A single Half-Point Bye is available any round, to include the final round. The Half-Point Bye may be requested as part of the advance entry or online by 11 pm on the day before the tournament starts. On-site you can request a Half-Point up to 2 hours before the published start time for Round 1. Thereafter, the only bye available is a Zero-Point Bye, which is an option for any round and may be requested up to 2 hours before the start of the round for which the Zero-Point Bye is requested.
Any Bye, including a Zero-Point Bye may not be revoked after Round 1 begins.
The Chief TD shall have the ability to grant a Half-Point bye for any round on unusual circumstances, except the last round.

First ECNL Girls champions decided as 2021 National Finals field is set
The field is set for the 2021 ECNL Girls National Finals and the first group of national champions were crowned this past week at the ECNL National Playoffs in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
Chicago club Eclipse Select SC was crowned in Florida as the U-18/19 Champions League winner after a thrilling 3-2 victory in the title match against Internationals SC.
Teams across the U14-U17 age groups have booked their spots in the ECNL National Finals, which will be played later this month in Richmond, Va. The Champions League, which is the top flight of ECNL postseason competition, will see the U14, U16 and U17 age groups play their semifinals and finals in Richmond.
Due to inclement weather during the National Playoffs in Florida, the U15 age group was unable to complete its quarterfinal round. The U15 Champions League division will send eight teams to the National Finals, where they will begin play with the quarterfinals.

Other ECNL postseason divisions include the North American Cup (2nd flight) along with the Showcase Cup and the Open Cup. Numerous champions were decided in those competitions in Florida, while others were unable to compete play due to weather.

At the All-Girls National Championships, the Chess Queens of Success Academy Triumph
At the 15th Annual All-Girls National Chess Championships, Success Academy scholars knocked it out of the park! Twenty-seven scholars from seven schools travelled to Chicago to compete this past weekend, and they dominated the tournament. The SA High School of the Liberal Arts team placed first in the U18 division, beating out acclaimed Stuyvesant High School. SA Hudson Yards sixth-grader Nura Baalla became the national champion in the Under 12 division, winning 5.5 out of six games, with her team tying for first place.
The city has taken notice! The Success Academy victories were reported on by the NY Post, congratulated in a tweet from Mayor de Blasio, featured on Pix11!
In total, Success Academy scholars and teams took home seven trophies, including five in the top three spots!
