Russians hacked to death before the playoffs: Buchnevich scored three points, Kaprizov broke another Minnesota record
Meet in the first round.
The NHL regular season is coming to an end, and it is already becoming clear which pairs will be formed in the first round of the playoffs. In the West, the confrontation between St. Louis and Minnesota will be very interesting – they occupy 2nd and 3rd place in the division without much chance of changing their position in the table, so team coaches can already prepare layouts and notes on the opponent.
And it will be a very interesting couple – first of all, for the Russian fan. Firstly, there are 5 Russian players here at once – Pavel Buchnevich, Ivan Barbashev and Vladimir Tarasenko give out the best seasons in their careers in the Blues, while Kirill Kaprizov and Dmitry Kulikov play in Minnesota.
Secondly, there will be no obvious bias towards one of the teams – good, even lineups and a rather active and contact style of play. It is very interesting whether Jordan Binnington will make it to the playoffs – the hero of the Stanley Cup in 2019 received a big contract and slipped a lot (this year he concedes 3 goals per game on average).
Binnington is a fighter in spirit, but he has absolutely no technique – sometimes he gets hit by everything. To catch the difference, watch at least one match of Jordan, and after – one game with the participation of Shesterkin and Vasilevsky, you will immediately understand everything.
However, today Ville Husso played at the gates of St. Louis and still conceded five goals, although the Blues had a three-goal lead by the third period.
He was provided, including a touchdown by Barbashev.
And Tarasenko’s next goal is the 250th goal in his career, and if you take the segment from April 1, then no one in the NHL scores more than a Russian star, that is, Vladimir is in excellent shape for the playoffs – and this is bad news for Minnesota “.
The good news for Minnesota is that they have Kirill Kaprizov, who is ready to solve questions, break club records and score important goals. Today, for example, I scored in the third period and equalized.
This puck was a record – no hockey player in the history of the Wild scored 43 goals in a season. No more Marianov Gaboriks – the guy from Kuzedeevo rules in the main hockey state of the USA.
However, all the efforts of Kaprizov were crossed out by Pavel Buchnevich and Braden Schenn, who decided the moment in overtime. Buchnevich has three points, the highest-scoring season of his career, going for 30 goals in a season and reminding the Rangers that instead of an elite right fielder, they are going to the playoffs with Kakko and Lafrenier.
In general, the dress rehearsal of the playoffs was a success – if we’re lucky, we’ll have 6-7 equally exciting matches in the first round.
