What makes the STX Sc-Ti Pro 30″ Attack Lacrosse Shaft stand out from other shafts. How does its unique alloy composition contribute to its strength and durability. Why do players consider it the top premium handle in lacrosse.
The Revolutionary Alloy Composition of STX Sc-Ti Pro
The STX Sc-Ti Pro 30″ Attack Lacrosse Shaft represents a significant advancement in lacrosse equipment technology. Its unique alloy composition sets it apart from traditional shafts, offering players an unparalleled combination of strength and lightweight performance.
How does this innovative alloy compare to other materials? The Sc-Ti Pro is:
- Stronger than scandium
- Lighter than titanium
- 20% stronger than the original Sc-Ti model
This exclusive STX alloy achieves what many considered impossible: a shaft that is both incredibly durable and remarkably lightweight. For players seeking maximum performance without sacrificing strength, the Sc-Ti Pro delivers on all fronts.
Unmatched Durability: A Shaft Built to Last
Durability is a crucial factor for any lacrosse player, and the STX Sc-Ti Pro excels in this area. Many users report using the shaft for multiple seasons with minimal signs of wear and tear. Are dents and breaks a common issue with this shaft?
According to user reviews:
- Players have used the shaft for nearly two seasons without any dents
- It withstands hard checks and aggressive ground ball contests
- Some users report only minor scratches after extended use
This exceptional durability translates to long-term value for players. While the initial cost may be higher than some alternatives, the Sc-Ti Pro’s longevity often makes it a more economical choice in the long run.
Optimal Weight: Finding the Perfect Balance
The weight of a lacrosse shaft can significantly impact a player’s performance. How does the STX Sc-Ti Pro balance strength and weight? While opinions vary slightly among users, the general consensus is that the shaft strikes an excellent balance.
Key points on weight:
- Described as lightweight by many users
- Some find it slightly heavier than ultra-light options, but appreciate the added durability
- Weight distribution allows for quick, precise movements
For players who prioritize durability but don’t want to sacrifice maneuverability, the Sc-Ti Pro offers an ideal middle ground. Its weight-to-strength ratio is particularly appealing for attack players who need both quick hands and the ability to withstand defensive pressure.
Enhanced Grip: The Advantage of Concave Edges
Grip is a crucial yet often overlooked aspect of lacrosse shaft design. How does the STX Sc-Ti Pro address this important feature? The shaft incorporates concave edges, a design choice that offers multiple benefits to players.
Advantages of the concave edge design:
- Provides superior grip compared to traditional round shafts
- Allows for better control during cradling and shooting
- Enhances the overall look and feel of the shaft
While some users note that the grip can become slippery in wet conditions, this is a common issue with many lacrosse shafts. Some players choose to add tape for extra grip, but many find the concave edges sufficient for most playing conditions.
Ideal for Attack: Designed for Offensive Excellence
At 30 inches long, the STX Sc-Ti Pro is specifically designed for attack players. How does this length benefit offensive players on the field? The shorter length allows for:
- Quicker stick handling in tight spaces
- Improved shot accuracy and power
- Easier maneuverability around defenders
Attack players often face intense defensive pressure and need a shaft that can withstand checks while allowing for quick, precise movements. The Sc-Ti Pro’s combination of strength, weight, and length makes it an excellent choice for offensive specialists.
User Experiences: What Players Are Saying
Real-world experiences often provide the most valuable insights into a product’s performance. What do players who have used the STX Sc-Ti Pro say about their experiences?
Positive feedback from users:
- “The #1 shaft available. Excellent.”
- “If you’re serious about playing defence you need to get this.”
- “Buy this and you will never need to buy another shaft”
- “Finally a shaft that doesn’t break after a year.”
While the majority of feedback is overwhelmingly positive, some users do note potential drawbacks:
- Higher price point compared to some alternatives
- May be heavier than ultra-lightweight options
- Grip can be slippery in wet conditions
Overall, the consensus among users is that the STX Sc-Ti Pro offers exceptional performance and durability, making it a top choice for serious players.
Comparing the Sc-Ti Pro to Other STX Shafts
While the Sc-Ti Pro stands out as a premium option, how does it compare to other shafts in the STX lineup? Understanding these differences can help players make an informed decision based on their specific needs and preferences.
Sc-Ti Pro vs. Scandium Pro
The Scandium Pro is another popular choice among STX shafts. Key differences include:
- Sc-Ti Pro is stronger and more durable
- Scandium Pro is generally lighter
- Scandium Pro is often less expensive
Players who prioritize ultimate durability may prefer the Sc-Ti Pro, while those seeking the lightest possible option might lean towards the Scandium Pro.
Sc-Ti Pro vs. STX Stallion Sc-Ti
The STX Stallion Sc-Ti is the successor to the Sc-Ti Pro. While detailed comparisons are limited, it’s worth noting that the Stallion aims to build upon the strengths of its predecessor. Players considering the Sc-Ti Pro should also research the Stallion to ensure they’re getting the most current technology.
Is the STX Sc-Ti Pro 30″ Attack Lacrosse Shaft the right choice for every player? While its performance and durability are undeniable, the decision ultimately depends on individual preferences, playing style, and budget. For attack players seeking a premium shaft that offers exceptional strength and performance, the Sc-Ti Pro remains a top contender in the lacrosse equipment market.

The #1 shaft available. Excellent.

miscreantdugoutGood:
seriously strong, durable
Bad:
not the lightest shaft
Overall:
I’ve had this shaft for nearly two seasons and there’s no dents on it at all. It’s such a great shaft and feels good. It’s certainly not the lightest shaft going around, but what it lacks in the lightweight category it makes up for in durability. This is the #1 handle on the market.

Strong shaft but just too heavy
review posted 10 years 43 weeks ago by
maurice hernandezGood:
strong, durable, can’t ever see this breaking!
Bad:
too heavy
Overall:
This shaft is too heavy. It is however, unbelievably strong. Looks like STX have gone overboard with the Titanium. Sure it’s good that it’s so strong but it’s virtually unusable because it’s so heavy. The Scandium Pro is a better option. It’s not as strong (but still strong enough) and way lighter and cheaper.

Buy this and you will never need to buy another shaft

strong, light, durable
Bad:
grip gets slippery in wet conditions
Overall:
This shaft is amazing. I don’t know why people waste their money on shafts that dent and bend so easily. It’s money down the drain. The Scti Pro is so light and strong and doesn’t dent. there’s not too much grip on thre shaft, but i just taped it. Don’t waste your money on anything else. If you can’t afford it, save your money then get it.

Finally a shaft that doesn’t break after a year.

allan cooperGood:
doesn’t break, looks cool, not heavy
Bad:
geeze, i can’t fault it
Overall:
I play midfield and on average break 1 shaft a season. I went all out and bought this to see if it made any difference coz I’m sick of replacing handles. After 1 season I have 1 tiny det and a couple of scratches. This shaft is amazing! I recommend it to anayone who breaks shafts coz you won’t break this.

Good:
everything, all shafts should be made like this.
Bad:
absolutely nothing
Overall:
I love this shaft so much. If you’re serious about playing defence you need to get this. This shaft is so strong and durable it allows you to throw hard checks again and again and aggressively contest ground balls. My game went to the next level when I got this handle.
There’s a couple of scratches on it, but no dents. The grip’s pretty good and it’s reasonably light.

The strongest and best shaft on the market
review posted 10 years 42 weeks ago by

Good:
so strong, virtually unbreakable
Bad:
price, it’s not cheap
Overall:
This shaft is the top of the line. I’ve had mine for a couple of seasons and it’s still nearly as new. There’s a couple of scratches and a few chips out of the edges but that’s it. The Scandium and titanium alloy is so strong that it’s virtually unbreakable. I honestly don’t care how hard anyone checks me because nothing can break it!
Considering how strong it is,it’s surprisingly light. I’ve played with heavier shafts before which are nowhere near as strong. Sure it’s not cheap, but if you don’t want to ever buy another shaft, get this.

Good:
everything about it is awesome
Bad:
omg the price
Overall:
If you have the cash, get this. Its so freakin strong. Mine has a couple of small chips out of it and a few scratches but no dents at all. It’s pretty light too and the grip is fantastic. The Scandium Pro is also good if you can’t afford this.
