Boys Program Overview

What to Expect as a Member of our Boys Program

Shamrocks Lacrosse competes in the A or AA club divisions only.  

FALL SEASON: 

Updated for 2022-23:  All Shamrocks youth players (2027-2031) will have the opportunity to participate in 2-3 local, one day lacrosse tournaments or play days.  The 2032/33 teams may play in 1 fall tourney depending on the team composition.

High School aged players (2024-2026) will participate in 3-4 high level recruiting tournaments.  

 All players will participate in team practices in the fall on Sundays (6-8 practices).  The practices are designed so that players can and should participate in other sports (typically Sundays in the mornings).  

High School players will also participate in the Shamrocks Spotlight Series.  The Spotlight Series is a high level training session coached and run by current NCAA college coaches.   A recruiting session will be included with this event.   2024 and 2025 players will also have an online recruiting profile with Sports Recruits.

All players will receive a written evaluation of their fall season performance and the areas they should improve upon through the winter. 

WINTER: 

Winter is a lighter season for us.  All players will have the opportunity to attend 4 training sessions (included) throughout the winter.  It is also recommended that all players should also participate in *positional training programs offered based on their availability.     These *sessions are not included in your registration.

SPRING

All youth teams will practice 1-2 days (Sundays and possibly one week night) per week in the spring not to conflict with your rec/town teams.  Our 2031, 2030, 2029, 2028, and 2027 teams will also participate in the NXT Spring Club league.  We will work on scrimmages and/or play days for the 2032 and younger teams.

SUMMER: 

All players will have Team Practices one to two days per week.  

Shamrocks High School players will participate in 4 high level Recruiting Tournaments.

Shamrocks Middle School players (2027-2030) will participate in 4 very competitive regional tournaments.  

Younger teams (2031-2033) will participate in 2/3 very competitive regional tournaments.

One Team per Age Group.  At least 2 Coaches per team.

Pricing Model-

Our pricing model includes everything listed above (uniforms, apparel, tournament entry fees, coaching, practices, insurance, etc).  Parents of a 2032/33(youth) player can expect to invest $1300- $1600 annually for their child.   Parents of a 2027-2031 (youth) player can expect to invest $1850 to $2300 annually for their child.  Parents of a 2024-2026 (High School) player can expect to invest $2000 to $2400 annually for their child. 

We do not charge a separate fee for each tournament, uniforms, etc.  Our fee is one set fee which covers everything except for optional/additional events.  All registration fees are broken down into 3 payments spread out through the following 9 months.

Coat of arms of Canada

Coat of arms of Canada 070 (fr. armoiries royales du Canada ) ^[11] or, formally, as Arms of His Majesty the King by Right of Canada (French: Armoiries de Sa Majesté le roi du Canada ), ^[16] is the coat of arms of the realms of the Canadian monarch and thus also the official coat of arms of Canada. ^{[15] [17]} In use since 1921, it is very similar to the royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom, with French and distinctive Canadian elements replacing or adding elements borrowed from the British version.

The maple leaves on the shield, marked with the “correct” coat of arms (i.e. natural color), were originally painted green (green), but in 1957, were repainted in red (red), and the crown of the Order of Canada was added to the coat of arms. limited use in 1987. The coat of arms is registered with the Canadian Heraldic Office and is copyrighted by the Crown; they are used to represent national sovereignty, and the federal government uses arms to represent the state in the Federal Identity Program. Elements of the coat of arms are used in other designs as well, with the shield being used in various royal standards, held by members of the royal family, and the coat of arms, serving as the center of the Governor General’s flag.

Before Confederation in 1867, the Royal Arms of the United Kingdom served as a symbol of royalty in Canada. ^[18] Arms were not granted by any of the colonies in British North America, with the exception of 17th century grants from Nova Scotia ^[19] and Newfoundland. ^{[20] [21]} Then by Royal Warrant May 26, 1868 the arms were granted to Ontario, ^[22] Quebec, ^[23] Nova Scotia, ^[24] and New Brunswick. ^[25] (That Nova Scotia had previously been granted arms was forgotten, and it was not until 1929 that the historic arms granted in the 17th century were restored. [19 ^] ). for use on the Great Seal of Canada. Although it was not made for the first Great Seal, it was through this link that this device became the de facto coat of arms of Canada until 1921, ^[26] which was used on the first red flag, which was carried by Canadian troops at Vimy Ridge in 1917 year.

As more provinces and territories were added to Canada, the original four arms were merged with those of the new Confederate members, eventually resulting in the nine-part shield. ^[18] This came about through popular and even Canadian government usage; flag makers began using the elaborate shield on Canadian Red Ensigns. None of these shields, other than the original 1868 four-segment version, has ever been official in any sense, and none of these shields have been a national “coat of arms” as they have never been approved by the monarch. ^[18]

Heraldists found the nine quarters on the shield too confusing for a national symbol, and ^[18] by 1915 attempts began to develop a new coat of arms for Canada. ^[27] A committee, which included Dominion archivist Arthur Doughty, ^[28] was formed in 1919 to resolve the issue, eventually agreeing that elements of the new coat of arms would refer to the royal arms of England, Ireland, Scotland and France, with maple leaves representing Canada, although at the time there was no consensus on how the leaves should be used.
