And finally, in the South region, we’ve got #1 Arizona against #3 Texas Tech in a contrast of styles. Arizona has been an offensive juggernaut behind NBA prospect Bennedict Mathurin. But Texas Tech boasts the nation’s best defense and took down Duke already. If Texas Tech can slow down Arizona’s scoring machine, they have a great shot at pulling off another stunner. Give me the Red Raiders advancing to their second Final Four in four seasons.
So if my predictions hold up, we’d end up with a Final Four of Miami, Houston, Arkansas and Texas Tech. No #1 seeds left and zero titles combined between the four schools. Now that would be true March Madness!
