Choosing the Right BIKE Athletic Product for Your Needs
With such a diverse range of products, how can you select the best BIKE Athletic item for your specific requirements? Consider the following factors when making your choice:
Sport or Activity
Different sports and activities may require varying levels of support and protection. For high-impact sports, a traditional jockstrap or jock brief might be ideal, while lower-impact activities might be better suited to a cotton brief.
Personal Comfort Preferences
Consider your personal preferences for coverage, support, and material. Some athletes prefer the minimal design of a classic jockstrap, while others may opt for the fuller coverage of a brief or jock brief.
Climate and Environment
If you frequently exercise in hot or humid conditions, prioritize products with enhanced moisture-wicking capabilities and breathable fabrics.
Frequency of Use
For daily wear or frequent training, invest in multiple pairs of high-quality BIKE products to ensure you always have clean, supportive underwear available.
Budget Considerations
While BIKE Athletic products are competitively priced, consider your budget when selecting items. Remember that investing in quality sports underwear can contribute to improved performance and reduced risk of injury.
By carefully evaluating these factors, you can choose the BIKE Athletic product that best suits your individual needs and preferences, ensuring optimal comfort and support during your athletic endeavors.

Track :: Russian Cycling Federation
Track cycling.
Unlike many Olympic sports whose history
calculated for thousands of years, cycling arose relatively recently – in
end of the 19th century. Since 1870 in various cities of France, Italy, Great Britain
and other countries, the construction of tracks begins.
Track racing – a type of cycling
passing on special oval-shaped cycle tracks with a length of 133 to 500 m,
width from 4 to 9meters, the slope of the track on straight sections is up to 14.0, and
on bends – from 25.0 to 52.0 degrees.
With the advent
pneumatic tire racing bicycles are not widely used
only on the track, where before that only “spiders” and
“kangaroo”, but also on the highway.
First Champion
world track for amateur athletes was organized in the USA (Chicago) in 1893
year. Since 1895, world championships have been played for
professional sprinters. At the end of the 19th century, they were especially popular
six day races on the track. The first such race was organized in 1896th year in
America.
1883 and
is celebrated as the date of birth of cycling in Russia. Second in importance
for the development of domestic cycling there was a competition held on 23
September 1884 on the Tsarskoye Meadow (Field of Mars) in St. Petersburg. These
speeches accelerated the creation of the Moscow and St. Petersburg societies
amateur cyclists. Already in 1882, the first
Russian cycling society. Charter of the St. Petersburg Society of Cyclists –
amateurs was approved on December 5, 1884.
Bicycle
sport is one of the few disciplines that was represented at all
modern Olympic Games. Moreover, for the participants of the Games of the I Olympiad in
Athens, a track was built that largely meets modern standards. April 8
In 1896, the first Olympic starts were given, in which
cyclists from 5 European countries. French cyclists led the first Olympics
Great Britain, then they were joined by athletes from Denmark, Italy, Germany.
The competition program included five types of races on the track and one on
highway.
During
the I Olympiad has not yet been held by the International Cycling Union (USI),
it will arise only in 1900, but an enviable persistent initiative to include
cycling races in the program were shown by representatives of the International Union of Workers
cyclists “Solidarity”.
Long time
the organizers of the games made up the competition program at their own discretion, sometimes
arranging races only on the track, as was the case in 1900, or only on the highway
at 1904 and in 1912.
In 1908-1972
tandem track races were held.
Contemporary
competition regulations in general terms began to be determined from 1928.
Women for the first time
participated in the Olympics since 1984.
At the modern Olympics, track cycling
presented in six disciplines for men and women :
• Sprint is a 2 or 3 lap race in which
takes part from 2 to 8 riders. The races are held in several stages. Main
– be first at the finish line.
This type
filled with a mass of tactics: from the “surprise” – standing in place, maximum
the duration of which is allowed up to 30 seconds, up to a rather tough fight
for position at maximum speeds.
Whole volume
exciting tactical struggle is regulated by fairly clear rules
international and all-Russian competitions in cycling.
• Keirin represents
a sprint race, the total distance of which is about 1.5 km, in which
riders start the fight after passing a few laps behind the motorcycle,
who leaves the track for 3 laps (for tracks of 250 m) before the finish line. For
tracks of other lengths, the motorcycle must leave the track approximately 750 m before
finish.
Racing
4 to 8 riders participate. Competitions are held in 1-2 rounds with “Hope” races.
Quantity
laps without a motorcycle must equal the number of laps behind a motorcycle. After
the departure of a motorcycle that has reached a speed of up to 50 km / h, the dynamics of the race resembles a finish
spurt, like in a sprint.
• Team Sprint presents
a competition in which two teams start from opposite sides,
while each participant must lead one circle. Victory is awarded
the team with the best result.
The team consists
of 3 riders and the distance is 3 laps.
• Omnium All-Around: Individual
competition includes four types of competitions held with
the maximum number of riders, which is set according to the capacity
track (24 riders at 250 m.), and is held in one day. Consists of a scratch race,
tempo races, knockout races and points races. For the first three disciplines
riders earn points according to their place: 1st place – 40
points, 2nd place – 38 points, 3rd place – 36 points, etc. Final rating
omnium is compiled after the direct addition of race points earned by
points in the grand total. The winner of the “omnium” is declared the rider who scored
maximum points.
• Command
pursuit – a race with two teams starting on
opposite sides of the track. The winner is the team that catches up
another team, or showing the best time to complete the distance.
Competition,
passing at a distance of 4 km for teams consisting of 4 riders. The result and classification of each
teams are determined by the third team member who finished the race. Time
distance is recorded on the front wheel of the third rider
commands.
Competitions
carried out in two phases:
1)
Qualifying races to identify the top 4 teams against the clock
passing the distance;
2) Finals.
• Madison
is a race in which teams of 2 riders take part, who alternately
replace each other until the intermediate finish with points. Change
carried out by touching the hands of the riders or the torso of the athlete. Only one
a team member is constantly in the race, while a teammate is driving slowly
on the canvas of the track, until he was given a shift. Final places are determined by
in accordance with the points scored, which the teams received at the intermediate
finishes and for laps of advantage.
At
holding the championship of Russia, intermediate finishes are organized: for men
every 20 laps; for women every 10 laps regardless of length
track. The total length of the race for the men’s category is 50 km; For
women 30 km.
Championships
world are held with a more extended program. To the specified Olympic sports
the following are added:
• Git from place
1000 m for men and 500 m for women – individual time trial. Race
It is held in 2 rounds: qualification and final. The top 8 are selected for the final
results after qualifying. The winner is the rider
showed the best time.
• Individual
pursuit race – a race with a simultaneous start of two people,
starting from opposite sides of the track. The purpose of the race is to demonstrate the best
time.
• Points race is
competition for a distance of up to 40 km for men, and up to 25 km for women, in which
the final classification is determined by the number of points scored
riders at intermediate finishes or for distance advantage laps.
• Elimination race – in this event
the participant who crosses the line of the next intermediate finish line last,
drops out of the race. When there are 2 riders left on the track, they play between
a sprint.
• Scratch – individual group race
15 km for men and 10 km for women. The rider who crosses the finish line wins.
slash first given the laps of distance advantage.
Total track
raffled – 36 sets of medals.

Cyclist, lycropedist, distributor – Afisha Daily
Moscow on wheels
Anastasia Romashkevich
May 29, 2017 17:52
On Sunday, a bike parade was held, because of which the Moscow authorities blocked the Garden new ring, and some Muscovites strongly cursed at cyclists. It should be borne in mind that people on two wheels are turning into a serious urban force, which is by no means homogeneous. Afisha Daily broke it down into 10 types.
Cyclist
A frequenter of 60+ cycling events, still cheerful and sociable
Cheerful look – tucked up on the right leg, sandals over socks and a cap faded in the sun. The bicycle grandfather looks like a tourist sent to us from the 1970s in a time machine, but got lost along the way and lost its presentation. He may have a road bike of a good brand like Cinelli, but much more often he rides a bicycle from the mass market – inexpensive, but generously decorated with flags, stickers, reflectors and other trinkets. This character’s social activities are all about chasing trophies: free sponsored souvenirs that are handed out at cycling events. Perhaps he still wears a faded pink T-shirt with the “Rain” logo from the first Moscow bike parade four years ago. However, the experienced people are driven not only by the thirst for freebies, but also by the desire to get lost among the youth – it is not easy for him to find like-minded people among his peers.
Truant
Hostage of parks and embankments, yet afraid to go on the roads
These are the people who sell out the bike paths of Gorky Park, Muzeon and Frunzenskaya Embankment on warm summer evenings. They don’t have their own uniforms or favorite bike models. The only thing that unites them is the fear of car traffic and the tendency to stray into flocks. Fans of cycling go to the city at least in pairs – two-wheeled transport for them is more a reason for communication than a means of transportation. But otherwise, options are possible: it can be a family with children who arrived in the park with bicycles by car, friends and comrades on rental bikes, or girls in flying dresses on Electra cruisers. They drive slowly, with breaks to sit in a cafe and lie down on the grass. The cyclist is the most promising target audience for “Bike to Work” campaigns. Once emboldened and driven out into the street, this type is organically converted into the category of “inhabitants of inner Copenhagen” (see below).
Lycropedist
A man in full sports gear who flies by faster than you can see him
In America, the abbreviation for this category was coined MAMIL – Middle Aged Man in Lycra, that is, a middle-aged man in tight-fitting cycling clothes. Although it is problematic to draw conclusions about the age and even gender of the athlete, since the equipment, including the indispensable helmet and glasses, hides them no worse than the hijab of a woman of the East. For training, they choose Pinarello, Scott, Cube, Orbea or, if you want a budget option, Giant. The main habitats are Krylatskoye, Vorobyovy Gory, Losiny Ostrov and Yaroslavl Highway (this is a popular track for long training sessions). These guys are sharing a frightening statistic from Strava – 100 km per ride at an average speed of 40 km/h. Lycropedists have about the same attitude to the cycling of the city in its current understanding as a participant in the Paris-Dakar rally to motorists standing in a traditional evening traffic jam on Tverskaya. And the real athlete is often skeptical about the prospects of using a bicycle as a transport, pointing out the impossibility of going to work, because there is no shower there. In general, in their case, this is justified.
Renter
A confident user of the city bike rental network, which the Moscow government can be proud of
For the first two years, city bike rental was used by Muscovites mainly for walking along the embankments and boulevards. People painfully trying to purchase a one-time subscription at intractable terminals are still found in abundance. But in the summer of 2015, after the bike rental stations tightly surrounded the Central Administrative District and in some directions reached almost the Moscow Ring Road, many finally began to use bikes for their intended purpose – for short trips. A new type of exemplary user ensures the demand for rental bicycles in the vicinity of business centers, he is dressed in an office suit, carries a folder of papers in a basket and deftly manages a heavy bike. People with the above characteristics have become a noticeable part of the landscape over the past year – and this is a much more important achievement of Moscow cycling than a defective track on the Boulevard Ring. Another valuable feature of the distributor is that he learns to ride on the roadway at a record speed, perhaps because on the sidewalk a clumsy state-owned bicycle becomes a source of stress not only for those around him, but also for the user himself.
Tajik worker
No kidding about them — this is a migrant from Central Asia, for whom a bicycle is cheaper than the subway
Janitors came up with the idea of riding a bicycle to work in the summer long before Moscow bike activists began to propagate it. Many of them speak Russian much better than you think and deserve their own star on the Moscow cycling walk of fame. It’s hard to believe now, but ten years ago, they were the only ones who thought of riding a bike outside the parks. They do very well without bike paths and other improvements, since they mainly move around yards and lanes within the territory entrusted to them for cleaning. Although they can throw themselves through the streets, putting a friend on the trunk. On occasion, such a participant in the movement will be happy to discuss with you your smart bike and even ask about its price, but he himself uses the most economical option: a single-speed low-framed Stels beaten by life or even a broken Soviet Salyut. The indispensable attributes of such a car are a thick metal chain and a fist-sized lock, which are used for parking.
Stridvod
A fundamental supporter of the folding bicycles Strida
in his historical homeland-in England-the Strida brand is now almost unknown, but in Russia the folding bicycles of the A-shaped silhouette have become an object “. There is a brisk sale and purchase of spare parts that are not available in official stores, and joint trips to cycling events are planned. The classic stridovod is not a fashionable girl, as one might think, looking at the extravagant design of these devices, but a man of 30–40 years old, or even older, who appreciates practicality. Stridovod lives with the conviction that his device is the pinnacle of cycling evolution, and loves to talk about it. Especially with like-minded people – the communication of the street breeders resembles a classic men’s day off in the garages with a discussion of technical issues over beer. The meeting of two stridovodov on the street is invariably accompanied by mutual greetings, even if they see each other for the first time: a sect is a sect. What unites its members is, among other things, the ability to ride on the sidewalk, avoiding conflicts with passers-by, in whom ordinary bicycles still cause a mixture of fear and hatred.
Professional cyclist
Cyclist with a large pack on his shoulders and a dangerous habit of riding on sidewalks leisure time on the site “Katushkin “. He is a carrier of specific slang with elements of male chauvinism (see the dictionary on the website of the Caravan cycling club), has a passion for gray-brown-crimson breeches and massive backpacks. Prefers mountain bikes and hybrids. Mandatory attributes include a bicycle computer on the handlebars and a water bottle attached to the frame. Individual representatives of this subspecies are not alien to patriotism and decorate their bicycles with Russian flags and St. George ribbons. A professional amateur retains his love for fast driving even in urban conditions, while he lives with the firm conviction that driving onto the roadway is one of the varieties of suicide. This category of Moscow cyclists has brought up a whole generation of pedestrians who, seeing a bicycle on the horizon, grab children by the hands and press themselves against the walls.
Fixer
Adept of the subculture – one speed, no brakes
The owner of a bicycle with a fixed gear, stripped of any bourgeois excesses, which even include brakes. Such models drive while the owner leans on the pedals, and stops when the pedals are spinning in the opposite direction (not to be confused with a foot brake). Accordingly, another distinguishing feature of the fixer is the legs with raised calves. As well as contact shoes or toe clips, which facilitate extreme pedaling. Otherwise, the appearance of the type is a mixture of ordinary clothes and sports equipment – in any case, he looks like a fashionista. True, it will be possible to consider it only while it is standing still, for example, somewhere in the vicinity of the City Cycle store on Flakon or on the square in front of Kamchatka. But if sport is a game by the rules, then the life of a fixer is a complete violation of them: participation in illegal races, driving in the opposite direction, maneuvers in the extreme left lane and “checkers” with cars on traffic-free highways. And no healthy lifestyle – the fixer has such a warm relationship with alcohol that this summer the Zagovor Brewery even released No Hands ale dedicated to this subculture.
All-weather computer
An employee of an IT company who switched from a car to a bicycle not only for love, but also for convenience
The most devoted supporter of cycling, who does not change his habits even in winter. He makes good money, has a car, however, he uses it only as an excuse for membership in the Blue Buckets group, where he mocks motorists with pleasure. A classic all-weather computer is an employee of some large IT company like Yandex or Kaspersky Lab. When meeting on the street, it can be little different from a real athlete or an avid cyclist. He usually keeps several bikes for different occasions: a road bike for the summer and a mountain bike from the mass market, which will not be a pity to knead the winter mud. He overcomes 10-15 km in one direction – he calculated a long time ago that it is the fastest on a bicycle, and deduced the optimal route by combining trips along city streets, green areas and sidewalks. He is a strong supporter of the development of cycling infrastructure, but does very well without it. If necessary, it can even pass through some tunnel. This is perhaps the only crime that he allows himself – otherwise, he is a completely positive hero, as befits a middle-class person.
Resident of “inner Copenhagen”
Fashionista on a city bike, look for him in the Patriarchs district lives in Copenhagen. He rides a bike like Linus, Peugeot, Pashley, which is not very well suited for curbs, but looks perfect on Instagram. His – or, often, her – photo feed may look like a continuous production, but in life such people are no different from the heroines of the Cycles Lady blog. A resident of “inner Copenhagen” does not see it as a crime to get behind the wheel after a couple of glasses of Rosé or craft beer, and sometimes he gets into the role so deeply that he continues to drive even in winter, giving interviews on the topic “How to keep a divine appearance when Moscow is ears in reagents. Cyclists are often despised by avid cyclists for their hipster look and frivolous mileage (few of them ride more than 10-15 km per day), but they are carriers of all kinds of life hacks that allow you to effectively move around the center on a bicycle, bypassing underground passages and other imperfections of the road infrastructure.
