2023 Acura Integra Will Offer a Six-Speed Manual Transmission
- Acura has confirmed that the upcoming Integra will offer a six-speed manual transmission.
- We also know the car will be available in a four-door hatchback body style.
- The Integra is set to debut in 2022 and will go on sale in the U.S. that year as well.
Acura is continuing to trickle out information about the return of the Integra, and the latest tidbit is sure to delight enthusiasts. Like its predecessors, the 2023 Integra will be available with a manual transmission—a six-speed, to be specific. A photo reveals the shift knob and a bit of the car’s center console, while a video clip includes an engine sound that hints at a turbo-four powertrain.

We’re expecting the Integra to share many components with the Honda Civic, so that opens up a few possibilities for which engine will power the new entry-luxury model. The turbo 1. 5-liter inline-four from the base Civic and the Si is likely, although we’re really hoping that Honda sees fit to install the more powerful turbo 2.0-liter unit from the Civic Type R into a performance-oriented Type S version of the Integra. Both of these engines are already offered with stick-shifts in Civic models, so there’s precedent for a row-your-own gearbox.
Compared with the Honda, the Integra is likely to have its own unique styling—as we’ve seen from teaser photos—along with a nicer interior layout. A four-door hatchback is the only body style that’s been confirmed so far. All-wheel drive is a likely option, as many of its entry-luxury competitors offer that option, although we’re doubtful that you’ll be able to pair AWD with the manual.
Stay tuned for more information to come on the Integra, as we should see the real thing sometime early in 2022 before it goes on sale later that year.

Everything We Know About the Compact Sporty Car
It’s not a typical year when you can say that Friday the 13th offered a delightful surprise for car enthusiasts, but that’s exactly what happened on Friday, August 13, 2021. Acura, in a surprise announcement years in the making, revealed its iconic Integra compact sports car would return for 2023. A drone display outlined an ambiguous shape in the California sky, and a single teaser image showed a very modern Acura headlight with a classic “INTEGRA” embossing below.
Here’s what we know about the 2023 Acura Integra at this juncture.
2023 Acura Integra: Two or Four Doors?
The biggest question on our minds right now is how many doors the Integra will sport when we are allowed to see more of it. Remember, for much of its life, the Integra was available in both two- and four-door flavors. We asked Acura Brand Officer Jon Ikeda, point blank, if the new Integra will feature either arrangement (or both), and he offered a cryptic “maybe” in return.
See all 105 photos
Another piece of the puzzle is that the ILX compact sedan is on the ninth-generation Civic and is due to soldier on a little longer. That said, with the 11th-generation Honda Civic running around, the ILX can’t be too long for this world. Ikeda insisted the Integra is not an ILX replacement, and that the Integra will be the brand’s entry-level vehicle. This could mean the Integra eventually becomes the de facto ILX replacement when and if that model is finally retired at the end of the 2022 model year.
A true coupe would be a daring move in a universe in which sporty two-doors are an endangered species, but it’s the body style most associated with the glory days of the Integra, and that’s what we’ve decided to render to illustrate this article. It’s strikingly different than the compelling Integra renders another talented artist shared with us earlier (which were done before the new Integra was announced).
2023 Acura Integra: Budget Halo Car
With the NSX on the way out (being sent off with a tasty Type S version), Acura doesn’t have a true halo to show off its sporty near-luxury aspirations. The MDX, particularly the all-wheel-drive models, offer great handling and have been a standout success for the company. But even with an ILX Type S allegedly on the way, the compact sedan is not an image leader like the NSX. Instead, Ikeda told us, the Integra will fill this slot.
Yes, that means the entry-level model in Acura’s range is due to step into the NSX’s shoes. It’ll have to deliver on the sporty promise of its name—and do justice to its ancestors—to achieve this, though.
2023 Acura Integra: Electrified?
The Integra won’t be electrified at launch, nor will it initially offer a Type S variant. We expect an electrified version to arrive soon after the car’s release, and if leaked Acura documents we saw earlier are to be believed, an Integra Type S, as well.

2023 Acura Integra: What’s Underneath?
Like Integras of yore, the new 2023 Integra will be heavily based on the Honda Civic. This is a very good thing given the excellence baked into the new eleventh-generation Civic, and the mind-blowing performance of the current Civic Type R. A 2023 Integra Type S is almost certain to leverage the Civic Type R parts bin. How the Integra might be electrified is currently unclear. It may be that an e-motor will be used at the rear axle in a hybrid all-wheel-drive setup, a drivertrain layout that’s also rumored for the 11th-gen Civic Type R.

ArcGIS Server site integration with portal — Portal for ArcGIS (10.4.1)
Integrating an ArcGIS Server site with a portal is a way to integrate the security and sharing models of the portal and one or more ArcGIS Server sites. Integration is optional unless you require the following:
- Configure the site to work with the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) identity provider.
- Place tile, object, and scene layers published by portal members.
- Allow portal members to perform spatial analysis in the Portal for ArcGIS map viewer.
When you add a server to your portal in this way, you can say that you are integrating the server with the portal. The server added to your portal is called the federated server.
When integrating a server with a portal, the portal security store completely controls access to the server. On the one hand, this makes logging into the portal more convenient, but on the other hand, it affects how access and administration to the integrated server will be performed. For example, when integrating, all the users, roles, and rights that you previously configured for ArcGIS Server are no longer used.Access to services is now determined by members, roles, and access rights configured in the portal. Before integrating, read the details on how the integration will affect the site (Integrated Server Administration).
When integrated, existing ArcGIS Server services are automatically published as portal items. These items are owned by the administrator who is performing the integration. After integration, ownership can be redefined between existing portal users as needed. All items published on the server automatically appear on the portal.
After integration, you can optionally designate a single server site to store cached maps, feature services, and scene services (tile layers, feature layers, and scene layers) published by portal users. This will also allow portal members to perform spatial analysis in the Portal for ArcGIS map viewer. Analysis tools are a collection of tasks on a server. This is called configuring the host server for the portal.
If the server you want to integrate uses web tier authentication, you will need to disable web tier (basic or digest) authentication and enable anonymous access on the ArcGIS Web Adapter configured for your site before integrating it with your portal. While this may seem counterintuitive, it is necessary so that the site is free to integrate with the portal and can read users and roles from the portal. If your ArcGIS Server site does not use web tier authentication, no action is required.Continue with the next steps.
If you plan to use your organization’s reverse proxy to use Portal for ArcGIS, you must add the portal to your reverse proxy before performing the following steps. For detailed instructions, see Using a reverse proxy with Portal for ArcGIS.
The following steps show you how to integrate an ArcGIS Server site with your portal:
After integrating the server with the portal, you may need to do the following:
