Our Story – ECD Lacrosse
Greg Kenneally was always the team “stick doctor”; every team has one and Greg was always the best. In early 2011 during his senior year of college, Greg felt he could turn his passion into a full-time business. After graduating from Elizabethtown College, he started dyeing and stringing sticks for local customers. While taking requests and selling his work on eBay, he continued to share his work with everyone through YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.
In late 2011, Greg announced to his roommates that he was going to make his own wax mesh. Unsatisfied with the current mesh on the market, Greg knew he could make a better mesh. After months of research and development and many wax formulas, Greg perfected East Coast Mesh and East Coast Dyes (ECD Lacrosse) was born in the basement of their home.
During the spring of 2012, Greg was a busy man. While taking graduate school night classes at Towson University and working full time at his dads accounting firm, he still continued to grow his business.
In May of 2012, the business was starting to pick up and the ECD fan base was rapidly growing. Due to the increase in demand Greg formed a partnership with his twin brother Mike. Greg would ship the orders and Mike would make the mesh. They thought this would be a great hobby while they finished earning their master’s degree in accounting. Shortly after forming their partnership, the Kenneally Brothers were joined by friends Dave and Ryan.
By January of 2013, as demand grew and national retail interest increased, Mike and Greg hired Ben, Mike’s college roommate, to help with shipping orders and retail sales. At this point there were 5 employees and the company had slowly taken over Greg’s entire house. It was time to move.
In May of 2013, ECD finally left Greg’s house and moved into a 2,000 square foot facility in Lutherville, Maryland. With the move came more employees. Tom, Keith, Travis, and Pat were hired as well as some friends to work for the summer.
June of 2013 was the company’s busiest month. Retailers across the world were now carrying East Coast Mesh and space in the new warehouse was already becoming too tight. By November of 2013, ECD moved into a 9,000 square foot space located just outside Baltimore, MD.
Around the Spring of 2016, ECD was again outgrowing their space. By June of 2016, they expanded into the warehouse space next door bringing the ECD HQ to a 21,000 square foot space. They added a 1,800 square foot custom turf area, provided by FieldTurf, where pros could train and test products along with 2,000 square feet of new office space for designing and developing future products.
What was started with just Greg in his college bedroom, has now turned into a company with over 20 employees, that works with every major retailer in the lacrosse industry.
Greg and Mike are extremely proud of ECD Lacrosse; the company motto “Hard Work Pays Off” is a reminder that success does not come without hard work.

As the sport of lacrosse grows with emerging technologies, there are so many great platforms to watch highlights, pick up skill tips and stay up to date with news in lacrosse.
1). Joe Keegan – What I love about Joe’s video content is he includes a lot of short clips based on a specific subject. It’s easy to get lost in a long highlight and just watch for fun. This YouTube user’s channel is a great place to explore various lacrosse concepts.

It includes high level high school and college matchups from an elevated position. Game highlights are generally around 10 minutes and shows everything from good defense, ground ball play, goals, assists and saves.
5). Lacrosse Nation – This is my go to spot to find full games and highlights. Soon after college games are played, highlights and some full game tape becomes available. Great place to not only catch up with missed action, but to study different techniques and concepts for players and coaches.

East Coast Dyes: A Trend Turned Into A Game Changer
If you play lacrosse at any level, over the past few years you have at least heard of East Coast Dyes. If you are a stringer and/or student of the game, you have been well aware of East Coast Dyes and its impact on the game for years. The takeover of performance mesh has been unbelievable. Greg Kenneally, who founded ECD in 2011, is largely responsible for this. He spearheaded a trend in 2011 that is still very hot in 2015. A “performance” mesh that works better than your average mesh is appealing for good reason.
I first saw Greg and East Coast Dyes on Youtube in early 2012 when Greg was posting mostly stringing videos that often received less than a 1,000 views. He now has expanded his videos to other areas of lacrosse interest and averages around 10,000 views per, many videos greatly exceeding that average. Up until May of 2013, ECD’s 5 total employees were working out of Greg’s house. They now have over 20 employees working out of a 9,000 square foot facility outside of Baltimore, Maryland. East Coast Dyes’ accomplishments don’t stop there. They are partners with Major League Lacrosse, The Lacrosse Network, and more. Many of the elite college and professional players are using ECD mesh. Marcus Holman recently sported his STX Surgeon 500 head with Hero Mesh for USA in the World Indoor Lacrosse Championships.
Greg and East Coast Dye’s commitment to a high quality performance mesh, their dedicated fan base, and the company motto “Hard Work Pays Off” has led ECD to be an evident success.
Although East Coast Dyes is most well known for their mesh game, they have recently shifted some focus to other products such as shafts. ECD offers carbon composite shafts that look and perform great. They also now sell apparel including performance socks, t-shirts, and more. East Coast Dyes recently began their annual fundraiser where a portion of sales of their limited edition HeroMesh pink striker mesh goes towards breast cancer research. Last year they donated $5,000 and they are very optimistic they will beat that number this year.
The sport of lacrosse has seen a multitude of changes and trends on and off the field in the past few years. All it takes is one person with a passion like Greg’s to change the game forever.

New Years Resolution Purchase Swax Lax Lacrosse Training Balls
Swax Lax was fortunate to receive lots of attention from reputable lacrosse magazines, countless fans on Instagram and Youtube, popular retailers, and awesome bloggers. Whether a college student stuck indoors for winter training or a third grader learning lacrosse basics in a gym, reviewers highlighted the indoor friendliness of the Swax Lax balls.
Seth Janica of Lacrosse Playground called the product a “must-get” and “something of a dream,” and admitted that Swax Lax “nailed it!” compared to outdated lacrosse training balls. Seth went as far as to hit himself with the ball just to prove that it hurt a lot less than a regulation ball even though Swax Lax balls weigh the same! Read more on his blog page.
In the November 2015 issue of Lacrosse Magazine, they coined the product as “a great stocking stuffer,” acknowledging that the soft material and bounce resistance plays a role in developing players’ confidence as their skills progress. Removing fear can make the game more attractive and approachable to young lacrosse players, who will be more likely to stick with the sport as they ease into using game-regulated balls.
Lacrosse Unlimited, one of our most well-known retailers, is now featuring Swax Lax in their stores and on their website. Shop online or visit one of their 57 stores to get a Swax Lax in your favorite color!
In a YouTube review in July, the dudes at East Coast Dyes commented on the research they’d found after talking to some buddies, who noted the balls “are perfect for goalies who want to practice their hand-eye coordination.” We don’t advise you to test the balls to see if they’ll break your neighbor’s window, but we do support their mom-friendly idea of walking around the house cradling a Swax Lax ball. The guys show back-to-back clips of them passing and shooting — not only should you view this great review but give them some creds for ripping some killer Gs. Kudos guys.
Higher Education
Swax Lax has expanded its horizons to reach a wider variety of age groups, including many universities and colleges. In addition, an ivy league university is now testing the properties of the Swax Lax ball, and another university is conducting a marketing analysis. We look forward to their results and input.
Of all the expectations 2016 has in store, make the smart choice for your team, club program, university, or your own child by adding “Purchase Swax Lax balls,” to your list of New Year’s resolutions. We know you’ll agree that it’s a lot easier than going vegan or hitting the gym everyday.

DENMARK POSTOfficial name: Post Danmark A / SFounded: in 1624Number of employees: ~ 20,000
All official papers in Denmark are delivered by post. A similar system works, for example, in the United States. Postmen deliver not only letters, but also social security cards, freshly issued driver’s licenses and bank cards.Registration letters are sent to Danes from any government organization.
At any time of the year, Danish postmen ride bicycles or scooters, vans are used only for the transport of parcels. If the addressee is not at home, he is left with a special notice. It will indicate where the nearest postal terminal is: letters and parcels that did not immediately find their owners are stored on them. The terminals support an interface in Danish and English. A special device reads the data from the social card and the barcode on the notification, and then opens the safe with the package. You can also send a parcel using the terminal.
Sending a letter within Denmark costs a minimum of 8 CZK (1 euro 7 cents). All calculations can be done using the Post Danmark app for iPhones and iPads. It also allows you to find the zip code by the exact address or street, shows the nearest terminals, boxes and post offices (with hours of work) and tracks the travel of letters or parcels – if you enter the numbers from the departure barcode. Another application – Intelligent Stamp – reads QR codes from some brands, then something mysteriously called “digital experience” happens. Most often, the client is simply shown a comic strip. And for those who forgot to buy a stamp for writing, just send an SMS with the word “porto” to the Post Danmark short service number. A code will be sent by reply, it must be written on the envelope.

AUSTRALIA POSTOfficial name: Australian Postal CorporationEstablished: in 1809Number of employees: ~ 35,000
Australian postmen travel on foot, on bicycles and on Honda CT110 motorcycles, which for thirty years have become familiar in the country so much that they are called so: postie bikes … For the longest distances, mail is delivered by vans, and mail aviation is sent to the desert inland areas of the continent (outback). Australia’s most neglected mailbox is located on an underwater platform off the Great Barrier Reef off the east coast.
Sending a letter within the country costs 60 local cents (that’s 63 US cents). From Perth to Sydney (3219 km, which is approximately equal to the distance from Moscow to Kuibyshev, Novosibirsk region), it will reach in four days, like any parcel.
PO Box users can use the Mail2Day function – as soon as the addressee receives a letter, he is sent an e-mail or SMS. With the Australia Post Digital smartphone app, it’s easy to calculate the cost of a parcel or registered letter, find the nearest post office or branch, track a parcel, and even pay some bills. It is available on all major platforms – iOS, Android and Windows Phone.

TAIWAN POSTOfficial name: Chunghwa Post Co., Ltd.(中華 郵政 股份有限公司) Established: in 1896 – as the postal service of the Japanese colonial administrationas the postal service of the Republic of China – in 1946 Number of employees: ~ 26,000
Parcels and mail are not delivered directly to the Republic of China – Taiwan as a state has achieved only partial international recognition. Therefore, all shipments go through third countries, most often through Japan. Within the island of Taiwan, which is 99% of the territory of the state, sending a letter will cost 5 New Taiwan dollars (17 US cents). Since the distances there are short, postmen use mopeds and motorcycles. Parcels are delivered in vans.
In addition to postal and courier services, Chunghwa Post also functions as a savings bank – employers can open payroll accounts there for their employees, and individuals can open savings books.
Mailboxes in Taiwanese cities are on the streets in pairs: red – for urgent items, green – for regular items. Each has two sections. For urgent, these are “air mail” and “fast delivery”, for regular – “local letters” and “sending by country”. Taiwanese Post does not have official iPhone applications, but there is a third-party add-on for Firefox that helps track parcels. In fact, it’s just a search plugin.

You can send a money transfer through the Ukrposhta website (if you have a National Electronic Payment System card or bank VISA / MasterCard), the message is sent to a physical address (45 Ukrainian kopecks per word, volume – up to 300 words), as well as through the site you can pay for the Internet and utilities. Ukrposhta actively advertises on the Internet a postcard exchange system, where the recipient’s address is given to the user at random.

NORWAY POSTOfficial name: Posten Norge ASEstablished: in 1647Number of employees: ~ 20,000
The Digipost system allows you to send emails to physical addresses. As conceived by the developers from Posten Norge, Digipost accounts should make it more convenient for Norwegians to work with official letters and summons so that even if a citizen’s physical address changes, he can still receive all the necessary correspondence from social services, banks, utilities and mobile operators. …Any citizen aged 15 and over with a national identification number (fødselsnummer) can register in the system. Companies also have to register.
Digipost has a mobile app that runs on iPhone and iPad. It can be used to archive and sort letters. Another application from Posten Norge – Posten Sporing – allows you to track parcels.

Japan continues to shake, the world goes into hysterics.
News feeds pop with reports of the situation in Japan. The number of guesses and guesses exceeds the amount of truly reliable information.
And Japan continues to shake. This morning, as Rian.ru reports, there was another powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 off the east coast of Japan. According to seismologists, the epicenter of the earthquake was 546 kilometers northeast of Tokyo, its focus lay at a depth of 25 kilometers.
The situation at the Fukushima-1 NPP is still catastrophic. The Japanese authorities took desperate measures. Two helicopters from the Japan Self-Defense Forces (SDF) dumped water on the third building of the damaged Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant, NHK reported.
Just today, information about the victims at the nuclear power plant was released. http://newsru.com reports that on Thursday the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) presented the first data on the injured liquidators. According to his calculations, about 40 people were injured in one way or another – despite the fact that in total at the station, as previously reported by the agency, now less than 200 people work. Two people disappeared altogether. The largest group of people – 17 people – suffered from the fallout of radioactive substances that fell on their faces. However, as RBC reports, citing information from the IAEA, they were not hospitalized. Another worker was seriously exposed to radiation and was taken out of the danger zone.
The head of the American Commission on Nuclear Regulation Gregory Yatsko also expressed his assumption about the situation in Japan. He believes that the consequences of the nuclear power plant accident in Japan are more serious than the Japanese authorities report. In his opinion, which he expressed in The New York Times, in the face of rising radiation levels, workers in the worst case may be forced to leave the station altogether, and then the spent fuel and overheating reactors can melt, which will further aggravate the situation.
Russia has its own opinion. RIA Novosti quotes the words of the first deputy director of the Kurchatov Institute research center, Yaroslav Shtrombakh. He believes that the events at the nuclear power plant in Japan will not develop according to a catastrophic scenario, but the situation is very difficult.Speaking about the possible maximally unfavorable development of the situation at the Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant that suffered from the disaster, he noted that this is the melting down of five cores (five reactors of the nuclear power plant). “And it seems that this cannot be avoided. But there will be no catastrophic scenario,” Strombach said.
In response to such close attention of the press to the global Japanese problem, the Japanese Foreign Ministry urged not to sow panic. In their appeal, representatives of the ministries asked foreign diplomats and officials monitoring the situation at the Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant (NPP) to clearly convey the information provided by the Japanese authorities regarding the development of events at the NPP and not to sow panic, news agencies report, citing Japanese NHK TV channel.
No fragrances or colorants. The menu of the popular network
is changingArtificial flavors and colors in food are the subject of heated debate and debate at various levels. Experts often note that such supplements are not particularly useful for the human body and it would be better for manufacturers and catering companies to refuse them if they want to provide the highest quality service. Quite a few spears have been broken around this. But more and more often, restaurants themselves are following the path of eliminating such additives from their menus.
For example, they completely removed artificial colors and flavors from the products of their main menu at McDonald’s in Russia. Artificial additives will no longer be found in dishes such as burgers, rolls, chicken products, french fries and country-style fries, and shrimp. This decision was made as part of a global program, according to which the company will gradually abandon such additives in its products all over the world. In addition, there are no flavor enhancers or GMOs in all products.
Products from the Russian enterprises of the chain have been tested for the content of artificial colors in an independent laboratory. Several categories of staple foods were selected for the study: beef patties, fries, chicken nuggets, and processed cheese and strawberry ice cream topping. The check was carried out in accordance with GOST for each product. According to the research results, no traces of artificial colors were found in the composition of these products.
“This is painstaking work with suppliers, leading players in the food industry, for whom the rejection of artificial flavors and colors in their products requires the development of a new recipe, sometimes – changes in production technology, and sometimes leads to the need to purchase a new piece of equipment or packaging. For more than 2 years, when developing any new products, our inherent requirement for the suppliers of ingredients that will be included in these products is the absence of artificial colors and flavors, – says Irina Korshunova, senior director of quality assurance and assurance and sustainable development. “Our joint efforts are taking the industry as a whole to a completely new level, which allows us to meet the expectations of consumers, for whom high-quality, natural and safe food is becoming an integral part of the modern lifestyle.”
In addition, by 2022, the corporation will change the Happy Meal program in 120 markets and become the first major foodservice company to set strategic goals not only to positively influence consumer purchases, but also to specifically increase their fruit consumption , vegetables, water, dairy products, and low-fat protein products.
The network of popular fast food outlets is one of the few companies in the catering industry in Russia that openly and transparently share detailed information about the composition and calorie content of their products, as well as the recommended daily calorie intake for products consumed. This information is always placed in the consumer’s corner in each enterprise of the network, on the company’s website, in the application, on individual packaging of products, as well as on receipts in the company’s own delivery service.
