90,000 British TV station filmed a camp of Russian troops near the border with Ukraine
“Satellite images and testimonies show that the number of troops is increasing just a few kilometers from the border with Ukraine, where hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians have been issued Russian passports. The Russian government says these movements are just teachings, “- says the liner to the video.
The journalists visited the Maslovka railway station near the Ukrainian border, where trains with Russian military equipment are being unloaded. She is being moved to the nearest training ground, turned into a huge military field camp, according to Sky News.
It stretches for about 2.4 km and ends in a summer cottage village, where residents of Voronezh come on weekends. They told reporters that the deployment of the camp began at the end of March.
In the camp itself, you can see a large number of military trucks, rows of tents and the Russian military.
Context:
Photos of a Russian military field camp in the Voronezh region were previously published by the Russian Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT) and journalist Christian Tribert of the New York Times.Investigators concluded that the disposition of the Russian forces “is more offensive than defensive.” A significant part of the equipment tracked by journalists belongs to the Central Military District, that is, it covered hundreds and thousands of kilometers to Voronezh.
In 2014, immediately after the annexation of Crimea, Russia launched an armed aggression in eastern Ukraine. The fighting is between the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the one hand and the Russian army and Russian-backed militants who control parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions on the other.Officially, the Russian Federation does not recognize its invasion of Ukraine, despite the facts and evidence presented by Ukraine.
On July 22, 2020, the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) agreed on a complete and comprehensive ceasefire in Donbas from midnight on July 27.
At the beginning of 2021, the situation in Donbass worsened. The Joint Forces operation headquarters has repeatedly reported that the enemy is firing sniper fire. In February, the first president of Ukraine, the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG for the settlement of the conflict in Donbass, Leonid Kravchuk, stated that “there is simply no truce anymore.”
On April 1, the Office of the President of Ukraine reported that since the beginning of 2021, the Russian occupation forces in the Donbas have violated the ceasefire more than 570 times. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on April 6 that since the beginning of the July ceasefire in Donbas, 28 Ukrainian servicemen have died, of which 23 have been killed since the beginning of this year.
In late March – early April, the media and eyewitnesses began to publish video evidence that Russia is actively deploying military equipment to Crimea through the Kerch Bridge and pulling troops to the border with Ukraine (according to American officials, the Russian Federation could have transferred about 4 thousandmilitary personnel).
On March 30, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ruslan Khomchak confirmed that the Russian Federation was building up troops near the border with Ukraine and in the occupied Crimea, which “poses a threat to the military security of the state.” Ukrainian intelligence stated that Russia wants to expand its military presence in the territory controlled by the DPR and LPR militants by introducing regular units of the Russian armed forces, and did not rule out an attempt to move Russian troops deep into Ukraine.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba, the current escalation by the Russian Federation in the Donbas is systemic and the largest in recent years. It contains a threatening element that has not been seen before.
Due to the escalation of the situation in the Donbass, the command of the US forces in Europe has declared maximum readiness. According to the White House and the US Department of State, the number of Russian troops near the border with Ukraine is the highest since 2014.
Interlocutors of Reuters in the Kremlin stated that it was about a show of force, and not about preparation for large-scale action.Former commander of the American army in Europe Ben Hodges suggests that the pulling-in of troops may be a “posturing” of Russia and a “test” of the administration of the new US President Joe Biden.

Stevenson School (also known as Robert Louis Stevenson School and abbreviated RLS ) is a private coeducational school for boarding and day students from preschool through twelfth grade. Its high school and Pre-K through eighth grade campuses are located in Pebble Beach and the unincorporated area of neighboring Carmel, respectively.
History
In 1952, Robert and Marian Ricklefs founded a boarding school in the Monterey Peninsula, which they named after Robert Louis Stevenson, a famous Scottish writer who reportedly found inspiration in his stories of high adventures during his stay. in the 1870s in the Monterey area. Many school buildings, the school newspaper, sports teams and other school facilities are named after places or themes from the life or works of Robert Louis Stevenson.
In its early years, Stevenson was a boys’ school offering instruction in grades 7-12, although grades 7-8 were closed when the high school expanded.
The Pebble Beach campus has had an Episcopal chaplain from the start, although the school has always been open to students of all faiths. The school considers itself non-denominational, and explicit religious instruction is not included in the curriculum. In 1987, Church in the Woods was founded at Erdman Memorial Chapel on the Pebble Beach Campus, initially with Episcopal and Methodist chaplains. The chapel is used by some locals and it is here that boarding students attend Vespers.
Robert Ricklefs was headmaster until his retirement in 1970; he was succeeded by Gordon Davis, during which (1970-1982) the school opened its doors to girls in the daytime department (1976).
Joe Wandke arrived here in 1983 and during his reign the school underwent a major overhaul of the physical plant. In 1988, girls were admitted to boarding schools for the first time with the opening of the Silverado dormitory.
Also in 1988, the school was approached by the board of Briarcliff Academy, a private elementary school in the unincorporated area of Carmel Woods, north of Carmel, regarding the merger of the two schools. Stevenson then became a school with two campuses ranging from kindergarten to grade 12. The Carmel campus (grades K through 8, added Pre-K in September 2011) is located in Carmel, while the Pebble Beach campus (grades 9-12) is in its original location. the location of the school in Pebble Beach.
