About Us
Annual Charitable Events
The Pasfield House has masterfully promoted itself with almost no advertising budget. Early on it was determined hosting community events bring community minded citizens to the Pasfield House. Once someone observes the beauty, adaptability and efficiency of the Pasfield House, referrals are likely to be made for hosting an individual or organization’s own social event.
Within the last year the Pasfield House has hosted and/or partially underwritten Community Events like the Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort for the Red Cross, the University Women Annual Holiday Desert Party Benefit, the Springfield Green Wine and Cheese Soirée, the Oak Ridge Cemetery Home for the Friendless Memorial Fund Gathering, the Friends of Sangamon Valley Event Fundraiser and just recently the SOS for the Homeless 4th of July Celebration. All of these events have helped the local community at critical times creating a tremendous amount of Good Will. These events have also brought a diverse group of citizens to the Pasfield House, many for the first time. Good Will and exposure is paying off in referrals and recommendations for future bookings.
To further expand upon the good will resulting from sponsored community events, Leone also hopes to establish annual Pasfield Sponsored Events that may benefit other local charities or causes. Ideas that are still being formulated are 1) Annual Pasfield House Easter Egg Roll on behalf of the Big Brother Big Sister Program, Pasfield Golf Course Outing and BBQ serving youth golf programs, and an Annual 4th of July Celebration for the Springfield Overflow Shelter for the Homeless.
Annual 4th of July Celebration
Each July 4th Independence Day, the Pasfield House opens it’s doors to the public to raise funds to help shelter Springfield”s homeless population. Many good citizens like Alderman Frank Edwards and State Representatives Poe and Bauer along with several retail vendors like Pease’s Candy and Truasky Meats join together with Pasfield House owner Tony Leone to provide food items for a ticketed event. Everyone knows that the Pasfield House grounds are possibly the best location to watch a fireworks extravaganza at the State Capitol. With all the food, facility and volunteer efforts, like those of the Linconland Community College Hospitality Program, we’re proud to point out that all the ticket proceeds go directly to the shelter organization. The annual event is entitled.
S O S for the Homeless, it stands for Springfield’s Overflow Shelter. Much more is needed every year but this event helps to kick-start the community efforts and is a great way to bring attention to this critical need when to many lives are at risk of harm during Illinois winters.
Annual Springfield Green Wine Soirée
Each year Springfield Green, Mayor Davlin’s effort to beautify the City of Springfield, does more and more to identify and help beautify gateways and major byways within the City. The private funds that are raised together with donated product and volunteers help improve landscaping visibility for welcoming visitors and citizens throughout the city. The scope has been on to great success from the start.
Since its inception the Pasfield House has been the venue to kick-off the annual fundraising drive for the spring planting efforts of Springfield Green. Each spring the Pasfield House is the host location for a Springfield green wine and cheese soirée entitled Decanted Delights. Usually the kickoff event for the Springfield green annual fundraising activity, the beautiful landscaped grounds of the Pasfield House becomes the prefect setting for a spring event. Each year attendance grows as does the public awareness of the Greening of Springfield. The Pasfield House is committed and does all it can by participating in the companion Adopt a Street Program, adopting Pasfield Street as well as planting neighborhood flowers ( Stella Dor’a Day Lillie’s) which are starting to take on a trend.
Thank you letter from Springfield Mayor, Tim Davlin
Pasfield House Easter Egg Roll
Our nation’s Capital has had a long tradition at the White House each year holding an annual Easter Egg Roll. This year the Pasfield House hopes to begin an Illinois Capital tradition by having a traditional Easter Egg Roll.
Joining with Springfield’s own Pease’s Candy, the Pasfield House will host a classic Easter Egg Roll on the Saturday before Easter Sunday. Invited are children ages 7-11 that are part of the local Big Brother / Big Sister Program. A beautiful place to gather, Pease’s Candy and the Pasfield House hope to provide a magical place for the children to gather with their adult supporters that do so much to strengthen the youth of our community. After a carefree day the children return home with a special memory that will be shared by all that attend, a memory we hope will last a lifetime.

Michael Scofield is one of the main characters in the TV series Escape. He worked as an engineer, was involved in the planning of Fox River Prison. In episode 1 of season 1, he robbed a bank in order to get into the Fox River and get out of there his brother, Lincoln Burroughs, who was convicted of a crime he did not commit.
Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows are the main characters in Escape, the entire story of the television series revolving around their lives, although Michael is shown even more widely than Lincoln.
Childhood
Michael Scofield was born on August 10, 1974 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He took the maiden name of his mother, since his father was not with them then (he left before Michael was born). After that, his mother died from an illness and his elder brother, Lincoln Burroughs, who took care of his younger brother, took custody of him.
Michael enrolled at Morton East High School in Cicero, Illinois. He chose the Arts and Crafts class, which included an origami section. Here he learned precision and patience. He was a gifted student and honors Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Loyola University, Chicago, after which he became a successful structural engineer at Middleton, Maxwell & Schaum in downtown Chicago.
Character
Michael is very sensitive to the grief of others, so he always wanted to help everyone, sometimes even when he himself may suffer. True, he did not always succeed, for which he only blamed himself.
I am ready to die in order to protect my relatives.
Abilities
Michael was highly intelligent; considering an object, he could mentally process every aspect of it, notice all the details of its structure, he could use them for his own benefit. Thus, he was able to get out of all, even the most difficult situations. To a large extent, this is what the plot of the film is based on: Michael could, examining nearby objects, find a way to get out of any prison, somehow using them.
Psychiatrist calls Michael a creative genius. His intelligence is noticed not only by his friends, but also by his enemies. He could draw up clear, phased plans, with the help of which he did unprecedented things, for example, he could pick up any item he needed from a well-guarded house.

At the very beginning of the television series, the final preparations for Michael’s plan to infiltrate Fox River are shown. He’s putting the finishing touches on his tattoo. To get into Fox River, Michael orchestrates a bank robbery. Then he refuses the trial and asks to be sent to the nearest prison to the house. Michael is sentenced on April 11, exactly one month before Lincoln’s execution. Thus, he goes to prison with his brother and begins to implement the plan.
The first step in the implementation of the plan was to find a bolt of the correct size in the prison yard, with the help of which he was later able to make a key with which he dismantled the toilet in his cell. Next, he arranges a test of his cellmate (Fernando Sucre) for the ability to keep secrets, placing a black bar of soap in the form of a phone in a drawer in front of him. As Michael had expected, Sucre did not give the “phone” to the guards, thereby proving that he could be trusted with the escape plan. As the series progresses, as many people as possible want to take part in the escape, not all of whom were part of Michael’s original plan. The fact that he freed T-Bag, Michael will regret all seasons. In the first 13 episodes, Michael is seen to have a specific goal in each episode that he must achieve in order to build a jailbreak. But at the last stage, the escape breaks down, a few hours before Lincoln’s execution, and Michael is forced to come up with a new plan. During the season, certain difficulties appear, unforeseen situations, from which it seems that it is impossible to get out, but Michael manages to unravel them and gradually approach the long-awaited escape.
Also seen in the first season is the beginning of Michael’s relationship with Sarah Tancredi, a prison hospital doctor. Not indifferent to Michael, Sarah decides to fulfill his request to “make a mistake” and leaves the door of the hospital office open. Michael eventually escapes with Lincoln and six other prisoners – (Fernando Sucre, John Abruzzi, Benjamin Miles Franklin, Theodore Bagwell, Charles Patoshik and David Apolskis). The brothers parted with the last three characters at once.
Second Season
In the second season, the brothers manage to hide from the police and “Company” (in the person of agent Alex Mahone, stepping on the team’s heels), which blamed the murder on Lincoln Burroughs. They are also pursued by Bellick, a former guard at Fox River Prison. Sara Tancredi also gets into trouble, she is accused of aiding the fugitives. Before his death, her father left her an important piece of evidence that should help the brothers prove their innocence. Paul Kellerman is a Secret Service agent who works for The Company in the first season, changes his priorities and the course of events.
Third season
In the third season, Michael Scofield is sent to Panama’s Sona Prison defending Sarah. The “Company” takes Al Jay and Sarah hostage so that Michael pulls out of the “Sona” his agent, a certain Whistler.Throughout the season, Michael is driven by a desire to free the hostages. He clearly goes to the goal, not thinking about the means of achievement. In the third season, Michael still cannot calmly respond to the suffering of other people. But at the same time, it gets tougher. Whistler appears to him as a simple fisherman in the same desperate situation as himself. If before Sarah’s death he is ready to fulfill the requirements of the Company without hesitation, then after her death and close acquaintance with Whistler, he begins to wonder whether his motto “The end justifies the means” is so true.He is sorry to give Whistler to the Company, as he understands that he will be killed. After Whistler confesses that the Company told him to kill Michael, their relationship grows even warmer. The escape plan changes many times, but Michael is driven by revenge for Sarah’s death. In Sleep, Michael befriended a 17-year-old boy. He feels responsible for him and takes him with him during the escape, although the guy will clearly be a burden. After getting out of “Sona”, Michael wants to make an exchange, during which it turns out that Whistler is not a helpless victim, but an active participant in what is happening with Michael.Michael says goodbye to Link and, driven by a thirst for vengeance, goes after Whistler and Gretchen.
Fourth season
Sarah is revealed to be alive this season, having fled Gretchen in Panama. A certain agent Don Self invites Mike, Link, Mahone, Sucre, Bellic and the programmer Roland to steal a device that can destroy the Company (this is the “Scylla” that keeps records of all the company’s operations) in exchange for freedom. Michael will have to go through many difficulties before they manage to take “Scylla” and hand it over to the right hands. We will be convinced of his genius more than once.
Death
Michael Scofield died of electric shock. However, on the tombstone, the date of death is April 11, 2005 – the day Michael entered the Fox River. Michael’s grave says: Michael. Jay Scofield. Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Friend. If you want to change the world, start with yourself. Michael Scofield is buried on the beach where his wedding to Sarah Tancredi took place.
Notes
An interesting question about Michael’s age. It has been repeatedly said that he is 30-31 years old, but in the dates of his birth there are some bloopers in the film itself. At the end of season 4 in episode 17, when Mahone and Barrows look at the photograph-message from Christina Scofield, Lincoln notes that Michael was born in 1976, and he is only 4 years old in the photo. But in the final episode, the date of birth is on the tombstone Michael is 1974.

90,000 Escape – Season 5: What Happened to Michael?
“What happened to Michael in the last seven years? For me, this is the central idea of the season, ”says Paul Schering in an interview with THR.
Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) dies. Long live Caniel Outis!
The answer to the biggest question from Escape fans was given in Episode 1 of the continuation of the series. For just an hour, Michael’s brother Lincoln Burroughs (Dominic Purcell) is reliving the news that his deceased sibling may not be dead, but instead may be alive and in jail in Yemen.
But how is this possible? How was Michael able to survive the Season of Escape: The Final Chapter, when he sacrificed his life to get his wife Sarah Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callie) out of prison? How and why all this remains unanswered, but in the middle of the premiere, Lincoln digs up Michael’s grave, and sees that there is no body inside the coffin.
“It was a tricky scene and it was difficult for me to write it,” executive producer Paul Schering tells The Hollywood Reporter. “In a way, digging up a grave is a bit absurd, but in a way, it’s the only thing Lincoln can do. If the body is in the grave, it is all in vain. Lincoln is obsessed with the idea: “I have to find out if the body is in this grave.” In the end, I decided that Lincoln’s need was greater than my modesty as a screenwriter. And I decided that this should be done, he should know. “
But there’s a new mystery in the show: Why is Michael pretending he isn’t Michael? At the end of the premiere, Lincoln and C-Note (Rockmond Dunbar) travel to Yemen and visit Michael, but the living brother refuses to acknowledge his past. According to executive producer Vaughn Wilmott, this plot twist raises a lot of questions.
By the way, we haven’t forgotten yet. There are not so many resources on the Web that conduct sensible analytics on films and TV shows. Among them is the @SciFiNews telegram channel, the authors of which write the most useful analytical materials – analyzes and theories of fans, interpretations of post-ton scenes, as well as secrets of bombing franchises such as the films MARVEL and “ Game of Thrones “.Subscribe not to search later – @SciFiNews. However, back to our topic …
“By the end of the first episode, we really wanted to ask some questions about Michael,” he says. – “Who is he? What he has become. Is it him, anyway? If this is not him, then who is this person who looks like him? Besides, if this is him, could these seven years have changed him a lot? ”
Moreover, Michael is now given a pseudonym: Kaniel Otis, a name that comes straight from the epic poem that gives rise to the new series, The Escape.
I’m pretty sure Paul took it from The Odyssey, ”says Wilmott. “Odysseus, returned after several years of wandering, when he was believed to be dead, this idea and the name Otis used by Shering.”
Schering confirms Otis’s parentage, adding: “I thought it would be nice if Michael had a name that was almost a phantom name. He is nobody. ”
Throughout the premiere, Michael acts like a ghost, he is more a ghost than a hero, a force that looms in the story, appearing in only a few scenes. It’s a controversial choice for some fans to hide Michael for most of the episode. But that’s what the creative team and executive producer, Michael Horowitz, are defending with all their might.
“I think it’s really fun,” he says. “It’s kind of withholding the big thing from the audience that they want to know. This puts them in Lincoln’s shoes when they find out about a living brother, and it deepens the mystery. Viewers will learn a lot more in the following episodes. It will be like challenging people, but hopefully in a good way. We don’t give viewers answers to all questions right away. ”
The creator of Getaway says he “would do fans a disservice if Michael Scofield just showed up at the start of the new season and we said, ‘It was just a dream. Instead, viewers are interested in going down the rabbit hole themselves and discovering the mystery behind Michael’s sudden appearance as the driving force behind the new season. ”
“I wanted there to be a much more mysterious reason why he disappeared,” says Schering. It would be too easy to show how a brother gets his brother out of prison. It was much more interesting to twist the plot and show that the missing person denies that he is Michael Scofield. This is part of the answer to the question: What happened to Michael in the last seven years? For me, this is the central idea of the season. ”
Wilmont adds: “It was a tough decision to hide the protagonist until the end of the first episode. But I think Paul made the right decision to rebuild his world when we find out that he is still alive. We’re making discoveries with the character, not just going back. ”
The mysteries surrounding Michael will remain in the next episodes of the series, with many answers along the way. But it looks like one question won’t be answered for some time: the history of Michael’s tattoos. After all, the last time viewers saw in episode 4 of the previous season, the tattoos were laser removed.
“Yes, I heard about it,” Shering jokes before admitting that Michael’s tattoos “are part of the show’s mythology: he has tattoos, and he has a plan. This was a new trick 12 years ago. It’s now a well-known trick, so much so that other shows are using it. I wanted to turn it all upside down. This issue will be resolved by the end of the season. I hope that the expectations of the audience will be rewarded.
Michael Scofield
Michael Scofield is one of the main characters in the TV series Escape. The character is played by actor Wentworth Miller.
Michael enrolled at Morton East High School in Cicero, Illinois. He chose the Arts and Crafts class, which included an origami section. Here he learned precision and patience. He was a gifted student who graduated from high school with a gold medal and was also honored with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Loyola University, Chicago, after which he became a successful design engineer at Middleton, Maxwell & Schaum »In downtown Chicago.
Abilities
Michael has high intelligence; considering an object, he could mentally process every aspect of it, notice all the details of its structure, he could use them for his own benefit. Thus, he was able to get out of all, even the most difficult situations. To a large extent, this is what the plot of the film is based on: Michael could, examining nearby objects, find a way to get out of any prison, somehow using them.
In The Outcast, Dr. Sarah Tancredi consults with Michael’s psychiatrist and learns that Michael has a disease called low latency inhibition. As the psychiatrist explained to Sarah, a person who has a low level of latent inhibition cannot weed out information received by the senses, the way others do. He cannot just define an object as a lamp and get it out of his head. Instead, he notices the smallest details of the lamp and remembers them all down to the smallest detail. The psychiatrist calls Michael a creative genius. His intelligence is noticed not only by his friends, but also by his enemies. He could draw up clear, phased plans, with the help of which he did unprecedented things, for example, he could pick up any item he needed from a well-guarded house.
History
Season 1
At the very beginning of the television series, the final preparation of Michael’s plan to infiltrate Fox River Prison is shown. He saw on TV that his brother was being sent to Fox River, a plan for which he himself developed as an engineer.
He also pretended to be a diabetic in order to visit the medical unit more often, from where he was going to flee. Next, he arranges a test of his cellmate (Fernando Sucre) for the ability to keep secrets, placing a black bar of soap in the form of a phone in a drawer in front of him.As Michael had expected, Sucre did not give the “phone” to the guards, thereby proving that he could be trusted with the escape plan. But at the last stage, the escape breaks down, a few hours before Lincoln’s execution, a strong and thick pipe was installed in the place where the ventilation shaft lattice stood, and Michael is forced to come up with a new plan.During the season, certain difficulties appear, unforeseen situations, from which it seems that it is impossible to get out, but Michael manages to unravel them and gradually approach the long-awaited escape.
Also shown in the first season is the beginning of Michael’s relationship with Sarah Tancredi, a prison hospital doctor. The brothers parted with the last three characters immediately, because they were not part of Michael’s plans and could jeopardize everyone with their actions. Theodore Bagwell was a vile, cunning maniac. He put one handcuff on his hand and on Michael, and swallowed the key at the same moment, so that they would not try to “get rid” of him. Michael had to run with him, increasing the cops’ chances of catching them. John Abruzzi did not tolerate the fact that Bagwell was detaining everyone, and decided to chop off his hand with an ax. Left without a chance for life, Bagwell appears in the second season with a prosthesis on his arm.As for David Apolskis, he agreed with Michael that after getting across the walls of the prison, Apolskis will go his own way. He wanted to leave with the others, but he didn’t fit into Michael’s plans.
Season 2
In the second season, the brothers manage to hide from the police and “Company” (in the person of agent Alex Mahone, who is stepping on the team’s heels), which blamed the murder on Lincoln Burrows. They are also pursued by Officer Bellick, a former guard at Fox River Prison. Sara Tancredi also gets into trouble, she is accused of aiding the fugitives.Michael had a plan in advance, to pick up the hidden clothes and car, go to Utah for DeB Cooper’s stash. However, everyone who escaped knew about this stash and everyone met in Utah. After a long search and excavation, Bagwell beat everyone up and took with him the entire $ 5 million. Someone hunted for Sarah after the death of her father, but she managed to escape. Before his death, her father left her an important piece of evidence that should help the brothers prove their innocence. Season 3
In Season 3, Michael Scofield is sent to Sona Prison in Panama to protect Sarah. This prison was a place for murderers, maniacs and it was almost impossible to get out of it. The “Company” takes L J and Sarah hostage so that Michael pulls out of the “Sona” their agent, a certain Whistler. Throughout the season, Michael is driven by a desire to free the hostages. He clearly goes to the goal, not thinking about the means of achievement. In the third season, Michael still cannot calmly respond to the suffering of other people. But at the same time, it gets tougher. Whistler appears to him as a simple fisherman in the same desperate situation as himself. If before Sarah’s death he is ready to fulfill the requirements of the Company without hesitation, then after her death and close acquaintance with Whistler, he begins to wonder whether his motto “The end justifies the means” is so true. He is sorry to give Whistler to the Company, as he understands that he will be killed. It seemed that it was impossible to get out of this prison, but Michael calculated all the details and came up with a brilliant escape plan. After getting out of Sona, Michael wants to make an exchange, during which it turns out that Whistler is not a helpless victim, but an active participant in what is happening with Michael.Michael says goodbye to Link and, driven by a thirst for vengeance, goes after Whistler and Gretchen. As a result, Whistler will be killed by one of the Company’s agents.
Season 4
Sarah is revealed to be alive this season, having fled Gretchen in Panama. A certain agent Don Self invites Mike, Link, Mahone, Sucre, Bellic and the programmer Roland to steal a device that can destroy the Company (this is “Scylla”, which stores records of all the company’s operations) in exchange for freedom. Michael will have to go through many difficulties before they manage to take “Scylla” and hand it over to the right hands.
