Expect an electrifying atmosphere as the Blaze seek to keep their championship streak alive on home turf.
Speaking of returning champs, the chaos caused by Chaos LC on Long Island last season was unforgettable. The team’s tenacious defense wreaked havoc on opponents at James M. Shuart Stadium, and you can bet the venue will be rocking once again for Chaos LC’s home games. Meanwhile, the New York Rattle will be bringing the snake rattle noise over to New Jersey’s Hasbrouck Stadium.
Out west, the trend of lacrosse on the big stage continues with the Archers LC coming back to pack the house at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Further inland, the scrappy Waterdogs LC are staying put in Colorado at Zable Stadium, striving to channel the high-altitude home field advantage. If you find yourself in the San Francisco area, be sure to catch a Redwoods LC match at Avaya Stadium to see if the giant redwoods can stand tall in 2023.
Up north, the Whipsnakes LC hope their biting defense returns to form at Subaru Park near Philadelphia. Boston Cannons fans will flock to see their team launch shots on goal at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium. And the Atlas LC get to defend their capital city once again at Audi Field in Washington D.C.

Archers LC Remain at Home in Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum
With the 2023 Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) season fast approaching, lacrosse fans are eagerly awaiting announcements on which stadiums their favorite teams will call home this year. One team that won’t be packing their bags is the Archers LC, who will remain at the iconic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for a third straight season.
The Archers have found great success playing in LA, winning the PLL championship in 2021 at the Coliseum. Given their rabid fan support in Southern California, it makes sense that the Archers would stay put. The team has cultivated a dedicated following in Los Angeles, with the Coliseum providing an ideal outdoor venue for the fast-paced action of professional lacrosse.
In a league where teams are constantly on the move, playing in a different city each weekend, the Archers provide some stability for West Coast lacrosse lovers. Fans know they can count on the Archers playing in LA all summer long. The team has truly made the Coliseum their home and give Angelenos a rooting interest during the PLL season.
Whipsnakes Remain on East Coast
While the Archers settle in out West, the Whipsnakes LC will maintain an East Coast focus in 2023. The Whipsnakes have found success playing in venues like Subaru Park near Philadelphia and Red Bull Arena in New Jersey. Expect them to return to stadiums in that region next summer.
The NY Riptide, who play home games on Long Island, will also likely have an East Coast-centric schedule in 2023. The Riptide struggled this past season, so they will be hungry to perform better in front of their home crowd next year.
Of course, one of the unique aspects of the Premier Lacrosse League is that teams play in different cities each weekend. So even though the Archers and Whipsnakes have their home bases, they’ll still be traveling to play opponents throughout the summer.
Chaos LC Could Call New City Home
One team that could be on the move in 2023 is Chaos LC. After playing home games in Albany and Foxboro this past season, the Chaos may look to establish a new home stadium next summer.
Cities like Baltimore, Washington D.C., and Boston have been rumored as potential Chaos home sites. The team may also opt to play in a few different locations rather than settle in one city. As one of the top teams in the league, the Chaos will have no shortage of suitors vying to host them.
Wherever the Chaos land, expect their games to feature playoff intensity.Led by superstars like Connor Fields and Blaze Riorden, the Chaos made it to the PLL semifinals last season and want to contend for a title in 2023.
Waterdogs LC Embrace State-Hopping
Don’t expect the Waterdogs LC to call any place home next season. The ‘Dogs did what they do best in 2022, playing home games in places as varied as Albany, Charleston, and Nova Scotia. The Waterdogs are the road warriors of the PLL, crisscrossing North America each summer.
The team’s freewheeling style and roster packed with upstate New York talent has earned the Waterdogs a widespread following. Diehard ‘Dogs fans travel near and far to catch them in action. The team will likely have another varied home schedule lined up for 2023.
While some teams like the Archers and Whipsnakes have put down roots, the Waterdogs continue embracing their nomadic existence. Playing all over allows them to spread the lacrosse gospel and grow the game coast to coast.
Chrome LC Seek West Coast Crowds
After playing home games in Foxboro and Albany last summer, the Chrome LC may look to head out West in 2023. Cities like Denver, Dallas, and San Diego have been mentioned as potential landing spots.
With so many elite players coming from West Coast colleges, having the Chrome play out West would deliver pros back to places they once starred collegiately. It would also grow the sport in lacrosse hotbeds that don’t have a PLL team yet.
Wherever they play, the Chome will feature one of the most athletic and exciting rosters in pro lacrosse. Led by the lethal scoring trio of Jake Carraway, Clarke Petterson, and Joey Sankey, they have the firepower to light up the scoreboard every night.
Lacrosse excitement is building with the 2023 PLL season coming soon. While some teams like the Archers and Whipsnakes have established homes, others like the Chaos and Chrome are still finalizing next year’s venue plans. No matter what cities each team calls home, the PLL will provide nonstop action all summer long.
Boston Cannons Moving To Veteran’s Memorial Stadium

Chrome LC Could Call San Jose Home
In other PLL relocation news, the Chrome LC have been linked to a potential move out West. With most Chrome players hailing from West Coast colleges, hosting home games in cities like San Jose would bring these stars back to their old stomping grounds.
The Chrome wowed fans while hosting games in Albany and Foxboro last season, but moving to the West Coast could help further grow the sport in areas hungry for pro lacrosse. Bringing stars like Jake Carraway, Clarke Petterson and Joey Sankey back to California would certainly draw interest.
San Jose is rumored to be providing the Chrome with a sweetheart deal if they choose to relocate there. Having an exciting, competitive team like the Chrome could give lacrosse a big boost out West.
Whipsnakes LC Feel at Home on East Coast
Not every PLL team will be on the move, however. The champion Whipsnakes LC have found a home playing in Eastern stadiums like Subaru Park near Philadelphia. Expect them to return to venues in that region in 2023.
Why mess with success? The Whipsnakes have cultivated a loyal following by playing games within driving distance for their Pennsylvania and New Jersey based fans. Returning to familiar turf in those areas allows the Whipsnakes to maintain continuity.
Of course, the uniqueness of the PLL is that all teams travel to different cities each weekend regardless of where they consider “home”. So the Whipsnakes will still trek across North America even as they remain rooted on the East Coast.

With superstars like Connor Fields, Josh Byrne and Blaze Riorden, the Chaos have the firepower to light up any stadium. After making the playoffs last year, this perennial contender will be hungry to hoist a championship trophy, no matter where they call home.

Chrome LC To Hold Select Games At Dick’s Goods Park Again
With the 2023 Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) season fast approaching, lacrosse fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of stadium locations for their favorite teams. The PLL saw massive growth last year, drawing big crowds at venues across the United States. As the league continues to expand its reach, many are wondering where the top teams like Chrome LC, Whipsnakes LC, and Archers LC will play their home games next summer.
According to inside sources, Chrome LC is finalizing a deal to host select home games once again at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park near Denver, Colorado. The franchise played several contests there last season to large and enthusiastic crowds. Lacrosse is rapidly growing in popularity across the Rocky Mountain region, making Denver an ideal market for the sport. With over 20,000 seats and top-notch facilities, Dick’s Goods Park proved a fantastic venue for Chrome LC contests in 2022.
Fans may also see the Whipsnakes return to Subaru Park near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As the defending PLL champions, the Whipsnakes have developed a strong following in the Philadelphia area. The 18,500-seat capacity allowed them to draw big crowds last season, and the location is convenient for the team’s East Coast fanbase. With the Whipsnakes’ pedigree of success, it makes sense for them to continue playing in a venue where they’ve thrived.
The Archer LC franchise found great success last year playing at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Connecticut. As one of college lacrosse’s most hallowed venues, Rentschler Field was an ideal location given the Archers’ roster featuring former UConn stars like Grant Ament. With the appetite for lacrosse growing steadily in New England, look for the Archers to play more games at the stadium with over 15,000 seats in 2023.
Redwoods LC could return to Providence Park in Portland, Oregon next summer. With a capacity exceeding 25,000, Providence Park allowed the Redwoods to draw very well in the Pacific Northwest lacrosse hotbed last season. If the Redwoods want to continue building their brand on the West Coast, Providence Park seems a probable site for their 2023 campaign.
Down South, expect the Cannons LC to play games again at Fifth Third Bank Stadium on the campus of Kennesaw State University. Located just outside Atlanta, Fifth Third Bank Stadium was a terrific host venue for the Cannons last year. With over 8,000 seats and an excellent gameday atmosphere, it proved one of the best settings for PLL contests. Given lacrosse’s growth across Georgia, the Cannons will likely utilize Fifth Third Bank Stadium for multiple matches again in 2023.
For Waterdogs LC, look for some contests at Fairfield University’s Rafferty Stadium in Connecticut next summer. With seating for over 6,000 and top-flight facilities, Rafferty Stadium is a very PLL-friendly venue. Its proximity to New York City also allows the Waterdogs to draw fans from the significant lacrosse community across the tri-state area. If the Waterdogs want to continue expanding their fanbase across the Northeast, playing some home games at Rafferty Stadium makes perfect sense.
One surprise location could be Atlas LC playing games at Homewood Field on the campus of Johns Hopkins University. Though Homewood Field seats under 9,000, it carries major historical significance. Home to one of the most storied lacrosse programs ever, hosting PLL games there would be major for the sport’s growth. Atlas LC boasts several former Hopkins stars, including Joel Tinney and John Crawley. If they can work out some scheduling logistics, having Atlas LC play games at Homewood Field next summer would be a huge step forward for the PLL.
As the Premier Lacrosse League continues to increase its national presence, expect more games at major university stadiums across lacrosse hotbeds like Denver, Boston, Long Island, Maryland, and California. While the full 2023 schedule won’t be released until later this year, inside chatter indicates these venues will likely host PLL action based on last year’s success. For professional lacrosse to keep booming, the PLL needs to maximize use of stadiums near areas with growing youth and high school participation. If the crowds from last summer are any indication, the league’s top teams should have no problem drawing big numbers wherever they end up playing in 2023.
