A state of dreamers and adventurers, Ohio gave us Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, and John Glenn, the first American to orbit the Earth. Wander through the many natural wonders of the Lake Erie coastline, rock out with the kids to your favorite music from the golden days, and find a story to tell when you see Ohio from inside a hot air balloon.
Connect with nature at Ohio’s Lake Erie Shores, where kids can observe nature in its true place at beaches, parks, fish hatcheries, and bird sanctuaries. This region also has many lighthouses, including the oldest continually operated lighthouse in the Great Lakes. Let your children explore the natural wonders of Kelleys Island on foot or with kayaks. This is the biggest fresh water American island in Lake Erie, with 17 miles of coastline, and features the largest exposed glacial grooves in the world, which are sure to stun the kids.
Share your love of rock n’ roll with your children at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. The Beatles exhibit showcases handwritten notes and cards from the band members to each other, guitars used to write infamous songs, and even the band’s wardrobe. Help teach your kids about the influence of music with programs like Toddler Rock, which uses music to bring kids together. Duke Energy Children’s Museum is one of the top ten museums in the country for children and includes exhibits based on science, drama, reading, and art.
Go back to prehistoric times at Kings Island, a huge amusement and water park attraction that features a Jurassic forest area with animatronic dinosaurs. Of course, there are roller coasters galore and live entertainment like fireworks, music, and the chance to hang out with Snoopy and Friends. Conclude your time in Ohio with a spectacular ride on a hot air balloon, which includes a post-flight celebration and toast. If someone in the family is scared of heights, there are tethered balloon options available.

90,000 SIBUR opened the fifth season of the all-Russian project “School of Basketball” in Tobolsk
Tobolsk, May 31, 2021. The fifth season of the SIBUR Basketball School has started in Tobolsk, a social project with the participation of star mentors aimed at supporting youth basketball in the regions. Within its framework, a qualifying stage among young athletes took place in the city. As a result, the winners received an invitation to the basketball camp, which will be held under the supervision of leading Russian coaches. In parallel with the qualifying stage, the SIBUR Educational Module for coaches and physical education teachers took place in Tobolsk.
The all-Russian social project of SIBUR is aimed at supporting young athletes, giving them the opportunity to assess their level and declare themselves, as well as improving the qualifications of the teaching staff in the regions, providing them with access to the most modern teaching methods. Over the four seasons, 4,133 young athletes took part in the SIBUR Basketball School. In 2018-2019, 840 trainers were trained as part of the SIBUR Educational Module.
The qualifying stage was held among boys born in 2006-2007 and 2008-2009. During the training, the mentors selected three basketball players in two age categories. The winners, together with their coaches, will take part in the #SIBURCAMP summer training camp, which will be held at the modern sports base “More sport” in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The best athletes of the camp will be invited to a viewing camp in the youth teams of BC Zenit.
During the selection days, two-day theoretical classes and training seminars were held for trainers and teachers, which were conducted by the leading trainers of the country. The module program includes methods for teaching basketball to children with special educational needs. Within the framework of the project, unified matches were held, when athletes with and without developmental disabilities compete for one team. These competitions demonstrate that sport is one of the most important tools for developing an inclusive society and providing equal opportunities for all people, regardless of their physical or mental characteristics.
Among the mentors of the SIBUR Basketball School were the 2007 European champion in the Russian national team Nikita Morgunov , the most titled coach of the Student Basketball Association Anatoly Laptev and other famous athletes. The project will be curated by professional basketball player Sergey Bykov , Honored Master of Sports, Ambassador and leader of SIBUR’s basketball development program in the regions where it operates.
– SIBUR’s Basketball School unites all the company’s initiatives aimed at developing basketball, promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle in the regions where the company operates , says Sergey Bykov . – This is the key to a healthy, active generation included in society. A team sport, such as basketball, helps to form not only sports skills, but also a variety of personal qualities – an understanding of the value of the team, the breadth of thinking, the ability to make decisions at lightning speed, and others, which will be useful in life to everyone without exception in the future. I am sure that our project will become a powerful impetus for the children to develop and move forward.
Within two months, the selection stages of the project are held in eight cities: Dzerzhinsk, Voronezh, Tomsk, Nizhnevartovsk, Perm, Blagoveshchensk, Tyumen and Tobolsk.Earlier in these cities, as part of the partnership between SIBUR and the National Basketball Association, gambling halls were reconstructed.
For information:
SIBUR’s Social Investment Program “Formula of Good Deeds” was launched on February 1, 2016 in all key cities of the company’s activity and is carried out in six areas that cover all the most important public spheres: urban development, education and science, sports and a healthy lifestyle, environmental protection environments, culture and volunteering.Detailed information about the program is available on the website: www.formula-hd.ru .
