Pre-Wentworth Achievements
Before joining Wentworth, Danny had already established himself as a talented lacrosse player. His high school career was marked by notable achievements:
- Named a league all-star
- Member of a high school team that reached the state finals
These early successes laid the foundation for Danny’s collegiate career and hinted at his potential to excel at the next level.
Danny’s Decision to Attend Wentworth
When choosing a college, Danny prioritized both his athletic pursuits and academic goals. He selected Wentworth Institute of Technology primarily for the quality of education it offers. This decision reflects Danny’s commitment to balancing his passion for lacrosse with his desire for academic excellence.
Academic and Athletic Aspirations
Danny’s future goals demonstrate his ambition and drive:
- Excel in lacrosse at the collegiate level
- Achieve Dean’s List status as a student
These objectives highlight Danny’s determination to succeed both on the field and in the classroom, embodying the true spirit of a student-athlete.
Contributions to Wentworth’s Lacrosse Program
During his time at Wentworth, Danny has made significant contributions to the men’s lacrosse team. His performance statistics showcase his impact:
- 8 games played
- 1 goal scored
- 1 assist provided
While these numbers offer a glimpse into Danny’s on-field performance, they don’t fully capture his leadership, teamwork, and overall influence on the program.
Notable Team Achievements
Danny has been part of several team accomplishments during his tenure at Wentworth:
- Helping the team secure its first Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) win of the season
- Contributing to a victory over rival Curry College
These team successes demonstrate the collective effort and Danny’s role in Wentworth’s competitive lacrosse program.

Danny’s hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed. He has received several accolades for his performance both as an athlete and a student:

This prestigious honor is awarded to senior student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom, showcasing Danny’s well-rounded approach to his college career.
Personal Background and Support System
Behind every successful athlete is a strong support system, and Danny is no exception. His family plays a crucial role in his life and athletic journey:
- Parents: Michael and Anna Bartosiewicz
- Siblings: Brother Patrick and sister Elizabeth
This family support undoubtedly contributes to Danny’s ability to balance the demands of being a student-athlete at Wentworth.
Personal Interests
While lacrosse and academics take up much of Danny’s time, he also has personal interests that round out his character:
- Favorite food: Chicken Parmesan
This small detail offers a glimpse into Danny’s life off the field and adds a personal touch to his athletic profile.
Impact on Wentworth’s Lacrosse Program
Danny Bartosiewicz’s presence on the Wentworth men’s lacrosse team has been felt beyond his individual statistics. His contributions have helped shape the program’s success and culture:
Team Leadership
As a senior member of the team, Danny has likely taken on a leadership role, helping to guide younger players and set a positive example both on and off the field. This type of veteran presence is invaluable for collegiate sports programs.
Competitive Spirit
Danny’s experience playing in high-stakes games, such as state finals in high school, has likely brought a competitive edge to Wentworth’s team. This mentality can be contagious and help elevate the performance of the entire squad.
Program Growth
Throughout Danny’s tenure, Wentworth’s lacrosse program has shown signs of growth and improvement. While individual games may have presented challenges, the team’s ability to secure conference wins and compete against strong opponents indicates progress.
Balancing Athletics and Academics
One of the most impressive aspects of Danny Bartosiewicz’s college career is his ability to excel both as an athlete and as a student. This balance is not easily achieved and speaks volumes about his character and work ethic.
Time Management Skills
Juggling the demands of collegiate athletics with a rigorous academic program requires exceptional time management skills. Danny’s success in both areas suggests he has mastered this crucial life skill.
Academic Support at Wentworth
Wentworth Institute of Technology likely provides support systems for student-athletes to help them succeed academically. Danny’s achievements indicate he has taken full advantage of these resources while maintaining his commitment to lacrosse.
Preparing for the Future
By prioritizing both his sport and his studies, Danny is setting himself up for success after college, whether he pursues lacrosse at a higher level or enters the professional world in his chosen field of study.
Danny’s Legacy at Wentworth
As Danny Bartosiewicz’s college career comes to a close, it’s worth considering the legacy he leaves behind at Wentworth Institute of Technology:
Athletic Inspiration
Danny’s journey from high school standout to collegiate all-conference player serves as an inspiration for future Wentworth lacrosse recruits. His success demonstrates the potential for growth and achievement within the program.
Academic Role Model
By earning academic honors alongside his athletic achievements, Danny sets an example for his teammates and future student-athletes at Wentworth. He shows that it’s possible to excel in both areas without compromising either.
Program Development
Danny’s contributions to Wentworth’s lacrosse program, both in terms of on-field performance and off-field leadership, have helped establish a foundation for future success. The team’s competitive showings against conference rivals and ability to secure key victories indicate a program on the rise.
As Danny Bartosiewicz prepares to move on from Wentworth, he leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and success both on and off the lacrosse field. His journey serves as a testament to the values of perseverance, balance, and commitment to excellence that define the best of collegiate athletics.

„Polecam z czystym sumieniem”

„Przyjemna, konkretna i owocna współpraca”
Serdecznie polecam!

“It’s in my blood” # Armwrestling # Armpower.net
“A stately man approached me at the Stargard-Szczecinski championship,” recalls David Bartosiewicz, a Polish armwrestler and silver medalist in the 75 kg world championship in 2013. – And, grinning, he said to me: “What kind of rivalry is this, I would have laid you all down, I never lost!” Someone told him to wrestle with me. He just laughed: I then weighed 66 kg, he is about twice as much. Someone asked: “Why laugh? Try!” Well, he tried. After a quick defeat, he did not even want to watch the competition, he just left.
Who is David Bartosevich? He is an economist by education, but when he was little, he wanted to be … someone famous.
“A musician, an artist, but not a fireman or a policeman,” says David. “I have been interested in sports all my life. Since childhood, he jumped, threw stones, played football and was one of the best in the yard. On physical-re was always in the forefront.
He became interested in arm wrestling in high school.
– It is clear that all this was at the school level. We fought with each other, with peers, but even then I was the best at school, says David. – I realized that during the fight you need to wrap in a hook. It was my natural reflex, it was in my blood.
He began to seriously engage in armwrestling in 2003 thanks to Artur Glowiński, one of the leaders of the Polish armwrestling.
“Arthur is my distant relative, and once at one of the family meetings we decided to wrestle,” says Bartosevich. – He persuaded me to train. At first, my brother and I wrestled on the shoe cabinet, with the other hand we held on to the corner of the furniture. Later we made a real countertop and picked up the legs. All the equipment we had was homemade: a block with simple ropes, a bench, dumbbells. But it’s not about the equipment, it’s about the enthusiasm. Even later, when I worked at my brother’s construction company, as soon as I saw scaffolding or a beater – anything you could grab onto – I would grab and pull myself up, hang, do various tricks, climb walls, even on the bus on the rails! That’s my instinct.
David took up professional training in January 2004.
– In April, I already participated in my first competition – the Polish Championship. And immediately took first place in juniors on the right hand, second – on the left and third place in the senior category on the right hand. Since then, I continue to travel to local and national competitions, constantly bring medals, get into the top three. So I was recruited, maybe because the success came so quickly, says the armwrestler. – Wrestling gave me emotions that no other sport gives, my heart was pounding with excitement.
The first problems came with the first injuries.
“I started wringing my hands literally six months later,” says David. – In January, I broke my left arm during the Gdynia Championship on the occasion of the Big Orchestra of Holiday Aid, wrestling with a guy from Lębork, because I blocked badly and my elbow could not stand it. In April, at the Polish Championships, I broke my right hand in the senior final, in July I broke my right hand again. The struggle was long, a second before the fracture, I felt that something was wrong.
Since then, if something crackles at the enemy, then Bartosevich is thrown away as if scalded.
“Bad memories,” David laughs.
Despite everything, he continues to fight on. After removing the cast from his right hand and a month’s break, he went to the third Professional League with twisted arms. The most interesting thing is that he won the League with the pros, being an amateur. After three weeks, inspired by the success, he went to the fourth League and in a fight with Tomasz Szewczyk again broke his right hand.
– There was also a dislocation of the elbow, but I was so depressed that I did not pay attention to it – today David speaks of this with irony, but then everything was different. – But as soon as one of the spectators saw the fracture, he lost consciousness and fell with his chin on the edge of the table. He went with me to the hospital in an ambulance: he for sutures on his beard, and I for a cast. We laughed a little.
Bartosevich felt so confident that he changed the weight category from 63 kg to 70 kg.
“It was 2007,” says David. – In January in the 63 kg category I won the League, and in April I participated in the Polish Championship in the 70 kg category. There I defeated everyone in the left and right hands and I remember that at that time there were the best athletes in this category. I overcame Daniel Gaida – it was something. I was well known…
David Bartosevich has been practicing for 10 years. How does he see himself in the future?
– When I started doing arm, there were 10 athletes around me. At first, everyone defeated me, after six months of hard training, great progress was noticeable. But when I started training, I still didn’t know if I would find myself in this sport, – Bartosevich was puzzled. – Over the years, winning more and more titles, I was convinced that this is what I will be good at. And so I became the vice-champion of the world. I compare this with previous years, when I took part in Nemiroff twice, not being such a professional athlete as I am today. I trained the way I wanted to. And today I have a diet, regular workouts. I analyze what I should focus on.
The most important achievement for David was silver at the World Championships in 2013.
– The 75 kg category was strong, many European and world champions competed in it, – says David. – I felt the weight of this medal, because it was really difficult to get it. I have fought athletes who have been at the forefront of armwrestling for years.
What are the dreams of one of the best Polish armwrestlers? Signing a contract with a good federation, which would guarantee the athlete a certain number of fights per year and certain money.
“I would like to keep the first positions,” David dreams. “I would also like arm wrestling to be covered in the media, for people to talk about it, and to change the approach to the sport. Today, arm wrestling is often perceived as something frivolous, a fight in a pub. I think every athlete wants their sport to be respected.
I ask David to give advice for beginners – and it sounds one, but useful.
