How do I Sign Up for a Meal Plan
Step 1: Make sure you’ve signed up for an ePass. You can click here to do that.
If you live off-campus, skip to Step 3.
Step 2: Go to the Residential Life page and submit your PLU Master Housing & Meal Agreement. Click here to go to the Housing Application page. After you submit your contract, you’re automatically signed up for the Meal Plan B. If that’s what you want, then you’re done. If you want to choose a different Meal Plan, go to Step 3.
Step 3: To choose a Meal Plan other than Meal Plan B, click “Change or Add Meal Plan” on the right. If you need to read through the Meal Plan Descriptions first, please click here.
Step 4: Fill out and submit the Optional Meal Plan Contract. You may choose a meal plan for Fall, J-Term and Spring terms right there. Click submit and you are done.

There are no summer meal plans and The Commons & Old Main Market run VERY limited hours throughout the summer. There are no all-you-care-to-eat meals during the summer.
Meals may be purchased at any open Campus Restaurant with cash, Visa/MasterCard/Discover, Dining Dollars and LuteBucks.
You may add Dining Dollars to your account here, or with the GET app or visit Old Main Market.
If you find you have Dining Dollars left in your account as Fall Term begins, you may want to choose a smaller meal plan for Fall. Please remember that Dining Dollars purchased during the summer will roll over into your Fall balance and your total balance left will expire the last day of Spring Term. The advantage to Dining Dollars is that there’s no tax added to any food purchased with Dining Dollars—although they may only be used for food items.

Pacific Lutheran University – Boys Lacrosse Overnight & Day Camp
At Xcelerate Nike Lacrosse Camps, our goal is to bring out the very best in every player we coach. In doing so, we focus our energies on building confidence and improving skills through innovative drills, small-sided games, position-specific training, and team driven competition. We encourage our campers to play hard, be creative, and have fun! At the end of the week, our campers leave with a higher lacrosse IQ, an enhanced skill set, new role models, new friends, and a true love of the game!
PLEASE NOTE: We are limiting our enrollment numbers in 2021 due to the ongoing state and local covid regulation changes. As a result, we expect a high demand for all of our camper spots at each of our camp locations. If and when we reach our camper limit, a waiting list will be created.

A detailed camper registration packet containing check-in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers prior to camp. Xcelerate Lacrosse offers a specialized Shooting-Dodging clinic and LSM-Defensive clinic from 1:30pm-4:30pm on the first day of camp. Clinic check-in is at 1:00pm with dinner at approximately 5:00pm. The clinics will be taught by top players and coaches.

We have three sessions per day. A great deal of instruction takes place in the early part of the day, demonstrations and instruction mid-day, and games during the evening session. We also like to throw in a number of ‘fun’ activities like our fastest shot contest, freestyle/skills competition, lax golf, pool time, rec time, and camper vs. coach game.

Produce PLU Codes and What They Mean
There are many theories going around about your produce PLC codes and what they mean to you, so here is a quick overview from the source (IFPS – International Federation of Produce Standards).
4-digit Codes Within the 3000-4000 Series…
These codes are 4-digits and randomly assigned to produce varieties that are conventionally grown. They are not meant to represent whether that produce is organic or non-GMO.
Conventionally grown produce will become 5-digits in the future, and will begin with an ‘8’. So, conventionally grown bananas (for example) would be 84011 once this PLU code transition takes place.
5-digit Codes Within the 90000 Series…
The PLU codes beginning with 9, that are 5-digits, are meant to designate organic produce. The bananas pictured on this page are very clearly marked as ‘organic’ with a #94011 PLU code (and green wrapped label), vs. the conventionally grown bananas with a #4011 PLU code sticker.
What does this mean to you?
Maybe nothing! But for those that are actively seeking organically grown produce, the clarification is certainly appreciated. It is up to individual organic growers to ensure that their produce is labeled correctly, but overall the leading 9 on a five digit PLU code is an easy identifier while shopping. Please note, however, that there is no mention of what produce is GMO or non-GMO. In the meantime, buy heirloom seeds and grow as much as you can for yourself ?
*The advantages and disadvantages of buying organic or non-GMO foods is hotly debated, and is a topic that you should research further and form an informed decision based on your interpretation of what you find. We personally love heirloom, homegrown foods, but know that it simply is not always an option. Enjoy your life, enjoy your food…and make healthier decisions when and where possible!

Before I get into my food pics, I want to share a fun fact that my friend Patrice shared with me yesterday about the plu codes on produce. You know the number on the little sticker that comes on your apples, oranges, etc.? I always thought that those numbers were just something I needed to memorize as part of my first job (former Market Basket cashier here), but the plu numbers actually contain a lot of information about what you are going to eat! I learned that a four digit number means the fruit or vegetable is conventionally grown (with chemical assistance). Five digit numbers beginning with eight means the produce has been genetically modified. However, five digit numbers beginning with nine imply the produce is organic. Who knew!? Two Weeks of Eats
I’m behind on my food posting, so today you guys get two week’s worth. There’s no way I am going to remember the days I ate each, so here’s a picture collage of my blog worthy meals:

And a delicious Italian dinner from a hidden gem Watertown restaurant, Grappa. I ordered a pear salad with prosciutto stuffed figs to start, and for my meal I got the rolled eggplant. Both of these were actually appetizers, but the portions were more than enough!
Our waitress, Natalie, was the nicest woman ever. I am pretty sure she owns the restaurant too. Our service was just impeccable. She even spilled a tiny drop of red wine on Tim and sent us home with massage amounts of cannolis and tiramasu because she felt so bad about it. Local readers, a must try hidden gem if you’ve never been! It’s right on the side street next to Target in Watertown.
Of course all the food I consumed during No Carbs Left Behind Weekend with the girls is blog worthy as well, but I’ll save that for my weekend recap.
