Early life

Eliza Dushku was born in Watertown, Massachusetts.She currently resides in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles. She is the daughter of Philip R. Dushku, an Albanian-American administrator and teacher at Boston Public Schools, and his ex-wife Judith, a university administrator and professor at Suffolk University, who is Danish-American through both grandfathers and Anglo-American through her grandmothers. … Dushku attended Beaver Country Day (literal National Beaver Day ) in Chestnut Hill (literal Chestnut Hill ) and graduated from Watertown High School, Massachusetts as a teenager. She has three older brothers, Aaron, Benjamin (born February 5, 1976), and Nathan (born June 8, 1977, Boston, Massachusetts), the latter is a model and actor. Her parents divorced when she was still a baby.

Early career

Dushku caught the attention of casting agents when she was just 10 years old. She was selected after five months of searching across the country for the role of Alice opposite Juliet Lewis in The Same Night (1992). In 1993, Eliza starred in This Boy’s Life opposite Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio, and this role opened the door for her to great cinema.The following year, she played the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis in True Lies. In 1995, she played the daughter of Paul Reiser in the film Goodbye Love.

After that Eliza took a short break to finish school. She was accepted at George Washington University in Washington and Suffolk University in Boston, where her mother is a professor.

Later roles

After graduating from high school, Eliza returned to the screens as Faith in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Initially, only five episodes were planned in which Dushku would appear in this role, but her character became so popular that she remained on the series until the end of the third season, and then also appeared in two parts of the fourth season. She returned at the end of Season 7 to film the series finale.

In 2000, Dushku appeared in the film Bring It On with Kirsten Dunst. The film was expected to be a huge success and good sales on DVD, followed by a sequel specifically for DVD, but Eliza was no longer filmed there.In 2001, Kevin Smith invited Dushka to star in his comedy Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, in which she starred with stars such as Shannon Elizabeth, Eli Larter, Ben Affleck and many others. In 2003, Eliza starred in Wrong Turn, where she already had a real starring role.
