- Completely rebuilding the kitchen
- Adding a new half bathroom
- Creating a new 17′ x 17′ addition that houses a family room, storage closets, and the relocated laundry facilities

Gino, Ryan, Justin and Eric Carrier,
If we wanted to stay in our present home, we knew major changes had to be made (washer/dryer from cellar to 1st floor, new kitchen and the addition of a 1/2 bath).
First, we went with a realtor and saw many homes for sale – nothing appealed to us. We made the decision to do the renovation/addition to our present home. We interviewed three contractors and went with the best – Carrier! You and your crew were professional, knowledgeable, friendly and easy to work with. The result of the final project – A+++ – we could not be happier!!
You gave us a totally rebuilt kitchen; the porch off the kitchen was removed, rebuilt and became the dining area and in the new 17′ X 17′ addition, you created magic: a washer/dryer closet, 1/2 bath, two storage closets and a “family room”! You were above and beyond our expectations!
It is a privilege to recommend Carrier to anyone who is looking for a contractor for major renovations and/or additions!
Respectfully,
Dave & Donna Paye
Unionville, CT
We used Carrier for a major renovation and addition to our home. We could not be happier with the results. The addition looks as if it was part of the original design. The Carrier family has been in the business for decades and it showed in their ability to think outside the box when making the most efficient use of space. And their personal touch and attention to detail gave us comfort along the way that the job was going to be done to our satisfaction.
Thank you Gino and Ryan!

Dear Carrier Family,
My wife, Sheila, and I are finally settled in our new home in Essex, Connecticut, a development built by your family. Surprisingly and not usually an expected enjoyable experience the entire process has been smooth and, dare I say, satisfying. Promises were kept and follow ups conducted in a timely manner. Carrier Construction, Inc. proved to be a quality contractor delivering an excellent product. As a 45 year veteran architect, I should be expected to know one or two things about construction and dealing with contractors. The Carrier family is a cohesive group with professional integrity as a rule of thumb. Ryan Carrier, representing the new generation of the family, is a stand-up guy who clearly continues the Carrier family’s tradition of doing the right thing.
Thank you for a job well done!
Sheila and Sam Gavish
Essex, CT
My wife Jenny and I recently moved into our new home built by the Carriers. From the initial meeting through the final walk through, the builder Gino Carrier and his son Ryan were always available and immediately responsive to all of our questions and concerns. Ryan works as the corporation’s Construction Manager. He ensured a timely and agreed-to closing. Our attorney could not believe that the “punch list” contained only several minor items as he was accustomed to closings with lists several pages long. This is a result of the diligence of the whole Carrier team.
Gino and Ryan made good suggestions and guided us to make the correct decisions regarding our desire for certain finishes, options and upgrades. Based on their extensive home building experience and sound advice, we markedly increased the value of our home for a very reasonable additional charge. We believe that we received excellent value for our money and are extremely satisfied with our decision to choose Carrier..
The standard build features, materials used and construction quality are vastly superior to other new construction that we viewed. The fit and finish are superb. A detailed, organized binder and file were provided to us explaining routine maintenance and containing appliance/system manuals with warranty information.
Carrier is the leader in energy efficient construction and we can already see how we will be saving on this expense for years to come.
After 30 years of owning and renting several homes, including new construction, we finally have a home without drafts.
Ryan continues to be available for questions and to resolve minor concerns. He actually stopped by this past Saturday to program and explain the functions of our state-of-the-art thermostats. We do not believe there are many builders who make themselves available to the homeowner after the closing.
Check out their 5-year warranty also. Avoid the stress and headaches associated with your homebuilding experience by just calling Carrier. You will not be disappointed.

Gino, Eric and Ryan Carrier,
We wanted to thank you again for taking our existing 2 car garage and creating a well equipped in-law apartment and new 3 car garage addition. We get many rave reviews when friends and family see what you orchestrated. Having seen the quality new homes your family builds, we trusted that your family would take the same pride with our project. My wife and I were trying to visualize this space reinvention with little success. Gino came up with an amazing plan that allowed each crew you brought to our site to do the best possible work. Ryan kept the process moving forward, organized and suggested changes that made sense. Eric and his excavation team created awesome complimenting hardscapes which actually steal the attention of our guests. The results say it all.
We are so glad that we visited www.bycarrier.com and requested a consultation.
All the best,
Mike and Karen Wisz
Plainville, CT
Dear Rejean,
Heather and I would like to thank you. Our home is beautiful and we cannot say enough about the entire building process. I have to say that when we began the project I had my trepidations. My experience has always been that no one will look out for my interest quite like myself. For that reason, I came by the house almost every day to see the progress. Very quickly you, and your extremely dedicated and loyal crew, put my worries to rest. It was reassuring for me to see just how much time you spent on the job personally overseeing the build. I observed a business that from top to bottom saw quality as essential to longevity in home building. You, your family, and your team must be so proud of what you’ve created.
Thank You,
Blake & Heather Bevier
Dear Rejean:
I just wanted to thank you again for turning our sad-looking basement into a beautiful enhancement to our new home. Having seen the extraordinary homes you build, we are so grateful for your help on our little project.
Neither Rita and I had ever undertaken anything like this. Every craftsman you brought to us was a perfectionist. Robert kept the process moving steadily forward; everything was meticulously organized. And the results speak for themselves.
With deep appreciation and best regards to you and Gayle,
Alan & Rita Maislen
Dear Carrier Family,
The Staff of Carrier Enterprises has been very impressive with pleasant attitudes, demeanors, and knowledge. This was our first time building a house 1500 miles away, and the entire experience, from beginning with the down payment, to the finish, has been a pleasant one. We appreciated the periodic updates during the process. The weekly phone calls with Jay, and emails from Jay, Tina and Alexis, helped to keep our stress levels at an even keel. They were flexible and quick to respond to our questions and needs and made sure all details were covered before our move in date. Thank you for keeping us well-informed through the entire process. We know that even though you are consistently busy, you took the time to take care of us. They are knowledgeable in their field and really understand all aspects of new construction, which allowed us to put all our trust into them. The outcome was fabulous and we love our new home! Keep up the excellent work!
Thank you,
Ron and Pam Bottino

We love the house so much we hate leaving it every day to go to work! Donna and I feel that you guys have truly created a masterpiece and it is a privilege to be a part of it. Please know that you are all welcome in our home, so please stop by and visit whenever you’re at Autumn Estates. You have played a major role in helping Donna and I realize our dream. Thank you for all you have done and we look forward to a long lasting relationship as members of the Carrier Family.

We were just tired of maintaining our 2.16 acres and a big house. We have much better things to do with our time. What really attracted me was the space here, 76 acres of gorgeous land. I am a real estate professional, but I never had a sense of space like I did when I came here.
We had lived in our present home for 32 years, we needed to find a new place that was going to help us lead an easier lifestyle. At Castle Heights, we have found quality and integrity in a builder. Their product is sterling, and whenever we have an issue they address it.
We literally went to 25 or 30 different places. Castle Heights was flexible to customize, such as our 4 seasons porch. My house is very solidly built, my friends who are in construction have come over and complimented the house. We have a lot of room and we are at most 20 minutes away from everything. We have adapted quickly to our new home and don’t even think about our old house.
It’s setback, we have a big yard with plenty of room. The house makes life so easy, with conveniently located closets and baths. I don’t feel like I am losing heat, it’s certainly energy efficient. The lawns are taking care, I don’t worry about snow. This is truly easy living.
To Whom It May Concern:
It is with pleasure that we write this letter of testimonial on behalf of By Carrier, Unique Builders. We had the privilege of working with Sylvain, Noel, Annie and Cindy of Unique Builders when we chose to purchase a home in Samuel’s Crossing when General Electric transferred us to Connecticut in the fall of 2007. We looked at several builders in new home construction before making our decision to build at Samuel’s Crossing and in our opinion; none of the other builders we visited offered the excellent quality of workmanship and service of product as Unique Builders.
It is a fair statement to say that we were more than a little nervous about building a new home while moving from Louisville, Kentucky.
The building of our home could not have gone any smoother. The Carriers took care of every detail for us.
Everything we asked for was done and ready when we arrived from Kentucky. The quality and workmanship is excellent in our home. One of the aspects of our build that impresses us the most is the care and pride that Unique Builders took in the construction of our home. They did not build just another house; they built our home as though they would be living in it with their own family. There was no detail to small for them; from our high ceilings to our beautiful wood floors, everything reflects the highest quality workmanship.
Building with Unique Builders, a dedicated family company, was a wonderful and positive experience and continues to be; when small issues arise, they are fast to respond and resolve them. Unique Builders is a quality builder and a pleasure to work with and we are happy to recommend them most enthusiastically! We are very happy to be part of the Samuel’s Crossing community and to own a beautifully and excellently built home by Unique Builders.
We thank you Unique Builders for our beautiful home and your continued service.
Best Regards,
Mr. and Mrs. David Hurd

Dear Annie:Chuck and I want to thank you and your entire staff for building our home. Prior to this house we had two homes built and this one was by far the best experience! We enjoyed working with you. With your guidance and suggestions we have a home that is attractive, functional, practical and charming. we never felt pushed into doing more than what we wanted.
Our home is so beautiful and so comfortable to live in. I really love my kitchen!
From the moment we drove through Samuel’s Crossing and noticed the quality of the homes that were built we knew we had made the right decision to build here.
We are proud to tell people our home was built by Carrier. We look forward to many years enjoying our home, the surroundings and neighbors at Samuel’s Crossing.
Sincerely,
Chuck and Cheryl Poppel

To Whom It May Concern:From the first visit to Castle Heights, we knew we wanted to live here. After meeting with George and Jake, we felt that these were people willing to meet our needs. What impressed us was the fact that each house was going to be different and unique, customized to each buyer’s specific desires.
Cynthia & Ron Naiman
Dear George,I could not wait another minute to express our complete satisfaction with the outcome of our new home at Castle Heights. We enjoyed working with you and using your ideas in the building process. Having built our previous home before moving to Castle Heights I was very concerned about the excellence needed to satisfy my standards for my final home and you met every expectation with ease.
Ron and Janet Aliciene
JFC Endeavors:We recently had a new deck added on to our new home at Castle Heights and I just wanted to take a moment to say what a wonderful experience it was. The workmanship was meticulous with attention to details making it seem as though the deck was always a part of our house.

To Whom It May Concern:It has been a pleasure to work with George Santos and the Carrier Builders this summer. Our home is comfortable, well built and beautifully designed both outside and inside. Mr. Carrier and his Associates have worked diligently and comfortably with us to help us enjoy our home and be assured that it is of the best quality.”
Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Conn
George,In my view, the new house is the best you’ve built with regards to both style and craftsmanship! Thanks for your continued help and please forward this to Jake and Francine. Kathy and I are truly grateful to be working with all of you.
Doug and Kathleen Rockwell
I found Carrier to be a builder who takes pride in their work, operates with the extremely highest standards of quality and is still concerned and helpful long after the sale. Their homes incorporate the latest advances in green/ energy efficient technologies…my heating bills are far lower than anticipated and my paint is even “green guard” certified. I am extremely happy with the neighborhood and community.Lauren- Canton, CT
Our new home is everything we wanted and expected. We have had numerous compliments in the house, everyone who comes in comments on the various details (high ceilings, woodwork, beautiful windows, etc.). The workmanship is exceptional and it is obvious as you work with Carrier that everyone takes pride in their work.Mike & Carol- Manchester, CT
I want to take the time to extend our appreciation to the wonderful job you did in the construction our dream home. We know our home would have never turned out so well without all your efforts.Chantale & Stephen Canton, CT
Actor Ryan Reynolds Just Bought a Wireless Carrier. And His Reason for the Buy Makes Sense
It’s not often that A-list celebrities acquire wireless carriers. But it just happened.
In a statement on Monday, Mint Mobile, a budget-friendly wireless carrier that sells everything from iPhones to Android phones, said that actor, writer, and producer Ryan Reynolds has acquired a stake in the company. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it’s a big move for a carrier trying to make a name for itself in the highly competitive wireless market.
In a statement, Reynolds, who is best known for starring in a variety of popular films, including Deadpool, Van Wilder, and others, shared some insight into why he bought into Mint Mobile. He acknowledged that the move is “a bit unconventional,” but added that he believes American consumers are looking for cheaper wireless mobile plans. And Mint Mobile can deliver on that.
“I’m excited to champion a more practical approach to the most essential technology,” Reynolds said.
At first glance, it might seem like a bad move to invest in a small wireless carrier. But in truth, it makes some sense.
Mint Mobile was founded in 2016 and has built its network atop T-Mobile’s network. So, wherever T-Mobile service is available, Mint Mobile is too.
In just the past few years, Mint Mobile has attracted a growing customer base by offering the latest phones, including new iPhones and Android devices with access to its network at prices larger carriers can’t beat. Indeed, a three-month plan at Mint Mobile costs just $15 per month, with 3GB of data and 4G LTE service. The company is offering a deal on its 8GB and 12GB plans, which typically cost $20 and $25 per month, respectively. For now, you can get them for the same $15 a month fee.
When users sign up, they can choose to buy a phone or bring their own to the network. To do the latter, they’d need only an unlocked phone capable of connecting to a GSM network. That’s the vast majority of phones available today.
Mint Mobile is one of many small carriers, called MVNOs, that live atop wireless networks deployed by the big four — Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint. What they lack in infrastructure, they make up for in cheaper plans, generally reliable customer service, and surprisingly high customer satisfaction. A study from J.D. Power earlier this year found that most MVNO carriers easily outpaced the big four in customer satisfaction.
So, at a time when people are actively seeking new and appealing wireless carrier experiences, Reynolds is jumping in with a company offering just that. And he’s doing it at a time when the industry is growing.
As he noted himself, Reynolds’s decision isn’t a typical one for a celebrity to make. But over time, it might prove to be a very smart move.

Trixie Friends on Tour Ryan Pet Carrier
05/10/18
This worked fantastic when my two cats were kittens, and two kittens fit in it easily. Now that they are full grown and determined, they can easily pop up the end that is only secured with velcro and on the last car ride home from the vet managed to burst through the zip!
22/03/18
This bag is pretty flimsy, Fine for a really tiny dog but it broke when I used for my 9kg dog (who was within the recommended weight limit) waste of money.
07/11/17
|Riitta
Upper zipper in not safe. Our cat pushed him self out from top where is that sticker end of zipper. Good luck we were already home.
28/12/16
|Cathie
This is very good for transporting either of my docile cats, but I would not risk the feisty Maine coon or a stray in it as it would be easy to force the top bit where Velcro is the only fastening. However with a small vet fleece in it they all love it as a cosy bed, sometimes I find 2 crammed inside so I am buying another!
03/11/15
Big, clean, airy, inescapable and easy to store, I wouldn’t swap it for anything else regardless of price.
15/06/14
|Sonya Scott
After using cardboard boxes for transporting chickens for ages, I opted for one of these pet carriers. It’s brilliant. You can fit 2 chickens in comfortably and because it’s mesh the airflow is excellent. It’s very light and easy to carry, and folds flat for storage
11/05/13
|Emma
Great travel bag. Easy to carry. Easy to store too. Sadly our two ragdoll are getting a bit too big to go in together so may order another.
08/01/13
|Andrea Martin-Wright
We have had this travel bag for 3 years now and we use it daily for our mini Dachshund who loves it, we have his cushion, blanket and some snacks in here and it is his safe place as well as his oh we are off on an adventure in the car space – there are times he just goes and lies in the bag waiting for us to get ready to go out as if to say hurry up! The bag sits on the passenger seat of the car and he can either look out the car window or go for a snooze, it means he can also sit on the passenger’s knee in his bag. It is also good if we are out in town, he is carried in his bag and has a great time. Also handy for doggy friendly restaurants as he is happy in his bag under the table. The bag has endured a lot of use in the last 3 years, still in acceptable condition. Great value for money.

I have a bad back and cannot carry my cat in a conventional plastic carrier anymore. This carrier can be held closer to one’s side with a shoulder strap and feels like a sports bag. Much easier — I can even take my cat on the bus with no trouble.
25/10/11
I like this product the cat was safe and it wasn’t as heavy as the plastic carrier i have. I would definetly recommend this product.
13/01/11
|Caroline
I have 2 of these already and they look like new still. My sister has just stolen one of them for her new small dog so I am ordering a replacement (for my 2nd cat). They have a handy pocket for keeping vaccination records etc, and open from the top and the front. My 2 cats are about 4kg each and there is still plenty of room. And even better you can fold them completely flat for storage.
17/10/10
|Sharon
I purchased this carrier to transport my Maltese Terrier puppy home when we purchased him (78 mile trip), he loves it and as a consequence loves going out and about in the car. Excellent value for money am now going to purchase another two to store away in case it’s no longer in production should I need to replace later.

|Miranda
This carrier has been my little dog’s home from home since she was a puppy. She still uses it today at 2 1/2 years old, and even sleeps in it at night. I’ve lined the bottom with a Vetbed, and she’s comfy and cozy! Highly recommended and an excellent price.

|julie
Just transported my 10 week old kitten to her forever home and was so surprised that she quite happily got in and lay down. she was no problem at all and as it has 3 sides that she could look out of, transporting her was not a problem. if you had a small dog to transport it has a built in lead so dog cannot escape. fab fab fab.
08/05/10
|Rhea.
I bought this for my cat after trowling through sites trying to find a canvas carrier.
Could not believe the price!!!!! over half less than other sites.
My cat loves it and has now made it her sleep bed
once again well done zoo plus.
And may I add very well made does not appear to be shoddy rubbish.
31/03/10
|Andrea Martin
I bought this bag for my miniature dachshund and it has been an excellent buy. When we are on the go it is used as a great dog carrier either over my arm or over my shoulder and when we are in the car I strap the bag in to the front seat with the top flap open and he curls up on his blanket in the bag and I know he isn’t going to fall off the seat if I have to stop suddenly. I have used it as a bed if we go visiting as he can sit/sleep in it with the top flap open but still be contained and feel safe, pocket at the end for treats etc.
29/03/10
|Wendy
I used this bag to take my two little cats on the tube, with two changes to the vets where my sister works. They were comfortable and safe and it was much easier to carry than a hardcase. The two of them are pretty snug in there so it is better for one if your cats are on the large side!
09/11/09
Great bag, great value.
09/12/08
|Emma
I bought one of these whilst they were on offer and have come back to buy two more! They are fantastic value. Everything you would want for a cat carrier, they are quite roomy too, I’m sure two of my small girl cats would curl up together in the one carrier.
19/09/08

I bought two for my two cats who do not get on. The carriers are perfect for visiting the vets. Very light, comfortable to carry and a place to keep their medical cards. They were much admired in the waiting room. Far superior to the metal cage I had before and they fold down small to keep in a cupboard

Ryan Carrier. Ambassadorial Scholar | Rotary Club of Richmond Sunset
Ryan Carrier at The International Criminal Court in Hague
Rotary experiences twice helped Ryan Carrier discover new cultures and enrich his education in a journey that led him to become a war crimes prosecutor for the United Nations.
Since 2008, Carrier, 38, has worked as a legal officer for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague. This ad hoc UN tribunal deals with crimes against humanity and war crimes that happened in that region after 1991.
Carrier is currently prosecuting three Croatian army generals for crimes alleged to have been committed during Operation Storm in August 1995. Then, more than 100,000 ethnic Serbs were driven out of Croatia in what Carrier describes as the largest case of ethnic cleansing during the Balkan wars.
“Ethnic cleansing is not limited to entering a town and killing everyone; it also encompasses illegal acts whereby someone attempts to reconfigure the demographics of a certain area, driving out certain ethnicities in order to ‘cleanse’ the area,” says Carrier, originally from White Rock, British Columbia, Canada.
“War crimes often affect hundreds of thousands of people. [The crimes] are incredibly serious and very upsetting, but you have to be able to distance yourself a little bit. At the end of the day, you have to do what is right.”
Carrier’s first Rotary experience was in 1989, when the Rotary Club of White Rock selected him as a Rotary Youth Exchange student. He lived for a year in Vetlanda, Sweden, where he attended high school, became fluent in Swedish, and grew close to his host family, a bond that continues to this day.
In 1996, Carrier studied criminology at the University of Cape Town in South Africa as a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar, sponsored by the Rotary Club of White Rock-Peace Arch. He had the opportunity to witness a society that was changing quickly, after decades of apartheid.
“I was working with a lot of former African National Congress members in black townships and advising on policing issues with my professor, so I kind of lived between these two divergent worlds coexisting in South Africa at the time,” Carrier says. “It taught me how important it is to adapt and try to appreciate peoples’ perspectives before pushing your own agenda or viewpoint.”
Deciding that a legal career would be the best way for him to make an impact on the world, Carrier went on to earn a law degree at Cambridge University. He worked as a prosecutor, handling criminal cases emanating from one of Toronto’s most crime-ridden neighborhoods before landing the job at the UN. His Rotary experiences significantly shaped his career and outlook on life, he says.
“You can go on a trip somewhere, but that’s not the same thing as living in a place and getting to know the people, seeing their perspectives, and gaining their trust and really being welcomed in a deeper way,” Carrier explains. “It gave me a lot more confidence to do something bigger with my life. If I hadn’t had both of those helping hands along the way from Rotary – the exchange program and the Ambassadorial Scholarship – I wouldn’t have had the opportunities that I have now.”

Kerry Ryan
FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH
Dedicated to G.P.
For giving me the world.
As a child, my mother often told me about the ocean: a huge expanse of water right up to the horizon, which is constantly moving, throwing waves on the shore again and again. One day she showed me a faded and shabby photograph of my great-great-great-grandmother, still very young, standing in the ocean. The photograph burned down long ago in a fire, but I remember it well.I remember a tiny girl surrounded by vast nothingness.
In my mother’s stories, which were passed down from generation to generation by the women of our family, the ocean sang like the wind in the trees, and people rode on the waves. Once, during another drought, I asked my mother: if there is so much water somewhere, why do our streams sometimes dry up? She replied that the ocean water should not be drunk: it is too salty.
It was then that I stopped asking her about the ocean. How much salt can there be in the world? And how could the Lord allow so much water to be wasted?
However, sometimes I stand on the edge of the Forest of Hands and Teeth, look into the endless thicket and imagine that all this is solid water, to the very horizon.I close my eyes, listen to the singing of the wind in the trees and imagine a world in which only waves would close over my head.
A world without the Wicked, a world without a Forest of Hands and Teeth.
Mother often stands nearby: covering her eyes from the sun, she looks out for our father behind the fence.
She is the only one who believes that her husband has not Returned and will one day come home the same person. I myself have long lost this faith and am trying to live on, hiding my pain as deeply as possible. Sometimes I am scared to approach the edge of the Forest.I am afraid to see my father among the rest of the Wicked: moaning piteously, in rags, with sagging skin and fingers torn in blood from endless attempts to break the iron barriers.
Until now, no one has seen him, and that gives my mom a reason to hope. At night, she prays to God to find some kind of settlement like ours in the thicket of the Forest. But everyone else has long since lost hope. The sisters say that our village is the only one in the world.
My brother Jed began to take on more sentinel shifts: Guardians go around the fences around the clock.Like me, Jed had long understood that Father was now also Unholy. He hopes to spot him first and kill him so that mom never sees what her husband has become.
The villagers go mad to see their loved ones among the Wicked. One woman’s son accidentally became infected during a patrol: from grief and horror, she set herself on fire and burned half of the village. In that fire, all our heirlooms burned down (I was still a child), and now nothing reminds us of life before Return. However, by that time, many things themselves turned into dust and evoked only ghostly, barely perceptible memories.
Jed and I are keeping an eye on Mom and won’t let her go to the fence alone. Previously, Jed’s wife, Beth, helped us, but then she became pregnant, and the Sisters forbade her to get out of bed so as not to lose her first child. My brother and I were left alone.
One day, on the bank of the stream, where I go to wash my clothes, Brother Beth comes up to me. As far back as I can remember, Harold and I have always been friends – I have almost no other peers in the village. He hands me a bouquet of wildflowers, and he begins to twist and wring out my sheets.
– How is mom? – asks. Something that, but politeness he does not hold.
I lower my head and wash my hands in the stream. Actually, it’s time for me to go home, I’ve already spent too much time on myself. Mom is probably already pacing up and down the yard, waiting for my return. Jed had gone on a long shift; From time to time, the Guardians go around the entire fence around the perimeter and strengthen the weak spots, and mom used to look out for dad in the forest during the day. Just in case, I have to be there to comfort her and keep her out of the fence.
“Still hoping,” I say.
Harry clicks his tongue sympathetically. We both know there is no hope.
He finds my hands under the water and covers them with his palms. I knew that sooner or later it would happen. Harry has long looked at me differently, his gaze has changed, and some tension has crept into our friendship. We are not children anymore, and for a long time.
– Mary, I … – He pauses for a moment. “I wanted to invite you to Harvest Festival next weekend.
I look at our hands underwater. His fingers tingle from the cold, and Harry’s hands feel so warm and soft … I ponder his proposal for a minute. At the autumn Harvest Festival, young people and girls of marriageable age declare their love to each other. This is the beginning of courtship, and over the winter they must decide whether they want to start a family with their chosen one or chosen one. Almost always courtship ends in the spring with three Bracovening ceremonies: they are arranged during Paradise Week, when young people are married and babies are baptized in the village.Couples rarely part, because our marriage is not built on love, but on duty.
Every year I am surprised to see new unions. After my former friends find a mate for themselves, get to know each other better, prepare for the next step. In the fall, they confess their love to each other and begin courtship. I have always believed that it will be so with me. After a terrible illness, from which almost all children of my age died, it is very important for us, who miraculously survived, to find a mate and start a family. It is so important that there is no one to join the Sisters’ Union.
I hoped that I would find not just a couple, but true love like my parents have.
However, although there are almost no free girls left in the last two years, no one has yet tried to court me.
For the past few weeks, all my thoughts have been about the missing father behind the fence. About a mother crushed by grief and hopelessness. About your own grief. Until now, it somehow didn’t occur to me that all the other girls had already been invited to the Harvest Festival. And now either I will be invited, or I will remain useless to anyone.
At times I can’t get out of my head the thought of Harry’s younger brother, Travis. It was his attention that I tried to attract all summer, it was this friendship that I wanted to turn into something more. But he never reciprocated my awkward hints.
As if reading my mind, Harry says:
– Travis invited Cassandra.
I can’t help myself; anger and despair overwhelm me. My best friend did what I was not capable of.She got his attention, but I didn’t.
I have nothing to answer. I remember how beautifully the sunbeams played on Travis’ face when he smiled, and I look into Harry’s eyes, trying to see the same game. After all, they are brothers, and besides, the weather. However, apart from the warmth of his soft palms, I feel nothing.

How Ryan Reynolds made us empathize with the code in The Main Character
Every morning a Guy (Ryan Reynolds) wakes up in his modest apartment, greets Goldie the goldfish, puts on a blue shirt and pants, and goes to work at the bank. All day long he puts a stamp on the checks with a smile on his face, and if, as usual, robbers break in here, then the Guy will not be discouraged – you need to quietly lie on the floor and put your hands behind your head. So the days of the clerk fly by and only one thing excites his heart – the guy is lonely and dreams of meeting his beloved woman. Once on the street he runs into Millie (Jody Comer) and decides to talk to her, but she disappears without a trace. The desire to see her makes the Guy break the usual route of life, and suddenly he begins to understand that the world around him is a popular video game in which human players can create anything. And he himself is only an NPC – an artificial intelligence created to serve the players.
Video games have long penetrated into everyday life and are actively fighting for our free time. The interactive entertainment industry has grown tremendously in recent years, and individual projects are often ahead of cinema in terms of profit. However, there are practically no films that adequately comprehend the phenomenon of modern games, and there is nothing to say about their film adaptations. There was little hope that the director of Nights at the Museum, Sean Levy, would stage a picture that could change the situation. And under the artistic direction of Disney Studios. It is all the more surprising that behind the shell of the romantic action-comedy “The Main Hero” hides a very deep and interesting content.
“The main character”
At first it may seem that “The Main Character” is a remake of the cult “The Truman Show” with Jim Carrey. The guy played by Ryan Reynolds does not want to believe until the last that he is just a playable character and everything around is not real, and only love literally opens his eyes. The video game Free City, in which he lives, is a conditional analogue of GTA.There is also a big city here, which is a kind of sandbox for players, whose task is to complete tasks and subtly nasty each other. A wide variety of weapons, cars, aircraft and, of course, tanks are used. Players are distinguished from NPCs by dark glasses, through which they receive missions and collect items to level up their level. Having tried on such, the Guy learns that everything around is not what it seems – film fans will immediately recognize a reference to “Aliens Among Us” by John Carpenter.
However, Guy is not Truman at all, his drama is actually even deeper.Jim Carrey’s hero at least had no doubt that he existed. The guy is just written code, and it is very difficult for him to come to terms with this knowledge. At the heart of the “protagonist” is the eternal philosophical question of what makes each of us think that we are alive? Interestingly, director Sean Levy shows not only computer characters living according to a single pattern, but also people who are afraid to get off the beaten track. These are the programmers Keys (star of “Stranger Things” Joe Keery) and Millie (Jodie Comer from “Killing Eve”), who once invented Free City, but did not have time to implement it – their idea was stolen by the hype-hungry businessman Antoine (hilarious role Taiki Waititi).Only true feelings and love for one’s neighbor allow one to get out of automatism and find oneself.
“The main character”
The “protagonist” does not change his entertainment role. Colorful virtual reality with its funny characters and crazy rules will be equally interesting for those who are not well immersed in the video game industry, and those who spend whole days online. Ryan Reynolds is terribly charming in the form of a modest and very kind Guy (the exact opposite of the bully Deadpool) and does an excellent job with comedy, action scenes and melodrama. In his character, you can see another interesting idea of the “protagonist”. It is generally accepted that video games generate violence, and indeed, in Free City, players are only interested in murder and aggression. The guy is “pumped” by doing only good deeds, and in the end teaches that being good is cooler than bad. Artificial intelligence, tuned in to love, reveals the desire for good in real people, and this theme in “The Main Character” is shown very interestingly, provokes reflections on humanism. Is it possible and necessary to empathize with computer characters, or is it just a digital code that means nothing?
A variety of themes and genres, coupled with great Disney entertainment and Reynolds’ charm, make “The Main Character” one of the most original and witty projects of this year. The film, of course, is inferior in entertainment to Ready Player One, but it shows the very phenomenon of video games much more interestingly, makes you look at interactive entertainment in a different way. And perhaps, having sat down after work for some shooter, you no longer want to cold-bloodedly kill an innocent NPC who disinterestedly offers you a cup of coffee and wants “not a good, but just a wonderful day.”

CHAPTER ONE
I haven’t had this dream for a while. The fact that I immediately realized that it was a dream suggested that I would not like what it would lead to.Of course, given what I now knew, not a single dream from my past was good. Although they gave me important clues, what something meant, I still didn’t like it.
As well as their hidden meaning.
This time I stood in the center of a five-pointed star. Before I knew that everything I dreamed was true, I always thought that where I stood there were four ends, four elements, four directions.
But I was wrong … even when I was right.
I didn’t know there was a fifth ending.
But I didn’t know much then.
And I still felt like I didn’t know a lot.
I stood at a crossroads, my hair was fluttering in the wind, the screams of thousands of voices sounded in my head. I knew they were mine. My screams mingled with the screams of my friends, those I loved and did not know.
These were memories. My dreams weren’t really dreams.
But every time the visions came, I didn’t know if it would be my memories or a future that would never come.I didn’t know if it was the memories of those who sent me these nightmares, or if it was an attempt to scare me so that I would return.
I didn’t want to go back.
Maybe she did.
What I was still deciding when told me I was not ready. But I pushed those thoughts out of my head and tried to focus on what the dream was trying to tell me – if it tried to do it at all.
The element that I feared the most was in front of me. Spirit. And I didn’t know anyone who possessed her.Who would control her as other elemental masters controlled magic. Every time I looked at this element, fear crawled down my back, shoulders, dug into my stomach. Because I did not know what the magicians of the Spirit could do other than appear in my dreams. But they certainly could have done more.
This is how it should be.
Otherwise, others would not have tried to kill the Spirit mages for their strength.
In the far upper corner of the star was Fire. Below is the Earth. On the left is Air, and above it is Water.
All elements. Everyone was moving towards me … and no.
The air pushed my blonde hair from my face and I raised my head, the heat of the Fire warming my pale skin. I got a little tanned outside my dreams during the year outside, but in the visions the sun seemed to disappear from my skin. Like I was the pale shadow of who I once was.
As with the elements and everything, there were different magicians who used their powers either to help, or to harm, depended on the individual. There were those who used their elements to protect others or harm even more. They used the powers to their advantage, and they had hundreds of years to hone those skills.
I was born as a human being. And it remained to them … I guess. Even in dreams. Here I did not possess the elements, which they caused in me, opened with terrifying agony. These torments were so terrible that I will never forget them.
In my dreams I was the girl I was before. And I was powerless.
I received strength, but in my dreams I was reminded of what I was, what I could become if I retreated without knowing what would happen.
I left the mason world because I was afraid. Because I was overpowered. And I lost my best friend, and a lot more happened. I died with a sword in my stomach and blood on my hands.
And the magicians of the Spirit, who remained hidden for centuries from other magicians, saved me.
The guy I loved – thought I could love, at least – whom I considered my soul mate, could not save me. There was no true connection between us. According to legend, a soul mate can heal a mortal wound. And he could not heal me.
Now Rhodes was gone, he was in his own world. And I was hiding in the human world. He was protecting his people … and I needed to find a way to be healed.
But now I was having a dream, I reminded myself. Just a dream.
The water from its corner of the star brushed my feet, cold as ice. She was not like when I was a kid on the beach, when I was playing in the sand, and the waves hit me. I swam well, but my mother always warned me about strong currents. They could take you into the abyss and drown, carry away from everything that you knew, and no one would even hear a cry.
While I was thinking like that, the waves got stronger, hitting my knees until I was weak, trembling. The sand scratched my skin, but I didn’t fall. Not now.
It was just a dream.
And I wasn’t that girl anymore.
The Earth was humming under my feet, and I knew that the Earth was angry. I reminded myself that anything could be expected from that land. While the king of the territories of Fire and Earth was the one who saved me, the Lord of the Earth was not so pleasant.
I was in debt to their lord, and I was afraid that I would not be able to repay him.
The man who ruled the territory did not kill me, and I was indebted to him. It’s funny that the fact that I could breathe could be someone’s favor. And that you could be in debt for leaving, saving your life.
The ground cracked weakly beneath me, jagged lines kicked dust into the air, but I did not flinch. But she stopped thinking about debt.
Because, unlike Water, I could control this element. I felt the Earth, and she pulled for something in me, a part so deep that it spreads warmth in my fingers. And although I did not possess this element in a dream, I knew that when I wake up, I can do it.
And then Fire came, and I suppressed a grimace. The fire was hot.
I did not possess this element, although his sister Earth called to me. Earth and Fire were friends, intersected not only in magic and origin, but also in a kingdom that was falling apart with the advent of a new king. The new ruler received an already crumbling kingdom.
I didn’t know if my strength was enough to save him.
I gave up Fire and everything that it represented, I ignored temptation. He called me from childhood, he still called me.
It was not the water that attracted me with the siren song, but the blazing Fire.
And then I remembered that Water could extinguish a flame, although Fire could dance over the waves.
All this could soon be revealed in me. And I didn’t know if I could handle it.
I turned in a star to the first element that opened up in me. Air. I unlocked it to save the guy I thought I loved and myself.I could still feel the wind dancing between my fingers, tangling my hair. It was the warmest element, even warmer than Fire, as for me. Fire raged and burned, and Air embraced and caressed.
But he could have killed.
I knew that.
And I possessed this element.
This I have not realized yet.
Even a year later.
“You are trying to understand why you are here,” said a voice behind me. I turned in the direction I was looking at initially, to the element of Spirit.
That element meant nothing to me.I only knew that it was emptiness. That was the only way I knew the Spirit. I had no idea what he could do. Didn’t really meet those who controlled it.
The rest of the elements were physical, the Spirit dwelt inside.
How the wardrobe of the protagonist of the rom-coms of the 80s and 90s is arranged
This and many other quotes became not just classics, but a real commandment from the Romkom Bible of the 80-90s, a cure for all mental illnesses and blues, like a plaster that can be used to seal sadness and patch up a mournful evening.Meg Ryan was dubbed the main American sweetheart, their creative union and spiritual union with Nora Efron gave rise to three cult rom-com not about teenagers, but about those who are about thirty – the time “when it is easier to meet a terrorist than to get married” (okay , in fairness, the phrase was said about those over forty). The heroine Meg Ryan in Efron’s films changed slightly, but was always associated with the pages and letters in the letter: a journalist or the owner of a children’s literature bookstore, who would later become a writer. This girl in three different guises has always been educated, well-read, a little melancholic and charmingly naive. Of course, closer to the credits, she is entitled to a happy ending, suggesting the presence of her beloved man nearby, in two cases out of three – Tom Hanks.
Meg Ryan as Sally in When Harry Met Sally
Meg Ryan as Sally in When Harry Met Sally
Today you can get excited about criticism, disassemble sexist overtones (he ruined her store, destroyed her life’s work, but she still fell in love!) And destroy the former paradigm of happiness. But still, Meg’s heroines were far from the glossy ideal, neither Nora Efron nor Rob Reiner sought to openly exploit her sexuality, and reduce her character to a stereotype. In all three films – “You’ve Got Mail”, “When Harry Met Sally” and “Sleepless in Seattle” – the timing is almost equally divided between the main characters: this is a game for two teams, and not exclusively a “woman’s romance”. Perhaps Nora Efron shot and wrote the movie that Woody Allen could have made if he were an optimist: continuous dialogues, walks around New York and the modest, barely perceptible charm of everyday life. One can argue and debate about the emotional benefits of a sweet romcom pill or ideological harm, but this is a thankless task, and something is not questioned: in 2020 it is impossible not to admire and not be inspired by the outfits of Meg Ryan’s heroines.
The heroine Meg Sally had to go twelve years on the screen: from 20 to 32, from the summer of 1977 to New Year’s Eve 1989 – the actress was 28 years old at that moment.
Sally Albright is clever and touchy, when Harry asks her about her innermost sexual fantasy, she admits that in her imagination only the clothes she is wearing change, and the image of a man remains faceless.Considering the pedantry with which Sally approaches the order of a sandwich or salad (this character trait inherited the heroine from Nora Efron), it is not surprising that she treats her wardrobe with appropriate attention.
The film’s costume designer was Gloria Gresham, who will receive an Oscar nomination two years later for her work on Avalon. The 80s is a real clothing fair and a crazy explosion in any of the wardrobes, this fashion boom, like nostalgia for the era, has been exploited by filmmakers for the past 10 years: sequins, colorful leggings, huge denim jackets and bright prints. However, you will not find anything like this on Sally’s hanger – solid classics and basic things that will always be relevant and suitable for any occasion.

Tip number 1. If the cage goes out of fashion, it is only to return
To show 1979, Gloria chooses a plaid jacket, neat styling and discreet manicure – Sally is no longer a graduate student, but a young journalist, the severity and efficiency of her image illustrate a new stage in her life.Today, the cage is gaining momentum again, and Vogue (there is no other prophet in his own country) insists that a tie is indispensable, for this case Sally has a bow-tie.

Tip number 2. Wardrobe based on basic things
Unlike the heroines of the TV series “Sex and the City”, who never wore the same outfit twice (the only exception, it seems, is the tutu dress from the splash screen), Sally composes her wardrobe much more pragmatically. In the first case, Miss Albright wears a red sweater with a throat with a corduroy jacket, jeans and a leather belt. After Harry casually says that skirts suit her, Sally wears the same sweater with Bermuda shorts, complementing the look with black tights with a geometric pattern. By the way, you can pay attention to the fact that Gloria Gresham rhymes the outfits of the main characters more and more as they get closer, be it braids on sweaters or jackets.
Another detail that has leaked into the 2020 wardrobe is the eyewear rope: what was once considered a librarian-only attribute is now worn by every other girl who has glasses, simply because it’s pretty comfortable. (a fact from personal experience), and a black rope can always be replaced with a prettier chain.

Tip number 3. The right felt hat will suit any occasion
To some extent, Sally inherited the iconic autumn outfit from another fashionista – Diane Keaton, who over and over again in the films of another singer of autumn (spring, summer and winter) in New York, Woody Allen, confirmed her status as a standard of style (not without the help of costume designer Ruth Morley). These were the 70s, Annie Hall wore jackets, felt hats and high trousers with a belt in the same way – after 10 years it all became classics. Which is also relevant for any reason: after a walk with Harry, Sally goes on a date without planning to change clothes before that.

Tip number 4. There should always be room in the wardrobe for special occasion outfits
In addition to the above, Sally had a lot of cozy sweaters, turtlenecks, jackets, shirts and jeans in her wardrobe, but she wants to say goodbye to the heroine on a festive note – the outfits from the wedding of her best friends and from the New Year (not the final one, but the previous one) show that Despite the sensible combination of basic things, there is always a place for dresses for a special occasion, and little black will always be appropriate, as well as a sparkling semi-dry.

“This is your problem: you do not want to love, you want to love, like in the movies.”
In the eyes of Nora Efron, who this time took the director’s chair, the heroine of Meg Ryan again became a journalist, unlike the previous film of the creative union, the place of work here plays not the last, although still a supporting role in the plot.Clever and excellent pupil Annie Reed is buttoned up, and this blue stocking trope is literally realized in the costumes of the heroines: shirts, jackets, cardigans – a real kingdom of buttons. Most outfits with collars and shoulders today look more old-fashioned than stainless classics, and at times it may even seem that the youthful Ryan seemed to be deliberately trying to add age to costume designer Judy L. Ruskin.
Nevertheless, the heroine is again hovering in the clouds, there is no other way to name the fact that she falls in love with a man because of his voice on the radio. To emphasize the dreaminess and wind in her head, Annie added a seemingly insignificant, but very revealing detail: in several scenes there are tea bags in her pockets, she even leaves the office with hanging labels.

Tip number 5. Attention to accessories, especially to handkerchiefs
Annie’s somewhat faded everyday outfits, shirts and dresses, coats, jackets, cardigans and raincoats stage by stage are complemented by strings of beads (usually pearls) and flowered chiffon scarves. The weightless scarf looks especially successful in the final scene of the meeting on the roof of the Empire State Building, as our mothers and grandmothers would say: “And how it fits the eyes!”

Tip number 6. Do not neglect home clothes
Perhaps this is the most relevant advice for our (almost past) 2020 year: try not to forget about the comfort and beauty of home clothes, without depriving yourself of aesthetics, just because “no one sees.”

It is very easy to succumb to the desire to sit all year in the same leaky and stretched sweatshirt, but looking at Annie Reed, you want to be able to look good at home (not for someone, but for yourself). Cotton, woolen socks, a nightgown embroidered with lace is a small holiday that is always with you. This habit and attention to home clothes was adopted by the next heroine of Meg Ryan, Kathleen Kelly. The nightgown was replaced by striped pajamas, but the desire to be neat and within four walls did not disappear anywhere.

Nora Efron proves once again that it is never too late to fall in love, and rom-coms have absolutely no age or expiration date: not only teenagers rush into the pool with their heads. The heroine of Meg Ryan Kathleen Kelly is the owner of a children’s bookstore, she lives with the “psycho from the Observer”, boring and charming journalist Frank Navaski, but secretly carries on correspondence with a stranger from the Network on the service “You’ve Got Mail” (of course, with Tom Hanks) …
For Kathleen Kelly, a basic classic or even conservative wardrobe was chosen, something like the style of a modern librarian: turtlenecks, shirts, sweaters, dresses and pencil skirts, oxford boots and neutral colors. The costume designer for the film was Albert Wolsky, with two Oscars for All That Jazz and Bugsy and a bunch of nominations in his luggage, and he also “dressed” and “Manhattan” by Woody Allen (Diane Keaton mentioned above ).
In an interview with Instyle magazine, Wolsky comments on Kelly’s clothes: “You should go back to those days.I tried to dress her not necessarily conservatively, but she is a bookstore owner, and I tried to make her more diligent … There is nothing fancy about her. As opposed to Parker Posey in the movie, who plays the fashionista. ” Just like Gloria Gresham in When Harry Met Sally, the artist tried to convey the style of New York in general through the costumes and also repeated the heroine’s clothes from time to time in different scenes.

Tip number 7.Don’t forget to take inspiration from your idols’ wardrobe
The black turtleneck and sleeveless pinafore dress is a direct quote from another bookstore saleswoman’s outfit, referring to the heroine Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face. Before the world of glamor and covers, Joe Stockton also “dressed like a diligent librarian”, the buttons from the dress disappeared, and Meg Ryan has it more precisely tailored to the figure, but this is a discount for the 40 years that have passed between films. We are only 22 years away from “You’ve got a letter”, so this combination can certainly complement a business wardrobe today.

Tip number 8. A wool sweater should always be at hand
The lion’s share of Kathleen Kelly’s wardrobe consists of sweaters: knitted in a pigtail, with a throat, without a throat, from angora or other wool, light, dark, long and short – options for all occasions of autumn-winter life. Meg Ryan reminds that with proper care, sweaters made from natural materials will last much longer than cheaper synthetic counterparts: they will not lose their shape and color after the first wash, and most importantly, they will really warm.Black, on the other hand, may well become a festive color that will perfectly harmonize with the Christmas mood and the play of lights on the tree.

Bonus. We Can’t Live Without Retro
Nora Efron did not participate in the creation of “Anastasia”, but it is absolutely impossible to pass by. In the animated film of Don Blute and Gary Goldman, Meg Ryan voiced Princess Anastasia, who was lost during the revolution. You should not approach with a serious analysis to the interpretation of the history of the fatherland in animation, it is better to just succumb to a magical fantasy on the topic of finding a home and family.
Vintage and oversized for the last few years is worth taking into account: even if the blouses are far from fashion, the coat is not in size and the caps will definitely take their place in the wardrobe for the winter of 2021.
90,000 Kerry Ryan. “A forest of hands and teeth”
“We live in the cruellest of all worlds: he makes us kill our loved ones”
(Kerry Ryan.”Forest of hands and teeth”)
Have you ever read a teenage dystopia about the zombie apocalypse? Do you want? Then this book is for you! For me, this is another book, on reading which I realized that I had again fallen into the trap of excessive expectations. The reviews on it, as well as the annotation, intrigued me, forcing me to find time for it. In the end, I will not say that I did not like the book at all, but the impressions are far from the best.
I’ll start with the topic, and immediately notice that in this work the topic is clearly not mine.Of course, I may have been too inattentive, but neither in the reviews nor in the annotation did I notice that this is a book about zombies, albeit specific ones. Well, okay, let’s say this is my joint. Well, what about the ideological nature of the book? I still did not understand what the author wanted to say with this work. If she wanted to emphasize the importance of hope and its strength, then a plot like “and then everyone died – the curtain” is not the best background for this kind of idea.
But the world itself, traced in the book, is not so bad. At least in terms of the fact that it is not trivial. There are a handful of the last surviving people who hid in a village protected by a fence from the terrible Forest of Hands and Teeth, full of Unholy, that is, zombie killers. The village is ruled by the Union of Sisters (long live matriarchy!), Which decides, in fact, everything: who will marry whom, who and how to treat for what, what to do in case of any unrest, whom to kill by what method, if necessary, and so on. And in this little world of theirs, people, in fact, are trying to fulfill the main goal – to reproduce, so that the whole human race does not die out.Laughter is laughter, but the book is not particularly funny. Her universe came out pretty dark, close to the genre color of horror. True, it reminded me of the universe of “Divergent”. A separate settlement behind a fence, hidden from the outside world and terrified of any contact with possible remnants of civilization, a virus that cannot be cured and mountains of corpses against the backdrop of all this.
Oh yeah, and the occasional lack of logic in these two books also converges. Moreover, both in the behavior of the heroes and in the book universe itself. For example, I don’t understand in any way why people from this village of the future had such huge educational gaps. I can understand why they forgot Shakespeare – there was no time for him. But not knowing what the ocean is? Having no idea about Roman numerals, despite the fact that the paths between the settlements are marked with them? But where is the logic here, in principle?
But what exactly infuriated in the book was the heroes. The main character just pissed me off. Firstly, she whines throughout the book, cries and regrets herself, with or without reason.I love strong and decisive heroines, and Mary is clearly not one of them. I just want to say: I don’t like the situation, so do something! You still have nothing to lose! Secondly, the relationship of the characters is reminiscent of Santa Barbara. Harry loves Mary, who loves Travis, who is not only Harry’s younger brother, but also Cass’s fiancé, who in turn loves Harry, who is going to marry Mary. Arrrrrr !!! “Her name is Masha, she loves Sasha, and he loves Dasha and only her …” So in the book – “damn it, yo-mine”))) Thirdly, all the more or less revealed heroes of this book, even secondary ones, are complete egoists.
And the heroine’s “brilliant” dream – to see the ocean, was also pissed off. Female! You live in a world where former neighbors or relatives can eat you if you suddenly come a meter closer to the border of the settlement. You have a boyfriend you love, an older brother and a groom, albeit not loved (in a world where there are only two guys of your age, this is not so fatal), as well as housing where there are no zombies. And around your village is a forest full of horrors. What the ***** ocean is it? Why do you need him? Well, you will see him, and then what? What’s next, I’m asking you ????
But despite all this, I was wondering how the whole story would end.And since this is only the first part, I hope that the second and third will be more thoughtful and at least a little more positive than the first. So read on and share your impressions!
