Navigating today’s competitive job market can be challenging, but partnering with a reputable recruiting agency like Robert Half can significantly enhance your chances of success. These agencies offer a wide range of services designed to streamline your job search, improve your application materials, and connect you with promising opportunities. Let’s explore the numerous ways a recruiting agency can elevate your job hunting experience.
Expanding Your Network: How Recruiters Connect You with Prospects
One of the most valuable services provided by recruiting agencies is their ability to connect job seekers with potential employers. Recruiters have extensive networks and insider knowledge of the job market in various industries and locations. They often have access to unadvertised job openings and can help you get your foot in the door with companies that might otherwise be difficult to reach.
Do recruiters have information about jobs that aren’t publicly posted? Yes, many recruiters are privy to upcoming job openings and expansion plans that haven’t been announced yet. This insider knowledge can give you a significant advantage in your job search, allowing you to apply for positions before they become widely known.
Navigating the Remote Work Landscape with Expert Guidance
As remote work continues to gain popularity, many job seekers are looking for opportunities that offer flexible working arrangements. Recruiting agencies have adapted to this trend and can provide valuable assistance in finding and securing remote positions.
How do recruiters help with the remote job search process? They can guide you through the entire virtual hiring process, from preparing for video interviews to understanding the nuances of remote onboarding. This expertise can be particularly beneficial if you’re new to remote work or unsure about how to present yourself effectively in a virtual environment.
Benefits of Working with a Remote Job Recruiter
- Access to a wider range of remote opportunities across different industries
- Guidance on optimizing your resume and online profiles for remote positions

Marketing Your Talents: Showcasing Your Unique Value to Employers
One of the key advantages of working with a recruiting agency is their ability to effectively market your talents to potential employers. Recruiters go beyond simply sharing your resume – they become your personal brand ambassadors, highlighting your unique skills and experiences to hiring managers.
How do recruiters effectively market job seekers to employers? They take the time to understand your strengths, accomplishments, and career aspirations. Armed with this knowledge, they can craft compelling narratives that showcase why you’re the ideal candidate for specific roles. They can offer personalized advice on highlighting your most relevant skills and experiences, tailoring your resume to specific job requirements, and crafting compelling narratives that showcase your unique value proposition. Malcolm was nervous about joining a big company like Amazon. He was nervous that he wouldn’t have the opportunity to lead big projects; his experience has been the exact opposite. During his Human Resources (HR) internship in California, he was able to collaborate with HR leaders across North America to complete a large-scale HR development project. As an intern, Malcolm was empowered to build relationships with HR Business Partners and create and analyze surveys to identify learning content needed for HR professionals at Amazon. In addition to being on a project team, he was able to learn from the site HR team and understand how HR plays a key role in running a successful operation. In his own words, “The level of ownership that Amazon instills in their interns is truly pivotal in helping young professionals learn in a professional environment.”
After completing his BBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Malcolm decided to return to Amazon full-time. In college, he was involved in marching band, volleyball, and other social organizations, and he enjoys being a part of different groups and trying new things. Based on his internship, Malcolm knew that Amazon would constantly provide new challenges and new environments, and he knew that this was the place he wanted to start his career. Within two years, Malcolm was promoted from HR Assistant to HR Business Partner and he has continued to expand his understanding and expertise in the HR field.
One of Malcolm’s favorite aspects of Amazon is how the Leadership Principles guide business decisions. Malcolm expected the Leadership Principles to just be words that are mentioned on the company website, but he quickly learned that they are embedded into every part of the company, from assessing talent to developing new business initiatives. The Leadership Principle he finds most important for success in his role is Earn Trust. Malcolm strives to build positive relationships within his network and creates work environments where employees feel empowered to reach their fullest potential.
Malcolm grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and has been living in the San Francisco Bay Area for the last two years. He enjoys exploring the outdoors and the food scene in this part of the country. Malcolm and his twin brother are big US Soccer fans and they love traveling to different cities to see each other and watch games.

Our Stories
The Fayetteville Police Department is comprised of a very diverse group of professionals, all brought together for common goal: to serve the community of Fayetteville all while keeping the great citizens safe. Every officer has a unique story to tell. Learn why these officers chose the Fayetteville Police Department below.
Detective Daniel Edmonds
“My father has been with the Police Department since before I was born, so I have grown up running through the halls or sitting at his desk and listening to old war stories. The more I listened, the more I became intrigued with the lifestyle of being a cop; I thought it was amazing how strangers from all walks of life could come together day in and day out and instill a certain level of trust that can only be described as a family. That is what made me want to join this particular department, because out of all the other departments in North Carolina, this is the only one that makes me feel like I’m part of a family. It has made me feel that way when I was younger and still does.”
K9 Officer Candice Snyder
“From a young age, I always wanted to be a police officer. Growing up, I watched old western movies with my grandfather and I always admired the characters who portrayed law enforcement officers. My grandparents knew this about me so they bought me toy guns and sheriff’s clothing to wear so I could chase my sister around the house and somewhat fulfill my dreams as a child. During my preschool graduation, each student was dressed like the desired profession they choose to be when they grew up. I stood up in front of the crowd to proudly say, “My name is Candice Snyder and I want to be a Cop!” I wanted to work with others who were in need or who needed help but were not sure where to find it. Fayetteville Police Department has provided me with that opportunity.”
Detective Katie Valentine
“I felt led to be a Police Officer. I had always wanted to serve my community in some way. When I met other Officers that work for the Fayetteville Police Department, they encouraged me to apply. I had been working at a grocery store for many years and was very unhappy. I was unable to pay for school and heard that Fayetteville had its own academy. I prayed about it for a while and applied. I actually got denied once and it drove me to apply again a few months later. Never quitting, I am now a Detective in Property Crimes. You have to go through the valley to climb the mountain.”

Video Demo:
SoccerNation is dedicated to helping soccer families navigate the crazy and confusing soccer world. From finding a recreational program, to navigating college recruiting, the process can be overwhelming for families.
Productive Recruit looks to be a helpful tool for families who have the goal of college soccer, so we reached out to Collin to learn more about it for SoccerNation families.
A chat with Collin
SN: How will this help families who have the goal of college soccer but feel overwhelmed?
PR: Productive Recruit gives families a much easier way to organize and streamline all recruiting process communications in one place. One of the most difficult parts of the recruiting process is the amount of time and effort it takes to find coach contact information and keep track of email communication, but Productive Recruit makes it easy.
SN: How does this compare to services like College Fit Finder and Scouting Zone?
PR: Scouting Zone, College Fit Finder, and Productive Recruit are all completely different platforms, so it’s a like comparing apples to oranges. Scouting Zone focuses heavily on in-person recruiting events, and College Fit Finder is a research tool to learn more about prospective colleges.
PR: On the other hand, Productive Recruit is a communication tool allowing athletes to track emails, complete tasks, find college coaches, and more. I am a big believer in the recruiting process being very similar to a job application process. Athletes need to reach out to as many colleges as they can (for schools where that are a good fit) to give themselves the best opportunity to get recruited. The key is doing so in a personalized manner, and following up consistently.
PR: Sending mass messages from NCSA, Sports Recruits, or similar platforms is a turn off to college coaches. Coaches want to hear from the athlete personally, which is why Productive Recruit provides athletes their own personal recruiting email address. Productive Recruit does not allow athletes to send mass emails to multiple colleges at once. Emails sent from Productive Recruit are plain text emails from the athlete — as if sent from their personal gmail, and contain no additional images or promotional materials linking to Productive Recruit.
PR: Following up with coaches is equally as, and probably more, important than initial outreach. Coaches are busy and may forget to read or reply to your emails. Additionally, if it is before June 15 of your junior year, coaches cannot send you emails directly.
PR: Treat your recruiting process like a journey and share it with the coaches. When you have an important update like an improved GPA or SAT score, share it! Knowing when to follow up is much easier with Productive Recruit. Your whole conversation history with each college will be visualized, making it easy to see all your conversations with each coach in one place.
Recruiting during a Pandemic
SN:Any specific ways this can help kids in today’s landscape of NO practices, NO games, NO tournaments?
PR: With limited in person touch-points, effective e-communication with college coaches is more important than ever. Productive Recruit gives athletes the tools they need to keep track of all their communication with college coaches in one place. Coaches are sitting at home with their email inboxes open, waiting for recruits to contact them. Productive Recruit makes it effortless to send personal emails to college coaches at scale.
SN: Is Productive Recruit available for clubs, high schools, and other recruiting businesses?
PR: Yes, I am working hard on our partner platform which will allow organizations like soccer clubs to provide accounts to their players, with additional features like tracking player activity and organizing team brochures for showcases/events. I am planning on launching this in July but partners can begin to apply by submitting this form.

90,000 developers of private rival Chrome launched their search engine
The creators of Brave, a browser that is positioned as a completely private and secure alternative to Chrome, announced the launch of a beta version of its own search engine. According to the developers, the new Brave Search feature is completely independent, as it relies on its own, not a third-party index like Google, and is transparent – “without hidden methods or algorithms that distort search results.”
In addition, open-source ranking models created by the user community will soon be applied. This will “ensure diversity, avoid algorithmic bias and outright censorship,” the company said.
As for monetization, in the future Brave Search will be offered in two versions – free with ads and paid without ads. In this case, the search in any case will remain “completely anonymous”, promised in Brave.
Developers will also consider an option in which search engine users will be able to receive a reward in the form of BAT (Brave Attention Token) cryptocurrency for viewing contextual advertising.Such a program – purely voluntary – is already in place when visiting sites through Brave. The tokens earned can be spent to support bloggers, exchanged for vouchers to book hotels or get a discount at restaurants, or converted to another currency through crypto exchanges like Coinbase.
Brave Search is available in desktop and mobile versions of the application. You can also access the search engine from any other browser at search.brave.com.
Brave is one of the most popular “alternative” browsers, based on the same Chromium engine as Google Chrome, but without the ad tracking technologies used in its development by the world’s largest search engine.Due to this, its creators say, Brave is “up to 3 times faster than Chrome” and consumes 35% less battery power.
The viewer already includes tools that “cut” annoying ads, disable autoplay videos, Internet bugs and ensure privacy – users do not need to install any additional plugins. In addition, Brave has a built-in torrent client, a crypto wallet, an anonymous Tor browser on a separate tab, and support for The Wayback Machine service for viewing remote pages.

90,000 Brave's confidential browser got a branded search engine that does not follow user
The developers of the privacy-focused browser Brave have made their own search engine publicly available, which has been tested with a large number of users over the past few months.Despite the fact that at this stage the beta version of the search engine Brave Search has been launched, anyone can already use it.
Image: Westend61 / Getty Images
The main feature of Brave Search is that it does not collect user data. Developers are positioning their search engine as an alternative to analogues such as Google search. You can use the Brave browser to interact with it, or go to search.brave.com in another browser.
To build its own search engine, Brave bought a startup that had previously worked on the privacy-focused browser and search engine Cliqz. These same developers created the Tailcat search engine, which became the basis of the Brave search engine. According to reports, the system was tested with more than 100 thousand users before the launch of the beta version of the search engine Brave.
“Brave Search is the industry's most closed search engine and also the only independent search engine, giving users the control and confidence they seek in alternatives to major search engines.Unlike older search engines that track user activity, and newer search engines, which are mostly shells of old systems and do not have their own indexes, Brave Search offers a new way to get relevant results through a community-maintained index while guaranteeing privacy. "," said Brendan Eich, co-founder and CEO of Brave.

Former Google employees Sridhar Ramaswamy and Vivek Raghunathan have launched a new paid search engine without ads, Neeva. This is reported by Vc.ru.
Neeva will abandon the principle of making money from advertising, which is used in other search engines. For starters, users will be able to try it free for three months. Next, the search engine will offer them a monthly subscription for $ 4.95.
The startup raised $ 77.5 million in investments from venture capital funds Greylock and Sequoia. The creators of Neeva noted that the search engine's business model will avoid intrusive advertising and spying on users.

Add or remove search engines in Firefox
Firefox comes with a variety of search engines available by default. Most websites offer search engines that you can add to Firefox. This allows you to search with a website's search engine directly from the Firefox search bar or address bar. This article describes how to add or remove search engines that Firefox uses.
Adding a search engine from the Search panel
Firefox offers an optional Search Bar. Read the article My search bar is gone - how to add it to add it to Firefox.
- Visit a website that offers an OpenSearch search engine (we will use youtube.com as an example)
- Click on the magnifying glass in the Search bar.
- Click on.
- The search engine will appear in your available searches.
Add search engine from address bar
When you visit a website that offers the OpenSearch search engine, you can add it from the context menu of the address bar Actions on the page (we will use youtube.com as an example).
- Right-click Control-click
on the address bar. - Select.
- Click the Page Actions button (3 dots) on the address bar.
- Select from the menu.
Add a search engine discovery to the search bar : Right-click Control-click
the Actions menu on the page that shows the available search engine (as shown above for YouTube) and select "Add to Search Bar".The search engine icon will be added to the search bar. When you visit another site that offers a search engine (such as www.yahoo.com), an icon for that site will appear in the search bar.
To add a search engine, you can click on the website icon in the address bar.
Search Engine Add-ons
Many providers offer search engine add-ons. To find these search engines and add them to Firefox:
- Open Firefox's Search panel Settings Settings Settings
using one of the following methods: - At the bottom of the Search pane, click Find More Search Engines .The Firefox Add-ons website opens.
- Select the search engine you want to install and click Add to Firefox.
Note : The Mycroft project website also offers many search engine add-ons for Firefox and other browsers.
Follow these steps to remove alternative search engines that you do not want to use.
- Open Firefox's Search panel Settings Settings Settings
using one of the following methods: - Below One-Click Search Search Keyboard Shortcuts Uncheck the box next to each search engine you do not want to use.
To remove a search engine, follow these steps:
- Open Firefox's Search panel Settings Settings Settings
using one of the following methods: - Below One-Click Search Search Keyboard Shortcuts Click the search engine you want to delete.
- Click the Remove button to remove it from your list.
Note: If the search engine came back after restarting Firefox, it could be due to Firefox extensions. They can be removed using the Add-on Manager (see the article Disable or remove add-ons for more information).
Restore deleted search engine
If you deleted a search engine that you added yourself, but then changed your mind, then you can return it back, either from the Search panel, or from the Addresses panel, or by reinstalling the Search Engine add-on (see above).
If you have removed any of the default search engines that are built into Firefox, you will need to open Settings> Settings> Settings
Firefox - panel and click on the Restore default search engine set button in section One-click search Search keyboard shortcuts to bring them back.
90,000 Search Ads. Advertising in search engines Yandex and Google
Advertising in search engines
Search advertising in Yandex and Google is one of the most convenient and effective means of advertising and promoting goods and services on the Internet. Easy to use, visual, and most importantly - completely natural and understandable for anyone who has ever come across it, search advertising for sites has recently gained immense popularity and is currently considered one of the most effective advertising technologies available at the moment. for all categories of advertisers.
Search Ads are just
Judge for yourself - like a sniper, an advertising message in Yandex.Direct and / or Google Ads search advertising "targets" only the right addressees. At the same time, the users of search engines themselves press the descent: when they type the request the advertiser needs, the corresponding advertisement is broadcast to them. That is why such advertising is called contextual - after all, it is shown in context with the user's request.Simple, right? Alas, in 2019, 20 years after search engine advertising appeared in Russia, its capabilities increased significantly, but the complexity of managing such a campaign also increased.
Wealth of Opportunities and the Problem of Choice
The definition of advertising in search engines really sounds simple, but when it comes down to it, it is easy to get confused. First, search ads can be placed across multiple sites. Which one is the best for your business, or is it worth testing all the systems by comparing the final metrics of campaign performance? The answer is not easy to find, and representative tests can be quite expensive (especially for small and medium-sized businesses).Secondly, what type of search advertising is best to use in each specific case? Maybe a contextual banner? Is it dynamic or static? Or a simple text ad? What keywords: transactional or informational type? There are many options, technological possibilities - even more, but to understand the services of search advertising and understand which one is right for you, it will take a lot of time and effort or a reliable partner in the person of iConText.
For the first time, Internet search advertising began working in 1994, and in 1998 it appeared in Russia.Yandex became a pioneer in this area. In 2000, Google also started showing ads on search results. Google search advertising has been so successful that many Western direct advertisers and agencies have immediately turned to this method of promoting their products and services.
Search Ads Tasks
Search engine advertising tasks typically include the following common business tasks associated with various elements of the customer journey:
- Serving the existing demand for goods or services - advertising in search is shown to users interested in purchasing specific goods or services. They enter so-called transactional keywords into the search bar, which contain such word forms as “buy”, “order” and others. This advertising strategy is designed to find in the search those consumers who are already ready to buy directly and are at the bottom of the sales funnel, so sales begin to grow immediately after the start of such an advertising campaign.
- Creating a new demand for goods or services - the use of advertising, in which the core of search queries is information requests (often they contain questions, product reviews, market reviews, etc.)) for which advertisements are displayed. The essence of such a search advertising campaign is to get acquainted with the product or service of a cluster of consumers who are just looking for a solution to their problem.
- Evaluating Alternatives - These types of ad campaigns usually aim to “intercept” search traffic when consumers compare products or services in their search. Sometimes it is even possible to use keywords at this stage that include the names of companies or competitors' products.
Search ads can be targeted more accurately with additional targeting. He puts in the advertising settings special characteristics of the target audience, which ensure almost one hundred percent of the ad gets to the right addressee. For example, socio-demographic targeting is based on the social characteristics of the consumer, gender, age, occupation (young mothers, schoolchildren, housewives or businessmen). Geotargeting is based on the georeferencing of an ad impression to a specific region, city, or district.Audience targeting can also include impressions only to those consumers who have already visited certain areas of the brand's website or even performed certain actions there.
Search Ads Security
In 2019, it is important to pay attention to such features of search advertising as its safety for the brand and its advertising budget.
- Fraudulent search traffic (or clicks) is automatically eliminated and is not taken into account when generating the next invoice for the client;
- Mobile settings allow you to not show search ads separately in mobile applications, which is sometimes extremely important in the era of smartphones;
- Network campaign settings allow you to avoid displaying search ads next to sensitive content that could damage your brand.
Contact iConText
The iConText agency was one of the first to engage in search advertising in Yandex.Direct and Google Ads - therefore, we have accumulated a wealth of experience in working with a variety of advertising campaigns. We can not only answer all of the above questions, but also offer a comprehensive search advertising solution for each specific case and business problem.
