How long have you been playing lacrosse, and who first got you into it?
I first started playing in 5th grade. I attended a Thanksgiving camp put on by Matt Ogelsby and All West Lacrosse Camps. Â Ever since then I have just loved the game. Â I was so fortunate to have gotten started with a coach like Matt Ogelsby. Â He is an amazing athlete and was a 3 time All-American at Duke. Matt has taught me everything I know about lacrosse. I continue to work out with Matt and he continues to push me on the field and in the classroom. He checks on me regularly and has been huge in helping me get noticed by college coaches.
Did you get a chance to see the Brown/UNC game in San Francisco?

 It was nice to be able to give back and Help the BAYS foundation, which sponsored the event.  The game itself was awesome.  I am a huge Billy Bitter fan and it was great to be able to see him play, I am trying to incorporate some of his game into mine.
What has been the highlight of your lacrosse career so far?
My on the field highlight was in Maryland last month with the West Coast Starz when I had back-to-back-to-back(3) goals in our final game. We were down 4-1 at the time and we went on to win 6-5. My-off the field lacrosse highlight is anytime I get to coach my younger brothers (I have 3) or volunteer at one of Matt Ogelsby’s camps.
What would you like to accomplish now, and then in College lacrosse wise?
Right now I want to help St. Ignatius go undefeated the next two years. As far as college lacrosse is concerned, my goal is to get into the best school possible and then contribute any way I can to the lacrosse team./cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/60794897/LXM18_PENN_037_.0.jpg)
What do you think the biggest adjustment is going to be for you in college?
During this summer I was fortunate enough to play against guys like Roy Lang (Cornell) and Alex Capretta (Princeton) a few times and just the speed and confidence that they play with was very different than the high school game. So definitely the speed of the game will take a little bit of adjusting to.
Has playing for West Coast Starz helped you with the recruiting process/ What colleges are you looking at, or have you gotten letters from?
 Yes, playing with West Coast Starz has been huge in the recruiting
process. Â There is something very cool about playing with 15 kids who play at a similar level and then having the success that we have had and win as many games as we have in front of all those college coaches is just amazing.
I have been contacted by Yale, Princeton, Georgetown, Notre Dame, and Dartmouth to name a few. The trip this past summer to Yale was particularly helpful because I was able to get on Yale’s radar early.
Then they were able to see me play with West Coast Starz in Maryland which was cool but the best part is that they were able to talk and ask questions to my Starz coaches. I believe Coach Max Ritz, Coach Xander Ritz, and Coach Scott Hochstadt all spoke to them about me. The feedback I have gotten back from the Yale coaches since then has been very positive.
You recently took a trip east with the West Coast Starz to the tournament in Maryland, how was the trip? Who were some of the players that stuck out to you?
This was my second trip with West Coast Starz and our team went undefeated which was awesome. Â One of the great things about these tournaments is playing with guys that you have not really ever played with before and then just seeing what you can do out there with them. Â A couple guys that really stuck out to me were: Zach Weaver our goalie, Michael Bullett and Michael Riis our defensemen, Kyle Runyon was awesome and Barrett Mistele is going to be a great college player..jpg)

 I enjoy surfing and just spending time with family and friends.

 We have a really good Mexican restaurant close to school called Gordo Taqueria.  It was my pre-game meal last year and I always get the same thing …a beef super burrito.

If you could travel anywhere where would it be, and what would you do there?

 I have never been outside the country, so if I could travel anywhere it would probably be either to Europe or Australia. I would love to just go sightseeing and enjoy being in a new and different place. It would also be fun to surf in Australia.

 My family.  I have wonderful parents and a big family.
 We have 8 kids, including myself, and there is always a lot of excitement and many things going on at home.

Gregory Benford, Larry Niven, Chalice of Heaven (2012) If you have read Evelyn Waugh, the title of the article will give you comprehensive information about the content of the book under review. Better than Niven and Benford, perhaps, none of the American science fiction writers of our time knows demiurgy – the craft of meticulous, thoughtful, painstaking, sometimes boring, but ultimately gracious prescribing the technical specifications of the setting. The canonical works of Larry and Gregory in this genre date back to 19In the 1970s, if the Ringworld and Moshka in the Eye of the Lord , together with Purnell, are known to us and enjoy well-deserved popularity (even a disgusting translation could not kill it), then Benford’s novels from the cycle about the Galactic Center are practically unknown, although they are not much inferior to Niven’s works in scope. English fiction studies use the unfortunate term stapledonian to characterize such books; I don’t like him, because at Stapledon my jaws are torn by a mighty yawn, but I must mention. However, Benford in Russia is unlucky with the reader to such an extent that he has not even been awarded a bibliography here. What is good about stapledonian fiction? It is very beneficial for both the author and the publisher, as well as the reader. These worlds, as a rule, are quest worlds, grandiose, they can be built on, upgraded, explored, deepened, and, if necessary, destroyed with relative ease, as Niven did with the Ring World in the recent Return from the Ring World . Interest in them remains for years and decades, on which you can build a Future Story â„¢, abundant in prequels, sequels and interquels; The author’s fans wait for the release of each next book, holding their breath and preparing a bottle of Hennessy to argue about the nature of this or that twist / cliffhanger, the level of sales from novel to novel, if it falls, then not much: it no longer depends on the quality of literary production. For such cycles, forgive me the criminal analogy, they get addicted from the first dose – or they don’t catch at all. And those who were not hooked by the start book can not be taken into account at all in the calculation of the Target Audience. The side effect is that at least one failed book in the cycle will appear sooner or later. There are not so many exceptions, from evenly strong multi-volume books offhand one can recall Banks’ Culture and Vinge’s Zones of Thought. Chalice of Heaven is a classic example of the first super quest dose. It is clear that she will have a sequel (this is directly stated on the last page of the novel), and, most likely, not even one. It is clear that the novel will be nominated for several awards and, most likely, will be limited to these nominations, because now such fiction is not in vogue. This is a very thorough, well-written, professional novel about First Contact and astro-engineering curiosities – no cyberpunk, no nanotech, no farcasters, no time machines. Basic performance characteristics of the New Superquest: 0. The first case of co-authorship of Niven and Benford in large form. Collaborations are commonplace for Niven, but Benford hasn’t released a book together since 1990 ( Beyond the Fall of Night ). 1. A colossal bowl-shaped artifact the size of the solar system, inside of which a small star photon perpetual motion engine blazes: have you ever thought of a literal interpretation of the term “starship”? 2. A tiny earthly ship in comparison, stuffed from top to bottom with primitive hibernators and oxygen regenerators, a flimsy metal-plastic boat for dreamer monkeys, whose intelligence and basic biochemistry are so primitive that they have to think about rest, nutrition, waste removal, learning, reproduction and in an explicit form, and not through the collective subconsciousness of the Race, to plan these actions. 3. Bird-like creatures that inhabited the Chalice long abandoned by its creators, whose genome has been reshaped to the last chromosome to transfer the above activity into the mode of reflexes: The human creature had a summing time of a few of its own eyeblinks, a trifling interval. It used that scale to integrate information. That meant it could not delegate to its lesser parts the boring business of keeping itself alive. This small, intense being was forced to worry about its housekeeping, such as digestion, excretion, even the intake and outblow of oxygen. Could it be so pointlessly busy? Difficult to know, but depressing to contemplate. The basis for the comprehension of human psychology by birds will undoubtedly be a valuable, but deplorable general observation: if two people stand close to each other, in the next moment they will either arrange a fight or make love … Trivial? And you try so vykobenitsya in flight. 4. Glory planetary system, common destination of the “Sun Seeker” and Chalice. The laws of physics are rigidly set, the author’s will is determined, the figures are arranged on a bowl-shaped board, the action begins. The characters of people, as usual, reflect their functions. The characters of aliens (or rather, foreigners), as usual, are magnificent. Drawings and diagrams are attached: Handheld computers from the time of Moshka, however, have forgotten how to buzz and eat from wires. But this can hardly be considered a disadvantage. You miss sci-fi without Clarke’s Third Law, nanotechnology, time machines, virtual policies, hyperspace battlecruisers and beyond shortened wormholes, but with clear rules of the game, universal screwdrivers in the spaceman’s buttock pocket, honest relativistic effects, brainy protein-carbohydrate scientists, Dyson spheres with a big fig on the pole and constant coolant leaks from cryogenic coffins? Which turned out to be very strange: there are few editions, but among those that are, there is a new collection by Pratchett (quite a bit inferior to the very rare “Once More” – those who wish can compare editions) and the British edition of the new translation of “Roadside Picnic” (and not just anywhere, but in series SF Masterworks ), well, and in general – an optimistic biliophile will find a good book anywhere. In addition, I want to thank my colleague Ghost of smile , thanks to whom Simon Green’s new story (which, by the way, will not be published anywhere else) did not pass by our column, as well as Claviceps P. — Sasha not only drew my attention to the second volume of the anthology The Ghost of Fear and Others 90 094, he also threw in a trio of lost anthologies (albeit released a long time ago, but not lost their relevance), so that he would not be bored. I repeat – do not let us miss worthwhile new items. Banks was released in America with an interval of a week, so it’s new. Although I wanted to throw it out for the fact that they changed the excellent first version of the cover to a British one. P.P.S. Trying to cram “then” in is lazy, it’s unmusical, and it doesn’t solve the problem of too many “and”s on the page. 
Pilots was the last novel to be published under a contract with Bantam Spectra, and after that the license to publish works on Star Wars for an adult audience passed to Del Rey, who had their own views on the further development of the Saga.
Chronologically, “Mercy Kill” is the latest novel in the Expanded Universe, however, familiarity with previous books is not required to understand the plot. The novel contains a minimum of references to the events of “Fate”, and readers receive all the necessary information from briefings for the main characters, who also have to be brought up to date.
From the behavior of Wurt himself, only one thing is clear – he is highly suspicious of the Yuuzhan Vong. And given that one of the Ghost recruits is just a Wong, the situation in the team is heating up a lot.
But Wedge is present only in a cameo, and even then his appearance is more likely dictated by the name of the series to which the novel belongs, than by the needs of the plot./cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/69254864/_big_030621mlax09.0.jpg)
But the main villain turned out to be absolutely faded and unmemorable. He bears no comparison with either Ysanne Isard or the warlord Zsinj. Despite the considerable forces at his disposal, Stavin Tal is unable to accomplish anything in the entire book, and all his small successes are the fruit of the Wraiths’ mistakes rather than his own efforts.
It can be read in isolation from previous books in chronology, but familiarity with the X-Wing cycle is necessary.
