About This Data
Nonprofit Explorer includes summary data for nonprofit tax returns and full Form 990 documents, in both PDF and digital formats.
The summary data contains information processed by the IRS during the 2012-2019 calendar years; this generally consists of filings for the 2011-2018 fiscal years, but may include older records. This data release includes only a subset of what can be found in the full Form 990s.
In addition to the raw summary data, we link to PDFs and digital copies of full Form 990 documents wherever possible.
This consists of separate releases by the IRS of Form 990 documents processed by the agency, which we update regularly.

Which Organizations Are Here?
Every organization that has been recognized as tax exempt by the IRS has to file Form 990 every year, unless they make less than $200,000 in revenue and have less than $500,000 in assets, in which case they have to file form 990-EZ. Organizations making less than $50,000 don’t have to file either form but do have to let the IRS they’re still in business via a Form 990N “e-Postcard.”
Nonprofit Explorer has organizations claiming tax exemption in each of the 27 subsections of the 501(c) section of the tax code, and which have filed a Form 990, Form 990EZ or Form 990PF. Taxable trusts and private foundations that are required to file a form 990PF are also included.
Small organizations filing a Form 990N “e-Postcard” are not included in this data.

Biden commits ‘cascade of errors’ ahead of Putin meeting, Polish official warns
President Joe Biden’s team has committed “a cascade of errors” in the lead-up to his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to the top Polish diplomat, who complained that Warsaw only learned “from the media” that the U.
S. would waive sanctions on a major Russian pipeline project.
“Our American allies did not find time to consult with the region most exposed to the consequences of that decision,” Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau said Friday.
Rau was critical of Biden’s relationship with Central and Eastern European allies, just as the new administration hopes to make a show of transatlantic unity following former President Donald Trump’s tempestuous tenure on Biden’s first trip abroad. Yet, the Putin encounter looming at the end of that diplomatic tour casts a shadow over the alliance, as Biden’s outreach to the western European capitals that clashed most with Trump involves policy concessions that alarm the allies who endured the tyranny of the Soviet Union.
“American-Russian-German dialogue is no substitute for consultations between America and its allies on NATO’s eastern flank, who will be particularly affected by these decisions,” Rau told Rzeczpospolita, a Polish media outlet.
“It is easier for the Americans to talk to the Germans and the French, who won’t ask awkward questions and are willing to give the Americans the nod on Russia.”
PUTIN WELCOMES US CONCESSION ON NORD STREAM 2 SANCTIONS
Biden’s team has described his meeting with Putin as an attempt to place U.S.-Russia relations on a more “stable and predictable” footing. Rau made clear he has low expectations for the meeting but acknowledged Biden was right to make the effort.
“Putin is no Gorbachev, and Biden is certainly no Reagan,” he said archly.
“Diplomacy strives to nurture even the very remote possibility that one day Russia will become a member of the international community seeking to preserve peace and pursuing peaceful policies to this end,” the foreign minister said. “We should always look for ways of encouraging Russia, even under Vladimir Putin’s rule, to adopt such policies.”

Rau’s public airing of grievances could put a negative charge into the relationship already fraught with political tensions.
Freedom House, a non-profit organization in Washington, D.C., identified Poland as one of the worst examples of “democratic backsliding in Europe,” faulting Warsaw in particular for “cracking down on judicial autonomy, independent media and the civic sector.”
Secretary of State Antony Blinken has requested a $2.8 billion budget to counter such developments.
“For example, through technical training for elections and support for independent media and civil society,” he told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee this week. Biden hopes an “alliance of democracies” will hold the key to countering the threats emanating from a rising Chinese Communist regime.
Polish President Andrzej Duda also hesitated to congratulate Biden for winning the 2020 presidential election even after the U.S. General Services Administration initiated the transition, citing Trump’s unsubstantiated election challenges. Yet, Rau suggested Biden was punishing Poland for close cooperation with Trump’s administration on policy issues before the election.
“What mistakes were made by other American allies on NATO’s eastern flank that would justify Washington’s prioritizing communication with its adversaries over talks with its allies?” he said. “We are facing policymaking based on false premises that stem from a condemnation and rejection of policies conducted by the previous administration.”
Biden administration officials opted to waive sanctions Russian hawks hoped would thwart the completion of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, despite widespread agreement the pipeline is part of a Kremlin scheme to tighten energy links with Germany at the expense of Ukraine. Blinken emphasized, by way of explanation, the pipeline is already close to completion, so the sanctions would not have killed the project.
“The physical completion of the pipeline was, I think, a fait accompli,” Blinken told the House Foreign Affairs Committee on June 7. “So, the worst of all worlds is a pipeline that’s completed, which we continue to believe is a fundamentally bad idea, a poisoned well with one of our closest partners, Germany .
.. and no incentives for Germany to actually work with us to mitigate and correct some of the damage that this is likely to do.”
U.S. and German officials are negotiating how to ensure Ukraine doesn’t suffer financially if Russia stops sending gas through the current route across its territory. They are also discussing what to do if Putin uses the Nord Stream 2 pipeline to deprive Ukraine of energy resources at critical times without disrupting the delivery of gas to Germany.
Blinken’s counterpart in Warsaw alleged many of the U.S.-Germany discussions had been conducted in secret.
“When rumors appeared about confidential U.S.-German talks on NS2, we heard reassurances that no such discussions were taking place,” he said before implying that U.S. officials lied to his government. “We took note of these statements despite the fact that they contradicted what we knew from other sources.”
That lack of coordination extends to other areas, according to Rau, who said the American team has “not found time to arrange a meeting with their eastern flank allies.
” He also criticized Biden for scheduling a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after his summit with Putin.

“The proper sequence should be the reverse and result from a well-considered policy, not a mere face-saving operation,” he said. “So here we have yet another mistake. In fact, we are dealing with a cascade of errors. All of which could have been avoided if consultations with allies had been taken seriously.”

And now the principle of creative genius and modest, not particularly loud, such averaging has entered into a dispute. Who will win, who will be given more? That was the whole question. I’ll tell you this that Zhenya did everything he could, maybe in the second stage, if only one small, maybe double jump could be added.
Or maybe not. There was enough of everything. But how was all this evaluated? This was appreciated absolutely unworthy. Talk to the judges sitting in the stands. “

Vladislav Zakharov took the children to the bomb shelter

Experience in teaching – more than a quarter of a century. And all these years he devoted to the “Cascade” club, where the so-called difficult teenagers found a kind welcome and shelter.
For 25 years, thousands of children have passed through the “Cascade”, therefore, when they greet Zakharov on the street, he can not always immediately remember the name.
Some of his former pupils work in the police, some have become a teacher. Some have gone to professional sports, for example, Maxim Orlichenko travels throughout Russia, competes in ultimate fighting. And Ruslan Rusakov became famous thanks to the film “Soldiers”, in which he starred. Many guys work at Pozhtekhnika and other Torzhok enterprises. And for most of the pupils, the club has become, most likely, the main educator.
“Cascade” did not need advertising
And it all started by no means easy.Returning from the army, Vladislav first of all, having gathered young guys, put together a squad that raided the evening city, kept order at discos. The name “Cascade” appeared then. This word seemed in tune with the time, says Vladislav. Then, in 1987, along with freedom and perestroika, collapse and poverty fell upon the country, drugs entered the lives of children. Anxiety and instability exasperated the adolescents. They did not know what to do, where to find a use for themselves. Vladislav Stanislavovich understood: in order to save the guys, you need to gather them, distract them from the street and keep them busy.Four of us took up this difficult task: Vladislav Zakharov and his friends – policemen Nikolai Plutenko and Oleg Neklyudov, who later died in the line of duty, and Oleg Avdoshin is still with the “Cascade”. The former bomb shelter was equipped. They took out the garbage from the basement, repaired, made something, and all by themselves, at their own expense and with their own hands. (Only in 1996 the organization was assigned to housing and communal services, and Zakharov began to receive a small salary.) So 25 years ago, the first teenage club appeared in Torzhok.
The hall was never empty. Athletic gymnastics, martial arts, checkers, chess – these sports, as well as general physical training, attracted children from the neighboring districts of the city. And all the same, it was not a gym, but a club. People also came here to chat, drink tea, just warm up. There was a guy, recalls Zakharov, who, during his four years at the club, never came to the simulator, did not do a single exercise. I came just like that. The club did not need advertising – information was passed from one to another.Somehow one of the parents came here for his son and saw: in the hall there are more than forty boys staring intently at chess pieces. All is well, he said, there are no questions, except for one thing: how did you manage to put all of them at the chessboards? And one guy in the club kept food that he received as humanitarian aid. He did not leave at home – he was afraid that his parents would drink. He brewed a glass of rice in the hall and carried it home to feed the younger sisters. So he raised his sisters, he himself graduated from the institute in absentia, became a completely prosperous adult.Such guys also went to the club, for whom tea drinking here constituted the ration for the whole day. They just came because there was nowhere else to go – it was bad at home, it was cold and dark outside. And these guys, now adults, go to the club, which they still consider theirs.
There is no deadlock as long as there is a target
A lot of different things happened during this time. Vladislav does not want to remember the bad, but after all, it even came to closing. Three years ago, the city administration urgently demanded to vacate the premises, completely complete activities with the teenagers of the microdistrict, take away “personal” things (simulators, accumulated “iron” – more than three tons), and for greater reliability, Zakharov was fired from his job – he had to be restored through court.However, Vladislav was not going to give up.
– Yes, the situation seemed awful, but there are no hopeless situations. I went to a meeting with the director of the Torzhok orphanage, offered to place a gym on their base, so that the same problematic teenagers, like mine on Proletarka, would also work out. And it worked. Previously, children from dysfunctional families came to study – at the new place, classes continued with children who have no family at all. True, the attitude of officials then sunk unpleasantly into the soul.I am glad that there have been changes in the city administration and other people are now in charge of the youth policy in Torzhok.
To the climbing wall and tatami
In 2010, in order to gain more independence, Kaskad registered as an autonomous non-profit organization. Practical experience and luggage by that time was enormous. This is work with youth at the place of residence, sports competitions, relay races, Days of Health, Days of the conscript – in general, all the variety of events for children and adolescents.The guys spend a lot of time in the gym. Therefore, we purchased a universal multifunctional training complex, a “rubber man” appeared for training boxers, as well as several tables for table tennis and a treadmill. Vladislav’s energy does not go unnoticed, and he becomes the deputy director of the orphanage for physical culture and sports work.
In the Torzhok orphanage, a cycling tourist destination is now held in high esteem. In 2011, sponsors donated several folding bicycles.Nobody could have imagined that the guys with enthusiasm would wind up our broken roads as much as 50 kilometers per day. At the suggestion of Zakharov, competitions and multi-day hikes are practiced. The guys even go for walks in Moscow at night.
With director Andrey Artemchuk, a man truly inspired by work in an orphanage, Vladislav is trying to find funds for a hockey rink. In general, we can already say that now “Cascade” has its own developing multidisciplinary sports base.And in the near future – to have a full-fledged wrestling hall, with a real tatami.
