The Final Four Teams: Maryland, Albany, Yale, and Duke
The 2018 NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Championship is down to its final four teams. After an intense season and tournament, the Maryland Terrapins, Albany Great Danes, Yale Bulldogs, and Duke Blue Devils have emerged as the last teams standing. These four powerhouses will face off at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts over Memorial Day weekend to determine this year’s national champion.
Defending Champions: Maryland Terrapins
The Maryland Terrapins enter the Final Four as the defending national champions, having won their first title in 42 years last season. Despite losing several key players from their championship roster, the Terps have reloaded with young talent. Sophomore Jared Bernhardt and freshmen Bubba Fairman and Logan Wisnauskas have stepped up to join veteran leaders like Tewaaraton finalist Connor Kelly, midfielder Tim Rotanz, and goalie Dan Morris.
First-Time Semifinalists: Albany Great Danes
The Albany Great Danes are making their first-ever appearance in the national semifinals. Led by a relaxed yet supremely talented squad, Albany has captivated fans with their exciting style of play. Key players to watch include FOGO TD Ierlan, who went toe-to-toe with Denver’s Trevor Baptiste in the quarterfinals, and attackman Connor Fields, who appears fully healthy after battling injuries earlier in the season. Freshman phenom Tehoka Nanticoke has also drawn attention for his unique skillset.
Return to Glory: Yale Bulldogs
The Yale Bulldogs have reached Championship Weekend for the first time since 1990. Yale boasts a stout defense anchored by freshman Chris Fake, which may be the best unit remaining in the tournament. On offense, Tewaaraton finalist Ben Reeves and Jackson Morrill lead a potent attack that can keep pace with any team.
Blue Devils Back on Top: Duke
Duke returns to Championship Weekend for the first time since winning back-to-back titles in 2013 and 2014. The Blue Devils are led by senior attackman Justin Guterding, who recently broke the all-time NCAA career goals record. Key Players to Watch in the Final Four
The 2018 NCAA Lacrosse Championships will showcase some of the best talent in college lacrosse. Here are some of the top players to keep an eye on during the Final Four:
Connor Kelly (Maryland) – Tewaaraton Finalist
Connor Kelly has been the driving force behind Maryland’s offense all season. The senior midfielder is a finalist for the Tewaaraton Award, given to the most outstanding player in college lacrosse. Kelly’s leadership and scoring ability will be crucial if the Terps hope to repeat as national champions.
TD Ierlan (Albany) – Face-off Specialist
TD Ierlan has been dominant at the face-off X all year for Albany. His ability to win possessions gives the Great Danes’ high-powered offense more opportunities to score. Ierlan’s battle against Trevor Baptiste in the quarterfinals was one of the highlights of the tournament so far.
Ben Reeves (Yale) – Tewaaraton Finalist
Yale’s offense runs through senior attackman Ben Reeves. Another Tewaaraton finalist, Reeves has the ability to both score and distribute at an elite level. His chemistry with sophomore Jackson Morrill has made Yale’s attack one of the most dangerous in the country.
Justin Guterding (Duke) – All-Time Goals Leader
Justin Guterding recently broke the NCAA record for career goals scored. The senior attackman is the centerpiece of Duke’s offense and will look to cap off his historic career with a national championship. Guterding’s scoring touch and leadership make him one of the most impactful players in the tournament.
Storylines to Follow in the 2018 NCAA Lacrosse Championships
As the Final Four approaches, several compelling narratives have emerged. Here are some of the top storylines to keep an eye on during Championship Weekend:
Can Maryland Repeat as Champions?
After breaking a 42-year title drought last season, the Terrapins are looking to go back-to-back. Despite losing several key contributors from last year’s team, Maryland has reloaded with young talent. Can this mix of veterans and newcomers bring another championship back to College Park?
Will Albany’s Cinderella Run Continue?
The Great Danes have reached the Final Four for the first time in program history. Their exciting style of play and talented roster have made them fan favorites throughout the tournament. Can Albany continue their magical run and capture their first national title?
Is This Yale’s Year to Break Through?
Yale has been knocking on the door of a national championship for several years now. With a stingy defense and potent offense led by Ben Reeves, the Bulldogs may have their best shot yet at claiming the crown. Can Yale win its first NCAA lacrosse title?
Duke Seeking Return to Lacrosse Dominance
After winning back-to-back titles in 2013 and 2014, Duke has experienced a relative championship drought. Now back in the Final Four, can the Blue Devils reclaim their spot atop the college lacrosse world?

Late May in Massachusetts can bring a wide range of temperatures. Players will need to be prepared for potentially warm and humid conditions, which could affect stamina and hydration needs.

The 2018 NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse final four is set!
A journey that began in September with fall ball has culminated with one final weekend for four teams.
The Maryland Terrapins, Albany Great Danes, Yale Bulldogs, and Duke Blue Devils will play for a national championship on Memorial Day Weekend at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough (or Foxboro?), Massachusetts.
The Terps won it all last year after beating Ohio State in the national championship game at Gillette for their first title in 42 years. They don’t have players such as Matt Rambo, Colin Heacock, Dylan Maltz, Tim Muller, or Isaiah Davis-Allen, but a young group of guys led by sophomore Jared Bernhardt and freshmen Bubba Fairman and Logan Wisnauskas join a still experienced group that includes Tewaaraton finalist Connor Kelly, midfielder Tim Rotanz, and goalie Dan Morris. They beat Cornell on Sunday to move on to their fifth straight Championship Weekend appearance.
Albany and their relaxed and talented team are playing in the national semifinals for the first time in program history. They defeated Denver on Saturday in the best matchup of the weekend, highlighted by FOGO TD Ierlan’s even matchup against Pioneers FOGO Trevor Baptiste, each winning 15 draws. Attackman Connor Fields appears to be fully healthy again after missing some games earlier in the season with a leg injury. Tehoka Nanticoke shows qualities that have not been seen by any player in recent memory, or even ever. If you’re watching lacrosse for the first time, you’re going to want to tune in to ESPN2 Saturday at noon to watch this team. You’ll instantly love the sport.
The Bulldogs are back in Championship Weekend for the first time since 1990, when they lost to Loyola in the semifinals. They beat the same Loyola team Saturday in a rain-filled game thanks to a big performance by their defense, highlighted by freshman Chris Fake. Yale might have the best defense out of the four teams remaining in the field, but their offense is also talented, led by Tewaaraton finalist Ben Reeves and Jackson Morrill at attack.
Duke is back in Championship Weekend for the first time since 2014, when they won their second of two straight titles. It’s the first time the Blue Devil senior class is playing on Memorial Day Weekend, led by attackman Justin Guterding, who just broke the all-time record for goals scored in a career in a win over Johns Hopkins on Sunday. Guterding and goalie Danny Fowler have a group of freshmen that have made an impact in recent weeks, including attackman Joe Robertson and midfielder Nakeie Montgomery.

Expert advice
When choosing tires for your car, you must first follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Ask yourself some questions.
- On which roads will the vehicle be predominantly driven?
- Do you need increased cross-country ability?
- What part of the journey will be urban roads, and which route?
- Will the vehicle carry heavy loads?
The answers to these and similar questions will help you determine which tire parameters you need to pay special attention to.
How to choose the right wheels for Buick LaCrosse 2018?
3 types of rims:
- Stamped (economical price category) – made from iron sheet by stamping on a press.
- Light alloy – made by “casting” (more reliable than stamped).
- Forged (the highest quality and more expensive than the previous ones) – made from light alloys by stamping at high temperatures.
The choice depends on financial possibilities. However, it should be borne in mind that the quality of the road surface on which you have to drive every day must also be taken into account.
So, when it gets into a pit, a stamped wheel will bend and will not harm the tire, while a forged or cast one can cut it. There is a possibility that the cast disc may burst or split.
It should also be noted that the repair of “stamping” is cheaper than the repair of cast or forged wheels. But wheels with high-quality cast and forged wheels kill the suspension less, because. lighter and have better geometry (better balanced).
The same rims may or may not rub with tires on the same car – this is where wheel alignment can help.
What is the tire pressure?
It is the responsibility of the driver to constantly monitor tire pressure. This will avoid the standard problems associated with the operation of the vehicle. Non-nominal pressure often causes:
- poor control;
- uneven tread wear.
Often the car owner himself reduces the pressure in the wheels of his own vehicle. Thus, the load on the suspension is reduced, the car “passes” various bumps in the road much easier. But it is worth noting: a decrease in pressure even by 0.1 MPa leads to serious problems. The main ones include:
- increased fuel consumption;
- rapid wear of the extreme tread segments;
- the car becomes less maneuverable.
An overinflated wheel is no less of a problem. The central part of the balloon begins to wear down quickly. In addition, at an ambient temperature of more than 60 degrees Celsius, the tire may simply explode. Which will lead to the exit into the oncoming lane.

Biuck LaCrosse appeared before the public in 2016 at an exhibition in Los Angeles. In the same year, the model went on sale in the United States of America.
The car is positioned in the E segment and is aimed primarily at the middle-aged consumer audience, which has already managed to achieve a high social status, but at the same time leads an active lifestyle. The model is designed to conquer its customers with its spectacular design, rich equipment, as well as a powerful engine.
Sales of the Buick Lacrosse in the non-European market did not start at the official level. However, according to many experts, as well as insiders at GM, the car may come to the Old World under the name Opel Omega C.
The Germans are planning to revive their iconic auto business segment on the basis of the American sedan. According to presumed data, the presentation of the new “German” will take place in late 2017 – early 2018.

The Buick Lacrosse sells quite well in the US and has a considerable number of admirers. Below is the experience of operating the real owner of this car.
This sedan caught my eye with its stylish design and affordable price. Therefore, the purchase was somewhat spontaneous. However, as time has shown, I did not have to regret my purchase. I have already driven 15 thousand miles (a little over 24 thousand 100 kilometers) on the Buick LaCrosse and, based on what I have passed, I can draw the first conclusions.
I will be extremely brief, so I will divide my review into two sections – advantages, disadvantages.
Advantages:
- Stylish design.
- Functional, comfortable interior.
- Good acceleration dynamics.
- Smooth automatic transmission.
- Good soundproofing.
Drawbacks:
- Not too “sharp” handling.
- Rigid suspension.
- Small trunk.

The personification of the style
Buick Lacrosse III can really be called one of the most stylish representatives of the E. The American sedan segment attracts the interested glances with the narrowed front heads with square brackets, convex hoods, muscular wheel arches, rectangular arches of the wheels pipes exhaust system.
The respectability of the car is given by the chrome trim of the window frames, large rims of the 20th diameter and the drop-down roof.
Tribute to brevity
The interior can be called luxurious, while the front panel has nothing superfluous and is quite ergonomic. The assembly pleases with the precise fit of the panels, but the quality of the materials causes twofold feelings.
On the one hand, the leather trim of the dashboard and door cards pleases, on the other hand, its rudeness upsets. The plastic is also harsh, although its texture is visually pleasing.
The instrument panel is combined: a tachometer, as well as fuel and coolant level indicators are made analog, but the speedometer is a virtual “donut” with an on-board computer inside. However, the readability of the “toolkit” is excellent thanks to a clear font and bright backlighting.

The high tunnel flows smoothly into the center console. The latter housed the climate system control unit, as well as an eight-inch color screen of the multimedia and entertainment complex.
Multimedia supports CarPlay, Android Auto, has a Wi-Fi hotspot, rearview camera, navigation. For lovers of gadgets, wireless charging of mobile devices is provided.
The driver’s seat with servo drives is not devoid of side support rollers, but they are widely spaced and will clearly fix only the overall driver. The rear sofa can easily accommodate three passengers, and their height can reach up to 190 centimeters. But, the volume of the luggage compartment is only 402 liters, which is not so much compared to the competitors of the model.
Phlegmatic character
Atmospheric “six” endows Buick Lacrosse with excellent acceleration, but the acceleration process itself cannot be called emotional.
