Samantha Bricker was named the Chief Sustainability and Revenue Management Officer for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) in September 2020. She is responsible for overseeing Commercial Development, Mobility Strategy, Sustainability and Environmental Programs, as well as a new Procurement Center of Excellence. Commercial Development will consolidate and manage all key revenue-generating activities, including real estate, concessions and Non-Exclusive License Agreements, or NELAs, as well as all parking and ground transportation. Ms. Bricker also oversaw the third party coordination with external agencies and stakeholders in support of LAWA’s Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP) and Capital Improvement Program. Ms. Bricker joined LAWA in July 2016 as Deputy Executive Director for Project Management and Coordination and in November 2016 was named Deputy Executive Director for the Environmental Programs Group.

2019 (JR*): Started all 19 games on the year… one of the more versatile players on the squad, finished second in scoring (48 points), fourth in goals (33), fourth in ground balls (47) and first in draw controls (97)… opened the year being named the American Athletic All-Conference Preseason Team and ended the year on the American Athletic All-Conference First Team, both of which were the first honors of her career… those 97 draws are a single-season record, surpassing the 70 she recorded in 2018… averaged 5.11 draws per game, ranking her #42 in the NCAA for the season… finished the year scoring at least one goal in the final 12 contests, including four games in a row with hat tricks. .. scored a season-high four goals against Kent State (2/10/19) opening weekend… tallied 11 draw controls in the opener against Ohio State (2/8/19) for the second-most in a single game in program history… named the AAC Midfielder of the Week after scoring three goals, collecting six draws and grabbing four ground balls in a 12-09 win over Temple, the first in program history… twice posted a season-high five points, including 4 goals and 1 assist against KSU and 2 goals and 3 assists against Gardner-Webb (3/24/19)… earned AAC All-Academic honors.
 
2018 (SO*): Returned from an injury that sidelined her in 2017 to have a breakout year in 2019… played and started all 17 games… recorded at least one point in 16 games, including the first 10 of the season, and did the same when it came to scoring goals… had six games in which she scored at least one goal and added at least one assist… tallied a career-high eight points at Butler (4/21/18) with seven goals and one assist… her points tied her for fifth in a single game at UC while her goal total was tied for second… finished the year with nine games of two or more goals scored, including seven hat tricks or better… totaled 36 goals, the #7  single season total at UC… also had 44 points (#6 at UC) to finish third on the team in scoring… selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll April 24 after scoring 10 goals and adding four assists in a three-game span, including her eight point performance against Butler… in that span, she also tallied 10 draw controls at Butler for the third-most in a game at UC while tying for 10^th with seven ground balls… followed that two days later with nine ground balls against ECU for the fourth-most in a single game at UC… led the team in draw controls with a school-record 70, surpassing the 65 recorded in 2012 (Megan Bell)… earned Academic All-BIG EAST accolades at the end of the season.
 
2017 (SO): Started the first five games of the season before suffering an injury… collected a career-high four draw controls at Coastal Carolina (2/24)… dished out a career-high two assists to tie a career high with three points vs. No. 20 Louisville (3/1)… picked up a career-high three ground balls at Detroit (3/10).

2016 (FR): Saw the field in 15 games during rookie season, starting the final 11 contests… scored eight goals while adding two assists… netted first collegiate goal in win over Central Michigan… scored one goal against No. 17 Ohio State… found the back of the cage in consecutive games against UConn and Villanova… scored against No. 2 Florida… had first career hat trick in season finale at Marquette, earning BIG EAST Rookie of the Week accolades.

The dull grunt of the Doberman breaks into the sticky web of sleep. Not nightmarish, but alarming. Viscous turbidity, when it is not clear what will happen, but the heart is already starting to tremble powerlessly.

My fingers are stroking the short hair of the Doberman.

– Hush, Brown. I don’t like rain either. But it will definitely end …

I roll over to the other side. A dark silhouette moves towards the bed, crushing me under its body.

The fingers themselves burrow into the husband’s hair. He presses me tightly into the ribcage, as if he is going to lock me there forever.

– So late! – I complain. – I didn’t wait, I fell asleep. Sorry.

– No. Excuse me. I had to stay.

A hot whisper buries itself in the hair and slides to the ear, burning with caress. I pull my husband over, picking up the fabric of the T-shirt.

– Did you miss?

– Very.

I rub my nose and lips against a man’s neck, inhaling the scent of my beloved man’s skin. I want to drown out the ozone freshness of the rain. I am always uneasy about her. But as luck would have it, my husband smelled like rain.Wet hair, drops of water on the neck.

My husband kisses me and leaves the room. Brown grunts dully, looking out the window. He, like me, does not like rain. We always hide from him together.

Now that Sergey is back, I am relaxing. Rain is just water. Unbeknownst to myself, I fall asleep again.

But the sound of a dull thunderous roll shakes me sharply.

The bed is empty.

Neither husband nor even Brown. Fear pounds me. The thundering rhythm of the heart beating with fear sounds in unison with the thunderous rumblings.

– Brown? Brown … – I call, realizing that the Doberman is not in the room.

Wall sconces with a soft yellowish light are burning in the corridor on the second floor.

I hear rustles downstairs, on the first floor, from the side of the kitchen. Heavy, confident steps.

I freeze on the threshold of the kitchen, seeing only male fingers holding onto the refrigerator door.

The light from the refrigerator suddenly goes out. The light of the wall sconces also fades out instantly. More power outages.

– Brown followed you, huh? I ask, barely audible.

In total darkness, the refrigerator door slams shut. Loud rumble. Flash of lightning. From her it seems to pin me to the place. I know that I am safe. But I am unconsciously afraid and trembling with fear.

The bright light of lightning illuminates the male figure for a moment. Swayed, sculpted body, wide shoulder turn. The husband looks complicated, but another flash convinces me that this is not a husband.

I open my mouth to call for help. But I stifled in a gasp.

A stranger in my house. I don’t know how he got here. I don’t know who he is and what he wants.

The glance manages to grab one piece of the puzzle, then another. They probably go well together, but in my head they add up to a chaotic feeling of helplessness and panic in front of a large, half-naked man.He is wearing only a towel wrapped around his swinging hips.

The clatter of claws is heard on the floor. Doberman poured hot breath on the skin under the knee. This light breeze of breath finally drowns me in a panic with my head.

Another clap of thunder makes me take a step back, and then again and again.

A loud scream breaks the cocoon of silence that entangled me from head to toe.

– Wait. Ir. Ira-ah! The man calls in a low voice.

– Get out! Help!…. Help-and-and-it!

I choke in a desperate scream, rushing to the stairs to the second floor. Bare feet slide over the laminate. I almost stretched out, almost burying my face into the steps of the stairs.

They managed to pull me back and hold me. Embrace. Press down. Immobilize.

– Calm down. Take it easy! – a little sharper, with a steel note that you can cut yourself on.

And about a man – you can definitely get burned. The proximity of someone else’s body hits the nerve endings, as if I had climbed into boiling water with my hand.
