco.
“I think the FIFA Congress has made the best decision,” Mikael Sylvester, finalist of the 2006 World Cup with the French national team, told Izvestia. – The USA and Canada are large countries capable of hosting a major tournament at a high level. The same goes for Mexico, which is a truly footballing country. These three states can organize everything at the same level as France, Germany and Russia.
According to Fernando Sarni, the decision to give the world championship to three countries at once is justified for the first time in history, given the huge flow of guests, which will be caused by an increase in the number of tournament participants by one and a half times.
“This decision will benefit world football and FIFA,” he said. – Given the fact that there will be 48 teams in 2026, it is very important that the infrastructure of the host side withstands the flow of visiting teams and fans. The US, Canada, and Mexico must deal with this.
In the evening, a gala concert of classical music “Stars of the World Stage” took place on Red Square, timed to coincide with the start of the World Cup. The leading opera singers of Russia and the world gathered at the walls of the Kremlin – sopranos Anna Netrebko, Aida Garifullina and Albina Shagimuratova, tenors Yusif Eyvazov, Placido Domingo and Juan Diego Flores, bass Ildar Abdrazakov. Accompanied by the Mariinsky Theater Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Valery Gergiev, they performed popular arias. The hosts of the evening were top model, philanthropist Natalia Vodianova and pianist Denis Matsuev. The very idea of the concert belonged to him.
– I am very glad that my initiative to gather great performers in the heart of our country, on Red Square, has come true. We played classical music and sang – for football, for peace, for sports, for friendship. We have got a unique constellation of artists, – the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation told Izvestia. – Yesterday we listened to great singers on Red Square, and today we will be picking up our voices in Luzhniki during the official opening of the World Cup.It is imperative to support our team. What sets true fans apart is that they stay with their team no matter what. The Russian national team really needs our energy, passion and support. We are together with our footballers, we root for them and are proud of them.
Some of the performers have a special relationship with the sport. For example, the soloist of the Mariinsky Theater, People’s Artist of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, Ildar Abdrazakov, admitted to Izvestia that sometimes he himself goes to the football field.
– Culture and sport unite the world and bring happiness to people.Since childhood, I love football – both watching and playing it. When I come to Moscow, we get together and play together with Denis Matsuev, Vasily Ladyuk, Alexander Sladkovsky and other musicians – we have such a “musical team”, – said the singer.

The third day of the conference was devoted to the organizational foundations of the training of the sports reserve in football. It was opened by Lyudmila Sarayeva, Deputy Director of the Department of State Policy in the Sphere of Sports and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, who presented a report on the topic “The Unified All-Russian Classification (ESCC). Requirements and conditions for the fulfillment of sports titles and categories in the sport” football “. his speech with the fact that the TRP system was the founder of the EWSK, and it became clear in 2015, when the order of the Ministry of Sports No. 108 was issued. It should be said here that the EWSK establishes the norms and requirements, the fulfillment of which is necessary for the assignment of the corresponding sports titles and sports categories for the sports included in the All-Russian Register of Sports, as well as the conditions for the fulfillment of these norms and requirements. During her speech, Lyudmila Anatolyevna emphasized that sports classification is part of the management system in sports, which includes an assessment of the result based on the results of competitions and incentives to achieve the result.According to Lyudmila Sarayeva, the list of competitions for which categories and titles are assigned should be supplemented with new tournaments.
Next, the floor was given to Igor Tebaykin, Deputy Head of the Organizational and Methodological Directorate of the Federal Center for Sports Reserve Training. He spoke about the federal standard of sports training as a means of implementing state policy in the preparation of a sports reserve and the regulatory framework for the activities of organizations for training reserves. The federal standard, which is being amended, includes four stages: the stage of initial training, the training stage, the stage of improving sportsmanship and the stage of higher sportsmanship. There is one more stage that is not included in the federal standard – sports and recreation, which, nevertheless, plays a very important role and is implemented in organizations of additional education for children, carrying out activities in the field of physical culture and sports.
Andrey Vlasov, Deputy Technical Director, Head of the Department for Innovation Policy, Science and Education of the RFU, presented the report “RFU Program.Regional training centers for football players and its relationship with the state concept of the program “Legacy of the 2018 FIFA World Cup”. As Andrei Evgenievich noted, this is the program that was presented at the next meeting of the RFU Executive Committee, which took place the day before in the House of Football.
The program provides for the development of regional football training centers (RCPF) – schools that will be able to provide year-round training work, conduct selection work, train personnel and help regional football federations to conduct high-quality competitions. The minimum criteria for the certification of schools oblige to have teams of football players under 19 years old, players of national teams of a region or country, to occupy certain places at certain ages. Based on these criteria, schools are divided into: RCPF (4-year development program, highly qualified coaches of at least category C, protection from the transfer of football players to other schools), Academy and Academy of the highest category (attachment to RPL and FNL clubs).
The Speaker noted that in 2019 it is planned to create a single format for players aged 7-12, from 13 to 16 years old – to intensify competition and prepare an agreed calendar. For the 17-year-olds, it is proposed to create a separate 12-team competition with qualifications for the UEFA Youth League. The selection criteria for the new tournament are as follows: sports rating for 5 years, the number of school representatives in the Russian national teams, expert assessment of competition in the regions, the pool of participants reduces organizational and financial costs. The tournament is played according to the “autumn-spring” system. The format is each with each, and the winner will have the right to represent the country in the European Youth Cup. Also, the tournament for the teams of the highest (second in rank) group will continue to be held in the same format.
Nikolay Kocheshkov in his second report spoke about “Training in youth football in different age categories: 6-9 years old, 10-14 years old, 15-17 years old”. In his speech, he also revealed the methodological patterns of growth of a 6-9-year-old player, which are subdivided into: actions with the ball (reception (stopping), passing, dribbling), hitting and heading), actions without the ball (opening, reducing space, guarding, pressing, positioning), understanding the game and reading the game. At the same time, the sequence of training a player of this age category can be expressed in the following formula: ball / ball + goal / ball + goal + opponent / ball + goal + opponent + partner / ball + goal + opponents + partners. At the same time, at an older age – 15-17 years old – the program is aimed at tactics, which includes several phases: attack, defense and the transition from defense to attack and from attack to defense. The coach of the Russian youth national team among young men born in 2002 said that at the age of 15, the emphasis is on group tactical interactions, while at the age of 16-17, team interactions are also trained.
Three days of the conference turned out to be very fruitful, rich in useful information, which, no doubt, will be used by its participants in their future work.

90,000 An open training session of the Peru national team took place at the Arena-Khimki stadium before the 2018 World Cup
On June 11, a massive open training session was held at the Arena-Khimki stadium before the World Cup, the Peru national team held an open training session, the press service of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Moscow Region reported.
As the press service reminded, in the Moscow region before the start of the main sporting event of the year, a series of open training sessions of national teams is being held.Despite the rain and earlier in the morning, the training of the Peruvians is the most massive. Their main fans, journalists and students from youth sports schools came to look at the team that last qualified for the World Cup in 1982. Among the spectators were also pupils of the Saturn football club from Ramensk and Khimki near Moscow.
“The event was held in a positive and friendly atmosphere. About 500 Peruvians came to the training session of their team in bright national costumes and with the attributes of fans, which created the feeling of being present at the World Cup, ”the message says.
It specifies that about 30 thousand Peruvians will arrive in total for the period of the World Cup. The first match will take place against Denmark on July 16 in Saransk at the Mordovia Arena stadium.
As added in the material, after the training, the Peruvian ball flew into the stands as a gift, and the coach of the national team Ricardo Gareca handed his shirt to one of the brightest fans.
“The Peru national team arrived in Russia on June 10th. They chose the Arena-Khimki stadium, where their first training session took place today. It is worth noting the high level of organization of the Peruvian fans, who created the effect of being present not in Khimki, but at the World Cup match. And this is not surprising – the Peruvian national team has not made it to the world championship for 36 years, so their fans pin great hopes on Ricardo Garek’s team, ”said Roman Teryushkov, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Moscow Region, in his words the message is.
In Bashkiria, despite the August, the weather continues to break records. The high temperature will continue in the coming week.
Oksana Drapkina, director of the National Medical Research Center for Therapy and Preventive Medicine, chief freelance specialist in therapy and general medical practice of the Russian Ministry of Health, spoke about why it is important to wear light clothes and drink more water in such weather.
What should not be done in the heat?
“In the heat it is necessary to avoid anything that increases the body temperature and prevents the body from lowering it,” advises Oksana Drapkina. So, you should not stay in the sun for a long time. In addition, it is necessary to avoid significant as well as prolonged physical activity. According to the expert, it is better to be in places where it is cool and low humidity (for example, where an air conditioner operates, which not only cools, but also dehumidifies the air). from plentiful food intake, hot foods and drinks.
Clothes in the heat
Clothes in hot weather should be as light as possible and provide ventilation, noted Oksana Drapkina. In addition, you should choose light-colored items, since dark ones heat up more in the sun. It is better to give preference to natural fabrics – cotton and linen.
Drinking regime
“In the heat, you need to drink more liquid and do it regularly,” recalls Oksana Drapkina. Plain water and fruit drinks are best suited for these purposes.
“Sweetened drinks are harmful at normal times, but especially in hot weather, as they will increase thirst,” the expert emphasizes. In addition, it is very important not to consume alcohol, which disrupts thermoregulation and exacerbates the adverse effects of exposure to high temperatures.
Work and rest hours
“Those who are forced to work in the heat should watch for signs of dehydration and overheating, ensure regular drinking of fluids (for example, every 15 minutes) and regular breaks from work, optimally with staying at this time in in a cool, air-conditioned room, ”the doctor said. She noted that it is important to remember that irritability, decreased ability to concentrate and perform difficult production tasks can be among the first manifestations of the adverse effects of such weather.
Chronic diseases
“In hot weather, many changes occur in the body, which can contribute to the exacerbation or progression of chronic diseases,” Oksana Drapkina draws attention.
According to her, in the heat, blood supply to organs can be disrupted, electrolytes are lost, veins expand and heart rate increases, all this contributes to the development of thrombosis, the progression of cardiac arrhythmias, coronary heart disease, heart failure and chronic venous insufficiency.
The expert also added that too active attempts to cool down – staying in wet clothes in the wind, drinking cold liquids – can cause intensification of infections and inflammatory diseases, such as sore throats or pneumonia.
Symptoms of sunstroke
“When exposed to high temperatures, the body becomes dehydrated,” says Drapkina. “In addition, excessive sweating results in electrolyte deficiencies, which can lead to dizziness, nausea, vomiting and seizures.”In severe cases, thermoregulation is disturbed, the body overheats, the body temperature rises, the skin becomes dry and hot, shortness of breath and loss of consciousness may occur.
“If all these changes are very pronounced, then we can talk about the occurrence of heat or sunstroke, which can cause damage to the brain and other vital organs, and sometimes cause death,” she warns.
