Battlefield 1 CTE September Weapon Balance Update
Update:
90 002 We are aware of the RSC damage loss issue. This will be fixed in the very next CTE patch
Hello everyone!
Today we’re bringing you a major update in which we’re tweaking a lot of weapon settings to make them feel even more effective and slightly reduce the discrepancy between fast fire and slow fire weapons.
Over the next few days, we’ll be closely monitoring these changes to CTE to make sure they’re in balance and in line with our expectations when it all rolls into the general game.
What does this change mean?
For most automatic weapons such as LMGs (Light Machine Guns) and SMGs (Submachine Guns) this can mean you need one less bullet to secure a kill.
When this change comes to Self Loading Rifles, their accuracy and effective rate of fire is improved. These changes should make weapons that require multiple hits to kill more effective against Sniper Rifles, Shotguns and Explosives.
This should help most weapons achieve a “time to kill” (TTK) close to that of Battlefield 4 and allow players with good weapon control and skill to have a good chance of taking out multiple enemies and coming out on the winning side even if both start the firefight with low health.
We’re also tweaking Shotguns to reduce the randomness factor in shot spread.
Details:
Light Machine Guns (LMG)(Support)
The damage of all Light Machine Guns has been increased. This should make enemies feel like a “bullet-absorbing sponge” when aimed at them, especially with machine guns that previously only needed 7 hits to kill. Right now most Light Machine Guns will kill in 4-5 hits.
Also changed the recoil of machine guns that had low damage to compensate for their new damage model closer to everyone else.
Shosh machine gun (8mm Lebel heavy)
- Max damage:35⇾38
- Minimum Damage:23⇾28
- Kill range extended to 3 hits at
range
BAR and Bene Mercier (.30-06 heavy)
- Max damage:23⇾26.5
- Minimum Damage:19⇾23
Madsen, MG15, MG14/17 (7.92×57 heavy)
- Max damage:23⇾28
- Minimum Damage:17.5⇾21
Lewis Pelemet, Huot Rifle, Perino (.303 heavy and 6.6 carcano heavy)
- Max damage:23⇾26.5
- Minimum Damage:15⇾20
Since the Lewis Machine Gun, Huot Rifle and Perino will no longer drop to a lower BTK (Bullets to Kill) than other Light Machine Guns, their recoil has been slightly increased to compensate.
- Lewis horizontal recoil: 0.
34⇾0.48 - Huot horizontal recoil:0.16⇾0.28
- Perino horizontal recoil: 0.24⇾0.3
Submachine Guns (SMG)(Assault)
Increased damage for all SMGs at long range and close range.
Automatico didn’t take high damage at close range making “time to kill” close to other SMGs in enclosed spaces. To compensate for this, the vertical recoil has been slightly reduced.
MP18, SMG 08/18 (9×19)
- Max Damage: 23⇾28
- Min Damage:13.5⇾15
Helrigel (9×23)
- Max damage:23⇾26.5
- Min Damage:13.5⇾15
Automatico (9mm Gilsenti)
- Minimum Damage:12⇾13.5
- Vertical recoil: 0.4⇾0.36
Ribeyrolles (8×35)
- Max damage:23⇾28
- Min Damage:15⇾17.5
M1903 Experiment (.30-18 Auto) Yes.
it is more effective than a submachine gun
- Minimum damage: 13.5⇾15
- Kill range extended to 4, 5 and 6 hits
Self-Loading Rifles(SLR)(Medic)
Self-Loading Rifles gain an improvement in long range accuracy. While constantly aiming, the accuracy of rifles has been improved, along with an increase in damage drop at a distance for most bullets. These changes are effective at ranges slightly different from Light Machine Guns. Spread increase after each shot has been halved for all Self-Loading Rifles.
This increases the range at which they can be more effective with their maximum rate of fire and reduces the pause between shots to help rifles keep up with the “time to kill” of automatic weapons in this update. As a result, players will be able to have more consistent hits during high fire rates and be a stronger contender at long range.
All Self-Loading Rifles
- -0.
03 minimum dispersion at constant aimed fire - Increased spread after each shot: 0.2⇾0.1
- Increased range for most Self Loading Rifle bullets.
RSC (8mm Lebel semi)

SL1906, SL1916, Mondragon, General Liu (7.92×57 semi)
- Damage drop at start of range: +50%
- Damage falloff at end of range: +50%
Model 8 Rifle (.35)
- Increased range for 3 kill hits: 47m⇾70m
Model Extended Rifle (.25)
- 3 hits at distance:12m⇾20m
- 4 hits at distance:27m⇾30m
M1907 (.351SL)
- 3 shots at distance:27m⇾30m
- 4 hits at distance:36m⇾45m
Chei-Rigotti (6.5 carcano)
- 3 hits at distance:36m⇾45m
Shotguns
We’ve made some changes to how the Shotgun works by adding density to shotguns, thereby reducing spread and randomness in the game.
All Shotguns now fire 12 shots. The scatter is divided into 12 sectors, 6 in the inner circle and 6 in the outer ring. Each sector will contain 1 fraction. This will ensure that all 12 shots are evenly distributed in the spread in the cone and will prevent the shots from clustering in the same area which could cause a long-range one-hit kill or a total miss.
To compensate for this change, we’ve tweaked Shotguns slightly so they can handle 12 shot damage.
12g Automatic
- Number of shots:11⇾12
- Max damage:8.4⇾7.7
- Min Damage:4.2⇾3.85
Sjögren
- Number of fractions: 13⇾12
- Max damage:8.4⇾9.1
- Min Damage:4.2⇾4.55
M97 trench gun
- Number of shots: 15⇾12
- Max damage:8.4⇾10
- Minimum Damage:4.2⇾5
Trench gun M97 Sweeper
- Number of shots:22⇾12
- Max Damage:7.
2⇾12.5 - Minimum Damage:2.4⇾4.2
Model 10, Model 1900 and Cutoff
- Number of fractions: 20⇾12
- Max Damage:8.4⇾12.56
- Minimum Damage:4.2⇾6.25
We really hope to get feedback on all these changes, come to CTE to try them out!

FX.co – The ruble bounced up. New depreciation is not far off
2023-04-27T14:54:55
The ruble went positive on Thursday, although at the beginning of the session a downward trend was fixed, as a result of which the USD/RUB pair tested the level of 82.00.
The most pronounced recovery of the Russian currency is against the euro, as the euro was under pressure from the rising dollar.
Market players go on the defensive after disappointing US GDP, which indicated signs of a recession in the country towards the end of the year.
In general, sharp movements in the USD/RUB pair are not expected. The balance of supply and demand in the market looks stable.
Oil
The energy market is trying to restrain a strong drawdown, but the growth is uncertain.
Brent crude on Thursday continued to hold below $78 per barrel after falling almost 6% over the past two sessions. Recession fears and renewed concerns about the banking sector have outweighed falling US inventories and the prospect of weakening global supplies.
The oil market also lost all the gains due to the unexpected announcement of OPEC + on production cuts. Investors are concerned that tightening financial conditions could dampen global growth and energy demand as the Fed and ECB aim to continue raising interest rates in May.
Renewed concerns about the US banking sector have also prompted traders to avoid riskier assets.
Meanwhile, the latest EIA report showed that U.S. crude inventories fell 5.054 million barrels last week, well above expectations for a decline of 1.486 million barrels.
Dollar Index
The US currency index rose to 101.60 on Thursday after the US economy slowed more than expected in the first quarter. GDP has been hit by higher interest rates and inflation, raising signs that the world’s largest economy could slip into recession later this year.
Meanwhile, the price index for personal consumption expenditures, a measure of inflation closely monitored by the Fed, rose 4.2%, better than expected. Another report showed weekly claims unexpectedly dropped again last week. On monetary policy, it is widely believed that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates by another 25 bps in May as signs of continued inflation suggest that the tightening cycle is not over.
Forecast of the ruble
The ruble shows relative strength, but this is not stable.
