What are the best cheer camps in Pennsylvania. How can cheerleaders benefit from attending these camps. Which camp offers the most comprehensive training experience. Where can aspiring cheerleaders find elite instruction in Pennsylvania.
The Rise of Elite Cheerleading: Pioneering Private Cheer Camps
Elite Cheerleading, founded in 1982 by Michael Nuzzo, revolutionized the cheerleading industry by introducing the concept of private cheer camps. This innovative approach has proven to be more effective, convenient, and cost-efficient than traditional large-scale camps. Today, private camps account for over 30% of all summer cheer camps, showcasing the enduring appeal of this personalized instruction model.
The company’s growth has been remarkable. From teaching 400 cheerleaders in its inaugural summer, Elite now instructs thousands of students annually. Their staff, comprised of some of the nation’s finest cheerleaders, travels extensively to conduct hundreds of private camps across the country.
The Elite Advantage: University-Level Expertise
What sets Elite Cheerleading apart from other camp providers? The founders’ extensive experience coaching the University of Pittsburgh Cheerleaders & Dance Team has been instrumental in shaping their curriculum. Under their guidance, these squads have consistently placed in the top ten at national collegiate competitions, even securing three consecutive All-Girl Division championships from 1992 to 1994—an unprecedented achievement at the time.
This ongoing involvement with university-level cheerleading ensures that Elite’s curriculum remains cutting-edge, incorporating the latest styles and techniques in the cheerleading and dance industry. As a result, campers benefit from instruction that is both current and proven effective at the highest levels of competition.
Camp Woodward: A Multi-Sport Training Paradise
While Elite Cheerleading focuses exclusively on cheer, Camp Woodward offers a unique multi-sport experience that has gained worldwide recognition. Located in central Pennsylvania, this summer camp and school for high-energy sports has become a mecca for aspiring athletes across various disciplines.
Duane Adams, a 43-year-old cheerleader coach from Columbus, Ohio, who works at Camp Woodward for three weeks each summer, describes it as “the best place on earth” and “the greatest summer camp ever.” This sentiment is echoed by campers and staff alike, who are drawn to the camp’s state-of-the-art facilities and expert instruction.
Unparalleled Facilities and Safety Measures
Camp Woodward’s commitment to providing the best possible training environment is evident in its facilities. Hayden Ward, a 12-year-old camper from Mobile, Alabama, notes the impressive number of coaches on hand and the abundance of mats to ensure athlete safety. “We have every single mat they ever made,” she enthuses.
This emphasis on safety and quality equipment is no accident. Camp Woodward has a special partnership with a Pennsylvania mat company, allowing them to stay at the forefront of sports training across a dozen different disciplines. The camp’s origins in gymnastics during the 1970s have evolved to include BMX biking, skateboarding, and a constantly expanding curriculum to maintain relevance in the ever-changing world of extreme sports.
Expert Instruction from Olympians and Industry Leaders
How does Camp Woodward attract such high-caliber instructors? Jimbo Kelliher, a former camper who now serves as the cheer director, reveals that “in gymnastics alone, we have Olympians here every week, or every other week, or past Olympians that come in to train some of the best gymnasts.” This level of expertise extends across all disciplines, including cheerleading.
The presence of world-class athletes and coaches creates an inspiring environment for campers. They have the opportunity to learn from and train alongside some of the most accomplished individuals in their respective sports, pushing their own boundaries and aspirations higher.
The Camp Woodward Experience: Beyond Training
What makes Camp Woodward truly special is its ability to combine intense training with an unforgettable camp experience. Kelliher shares an anecdote that captures this spirit: “I saw someone post the other day, a camper that comes here for the last couple years: whoever said Disney is the happiest place on earth is wrong, ’cause I’m going to Camp Woodward again this year.”
This sentiment is shared by campers like Hayden Ward, who describes Woodward as “The best sports camp in the world. It has everything!” The camp’s ability to maintain a fun, engaging atmosphere 24 hours a day, even while providing rigorous training, sets it apart from other sports camps.
Expanding the Woodward Legacy
The success of Camp Woodward’s model has led to expansion beyond its original Pennsylvania location. Currently, there are four Camp Woodwards in the United States, with three more under construction, including two in other countries. This global growth demonstrates the universal appeal of Woodward’s approach to sports training and camp experiences.
Choosing the Right Cheer Camp: Factors to Consider
When selecting a cheer camp in Pennsylvania, aspiring cheerleaders and their families should consider several factors:
- Training focus: Does the camp specialize in cheerleading, or is it part of a multi-sport program?
- Instructor expertise: What are the qualifications and experience levels of the coaching staff?
- Facilities: Are the training areas well-equipped and maintained with safety in mind?
- Camp size: Would you prefer a large camp with diverse peer groups or a more intimate, personalized experience?
- Duration: Are you looking for a day camp, weekend intensive, or longer residential program?
- Additional activities: Does the camp offer other enrichment opportunities beyond cheer training?
By carefully evaluating these aspects, cheerleaders can find the camp that best aligns with their goals and preferences.
The Impact of Cheer Camps on Skill Development and Personal Growth
Attending a high-quality cheer camp can have a profound impact on a cheerleader’s development, both in terms of athletic skills and personal growth. These intensive training experiences offer numerous benefits:
- Rapid skill acquisition: Concentrated practice time allows for accelerated learning and refinement of techniques.
- Exposure to new styles: Campers often encounter different cheering styles and routines, broadening their repertoire.
- Confidence building: Overcoming challenges and mastering new skills boosts self-esteem and performance confidence.
- Teamwork and socialization: Camps provide opportunities to collaborate with peers from diverse backgrounds, fostering important social skills.
- Physical conditioning: Intense training regimens improve overall fitness and athleticism.
- Mental toughness: Pushing through difficult routines and long practice sessions develops resilience and determination.
- Network building: Connections made at camp can lead to lasting friendships and potential future opportunities in the cheerleading world.
These benefits extend far beyond the cheer mat, contributing to personal development that serves cheerleaders well in all aspects of their lives.
Preparing for Cheer Camp: Tips for Success
To maximize the cheer camp experience, participants should arrive prepared. Here are some essential tips:
- Condition before camp: Engage in cardio and strength training to build stamina for long, intense practice sessions.
- Review basic skills: Refresh fundamental techniques to hit the ground running at camp.
- Pack appropriately: Bring multiple practice outfits, supportive shoes, and any required gear specified by the camp.
- Stay hydrated: Bring a reusable water bottle and prioritize hydration throughout the camp.
- Set goals: Identify specific skills or areas of improvement to focus on during the camp.
- Maintain a positive attitude: Approach challenges with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Rest and recover: Ensure adequate sleep and downtime to support physical and mental well-being during intense training periods.
By following these guidelines, cheerleaders can position themselves for a rewarding and transformative camp experience.
The Future of Cheer Camps in Pennsylvania
As the cheerleading industry continues to evolve, so too will the landscape of cheer camps in Pennsylvania. The success of pioneering programs like Elite Cheerleading and the multi-sport approach of Camp Woodward suggests a trend towards more specialized, high-quality training experiences.
We may see an increase in camps that integrate technology, such as video analysis tools or virtual reality training modules, to enhance skill development. Additionally, there could be a greater emphasis on holistic athlete development, incorporating nutrition education, mental health support, and career guidance for those aspiring to cheer at collegiate or professional levels.
The growing recognition of cheerleading as a competitive sport may also lead to more intensive, year-round training programs that blur the line between traditional summer camps and dedicated athletic academies. This evolution could provide even more opportunities for Pennsylvania’s cheerleaders to reach their full potential and compete at the highest levels.

And one thing instructors and campers seem most proud about, is that they keep it fun, 24 hours a day.
Kelliher adds, “I saw someone post the other day, a camper that comes here for the last couple years: who ever said disney is the happiest place on earth is wrong, ’cause I’m going to camp Woodward again this year.”
As Hayden Ward completes a double full, ahead of schedule, she couldn’t agree more.

How Donald Trump’s Flight 93 ended – Russia in global affairs
Trump’s presidency has ended. Now finally – not at the time of Joseph Biden’s inauguration, but when the retroactive impeachment did not take place. As they say now, the gestalt is closed. All further actions – the persecution of Trump for various political and economic reasons, his new political positioning, the creation of an alternative party or the struggle for control over the Republican, even the intention to re-run for the presidency – is another chapter. Flight 93 has completed its flight.
Recall where the metaphor came from.United Airlines Flight 93 en route from Newark to San Francisco and became the fourth aircraft hijacked by terrorists on September 11, 2001. According to the official version, the passengers, realizing the intentions of the attackers (the target was either the Capitol or the White House), tried to recapture the control cabin, the liner crashed in Pennsylvania. All died, but al-Qaeda (banned in the Russian Federation) failed to implement the plan.
In the fall of 2016, The Claremont Review of Books , published by the conservative Institut Clermont, published the article “Elections as Flight 93”.Michael Anton, a conservative publicist who previously served on the teams of George W. Bush and New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, likened the 2016 election to Flight 93, a desperate attempt to stave off the suicidal left-wing liberal course America would face if Hillary Clinton wins. “Through our own foolishness, we Americans once made the choice to destroy the unity of our country through idiotic immigration, economic and foreign policies. We will never restore the level of unity that America boasted before the supra-partisan junta took over. But we can at least try to improve the situation. ”
In November 2016, the cockpit was indeed captured. A group of brave suicide bombers, led by an impulsive leader, grabbed the steering wheel and for the next four years flew the plane, not really understanding how to fly it. During this time, the course has changed quite noticeably. America disappeared from many familiar radars, and political dispatchers around the world nervously tried to guess where this enraged, from the point of view of most observers, ship was headed.
And now the board crashed into the ground. Trump, terribly annoyed that the events of 2020 took away from him a victory that was almost guaranteed back in January, ended up with a big scandal. What he wanted to achieve by holding a rally in Washington and insisting that the election was stolen is not entirely clear. As a result, a kamikaze divertissement took place, scaring off part of the conservative establishment from Trump, and in general, the performance in the Capitol embarrassed many. In general, the landing was hard. The failure of the second impeachment, while interpreted by Trump’s supporters as his triumph, is not.Unless the Trumpists can gloat that the political bacchanalia is leading to the creeping discrediting of the institutions themselves.
Heaven and Earth. Air of the program “International Review” of February 12, 2021
Fyodor Lukyanov
The first time Trump was impeached, it is worth repeating. How to fire someone who has already left the position? In Latin America, the pandemic has led to a political reshuffle.Mars has a pandemonium of spacecraft built on Earth: three probes fly to the Red Planet at once. What is happening on Earth and in space? Watch the broadcast of the program “International Review” with Fedor Lukyanov.
More details
So still, if we go back to Anton’s reasoning, how did the seizure of the cockpit end? Did the daredevils manage to change their suicidal course? Or did the heroes die in vain? Anton himself, by the way, worked for a year and a half in the White House, but then left, tired of Trump’s escapades and disillusioned with him.
The election results are subject to ambiguous interpretation. On the one hand, Biden received a record number of votes in his support (let us put aside the innuendo about manipulation and stolen votes, since they will now forever remain in the category of political apocrypha). On the other hand, Trump exceeded his 2016 result and, in principle, could have won if the circumstances in a couple of states were a little different. Trump’s support is particularly weighty given the catastrophic fallout from the pandemic, with which the White House has never figured out what to do.That is, by normal standards, the president, under whom this is happening in the country, should have lost with a bang, which did not happen. And if there were no contagion, re-election, most likely, would have become almost automatic.
But more importantly, at the end of Trump’s four-year period, the Democrats gained full control over the executive and legislative branches for at least two years. In an article in 2016, Anton warned that Hillary Clinton’s victory would be “a pedal to the floor for the entire progressive left agenda”, those who disagree will face moral and political terror, when Americans will try to impose values typical of “only the Scandinavian countries or the most leftist areas in Great Britain. or Germany. “Now this is happening, since the riots on Capitol Hill in Washington gave a pretext.
According to the stated intentions, the Biden administration promises to be the most progressive in the history of the United States. The latest news is another embodied conservative nightmare: Biden still intends to give citizenship to 11 million illegal immigrants located in the United States. The Republicans have long been ringing the alarm: too generous immigration policies are aimed at ensuring that their party simply never has an arithmetical chance of winning.
In general, for a number of parameters, the death of the Trumpist crew looks pointless. But there is no need to rush to conclusions. The extraordinary (on the verge of insane) circumstances of the last elections made it possible to demonstrate the potential of the “red”, republican America, which manifested itself not thanks to, but in spite of.
The same Michael Anton, now much less provocative than five years ago, published an interesting article in January in the conservative The American Mind .He argues with another prominent Conservative Christopher Caldwell. The latter expressed concern that the “dynamic” America, represented by the liberal-democratic part of society, considers the reactionary, “backward” part of the country to be an exceptionally obstacle to successful development and will do everything to neutralize and “digest” it. And since the blues are really more active, the pressure will be powerful. That is, overcoming the split that Biden is talking about is seen as a takeover, not a merger. This means a new round of confrontation, most likely more destructive.
Anton agrees that this is exactly what the advocates of progress intend, but he doubts their feasibility. In his opinion, the “blue” part of the country, which really looks more advanced and anticipating the future, is in fact inextricably linked with the retrograde “red” (Caldwell also calls it “boring”) and is very dependent on it. It is the “boring” America that creates the material basis of what the “dynamic” America gushes on with ideas and special effects. The Reds do not produce the virtual, but the real – from cars to food, and also consume ephemeral products of the “creative class”, which are now symbolized by financial schemes, tech giants and all kinds of media.
Both conservative observers agree that the end of the Trump era, no matter how scandalous it may seem, is the beginning of a fundamental process, the outcome of which is unknown. Caldwell also draws attention to the extreme heterogeneity of the victorious camp, united only by hatred of Trump and his supporters. The union of the establishment and the left wing of the Democrats is very fragile, the latter already feel deprived as a result of the distribution of portfolios in the administration. In fact, only Vice-President Kamala Harris can be directly attributed to progressives, all other posts went to representatives of the mainstream, although the choice carefully observed gender and ethnic balance. Biden himself seeks to compensate for this imbalance, adopting the bright slogans of the left wing, but, most likely, disappointment there will still be aggravated.
Donald Trump showed the world the other United States. It is believed that the damage to the country’s international image has been monstrous, and all efforts will now be thrown into fixing it.At the level of rhetoric, this is happening.
Just as it was important for Trump to be reminded all the time that he is not Obama, Biden never tires of emphasizing to what extent he is anti-Trump.
A series of flamboyant gestures, such as returning to the Paris Climate Agreement or refusing to cut the American contingent in Germany, are intended to cement the notion of a radical turn in US foreign policy back to normal.
However, if we shake off the superficial and ostentatious, it turns out that the foreign policy course under Biden will not change dramatically. The line of confrontation with China is constant, the current fluctuations do not change the essence. With Russia, of course, everything is also stable. Trump’s Middle East course in fact looks like no alternative, even if friendship with Israel and Saudi Arabia will no longer be “passionate”, as under Jared Kushner. Within NATO, two previous questions remain: how to make Europe pay more, and what, in fact, are the real tasks of the alliance. Etc. The oath of allegiance to international institutions is limited by their ever-diminishing effectiveness.Even in the area of free trade, for the disrespect for which Trump was especially fiercely fired, a return to the old canons is impossible – the world is already different.
Of course, Donald Trump’s unique style – a mix of a business negotiator with the first guy in the village – goes away with him. But his polished replacements will willingly take advantage of the fruits, fears that something like Trump will return, will force external partners to be on the alert and more accommodating.
Concluding his discussion of the two Americas — the traditional “red” and the “blue” dynamic, Michael Anton writes: “Ultimately, my hypothesis is that dynamism actually needs tradition much more than vice versa. It is even possible that the tradition does not need dynamism at all, because, in general, it will be satisfied with a life that is a little less prosperous and with a slow wifa, and maybe even completely without it. ” Sounds retrograde, of course, against the backdrop of the ubiquitous online triumph of the digital world. But after 2020, which has demonstrated that anything is possible at any moment, no one has the right to insist on a single version of the future. The most popular technology in the world, penetrating all areas, has become the drone. And “Flight 93” flies on – by itself.

The Russian-American agenda disappears. The nuclear sphere will no longer be able to be the foundation of diplomatic relations between Moscow and Washington, as it has been for decades. The way out of the impasse is to keep contacts to the required minimum. This will last until the parties find new value in the relationship and realize how they can be useful to each other.

90,000 Athletic scholarships at US universities
Sports scholarships from the US University are an opportunity for free or almost free to get higher education in the States, while doing your favorite sport at the highest level.
Sports are an important part of the American education system. Each higher educational institution in the United States provides its wards with the opportunity not only intellectual, but also physical development. At the service of students – fully equipped sports and gymnasiums, stadiums, tennis courts, golf courses, swimming pools and other elements of the sports infrastructure.
I must say that the attitude to physical education in US universities is more than serious.Students not only periodically visit the pool or do a circle or two on a treadmill, they purposefully engage in this or that sport, participate in interuniversity competitions, and win prizes.
By the way, university team competitions are a big source of income for educational institutions. For example, tickets for an intercollegiate American football game cost between $ 50 and $ 100. Both students themselves and local residents come to watch the competition.
However, for university games to be popular with spectators, the participating teams must demonstrate a high level of professionalism. In other words, universities need strong athletes. That is why some of the money earned from competitions goes to providing sports scholarships at universities.
Since higher education in the United States costs a lot of money, scholarships that fully or partially cover the cost of education are an excellent way to attract to the university those children who distinguished themselves in the sports field at school, which means that they will be able to glorify their alma mater in the future.
33 sports at 1,500 US universities
There are 33 sports for which you can get an athletic scholarship in the United States:
|
|
About 1,500 higher education institutions participate in the sports scholarship program in the United States.
Benefits of getting a sports scholarship
There are 2 types of US sports scholarships:
- Full Ride Scholarship covers the student-athlete’s expenses not only for university studies, but also for food and accommodation. In some cases, the full ride scholarship includes the cost of insurance.
- Partial sports scholarship (partial scholarship) covers tuition costs (either 100% or 50-90%).The student pays for accommodation and meals on his own.
The amount of the scholarship is determined individually based on the level of sports and academic training of the applicant.
In addition to the obvious advantage in the form of financial support, a sports scholarship provides a number of other advantages:
- Unlike an ordinary applicant from Russia, an athlete does not need to spend time and money on preparatory courses – to make up for the missing year of school. A certificate of 11 grades of education is enough to get a sports scholarship and enter an American university.
- SAT and TOEFL score requirements for athletes are lower than for other students, which greatly simplifies the admission procedure. For example, at the University of Miami, an ordinary student must pass SAT for 1200-1300 points, TOEFL for 80 points, an athlete – SAT for 700-900 points, TOEFL for 60-70 points. GPA for an ordinary student is 3.5-4.0 points, for an athlete – 2.8-3.5 points.
- For both full and partial scholarships, university sports expenses (equipment from top sports manufacturers such as Nike and Adidas; personal nutritionist; away games, etc.)are paid by the athletic department of the university.
- Participation in guest games is a great opportunity to travel around the United States, to get to know the culture of the country better. In between competitions and training, athletes will have a rich cultural program: excursions to historical sights, visits to museums and restaurants. All this is, again, at the expense of the university.
How do I get a sports scholarship to study at a US university?
Requirements for candidates applying for an athletic scholarship at an American university differ depending on the age of the athlete.

US universities have the following requirements for applicants for sports scholarships:
Age
American Collegiate Sports Associations – NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association), NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics), NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association), which supervise university competitions, do not formally impose age restrictions on athletes. However, in practice, it is quite difficult for a student over 23 years old to receive a scholarship. The optimal age of the applicant is from 15 to 20 years. We highly recommend to start looking for a scholarship 2 years before leaving school or on the 1-2 year of study at a Russian university – this significantly increases the chances of finding the best option and calmly preparing for passing all the necessary tests.
Knowledge of English
For a foreigner, a prerequisite for admission to an American university is a good knowledge of English.Universities accept TOEFL test scores as proof of language proficiency. As mentioned above, the passing scores for athletes are usually lower than for all other applicants – this greatly facilitates the admission process.
Academic performance
US universities are interested in the academic performance of an athlete – however, the requirements for an athlete’s grades are much softer than for an average applicant’s GPA. A graduate of a Russian school will need the result of the SAT academic test, a certificate, as well as a list of grades for grades 8-11.If a student of a Russian higher education institution enters an American university, instead of the SAT results, he must submit a certificate from his university, indicating the number of hours and grades in the disciplines passed. At the same time, American universities are only interested in exam results, credits are not accepted.
Sports achievements
Of course, the main criterion for the selection of student athletes is their athletic achievements, as reflected in a special athletic resume. The specialists of the Global Dialogue company will help you to draw up this document competently.
How does Global Dialogue help in obtaining sports scholarships?
The procedure for obtaining a sports scholarship with the help of Global Dialogue is as follows:
- At the preliminary stage, the company’s specialists get to know the athlete and his parents, analyze his chances of receiving funding: which universities should be chosen, what type of scholarship is awaiting the student.
- After the acquaintance has taken place, the athlete receives instructions in which it is detailed what documents he needs to collect and how to draw them up correctly so that the Global Dialogue manager can continue to work. Instructions from Global Dialogue include:
- instructions for filming a video (if necessary) – requirements for length, plot, etc.
- information on registration for SAT and TOEFL tests;
- instruction on school documents;
- Instruction for Registration with Athletic Associations.
90,023 sample resume detailing athletic performance;
If the applicant is in Moscow, the Global Dialog specialist will fill in and send the documents. If the applicant lives in another region, then the manager of the company advises the client on the issues of sending papers.
- Having received all the necessary papers from the athlete, as well as copies of Russian and foreign passports, Global Dialogue draws up a client’s athletic profile and sends it to the university coaches database.
- After receiving several answers, the student receives the contacts of the trainers and enters into correspondence with them. After talking with the athlete, the coach decides whether he is ready to take this person to his team, and if so, on what conditions (size and type of scholarship).
- While the applicant is in correspondence with the coaches, Global Dialogue is clarifying the specific requirements for applicants-athletes at the selected universities. At the same stage, the athlete begins to prepare for passing the tests.
- When the tests are passed, the student is finally determined with the university to which he will go, apply for admission and sign a scholarship contract.
- Finally, having received the i-20 (document confirming admission to the university), with the help of the Global Dialogue manager, the athlete issues a student visa and goes to study.
After receiving sports scholarship
An athletic scholarship is one of the most stable types of funding available to a student at an American university. Unlike the academic scholarship, which can be lost for absenteeism or academic failure, the sports scholarship is allocated for the entire period of study at the university – 4 years and it is quite difficult to lose it.As a rule, athletes are deprived of funding only for egregious violations of the terms of the contract.
Athletes are allowed to skip classes during away games, and if their performance falls due to competition, they are offered free tutor assistance. Foreign athletes are also helped to learn the language and have a simplified timetable. By the way, if an athlete gets injured, which does not allow him to continue playing for the team, the university will pay for treatment. The scholarship will continue to be paid for the entire remaining period of study – these are the conditions of the athletic contract.
In addition, playing sports at the university opens up excellent prospects for professional implementation for the graduate. After graduation, an athlete who has proven himself in intercollegiate competitions can continue his sports career or choose a coach job.
Many famous athletes began climbing the sports Olympus as part of the university team: basketball player Michael Jordan played for the University of North Carolina, golfer Tiger Woods played for Stanford University, and footballer Dwayne Johnson once represented the University of Miami.
By the way, participation in interuniversity competitions will be useful for those who are not going to associate their life with sports. Aspiring, team-oriented athletes are highly regarded by recruiters around the world, regardless of the company’s field of activity.

90,000 Trump and Clinton won the New York primaries
Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and businessman Donald Trump triumphed in key primaries held in New York on Tuesday, allowing both to consolidate their shaky leadership in the race.
For the former first lady, 57 percent of the Democratic supporters voted, while her main and only rival in the Democratic nomination, Senator Bernard Sanders, received about 43 percent. For Clinton, the victory in New York also had a psychological meaning, because she represented this state in the Senate, and her campaign headquarters is located in Brooklyn, so voting was considered her home vote. “Today you have proved that nothing beats a house!” The ex-secretary of state said to her supporters.“In this campaign, we won in different regions … But this is personal!” It is noteworthy that in her speech she avoided attacks in the direction of Sanders, but rather again demonstrated confidence in victory and aim at the main elections, criticizing Republican opponents.
Before New York, Sanders won a series of victories in the primaries, which, however, did not allow him to significantly reduce the gap with Clinton in the fight for the votes of the party congress delegates, which will determine the fate of the nomination. He also needed a win in New York in order to seriously turn the course of the race.To do this, Sanders must not just win, but win in large and demographically diverse states such as New York, and preferably by a large margin. Unfortunately for the senator’s supporters, this did not happen.
Clinton has now strengthened her leadership. Taking into account the intermediate results from New York, she still has 1,893 delegate and superdelegate votes, while Sanders has 1,180 (to win, the Democratic candidate needs to enlist the support of 2,383 delegates – WG).
Nevertheless, the competitor’s triumphs certainly demonstrated Clinton’s vulnerability as a candidate.Increasingly, local experts are wondering whether she will then be able to unite the Democrats around her and attract Sanders’ supporters to her camp in the main elections. His unwillingness to capitulate so far deprives her of the opportunity to “build bridges” with his considerable electorate.
Donald Trump, the leader of the Republican struggle, also celebrated a “personal” victory in the “imperial state”. Coming from New York, where he made his fortune in real estate and construction, the businessman is considered the personification of the city: wealthy, extravagant, enviable, constantly in the focus of media and public attention, and not always from the best side.In the New York primaries, Trump, who has dominated two dozen states, for the first time managed to break through the psychologically important 50 percent support level. About 60 percent of the voters cast their votes for him. This is especially important because, thanks to the rules of the state, Trump will thus receive the support of almost all delegates from New York – 89 out of 95. 15 percent of the vote.
Trump’s speech of victory, speaking from the headquarters of his business empire on Fifth Avenue, surprised. The businessman, known for his harsh remarks and previously nicknamed Cruz “Lying Ted”, this time with restraint called him “Senator Cruz” and generally tried to look more respectable. “This is a great week,” the jubilant businessman said. “Senator Cruz has practically lost his mathematical chance.”
The victory has become important against the background of Trump’s recent difficulties. In recent weeks, scandalous statements, including the idea of punishment for abortion, have damaged his ratings. In parallel, the tycoon suffered a series of disappointing defeats from Cruise’s more organized and streamlined campaign in the undercover struggle to select delegates to the party congress.
As noted by Trump, for Cruise, the path to victory through the primaries is now practically cut off – for this, the senator needs to win almost all the remaining votes of the delegates, which is akin to a miracle. Also remaining in the race, Governor John Keysik lost his mathematical chances long ago.Now both of Trump’s rivals and his many detractors in the ranks of the party elite hope to prevent the tycoon himself from gaining the coveted majority. For a guaranteed victory, it is necessary not only to finish first, but to gain 50 percent plus one vote in the primaries – 1237 delegates. So far, Trump has 845 votes, Cruz – 559, Keysik – 147. Until the end of the season, the votes of another 734 delegates will be played, and so far the tycoon’s chances of getting an absolute majority are estimated by experts as 50-50.
If none of the candidates succeeds in collecting 1237 votes for the party convention, which will be held in July, then the winner will be determined directly by voting at the congress. At the same time, the distribution of delegates for candidates in accordance with the results of the primaries is valid only in the first round of voting. Then, according to the rules, most of the congress participants are free to support any applicant of their own free will. That is, it is not the results of the primaries that are decisive at all, but the true preferences and loyalty of delegates.Experts believe that such an alignment will play into the hands of Cruz, since the congress delegates are mostly functionaries of the party, the top of which is opposed to Trump.
The next stage is April 26, when both parties will have primaries in Delaware, Connecticut, Maryland, Rhode Island and Pennsylvania.
By the way
After the announcement of the results of the primaries in New York, the Empire State Building was highlighted in red and blue. Red is the traditional color of the GOP, from which Trump is nominated, and blue is the Clinton Democratic party.
Help “RG”
US primary elections are intended to determine the strongest candidate in the ranks of the two main parties – Democratic and Republican. Parties conduct primaries and count votes independently of each other. According to the results of voting in each state, the votes of the delegates from the state are distributed among the applicants. The primaries season will end in July with two-party national conventions, at which the contender with the overwhelming majority of the delegates will be confirmed as the official candidate. Also at the congress a candidate for vice-president is approved, a program for the next four years is adopted. The Democratic Party Congress will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, July 25-28, and the Republican Congress, in Cleveland, Ohio, July 18-21.

Eligibility Requirements for Sports Scholarship Applicants | |||
Athlete’s age | Required documents | Tests | Sports achievements |
15-18 years old (schoolchildren in grades 10-11, college students) | Certificate for Grade 11 Grades for Grades 8-11 Certificate for Grade 9 * | SAT TOEFL | Athletic Summary by Sport Video * National and International Athlete Ratings |
18-20 years old Students of Russian universities (1-3 courses) | Certificate from the university about the subjects passed (only exam courses | TOEFL |
* – Sometimes required
- information on registration for SAT and TOEFL tests;
- instruction on school documents;
- Instruction for Registration with Athletic Associations.
90,023 sample resume detailing athletic performance;
