How do Warrior youth composite hockey sticks enhance performance. What factors should parents consider when choosing a stick for their child. Which Warrior models are best suited for different playing styles and skill levels. How can young players benefit from using composite sticks.
The Evolution of Youth Hockey Sticks: From Wood to Composite
The world of youth hockey equipment has undergone a significant transformation over the years, particularly when it comes to hockey sticks. Gone are the days when young players were limited to heavy, inflexible wooden sticks. Today, composite materials have revolutionized the game, offering lightweight, durable, and high-performance options for players of all ages.
Warrior, a leading name in hockey equipment, has been at the forefront of this evolution, developing a range of youth composite hockey sticks designed to meet the unique needs of young players. These sticks combine advanced technology with child-friendly features to help budding athletes improve their skills and enjoy the game to the fullest.
Why Choose Composite Over Wood for Young Players?
- Lighter weight for easier handling and reduced fatigue
- Improved puck feel and control
- Greater durability and resistance to wear
- Consistent performance in various weather conditions
- Customizable flex and kick points for different playing styles
Understanding Warrior Youth Stick Technology
Warrior has invested heavily in research and development to create youth sticks that offer professional-level performance in a package suitable for younger players. Their composite sticks incorporate several key technologies:
Minimus Carbon Technology
This innovative carbon fiber layering process results in a lighter, stronger stick that enhances shot power and accuracy. How does it work? The carbon fibers are strategically aligned to maximize strength while minimizing weight, allowing young players to generate more force with less effort.
True 1 Phantom Construction
Warrior’s one-piece stick design eliminates the need for a fused blade-shaft connection, resulting in a more responsive feel and improved energy transfer. This construction method reduces weight and enhances overall stick balance, making it easier for young players to handle the puck and execute precise shots.
Soft Flex Technology
Recognizing that young players may not have the strength to fully utilize adult-level stick flex, Warrior incorporates softer flex profiles in their youth sticks. This allows smaller players to achieve proper stick flex and improve shot power, even with their developing physiques.
Choosing the Right Warrior Youth Stick: Key Factors to Consider
Selecting the perfect Warrior youth stick involves considering several important factors. By taking these elements into account, parents and coaches can ensure that young players have the tools they need to succeed on the ice.
Player Height and Stick Length
Proper stick length is crucial for developing good technique and maximizing performance. How can you determine the right length? A general rule of thumb is that the stick should reach between the chin and nose when the player is wearing skates. Warrior offers youth sticks in various lengths to accommodate different player heights.
Flex Rating
Flex refers to the stick’s ability to bend when force is applied. For youth players, a lower flex rating (typically between 20-40) is recommended to allow for proper stick flexing and shot development. Warrior provides clear flex ratings on their youth sticks to help guide selection.
Blade Pattern and Curve
The blade pattern affects puck control, shot accuracy, and overall feel. Warrior offers various youth blade patterns to suit different playing styles and preferences. For beginners, a mid-curve pattern is often recommended as a versatile starting point.
Position and Playing Style
Consider the player’s position and preferred style of play when selecting a stick. Forwards may benefit from sticks with a lower kick point for quick release shots, while defensemen might prefer a higher kick point for powerful slap shots.
Top Warrior Youth Stick Models for 2024
Warrior offers a range of youth stick models to cater to different skill levels and preferences. Here are some of the top options available:
Warrior Covert QRE 10 Youth Stick
This high-end model features Warrior’s latest technologies, including the Minimus Carbon technology and True 1 Phantom construction. It’s designed for young players who demand professional-level performance and are looking to take their game to the next level.
Warrior Alpha DX Youth Stick
The Alpha DX is a versatile stick that offers a great balance of power and control. It’s ideal for players who enjoy taking both quick wrist shots and more powerful slap shots. The stick’s Sabre Taper technology enhances loading capabilities, allowing for faster shot release.
Warrior Ritual V1 Youth Stick
Specifically designed for young goaltenders, the Ritual V1 features a reinforced paddle and blade for improved durability and puck deflection. Its lightweight design helps young goalies maintain quicker reactions and reduce fatigue during long games or practices.
Maximizing Performance with Warrior Youth Sticks
Having the right stick is just the beginning. To truly benefit from Warrior’s advanced youth stick technology, players should focus on developing proper technique and understanding how to leverage their equipment’s features.
Proper Grip and Hand Positioning
Encourage young players to experiment with different grip techniques to find what feels most comfortable and allows for the best control. Generally, the top hand should be placed at the top of the stick, with the bottom hand positioned to allow for a full range of motion during shooting and stickhandling.
Shooting Technique
Practice various shot types to take full advantage of the stick’s flex and kick point. This includes wrist shots, snap shots, slap shots, and backhand shots. Proper weight transfer and follow-through are key to maximizing shot power and accuracy.
Stickhandling Drills
Utilize the lightweight nature of Warrior youth sticks to improve puck control and dexterity. Incorporate stickhandling drills that focus on quick movements, soft touches, and maintaining puck control while in motion.
Maintenance and Care for Warrior Youth Sticks
To ensure longevity and consistent performance, proper care of Warrior youth sticks is essential. Here are some tips to keep the stick in top condition:
- Store the stick in a cool, dry place when not in use
- Avoid leaving the stick in extreme temperatures, such as a hot car
- Use stick tape to protect the blade and enhance puck control
- Regularly inspect the stick for signs of damage or wear
- Clean the stick with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris
The Future of Youth Hockey Stick Technology
As technology continues to advance, what can we expect from future iterations of Warrior youth sticks? While specific details are closely guarded, industry trends suggest several potential areas of development:
Smart Stick Technology
Integration of sensors and data tracking capabilities could provide valuable insights into shot mechanics, stick flex, and overall performance. This technology could help young players and coaches identify areas for improvement and track progress over time.
Advanced Materials
Ongoing research into composite materials may lead to even lighter, stronger, and more responsive sticks. New fiber combinations or manufacturing processes could result in sticks that offer unprecedented levels of performance for young players.
Customization Options
As 3D printing and other advanced manufacturing techniques become more accessible, we may see increased opportunities for personalized stick designs tailored to individual player preferences and body mechanics.
Warrior’s commitment to innovation in youth hockey stick technology continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible for young players. By combining cutting-edge materials, advanced construction techniques, and a deep understanding of the unique needs of developing athletes, Warrior is helping to shape the future of youth hockey one stick at a time.

Poll of the week: When was the last time you fought?
On the eve of February 23, people in Russia traditionally think a lot about the upbringing of the stronger sex and the defenders of the Motherland. Do you agree that “kindness must be done with fists”, especially in the conditions of our country? And how to bring up a real man in modern society? BUSINESS Online is answered by Marat Akhmetov, Farid Abdulganiev, Lutfulla Shafigullin, Alexander Shadrikov, Firdus Tyamaev and others.
Marat Akhmetov
Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan:
– How how? Haven’t fought for a long time ( smiles at ). Well, it happened in childhood. Kindness should not be with fists, everything must be decided with words. And then you must not insult, not humiliate a person. In the modern world, a man must be educated, cultured, intelligent and a hard worker.
Rafis Khabibullin
Minister of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan:
– Yes, I fight every day – with my grandson ( laughs ). Kindness has always been with fists. In my understanding, this is the defense of one’s honor or someone who is right. If a man stands for good, there is nothing wrong with a fight, but, of course, within the norm of the law. A family brings up men, a father is an example, if there is an older brother, then he is. For example, I don’t have him, but I have a younger one. My younger brother always said that he looked at me, and I looked at my father, uncle. They worked all their lives in the police, back in the Soviet years. Of course, I wanted to be like them, especially my father. Although he did not have enough time for us. We were raised by our grandmother. Nevertheless, we did not have a choice of profession, we are hereditary policemen – both me and my brother. Family, then school and the army – that’s what brings up a man. If some period has failed, I believe that this may be a minus in raising a man.
Feofan
Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan:
– Good cannot be with fists. These are different things, and they have nothing to do with Defender of the Fatherland Day. Strength is not in the fist, but in the spirit of man. The qualities of a real man are always the same: honesty, courage, the ability to protect the weak and never put your “I” in the first place. If we talk about the defender of the Fatherland, then his defense should be his priority. If difficult times come for the Fatherland, if it is in danger, a man must be ready to defend it. The Gospel very correctly says that there is no greater love than if someone lays down his life for his neighbors, which our soldiers did, say, during the Great Patriotic War.
Farid Abdulganiev
Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan for small business development, former Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan:
– My father is an army commander, he raised me and continues to educate me in a strict discipline regime. I believe, when they talk about this holiday, a very important aspect is the strictest discipline: get up on time, sleep, we sometimes forget about such things. And they fought at school, institute. Fighting is a form of fighting, it doesn’t have to be physical. The main thing is that there is a reason. When you need to defend the truth, your interest or protect someone – is it a fight or not? It is better, of course, to resolve everything peacefully. The written truth. But that’s why men are given fists, so that, when necessary, and this may even be a gateway, to protect themselves and loved ones. When we talk about masculine qualities, this is one of the main ones.
I have two daughters, I bring them up in such a way that worthy men will be nearby in due time. And men must be brought up strictly, especially in our time, when there are so many temptations and a person can get lost somewhere. Therefore, as I said, discipline, order and decency are needed. Through your publication, I appeal to my colleagues, men, I wish to behave in such a way that you can say: “This is a man!”
Lutfulla Shafigullin
Chairman of the GS RT Committee on Economy, Investments and Entrepreneurship:
– I never fought. Probably happened at school. He graduated from a military school and served in the Soviet army, there were moments, but only for the purpose of defense or protection. Good cannot be with fists. You can’t do good with fists, it’s evil. You need to educate men by personal example, work, show: do as I do. Through good it is necessary to educate men.
Firdus Tyamaev
singer:
– I have never had to fight, I solve all issues peacefully. But I completely agree with the fact that kindness should be with fists. A man needs to be brought up the way we were raised, and we were afraid of parents, teachers, but now, on the contrary, we are afraid of our children. It shouldn’t be like that, that’s for sure.
Alexander Shadrikov
Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan:
– I probably fought only in kindergarten for some toys, I don’t remember anymore. I do not agree that kindness should be with fists, it should be kind. It is necessary to educate the defenders of the Fatherland in creation, teach them to appreciate what we have, protect their loved ones, relatives and do a good deed.
Abdullah Dubin
local historian, ex-TV announcer:
– To fight or not to fight – it depends on the breed of a person. We are the Stalinist generation, then there was a motto: “Who loves people, he lives longer.” So, thank God, it never came to fights, and in general, this is not my style. Kindness must be not only with fists, but may be armed. Because Vladimir Putin starts from the wrong end, he wants to overwhelm with money, but you have to start with education. Now television is an academy of banditry and prostitution, that’s another problem. And a real man always loves those around him, respects his family, you need to instill this.
Renat Mistakhov
General Director of Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation:
– The last time I fought was back in the technical school, it was the beginning of the 90s. A man should be able to stand up for himself and those who cannot defend themselves. I have three sons and a daughter. I bring them up very simply, my boys are all February, one has a birthday on the 11th, on the second on the 13th, on the third on the 16th. This year one turned 24, the other – 20, the third – 10 years old. Before February 23, I always spend their birthdays in the context of Defender of the Fatherland Day. These are paintball, disassembly-assembly of machine guns, football – sports and field events. That allows the guys to form as men. But the most important thing is that the spirit of the team should be shoulder to shoulder, so that the boys feel friendship, a team. And every year I spend it before February 23 to awaken in them the desire to be officers. The eldest has already received officer epaulettes from me, and the second one is studying at the military department, also to become an officer.
Mikhail Skoblionok
Entrepreneur, President of the Jewish National-Cultural Autonomy of the Republic of Tajikistan:
– I waved my fists about 50 years ago, probably. After that, he began to work with his head, and not with his hands. Any person should be able to stand up for himself: in youth we defend ourselves with our fists, at age we already use our brains, but goodness does not come just like that and it must be defended. To raise a real man, you don’t need to give him money, let him learn how to earn money himself. There is such a good anecdote. One person is asked: “What is a man?” He answers: “A man is the one who has money, and if there is none, then this is a male. ” A man should be able to earn money, support a family, help his elderly parents.
Almir Mikheev
Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, member of the Just Russia party:
– I fought the last time at school, probably. Ah, no! At a training session with a trainer two years ago, when I was still engaged in hand-to-hand combat and boxing. The man needs it. I am categorically against the model imposed by the Soviet Union, the pattern of behavior when everyone should be kind. A man needs to be raised in such a way that he is a fighter, so that he is ready to defend himself, his family, and his homeland with weapons. Boys should grow up as boys and girls should grow up as girls. There are gender differences, you can’t get away from them. A man must be strong and ready to stand up for himself at any moment. I have daughters, I still only dream of a boy. If my son is born, I will try not to spoil him and send him to some kind of contact sport where you have to fight.
Ilshat Ganiev
General Director of Maisky Greenhouse Plant LLC:
– How long have I been fighting? I don’t remember when, probably at school. How did they say before? They threw a stone at you, and you answer kindly. That’s the only way it should be. Life educates men. It was easier for us, today it is a little more difficult. We are already aged people, we were brought up in Soviet times, it was one thing, today it is another. I’m not saying that now men are poorly educated, but still there is less humanity. They are specific, they are engaged in finance, economics, production, but now there is less humanity.
Mansur Gilyazov
playwright:
– I have never fought at all in my life, I am not physically ready for this, I would be glad to fight, but I have such a breed: small fists, weak hands, I did not go in for sports. I grew up in such an amazing family, where it was believed that only bad boys go in for sports, that you are a future professor, academician, we were taught from childhood that you should read books, draw, play music. It used to be that in all subjects you must have fives, and in physical education you can even get a deuce.
A man must be physically strong, because I don’t know how to fight and never did it, I always suffered. I really want to hit someone in the head. A real man can be brought up to stay away from the Internet, cell phones, to feed normally with natural products without nitrates, any chemicals. Everything is very simple, since it is connected with the basic instincts, they fade away, that is, humanity will kill itself because of this Internet. People will stop reproducing themselves. Women are not able to give birth, and men are not able to reproduce children. The number of such people is growing exponentially. A generation has come where men do not need women and vice versa, and there are more and more such people. Therefore, a strong man who knows how to fight today, I think, is worth it. But I know how to fight spiritually. That is, inside, in my soul I am a warrior, but in real life I am a weakling, this is the whole drama.
Aidar Shagimardanov
President of the Association of Muslim Entrepreneurs of the Russian Federation:
– I am engaged in martial arts, so I participate in combat fights several times a week in training. If you recall a street fight without rules, for some serious reasons, then most likely it was at school. Kindness should be with a pure heart, with the right intention, but men should always have fists, because it is not known when and what will happen.
A man is first of all a defender of his family, home, and then the Fatherland and the whole society, if someone does injustice somewhere, then he should always be able to stand up for himself and his homeland. We Muslims have the right answers to the question of how to raise a real man. We must live according to the Koran and the Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad. Everything is written there, if a person begins to comply with these postulates, laws, then he will always be a real man.

Children and war
Korney Chukovsky
Observations
When the First World War began, Korney Chukovsky, who from his youth was
attentive to children’s sayings and to child psychology, published in 1915 in
magazine “Niva” article “Children and War”, where he gave a deep and accurate analysis of how children
see, understand, perceive and evaluate the war (the material was their own
observations, as well as letters from parents who, at his request, kept records of conversations
their children and sent to the editor).
K.I. gives many examples of children’s selfless help and compassion,
but also truthfully and “without cuts” describes cases of cruelty and hatred towards the “German”
(more precisely, to the generalized “image of the enemy”) in children’s games, conversations, writings, etc.
Chukovsky anxiously asks questions: “What to do? <...> Is it good
is it that a six-year-old child craves to kill and maim? Is it good that he continuously
lives with impressions of blood, murder and malice? How to save the precious souls of children from
catastrophic effects of the war? And affirms the reader in a paradoxical thought: war
gave birth in children’s hearts not only hatred, but also love, compassion. “Their [children’s]
souls are so magically arranged, – Chukovsky believes, – that catastrophic over them
not powerful.” “When—before this world war—could one dream of such a unity
children for such a great cause?” The modern reader now has the opportunity to read
this article and draw your own conclusions.
Editorial
In 1980 they will point to some old man and whisper: – He still remembers the World War!
And now this old man is a six-year-old. He stands somewhere near the fence and, sticking out his childish
little belly, sedately and solidly, contemplates how huge Germans enter his native village.
Or, clutching at her mother’s skirt, she squishes along the viscous road and rejoices that she sees fires:
they are so pretty and red!
Or he buries himself in the cellar with his sisters and listens to the guns thumping.
Or in a comfortable nursery, among toy airplanes and guns, drawing in notebooks
galloping Cossacks and Wilhelms.
Or in Brussels he teases German soldiers, sticks out his tongue and shouts that they will soon
get kicked out of here!
Or in Paris, on the Place de L’Opera, watching the nimble German flyer darting between the clouds.
Or, like Petya Rostov, he runs to the front lines: “Goodbye, dear parents, I’m going
defend Russia!
The entire multimillion-dollar children’s kingdom, in Europe, in Australia, in Asia, has now been captured
war.
What will become of this fateful generation growing up amidst thunders and fires? How to reap
is it our blood crop?
After all, this whole war is for their sake, for the sake of our future citizens, for their freedom and joy.
Whether they will be happy, who knows! They will get the fruits of our sacrifices; will they thank
us for an inheritance?
They will be our judges, evaluators of our deeds. Who will say how many Karamzins
Klyuchevsky now runs around in short pants! Will they condemn or acquit us? Let’s try
to be justified. Their judgment will be the judgment of history, and this is the only judgment
afraid.
To them I dedicate these lines.
I. Exaltation
Cook got angry with his mother:
– You … Wilhelm’s daughter! he told her slowly, with pain.
Mama never imagined before how fiercely he hated Wilhelm.
Actually, he’s kind of a jerk. I saw a picture in the newspaper “Types of Austrian Germans”
and began to beat her with his fist: “Nasty, nasty Germans!”
And he fights non-stop, every minute – with chairs, tables, chests of drawers, with his own
shadow, with his own reflection in the mirror, with teddy bears, dolls. All Bears
he has bandaged with rags: they are wounded, lying in the infirmary.
And it goes to the chairs when, in a militant fury, he imagines himself to be Kuzma Kryuchkov.
Scatter in different directions under the blows of a crushing saber!
He is a lonely boy, without comrades. And every impression of war with excessive passion.
Especially in the first months. It was a complete fire. He then turned green and lost weight.
Huge heaps of zeppelins, spies, bombs,
land mines, dreadnoughts … At first, he spoke only in a whisper, as if about something mysterious, –
and then only with his mother, only face to face, and only then he grew bolder, blew the trumpet,
pounded on the drum and, seeing the officer on the street, began to salute him – in love,
reverently…
The exaltation reached the point of soreness. His nurse’s brother, a soldier, leaving for Warsaw, came
to him in the nursery and in parting said:
– You pray for me and for all Russian soldiers.
The boy did not answer, but his mother and nanny noticed that he was puffing up to suppress
tears. Mom caressed him, and with sobs he told her that he was a terrible criminal
and a sinner unworthy of praying for soldiers, because in the summer, when collecting collections,
killed a lot of butterflies!
With the same excess he adores Kuzma Kryuchkov. This is his greatest idol. Somebody
told his mother that Kryuchkov had been killed. She hid this news from her son so that he
did not get sick from misfortune.
To an exalted seven-year-old boy, everything that relates to the Russian army seems
sacred and divine. He was lying in bed, with a cold, when they brought him
mug to collect some donations. He jumped up, kissed this mug, kissed
to her, as to an icon, and lowered his cherished pennies there.
During the illness, he did not moan and did not complain:
– And I endure with the soldiers! he whispered happily to his mother.
– Does it hurt you?
A soldier must not speak if it hurts.
Neurotic. Extremely impressionable. When they gave him a gun, he ran to
geographic map and – bang! – fired directly at Germany.
I killed Wilhelm! I killed Wilhelm! he yelled with wild joy.
His usual condition is trembling, feverish military excitement. He even goes to sleep with drums
guns, cannons, no worse than the kid that is depicted in our photograph.
Guns, sabers, drums, banners, knives are now the only toys of children …
And while in the field
In poppies all the borders,
My boy brought from the nursery
Two shiny knives.
It is now all over the world – in London, Toronto, Melbourne, Saratov, Irkutsk,
in Klyazma. Every nursery has been turned into an arsenal. All furniture, all toys have been mobilized.
It seems that if we collect all the weapons that our six-year-old, seven-year-olds are now rattling
warriors, then nothing will remain of the enemy: it will be instantly crushed and destroyed. Children
do not suffer, as we do, from a lack of shells. For them, each stick is a gun, each
a chip is a projectile. According to one observer, even looking at a French bun, a child
is carried away by the idea that this is a bomb to exterminate the Germans.
And in the “Russian School” I recently read how a little boy grabbed a long
Parisian bread and began to make rifle techniques with it, exclaiming:
– It’s a gun! It’s a gun! You can go to war to kill the Germans!
Even bread was turned into a weapon.
What does it take for a bathing child to turn his own finger into a British one?
submarine and sink in these soapy waters a huge German squadron, consisting
from a sponge and a thermometer!
The children are well armed. Their Krupp factory is nature itself. She supplies them
as cores and bullets, fir cones, snowballs, pebbles, apples, pears.
“My boys fight all day long,” one mother writes in her diary. – The roof of the new
the attic is their favorite position, and the pears mercilessly plucked from the tree are bullets …
The battle is hot. You can’t walk through the yard. I wonder how they don’t cry from what they get
blows. I feel that there are many harmful moments here, and I do not know how to react to it.
Is such a flare-up of passions permissible? Seryozha is especially excited … Hatred and
There is a lot of malice in this game.”
II. Who is guilty?
What to do? How to protect these Cook and Seryozha from such a “flare-up of passions”, from a nervous
painful hatred?
Is it good that a six year old wants to kill and maim? Is it good that he
constantly lives with impressions of blood, murder and malice?
What should fathers, mothers, teachers, educators do? How to Save the Precious Souls of Children
from the catastrophic effects of the war?
“The war will coarsen their morals, harden their hearts,” one intelligent woman writes to me.
– I try to distract them from the war, because at this age they only understand the facts,
and the facts bring only horror.
But is it possible for weak motherly hands to shield war from children? And do they have the right to obscure
from children to the universal, world phenomenon, by which humanity now lives? Need to
children’s heart beat in unison with the whole world, would gradually attract to the universal
life, and not stagnant under glass, in a greenhouse, fenced off from all winds and frosts.
But how can one protect him from malice, savagery, coarsening, and nervousness?

Published letter from Maria Lvovna Zinoviev, wife of Priest Zinoviev (and
mother of six children) from the city of Yaroslavl, preserved in the archive of Korney Ivanovich
Chukovsky. Chukovsky, being at 1910 years as an employee of several St. Petersburg publications,
at the beginning of the First World War, he asked readers to report on the attitude
children to war (largely based on these responses, the article “Children and War” was written
1915). This letter – is one of such surviving reader’s
responses.
The letter shows how passionately and personally the children perceive the tragedy of what is happening
(“And I endure with soldiers …” – says a seven-year-old boy), and together
at the same time, a non-aggressive, sympathetic, compassionate attitude is brought up and maintained in the family.
attitude both to their “warriors, soldiers”, and to representatives of the enemy side (“Wounded
not an enemy”)… As it is said in later verses: “And with all my strength I pray for
those and for others. ..»
Apparently, the letter was written at the beginning of the war; exact date of writing
not installed.
Editorial
Your Majesty!
With great satisfaction (if I am not too late) I fulfill your desire and want to inform
You something about the attitude of children to the war. Maybe what I’m describing will be very good. \Very\
insignificant, since, unfortunately, I am neither a teacher nor an educator, and
\…\ the ability to observe only their children. I have six of them: 5 girls
and 1 boy. All of them somehow express sympathy for the suffering homeland. Especially
but two younger ones reacted warmly to this question: Tusya, 9l. and Kolya, 7 years old. Before
holiday R.H. their \patriotic\ mood affected in all its strength. They refused
from the pleasures of the holiday and, desiring to help the wounded warriors, guided by my advice,
decided to take part in postcards. One is in the form of a soldier, and the other is in the costume of a sister of mercy.
Wishing to come to their aid and express more clearly their feelings of concern, to the point of tears
overflowing in their hearts, I invented or rather molded three feelings into the form of simple
poems for these postcards, which they sold on one of the \patriotic?\….
concerts in favor of the wounded and decorated those who entered with flags bought with this money.
(The ribbons on the flags were patriotic, the proceeds fell into the mugs given to them
“Red Cross”. Thus they collected 46 r. 83 k. There was no end to the joy. But
I must say that Tusa (which is filmed here) did not have to collect in favor of the wounded:
she fell ill just before the concert, and therefore her sister Nina collected 12 liters. When
we were leaving, I brought the mug intended for collection to Tusa’s bed. She cried
and kissed the mug , put the first ribbon into it – the last \penny\) …
After the concert, that is, during the gathering, my little son also caught a cold, he fell ill, but in his eyes
pure joy sparkles: “And I endure with the soldiers …” Or later: “To the soldier
you can’t say that it hurts … “ Impregnated with deep respect and touching attention
boy to Kuzma Kryuchkov, idealizing him and his feat. We have heard rumors many times
that Kryuchkov was allegedly killed. I hid it from the impressionable Kolya; but once he heard
he was nervous all the time and when he found out that he was alive and granted an officer, he burst into tears
with joy, clung to me, and only the shuddering, thin shoulders of my son
pointed out that he was crying, crying tears of joy and gratitude to God, cat. He prayed.
His first prayer after his father and mother was for the “warrior Kuzma” as a faithful servant
Father-king. My son has adored the Sovereign Emperor since he saw him during
His \travel with us in Yar.\
“I always loved the Tsar,” says Kolya, “but as I peered into His kind eyes, I simply
I can’t forget.”
With great pleasure he visits the infirmary, where I am on duty, with touching care.
regarding the soldiers. I do not oppose my son’s ideal attitude towards them, on the contrary,
the desire to put gifts under their pillows when the Christmas star rises (as
I do this to my children) with a request to the sisters of the infirmary not to reveal his secrets. soldiers
ours are very responsive and loved my son very much. He goes to them without fail \ with a knapsack \
private, strictly \fulfilled\, comforts them as he dares, plays checkers (they taught him)
and finally drinks tea with them and \considers it for . ………. happiness \. If not, then the soldier
asks: “Did Nikolai come? Why isn’t he there?!” Or write him a note. boy he
smart, religious, terribly kind and at the same time very lively. Now he’s playing
mainly into the war, forcing his sister Tusya to participate, putting on her
a cap and a gun, and he \…\ in a hat with a saber, and vice versa. Lie in the trenches, wound
Austrian and then look after him – “The wounded is not the enemy,” they say, apparently repeating
ever heard phrase; marching to the song I invented: “We are soldiers
dashing, amicably, cheerfully we go; we will become a breast for the fatherland, we will smash all the Germans … Let
Turks, Germans will know that trouble has come to them, let the Austrians hear our formidable
“hooray!”. They go and beat the beat.
Kolya loves to put on performances together with Tusya, which he himself invented (of course,
among their own). The older sisters are also included. He himself writes programs in favor of the wounded and asks
donate … After that, I watched where he put the money away. The son did not see me: he approached
to the images, prayed, bowed to the ground and lowered the money into a mug standing here
“Red Cross”, and so several times. Once\…\ he cut a cannon out of cardboard and,
wishing to portray the cowardice of the Austrians, he hid behind it, waiting for a signal to fire.
But suddenly the Austrian is frightened by a flying crow (a ball thrown by his sister), and he shouts
horror rushes under the cannon. Sometimes Kolya is overcome by a thirst for heroic deeds for his homeland, and he writes
verses himself: “Do not be sad, dear mother, because I will return home. Know my destiny
such as to go to war … You do not know, dear mother, how I will fight the enemy; You
you don’t know, dear, that I will return with a cross !!! . .. ”
Now forgive me for the incoherent story, for inconsistency and digressions, for the lack of
eloquence and do not ridicule my attempt to convey to you what they feel and how they live now
small hearts. After all, you only asked for material, although it may not even be worth it.
your processing. Forgive me for not writing well – I come off every minute.
Happy if I can be helpful
