What are the standard sizes for boys t-shirts. How do different brands size their boys clothing. What factors should you consider when choosing the right size for a boy’s t-shirt. How can you ensure a proper fit when buying boys t-shirts online.
Understanding Boys T-Shirt Size Categories
When shopping for boys’ t-shirts, it’s crucial to understand the various size categories available. Most brands offer sizes ranging from Small to XL, with some providing additional options like XXS or XXL. These size categories are typically based on a combination of factors, including age, height, chest circumference, and sometimes weight.
Common Size Categories for Boys T-Shirts:
- Small (S)
- Medium (M)
- Large (L)
- Extra Large (XL)
Is there a standard sizing system across all brands? Unfortunately, no. While there are general guidelines, sizing can vary significantly between different manufacturers and even within different lines of the same brand. This variation makes it essential to consult specific size charts when shopping for boys’ t-shirts.
Decoding Boys T-Shirt Size Charts
Size charts are invaluable tools when shopping for boys’ clothing, especially t-shirts. They provide detailed measurements that help ensure a proper fit. Most size charts include information on chest width, body length, and sometimes sleeve length.
Key Measurements in Boys T-Shirt Size Charts:
- Chest Width: Measured across the chest, under the armpits
- Body Length: From the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem
- Sleeve Length: From the center back of the neck, across the shoulder, to the end of the sleeve
How do you use these measurements to find the right size? Start by measuring your child and comparing these measurements to the size chart. Remember to account for growth and preferred fit when making your selection.
Age-Based Sizing Guidelines for Boys T-Shirts
While age-based sizing can be a helpful starting point, it’s important to note that children grow at different rates. Therefore, using age alone to determine t-shirt size may not always yield the best results. However, many brands provide age ranges as a general guide.
Typical Age-Based Size Ranges:
- Size 5 – ages 5-6
- Size 6 – ages 6-7
- Size 7 – ages 7-8
- Size 8 – ages 8-9
- Size 10 – ages 10-11
- Size 12 – ages 11-12
- Size 14 – ages 12-13
- Size 16 – ages 13-14
- Size 18 – ages 14-15
Why do some sizes jump from single digits to even numbers? This transition typically occurs around size 8 or 10 and reflects the shift from children’s to youth sizing. It’s a common practice in the clothing industry to help differentiate between younger children’s sizes and those for older boys or teens.
Brand-Specific Sizing Variations in Boys T-Shirts
Different brands may have slight variations in their sizing, which can make shopping for boys’ t-shirts challenging. Some popular brands known for their boys’ clothing lines include Target/Cherokee, Brothers, The Children’s Place, Gymboree, Old Navy/The Gap, and Kohl’s.
Notable Brand-Specific Sizing Observations:
- Target/Cherokee: Tends to run shorter than other brands
- Brothers: Often provides longer lengths, suitable for taller boys
- Gymboree: Sizing is generally consistent with other brands but may retain its shape better after washing
- Old Navy/The Gap: Known for a more relaxed fit
- Kohl’s: Unique in providing waist and inseam measurements instead of waist and height
How can you navigate these brand-specific differences? Always refer to the brand’s specific size chart when available, and consider reading customer reviews for insights on how the sizes run in practice.
Factors Influencing Boys T-Shirt Fit
Several factors can influence how a t-shirt fits a boy, beyond just the numerical size. Understanding these factors can help you make better choices when selecting t-shirts.
Key Factors Affecting T-Shirt Fit:
- Fabric Type: Some materials, like cotton, may shrink after washing
- Cut and Style: Slim fit vs. regular fit can significantly impact how a shirt sits on the body
- Brand Sizing: As mentioned earlier, sizes can vary between brands
- Body Shape: Boys with different body types may find certain cuts more comfortable
- Personal Preference: Some boys prefer a looser fit, while others like their shirts more fitted
How do you account for these factors when shopping? Consider buying a size up if you’re concerned about shrinkage, and pay attention to the cut and style descriptions provided by the brand.
Tips for Measuring Boys for T-Shirt Sizing
Accurate measurements are crucial for finding the right t-shirt size. Here’s a guide on how to measure a boy for t-shirt sizing:
Steps to Measure for T-Shirt Sizing:
- Chest: Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape measure parallel to the ground
- Waist: Measure around the natural waistline, typically just above the hip bones
- Height: Measure from the top of the head to the floor while standing straight
- Arm Length: Measure from the center back of the neck, across the shoulder, and down to the wrist
When is the best time to measure? It’s a good idea to measure every few months, especially during growth spurts. Always measure over undergarments for the most accurate results.
Online Shopping Strategies for Boys T-Shirts
Shopping for boys’ t-shirts online can be convenient, but it comes with its own set of challenges. Without the ability to try on the garment, how can you ensure you’re selecting the right size?
Tips for Successful Online T-Shirt Shopping:
- Always check the size chart provided by the retailer
- Read customer reviews for insights on fit and quality
- Look for brands that offer detailed product descriptions
- Consider ordering multiple sizes if you’re unsure
- Check the return policy before purchasing
What should you do if the t-shirt doesn’t fit? Most online retailers have straightforward return or exchange policies. Don’t hesitate to use these if the fit isn’t right – it’s better to have a properly fitting garment than to keep something that’s uncomfortable or unflattering.
Addressing Common Boys T-Shirt Sizing Issues
Even with careful measurement and size selection, you may encounter some common sizing issues when shopping for boys’ t-shirts. Being aware of these can help you make better choices and find solutions.
Frequent Sizing Problems and Solutions:
- Sleeves too long: Consider short-sleeve options or look for brands that offer different sleeve lengths
- Shirt too wide: Look for slim-fit options or consider having the shirt tailored
- Shirt too short: Opt for “tall” sizes if available, or size up and have the width adjusted if necessary
- Inconsistent sizing between brands: Stick to brands you know fit well, or be prepared to try multiple sizes
How can you prevent these issues? Whenever possible, have your child try on clothes before purchasing. If buying online, carefully read product descriptions and customer reviews for insights on fit.
When it comes to boys’ t-shirt sizing, knowledge is power. By understanding size categories, decoding size charts, considering brand variations, and knowing how to measure correctly, you’ll be well-equipped to find the perfect fit. Remember that sizes can change as boys grow, so it’s a good idea to remeasure regularly. With these tips and strategies, you’ll be able to navigate the world of boys’ t-shirt sizing with confidence, ensuring comfort and style for the young men in your life.

Boys Clothing Size Charts – Size 4-18
Hello & welcome to Happy Little Homemaker! I’m so glad that you stopped by! I would love for you to subscribe to my RSS Feed. You can also find me on Pinterest and Twitter.
Thanks for visiting!
Last week, I shared the girls clothing size charts and even though my little man is nowhere near boys sizing, I decided to take care of it while I was at it. I had no idea that boys sizes were the same as girls — single digits from size 5 to 8 and then even numbers from 10-16. Which again, do not correspond in any way to ages.
Like I did with the baby clothing size charts, I went to the most common boys clothing brands:
- Target/Cherokee
- Brothers (boy label of Justice)
- The Children’s Place
- Gymboree
- Old Navy/The Gap
- Kohls
Most clothing manufacturers size their girls clothing by height. Boys clothing on the other hand, offers height and waist charts about half the time. Kohls is still the odd duck, offering waist and inseam rather than waist & height.
The height charts are all pretty similar except that if your child is on the tall side, you may want to check out Brothers. Their sizing starts at size 5 and is a whole inch longer than anyone else for most age ranges.
Target brands run a lot shorter than the others. Gymboree is surprisingly similar to everyone else, but in my experience, it doesn’t seem to shrink as much as Target/Cherokee, or the Children’s Place.
Also, as I mentioned, boys clothing size charts no longer seem to correspond to age. In addition, they go by single digits from size 5 to 8 and then jump to women-type sizing of even numbers (10, 12, etc). They roughly correspond as follows:
Size 5 – ages 5-6
Size 6 – ages 6-7
Size 7 – ages 7-8
Size 7x/8 – ages 8-9
Size 10 – ages 10-11
Size 12 – ages 11-12
Size 14 – ages 12-13
Size 16 – ages 13-14
Size 18 – ages 14-15
Many brands do not make all those sizes and so I guess that at some point you just shop in the men’s section?
You can download a printable copy of the boys clothing size charts from size 4-18. It includes a chart of what size Small/Medium/Large correspond to for each brand, which is totally useful when resale shopping or the recipient of hand me downs!
Hope this helps!

Shirt Sizes Charts (Women, Men, Kids & Toddlers): Get the Perfect Fit Every Time
When you know how to read size charts and tell the difference between different shirt styles, you’ll get a perfect, flattering fit every time.
The shirt is such an integral part of any outfit, there are some places that won’t allow you to be served if you don’t have one on. Some parts of an outfit you can forget or leave behind. But the shirt? It’s terribly difficult to get by without one.
It seems like such a straightforward, simple thing to wear, but finding the perfect fit for a shirt is all about knowing what you want and finding how to match it to your body.
Choosing the Fit
All shirts aren’t made to look the same or fit the same way, not even when it comes to T-shirts. The design of the T-shirt is extremely well-known but it’s hardly a single, standard cut that is used across the board. In fact, T-shirts come in a variety of different fits. Choose the type of fit you want based on the overall look you want.
If you want a more form-fitting look, a slim fit may be the best choice for you. Slim fit may also be called trim fit. A regular fit, or standard fit, is tailored to the body. It’s not baggy, but also not form-fitting. It is comfortable in the waist and chest, but not roomy.
Classic fit, or original fit, is somewhat roomy and loose all over the body. This fit is comfortable and easy to move around in.
A fashion fit is slightly tapered through the waist to be more form-fitting and figure-flattering. The sleeves are smaller and a little more close-fitting, with high shoulder seams.

Toddlers
Keeping toddlers in clothing can be tough because they keep changing size! Toddler clothing will often be marked in sizes but also in age ranges, to give you a general idea of what to get. But if you want to get a precise shirt size for your toddler, there are a couple of easy ways to do it.
If you have a shirt that already fits your toddler well, measure this garment instead of trying to measure the toddler because the shirt will be able to sit still for you! Measure the shirt for length from the top of the shoulder seam to the bottom of the hem. Measure across the bottom, about an inch above the hem, and across the chest just under the armholes to get a width measurement.
If you haven’t got a shirt that fits the toddler, you can make a little game out of getting a measurement. Have the toddler hold up a sheet or large towel in front of themselves, with their arms stretched out wide. Quickly use a washable marker to draw the outline of a T-shirt around the toddler.
Make a game out of seeing if they can stay still and work as quickly as you can. You only need a rough outline to get a pretty accurate measurement.
Kids
Like clothing made in toddler sizes, clothing made for kids will often have sizes as well as age ranges listed. However, children grow at different rates. Your 8-year-old may be quite a bit bigger or smaller than the 8-year-old down the street, so the ages are more of a guideline than a rule. Accurate measurements are the best way to find the right size clothing.
Take measurements while the child is standing up straight and tall with their arms hanging naturally at their sides. Take the measurement across the chest under the armholes to get an accurate width. Measure from the edge of the collar bone down past the wait to the top of the hip to get an accurate length measurement.
Children’s Shirts Size Chart
Clothing made for children will often be listed in sizes like “3T” and “4Y.” The “T” stands for toddler and the “Y” for kids. This will help you tell the difference between clothing specifically made in toddler sizes and clothing that is made for the bigger kids. Clothing for the smallest kids is made with the letter M, as in “3M” or “6M.” The M stands for months.

Men’s
Adult shirt sizes often come in small, medium, large, extra large, and extra extra large. These sizes will be marked as S, M, L, XL, and XXL. Sometimes, shirts are also available in extra small (XS) and extra extra extra large (XXXL).
Men’s shirt sizes are based on chest, length, sleeve, and bottom width measurements. Your measurements may not fit one size exactly. This is very normal. Always go up, instead of down, when choosing a size. If you are an inch off on size, always choose the size that’s bigger than your measurement instead of smaller.
When taking measurements, you can take measurements directly from a shirt that already fits you perfectly or you can measure going off your own body. But when measuring from your body, remember to add a couple of inches if you want a roomier fit.

Women’s
Women can certainly wear men’s shirt sizes and sometimes, even kid shirt sizes. However, women’s shirts are designed specifically for the woman’s natural shape. The shoulders, sleeves and chest will typically fit differently in a woman’s shirt as compared to a man’s shirt.
You can always measure your body and purchase a men’s shirt based on these sizes, but any shirt will fit much better if you choose a woman’s size. Stand up straight with your shoulders back when measuring for shirt sizes.

FAQs
If you’ve got questions about shirts and how they fit, you aren’t alone. Get the answers to the most common shirt questions and a great-fitting shirt every time.
Are shirt sizes universal?
You will see the same sizes over and over again when you’re searching for new clothes, whether you see numbers or letters. But this does not mean that sizes are universal. Shirt sizes aren’t universal among manufacturers. Some brands may have their own idea about what a “medium” shirt is so that you can have a medium shirt from two different labels and find big differences in the size of each shirt. However, measurements are universal. Clothing companies have their own sizing charts, which you can use to look at exact measurements and get the exact right fit for your body.
Are shirt sizes different in other countries, like the UK?
Sizes can vary greatly by country. For example, the U.S. and the UK use the same letters to denote sizes but the sizes have different measurements. You won’t wear the same shirt size in the UK as you do in the U.S.
Do jerseys use the same sizes as shirts?
Sports jerseys are a popular fashion look that is seen everywhere, not just at sporting events and during athletic activities. However, jerseys do use their own sizes. This can make it difficult to find a jersey that’s going to fit. Hockey jerseys and baseball jerseys commonly use a number system for their sizes that correspond to the more common letter system used for shirt sizes (small, medium, and so on). To get the right size jersey, get a sizing chart from the jersey seller and match up the numbers on the jersey to the size you typically wear in shirts.
How should a shirt fit on the shoulders?
If you’re looking for that perfect fit, base it off of your shoulders. This is where you want your shirt to feel and fit the best. Otherwise, you’re going to look and feel awkward. The seam of the shoulder should sit right near the curve of the shoulder. If it is too high, your sleeves are likely to ride up on your arms and cause you discomfort. If the seam is too low, your shirt is too big.
What do shirt sizes mean?
Shirt sizes are determined by specific measurements. The size of the collar, the length of the sleeve, the width of the chest, and the width of the waist correspond to the specific measurements used for each shift size (small, medium, large, and so on). In shirts, the waist measurement is usually the bottom hem of the shirt.
What size shirt should you wear?
Measure your body to get your basic numbers for chest, waist, and shirt length. Match your measurements up to size charts, depending on the type of fit you want, to figure out which size shirt will work best for you. Sources:

Fabric Selection
The fabric of a children’s T-shirt should not only be beautiful and interesting. When choosing, you need to pay attention to the degree of its air permeability, hygroscopicity, so that clothes made from it do not cause discomfort. Also important characteristics are hygiene and hypoallergenicity.
When choosing, the comfort of the fabric for the body, practicality is also taken into account. T-shirts are sewn, as a rule, from light knitted materials such as interlock, pique, etc. The composition of the knitted fabric is different. Cotton and linen are very popular. Products made from them are light and breathable, they look stylish, they are easy to take care of.
Sometimes fabrics are used that include, in addition to natural threads, polyester and elastane fibers.
Viscose also deserves attention.
The table shows the characteristics of some fabrics:

To make a pattern for a T-shirt for a girl, you need measurements:

- Semi-girth of the chest (Cg) – the tape bends around the body at chest level parallel to the floor. The resulting value is halved.
- Semi-girth of the waist (St) – With a centimeter they go around the body through the thinnest region of the abdomen horizontally. The resulting parameter is halved.
- Semi-girth of the hips (Sat) – measure parallel to the floor through the places of maximum protrusions of the buttocks and abdomen. The measurement result is halved.
- Chest width (Wd) – measured between the anterior borders of the armpits.
- Back length (Dst) – from the 7th vertebra of the cervical spine along the spine to the level of the waist.
- The length of the front part to the border of the waist (Dtp) – is determined by the vertical line from the jugular fossa to the level of the waist. In young children, the values of Dst and Dtp are the same.
The procedure for taking individual measurements
- Chest height (Bg) – measurements as in an accident, but up to the convex point of the chest.
- Back armhole height (depth) (Vprz) – from the highest point of the shoulder seam to the rear armpit.
- Oblique shoulder height (Vpk) – from the extreme point of the shoulder to the intersection of the spine with the waist.
- Back width (Shs) – the distance between the armpits on the back is measured.
- Shoulder width (Shp) – the distance of the future shoulder seam, the horizontal between the base of the neck and the edge of the shoulder.
- Sleeve length (Dp) – from the shoulder edge along the outer side of the arm to the selected place.
- Shoulder Girth (Op) – Parallel to the floor around the widest circumference of the arm.
- Wrist circumference (Ozap) – the circumference of the wrist line.
Norms of measurements for children of preschool and school age
Basic measurements can be determined from tables, knowing the growth of the baby.
Approximate measurements of children with different heights
Pattern of children’s T-shirt
Next, the procedure for making a simplified version of this pattern will be considered.
An example of a T-shirt pattern
- A rectangle is drawn. Its width is equal to 1/2 of the half-girth of the hips + 2-4 cm, length = the length of the finished product.
- From the upper corner, the width of the neckline (Osh \ 5), the length of the neckline (behind it it is enough to lower it by a couple of centimeters, in front it can be equal to the width) are laid.
- The point corresponding to the edge of the shoulder is lowered by 1.5–2.5 centimeters, connected to the edge of the neckline by the shoulder line.
- The length of the shoulder is measured from the neckline along this line.
- From the end of the shoulder descends a line of depth of the armhole equal to the width of the sleeve at the top – 1 centimeter.
- The armhole line is smoothly drawn

How to build a sleeve
The order of construction of the sleeve:
- Draw a horizontal line equal to the width of the sleeve. In the middle, perpendicular to it, a line of the height of the ridge (5-8 cm) is built.
- Okat is under construction. For construction, you can attach a ready-made pattern and circle the contour of the armhole.
- Compare the length of the grommet and the sum of the lengths of the armhole (front and back). If there is a mismatch, the patterns are adjusted (the height of the cuff, the width of the sleeve, the contour of the armhole).
- The length of the sleeve is plotted from the top point of the okat.
- A line of width of the lower edge of the sleeve is drawn perpendicular to it.
- The lateral lines of the sleeve are drawn, connecting the extreme points.
Sleeve pattern
1.5–2 centimeters down from the neckline is laid on the collar.
How to sew a children’s T-shirt
Boy’s T-shirt pattern is similar to T-shirt pattern, but it lacks sleeves and has a deepened front neckline.
How to cut a children’s T-shirt
The pattern of a children’s T-shirt is often made from jersey. Cotton fabrics have excellent characteristics, but tend to shrink by 3-5%. To prevent shrinkage, decating is performed before cutting. The fabric is moistened with water (it is possible with the addition of vinegar to fix the pattern) and dried. Then it is ironed in the direction of the warp thread (parallel to the edge).
Technique for decating different fabrics
Important! If the fabric has spots of dirt, it must be washed before ironing.
Next, the fabric is examined for stains, lack of color, holes, and non-woven fabric. Places of defects are outlined on the seamy side with chalk and taken into account when cutting.
Select the front side, the direction of the pattern, the pile. Place the fabric face down. The details of the pattern are laid out on it (first large, then small), pinned with pins, circle with chalk exactly along the contour.
The location of the details relative to the fold of the fabric
Allowances are made: 3 centimeters along the free edges of the product, 7-15 mm at the seams. The size of the seam allowance is determined by the method of joining the parts, if the product is sewn with overlock stitches and – 7 mm is enough.
Finally, parts of the product are cut out.
For boy
The pattern for a boy’s T-shirt is not much different from the pattern for girls. They are usually cut from fabrics of cold colors. They are also more likely to wear sleeveless tops.
For girl
T-shirts for girls are often decorated with rhinestones, appliqués, ruffles. The color of the fabric of the products is often chosen warm. A T-shirt pattern for a girl can be created based on a T-shirt pattern.
How to sew a T-shirt
T-shirt sewing order:
- Shoulder seams are sewn.
- A sleeve is sewn to the armholes.
- The side seams are sewn together and, along with them, the seams of the sleeves.
- The free edges of the product are overcast with an overstitch.Tucked up, hemmed.
- The length of the neck is measured (no stretch).
- An elastic band is sewn to it 2 centimeters less. First, with one side, then folded over, ironed on and sewn on with the other side.
Appearance of a rolled T-shirt-sample
Sewing a children’s T-shirt with a one-cut sleeve without a pattern can be mastered even by a novice needlewoman.
Sequence of actions:
- Take a ready-made T-shirt that matches the size.
- Fold the knitted fabric in half.
- Fold the sample T-shirt in half and put it on the jersey so that the folds coincide.
- Pin up, outline with a margin, cut out.
- According to the received part, cut out another one from the fabric.
- Deepen the neckline on the front, comparing to the reference T-shirt.
- Fold the pieces right sides together, join one shoulder seam.
- Sew on a piece for processing a neckline.
- Sew second shoulder seam.
- Finish the hem of the T-shirt and the edges of the sleeves.
- Sew side seams.
The T-shirt can also be upgraded by cutting out an original pattern on the back, add ribbons, bows, applique to it, make a raglan sleeve, modify into a tunic, decorate with rhinestones, beads or embroidery, a girl can sew a T-shirt with a partially open back. A hand-made product will always delight a person, because it is selected and created in strict accordance with all his requests. Its cost will also be much lower than the purchased one.
T-shirt for a boy in a marine style, master
A kid should have a lot of T-shirts: they can be worn in any season! So stock up on fabrics, time and imagination, it is you who will be able, with the help of applications, to sew for a child unique things that are right for him! Such a T-shirt in a nautical style with the Telescope applique can be timed for a family viewing of the August Starfall or just a walk under the starry sky.Plus, it fits perfectly with cuff breeches, which you can also sew with your own hands!
Materials and tools:
- Cooler with stars – 35 cm,
- Solid gray swirl – 35 cm,
- Dark blue ribana for the neckline – small cut,
- Non-woven for sealing the applique – small piece,
- Threads matching the fabric,
- Tailor’s Pins,
- Fabric scissors,
- Sewing machine,
- T-shirt pattern for a boy, size 86-92.
This T-shirt pattern will fit both size 86 and 92. In addition, you can use it to sew a long sleeve (long sleeve T-shirt). To obtain a pattern of size 86, cut out the fabric parts clearly along the contour of the template, and for size 92, make 7 mm allowances on the fabric on all sides, except for the neck. If you are looking for a summer T-shirt, use only the top piece for the sleeve. Well, for a long sleeve, cut both sides of the sleeve out of paper, connect them and cut out a one-piece sleeve from the fabric. To get a real-size pattern, enlarge this image so that the center line of the back of the product is 32 cm.Then, simply attach parchment paper to the screen and circle the outlines of the pattern on it.
Manufactured:
1. Cut out all the details of the future T-shirt from the fabric: from the multi-colored drawer – the back of the product and two sleeves, from the one-color drawer – in front, and from the ribana – a long strip 3 cm wide for the neckline. The length of this strip will depend on the size of the neckline of the shirt.Using a flexible tape measure, measure the total length of the necklines on the back and front, and then measure 2/3 of this length on the ribbon. This will give you the correct size for the neck piece. It is better to immediately bend this strip in half (lengthwise) and iron it.
2. Make an applique patch. To do this, transfer the telescope traces to parchment, and reinforce the fabric for applique with non-woven fabric (put them together and run with a warm iron so that the non-woven fabric sticks). Then hold the telescope cut out of parchment against the compacted cloth and cut out this piece.
3. Attach the future applique to the place on the front of the T-shirt, where it should show off. Secure first with a pin in the center, and then go over the edge of the appliqué with a basting stitch.
4. Sew the appliqué neatly using a regular straight stitch at intervals of 2. In our case, the trim of the T-shirt will be made with red threads, which is why the applique is sewn with them.
5. Fold the front and back of the shirt together, face to face.Pin the shoulder lines and then sew with a knit stitch. Seam fabric edges (seam allowances) with an overlock or regular zigzag stitch.
6. On the right side of the garment, stitch the shoulder seams with a straight seam (interval 3), folding the seams forward.
7. Close the detail of the neck, previously ironed along the central fold, into a ring from the wrong side. Sew the edges of the fabric and fold the crease at the neckline.
8.Place the neckline evenly around the entire edge of the neckline, securing the fabric with tailor pins.
9. Stitch the neckline to the T-shirt with a knit stitch. Overlock the edges, and then sew the seam from the right side by folding the seam down. A straight seam with an interval of 3.
is suitable for stitching.
10. Sew the sleeves to the T-shirt. Pin them first, then repeat the familiar trick: knit stitch + overlock stitch.
11. Now – the two longest seams in a T-shirt. These are the side seams that go into the sleeve seams. Secure these parts of the garment with pins, sew with a knit stitch and overlock the seam allowances.
12. There is absolutely nothing left! Fold the bottom of the T-shirt twice to the wrong side (first time 5mm, second time 10mm), secure with pins, and then hand basting for convenience. Then you can machine the edges of the hem using a straight stitch at intervals of 3.
