Girls New England’s Top Prospect Day is BACK! The Relentless Lacrosse Academy is inviting all high school lacrosse players to it’s 6th annual Winter Showcase.
The Showcase will be a fast-paced, high-level training event that is ideal for those who aspire to become a collegiate lacrosse student-athletes. The timing of this event provides players the chance to be seen and coached by top collegiate coaches. The Winter Showcase will run from 10am to 2pm on Tuesday December 27.
The venue for this event is @ the state of the art Teamworks facilty in Winchester MA. The showcase emphasizes development for the participants in their overall lacrosse knowledge and abilities. Advanced offensive techniques and defensive strategies will be covered. Scrimmage play will allow players the opportunity to showcase their abilities.
Or for committed players to sharpen their skills. The participants need to bring their own lacrosse gear and equipment. The showcase is built to be a educational, competitive, challenging and fun training experience.

Nina Vyaha’s Testament: Finnish Family Passions
Writer Nina Vyaha lives in Sweden, her father is from Bulgaria and her mother is Finnish.
Väha knows Swedish, Finnish and can speak the rare Finnish dialect Meänkieli. She worked in a restaurant, acted in films, sings in the indie band Lacrosse. She made her debut as a writer in 2007, and in 2019, as they say, she shot – her novel “Testament” immediately after the release was nominated for several prestigious Scandinavian awards.

Northern family saga is always exciting. Everything happens against the backdrop of nature merciless to man: cold winters, terrible frosts, short, bright, like a flash, summer and magical northern lights. Isolated families live on remote farms – they do not favor strangers and stew in their own juice for years, overcoming or not overcoming internal contradictions, experiencing hatred and love, making mistakes and reaping the consequences of their decisions.
People in the North are closed, harsh to match the landscape. But inside they seethe same passions as some southerners.

A girl named Anni returns home for Christmas to Tornedalen in Finland. Annie lives in metropolitan Stockholm, she is young and does not quite understand what to do with her life, And in her stomach a child is growing – not quite desired, but still carefully loved. Annie herself has an amazing family – twelve brothers and sisters (or fourteen – depending on how you count).
Parents – gloomy embittered Pentti and Siri crushed by everyday life – were shabby in the 20th century. They had a half-starved childhood, the Soviet-Finnish war, many losses. They spend all day on the farm, not really noticing what is happening with their children – they are fed, and that’s fine. And what about these children, as many as twelve people, born and raised under one roof? Each of them has its own character and its own secret, and Nina Vyakha will allow everyone to speak without exception.
Someone in detail, and someone briefly – all of them will tell the reader their story.
Someone you love and someone you want to report to the police.
But there is also a narrator, a completely unbearable type. He mockingly hints at upcoming events at the beginning of each chapter, interrupts the characters and allows himself lyrical digressions. The polyphony in the book is the kind that happens in very large families – when it seems difficult to hear one’s own thoughts.
Through this hubbub (measured and quite, by the way, cozy) thoughts come through about what makes a person the way he is – a family? Upbringing? Environment? Deprivation, trauma and pain? Nina Vyakha, who herself was born in a large family, recalls how important it is to love, hug, kiss your children, no matter how many you have and no matter how busy you are. After all, children are what will continue us when we leave. What will remain to the world as our main priceless testament.
