A coherent collection of men’s apparel and accessories that combines the rich history of traditional Gant style with Michael Bastian’s unique fashion vision and expertly crafted elements of lacrosse’s sporty style. The Gant by Michael Bastian collection includes all the wardrobe essentials for the modern man. A shredded military-style pea coat, a short down jacket and a fitted jacket with contrasting patches on the elbows, warm sweaters, a wide selection of fitted shirts, stylish chinos and distressed patched jeans are the highlights of the collection. The sports theme of the capsule is complemented by rugby shirts with a contrasting collar, shorts, cotton polo shirts and t-shirts with the symbol of the collection – a lacrosse player. While working there, Michael often traveled abroad to purchase expensive goods and brands for the department store chain. Having a professional flair, he, like no one else, understood that men’s fashion needs a fresh breath. In 2006, Michael Bastian founded his own menswear label. His design research soon began to enjoy success with men and critical acclaim, and a year later, in 2007, he was nominated for the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) as the best menswear designer and won in this nomination.
